It's about fantasising of a world, a society so unlike one's own physically, politically, sexually, but it exists. Only, it's not a tribe of humans... And the thought is a turn on, but you don't tell your partner because it's kind of obscure. So you keep the roleplay on the paper.

This is quite a personal one, god knows why I'm uploading it here. But meh.

Is it loneliness or boredom that draws meTo this envy that I feel, at the image before me?Why do they send me to distant worlds of my ideals?I pretended we were strangers, curious, unsureYou calm the cortisol in our bloodYour touch is rough, I begged for speedWe were taken far away, to the rain dappled greenAnd where the sweet crop grows bountiful I taste the sugarcane in your kissYour dark eyes glow amber until you pull awayAnd you're just as you've always beenIt's merely a fantasy, a game of charades On the paper we no longer look the sameThe transformation begins, in my hands, in my brainAnd you never even noticed It's nothing untoward, yet one day you transformedAnd you resembled someone from a film I once sawMy body makes sanctions for what I know isn't realAnything is possible when I play this other beingIs it frustration that sounds their call? Is my own world so dull?I gazed on with jealousy at this spectacle I foundCoveting a lifestyle so alien to me Where raindrops turn to mist in the canopyAnd the key to my heart is sugarcane
