Chapter 3: The lost temple

We looked around as we saw nothing but darkness.

"It's really dark in here, Adam." I knew what to do. I got a torch and two rocks. I swiped the two rocks together a few times until the torch lit with fire. "Wow!" _____ said on awe. "How did you do that with just two rocks?"

"Some human skills just have to be learnt to be approved." I replied in return. "Let's go.

"Alright." We went started our descent into the dark hall with a torch as our only light source. The torches flame danced as we descended into the dark hall of the temple. The wall was encrypted with some sort pictures and signs I've never seen before. "Hang on." He pulled on my bag. "I've seen this sign before." He got out some sort of book out of his bag. Then he flipped to a random page in his book. And looked at the sign in his book. "I knew it!"

"What? What is it?"

"Bring the torch over here!" I brought the torch to where the book was. "I see. This sign means 'save'."

"We get it." I said "But save what?"

"We'll get it." He closed his book. "Whatever is inside the temple I believe."

"Well..." I started. Then I nodded. "I believe in us."

"So do I." _____ added. "Let's advance." He walked on as I quickly followed. I started feeling a little tired. Walking as an Oshawott is not easy as I thought, as I walked into the deep dark path ahead.

As we advanced deeper into the temple, the corridor, the hall was getting slightly steeper.

"How long do you think it goes on for?" I asked _____. He replied saying

"I don't know. But I'm sure we'll find out. I just know it!" I nodded my head. I just know that we have to think positive to get through this strange temple we are in. The walls started widening out the halls started getting lighter. We walked a little more quickly towards the end of the corridor. As we got out, our eyes widened in awe. We saw a statue in the middle, made of bronze, silver and gold. As in a shape of a figure, it looked a little... overweight. We stared at it in confusion. I thought to my-self...

"Why does the statue look fat? Most statues I've seen are not like this. Then why this one in particular?" _____ looked at the statue and started to pick it up. I looked at him in great horror. "Stop!" I shouted. The walls echoed my voice as _____ stopped picking up the statue. I told him, "Do you think it's a good idea to take that statue. What if you set off a trap?" He looked back at me.

"Adam, I think this the thing we are supposed to save. We are doing this for a request for this, remember?" Adam nodded, they decided to do this quest and they are going to finish it.

"Alright," Adam replied. "Pick it up." _____ nodded. He looked back at the statue. And tried picking it up. He started sweating as he tried picking it up. But he just couldn't do it.

"It's no good." He replied, panting. "It's too heavy."

"Well," I started "Let me help you."

"Thanks." He replied. We both tried picking it up, it took some work to do it, but we managed. We did it. Just as we lifted it, we felt something in our body. We blinked in confusion as we felt it just now.

"Did this ever happen to you before" I asked.

"What?" He asked back.

"Did ever feel something jolt in your body before?"

"No. How about you?"

"Neither have I." We started walking away from the strange room. "Arceus, this thing is heavy." I huffed.

"You're telling me." He huffed in reply. "Let's get out of here." I nodded in reply as we carried out the fat statue.

As we carried the statue, we felt the outside breeze reaching our skin. And the green leaves in the trees above us. We carried the statue as we finished the request, finally in the outside world. After what seemed to be hours of walking. We both panted as we both lay on the ground, with the statue behind us. "Wow! What a workout!" He started. "I feel tired after walking all that way." I nodded in reply. It was a long walk out of the temple. We got up and started walking back to paradise. Not knowing that something was following behind us.
