Word had quickly spread about the arrival of Celestia's son and all of Canterlot was abuzz with excitement. Nobles from all over readied their best gifts and attire to prepare for the occasion in hopes of impressing the prince while in Canterlot Castle.

Stormwind spent his morning in meditation, He sat on his knees inhaling the smell of the incense in his room hearing nothing but the sound of his breath and on his shoulder was his cutie mark; Two swords crossed over a shield. Once his mind was cleared Stormwind slowly picked up his swords and began practicing his technique, starting off with slow, steady movements before going into a rapid succession of attacks fighting imaginary opponents but to his surprise when he finished he heard the sound of applause.

"Well done."

"AH!! MOTHER!!"

The young stallion was without his shirt so it was natural to feel embarrassed around his mother who proceeded to giggle thinking it was no big deal.

"Oh no need to be shy dear. I see you've been taught well."

"My master helped raise me after father was forced to turn evil...I was away when it happened."

"It's not your fault Stormwind. Your father sacrificed everything to save his kingdom, he was a hero."

Celestia could tell her son felt guilty for not being there during the attack on Sombras kingdom and that it ate at him every day but like any mother all it took was a simple stroke of the head and a smile to cheer him up.

Later at the main hall all the princesses had been gathered along with Twilights friends from ponyville. All soon fell quiet as the guards announced the arrival of Celestia and Stormwind, to their surprise the young prince had arrived dressed in a black leather jacket but this time without his two swords, as Celestia sat back on her throne Stormwind placed a hand over his heart bowing in respect to the four princesses who bowed in return and later the party was in full swing as Twilight introduced herself.

"It's wonderful to meet you i'm-!"

"Twilight Sparkle. The nicer version thank goodness."

"eh heh...I'm guessing the me from the other equestria isn't so nice?"

"If you don't count trying to poison me, having a bounty put on my head then yeah."

"(notices the others staring at her looking shocked) What?"

Twilights friends quickly acted like they heard nothing pretending to make casual conversation as Stormwind simply smiled since he never knew this side of them back in his home before he looked back at the crowd enjoying themselves.

"Well I am Rarity and I must say that outfit your wearing is marvelous! Matches you perfectly."

"Thanks I don't really like dressing out that much so I stick to black."

"And that is-!! Excuse me..."

Rarity's face suddenly had the look of disgust on her as she turned and walked away from the others, Stormwind quickly turned to see his cousin Prince Blueblood who was flirting with some of the mares at the party who quickly noticed him and called him over to join in.

"COUSIN! It's so nice to finally meet you. Girls this is my aunt Celestia's son."

"Ladies. (bows)"

"I heard you took down ten of the royal guards single hoofed! is that true?"

"More or less."

Despite being polite Stormwind did not like socializing with others that much and returned to the table to join his mother and aunt for tea until he spotted one silhouette move by the window and his gaze became focused.

Without a word he quickly left the party to investigate the courtyard, having a good memory of where he was sitting he moved to the window where he spotted the shadow and found a feint set of prints in the grass as two guards rushed over.

"Sire is something wrong?"

"We have an intruder...You! bring my swords but keep it quiet and as for you you're with me."

"Yes sir!"

While the first guard left Stormwind took the other with him following the trail all the way to the chamber that held the elements of harmony and the locked looked like it had been tampered with and before they knew it a changeling ambushed the guard that escorted Stormwind.

"SCREEE!!"

"AHHH! HELP!! HELP ME!!"

"GEEZE!!"

Quickly grabbing the guards spear Stormwind impaled the changeling on the shoulder pinning it to the wall before checking on the guard who unfortunately had suffered a severe wound to his neck during the attack.

"You alright?!? say something!!"

"*grabs him by the arms giving a firm grip* You must *wheeze!* warn the princesses....*breaths his last as he falls back*"

In that soldiers last moments Stormwinds heart fell into sadness and rage as the other guard came back with his swords to see the changeling and his partner dead. Stormwind gently laid the dead guard on the ground and closed his eyelids before crossing his arms over his chest and as he stood a look of vengeance and blood lust filled his eyes before he walked over grabbing his swords.

Back at the party everyone was enjoying themselves as the music played on while Luna and Celestia wondered what happened to Stormwind then out of nowhere a handful of guards came in telling them that they were extra security but Cadence felt uneasy as she felt a familiar chill crawl up her spine and spotted one of their eyes give off a green glow and quickly stood up completely frightened.

"CHANGELINGS!!!"

The crowd gasped in horror hearing her as the guards around them transformed along with their weapons each taking a hideous form. The changelings quickly surrounded the party guests along with Prince Blueblood who was trembling with fright as he stood there. The four princesses were left helpless knowing they could not do a thing without risking the lives of their citizens and amidst the chaos Queen Chrysalis appeared.

"Greetings everypony! Celestia, Luna, Candence and....Twilight."

"Chrysalis!"

Chrysalis had not forgotten the part Twilight and Cadence played in her defeat and was infuriated just being around them but remembered she was there on a mission and was starting to look a little impatient when Shining Armor stepped right up to her looking enraged after remembering what she did to him.

"WHY ARE YOU HERE?!?"

"I'm here for the elements of harmony of course but it seems that scout of mine is running late-!!"

"He's right here...."

Stormwind kicked the doors open holding the wounded changeling in one hand as a lightning bolt flashed out of nowhere covering everything in shadow but Stormwinds green eyes which seemed to have filled everyone with fear as he slowly approached her dropping her minion before her feet.

"This guy told me everything. You guys are after the elements of harmony but the problem is you can't use them so....i'm guessing someone has hired you to steal them...someone powerful."

"Smart boy. You must be Celestia's son."

Stormwind simply smirked feeling a little flattered while counting at least twenty guards surrounding the room and with that he slowly drew his swords from their sheathes taking a deep breath while chrysalis bursted into laughter.

"You're kidding! you're kidding right?"

"Just send your goons after me already. It's past my bed time and i'm very cranky..."

"You arrogant little-END HIM!!!"

In the blink of an eye ten of the changelings charged him at once weapons and claws bared but for Stormwind time simply slowed down as he opened his eyes to see them coming at him and with one swift movement they were instantly dispatched leaving Chrysalis completely shocked. Her minions laid before unconscious with broken bones and bruised faces as she looked at him sweating anxiously as he stepped forward pointing a blade at her.

"Tell your employer this: He better bring an entire army next time he comes for the elements!"

"GRR!! This isn't over!! Minions fall back!!"

Stormwind had allowed Chrysalis to escape with her minions before sheathing his swords before signaling the guards to come in and check on the party guests while Twilight and the others came up to him amazed at his skill and the fact that he took down ten opponents without spilling a single drop of blood with Rainbow Dash being the first to ask a series of many questions.

"That...was...AWESOME!! How'd you do that?!?

"You just took them out without killing them!"

Stormwind simply drew one of his swords showing that only one edge had been sharpened while the other left dull as he uttered these words.

"One edge to defeat, one to defend."
