Celestia had continued her daily duties with the help of her sister Luna, signing the daily paperwork and showing face to the public to raise morale among the citizens but as the day grew Luna began to notice her sister was distant and depressed and grew concerned as they stopped for tea at the royal gazebo in the castle garden.

"Sister? is something troubling you?"

"Hm? what?"

Celestia was caught off guard by Luna's question as she tried to act natural taking a quick sip of her tea while she raised an eyebrow at her. Not being able to hide it Celestia let out a sigh and told her sister what was on her mind.

"It's Sombra..."

"You miss him don't you? I understand but our worlds must remain separate for a reason."

Despite being in agreement with her sister Celestia felt that it was unfair to be separated from the one pony she loved. She remembered the times they spent together before Starswirl closed off the portals but Luna sensed it was much more than that as she tried to cheer her big sister up with a smile which had worked to a small extent.

Later that night as Luna raised the moon a bright flash was spotted coming from Starswirls old lab and thanks to Twilights notes of his map she quickly found her way through where she spotted a hooded figure rummaging through Starswirls notes as she silently summoned her sword going in for the attack only to be blocked by the intruders twin blades.

"Who are you?!? State your business here!!"

"...."

"Silent are we? very well!! AAH!!"

Luna charged in thinking she had the advantage with her flight and magical abilities as she used her magic to blast him only to be caught off guard as two wings unfurled from his cloak as he swooped in pinning her to the wall keeping his face hidden.

Luna struggled to push back but noticed her opponent wasn't even making an effort to try and finish her off.

"I don't want to fight you!!"

"Really? they think otherwise!"

The intruder quickly turned to block two halberds wielded by the royal guard members and the room was filled by ten of them each heavily armed but despite their superior numbers the masked intruder proved to be a master of the sword as they were all quickly disarmed when the dust settled the intruder fell to his knees exhausted as Luna placed her blade against his chest just as Celestia arrived hearing the noise.

"LUNA STOP!!"

Luna had ceased her attack at the last moment wondering what had just happened. Celestia had gotten a glimpse of two green eyes that had seemed very familiar to her as the swordsman revealed himself to be a young colt with a gray coat, black mane and green eyes and as Celestia came closer her eyes swelled with tears as she reached out slowly uttering his name.

"S....Stormwind?"

"Hello mother.

Hearing those two words Princess Celestia wept with joy embracing her son as the guards quickly knelt down recognizing a member of royalty while Luna stood there in shock realizing she had almost killed the nephew she never knew she had. The next day Celestia explained that during her relationship with King Sombra of the reverse world she had given birth to a foal before Starswirl sealed off the portal, Stormwind was that foal. Putting last night behind them Luna was so excited to meet her long lost nephew but not as excited and joyful as Celestia was seeing the young stallion he had grown into and after finally catching up the two sisters decided to invite Princess Cadence along with Princess Twilight and her friends to meet with him and welcome him to Canterlot.
