Out of the frying pan, into the fire? Written 2014.

"What did I do to make her so mad?" The fox was looking up at his porcupine friend with ears flat and apologetic eyes as they walked down the street.

"It wasn't you, this time. It sounds like Angie wasn't supposed to invite us in."

"But I liked her, she was really nice."

"She is."

"I don't think I like the white one."

"She didn't seem to like anybody."

"Wish we could have eaten the chicken before we left."

Billy laughed, "You had fish and pussy. Wasn't that enough?"

"The chicken smelled good. And I still didn't get my turn."

He ruffled his friend's ears, "We'll find you a girl someday."

"Do you think she'll like me?"

"That's kind of the idea."

"I mean forever. You seem to never see yours again."

"I'd like to, but our situations don't seem to cooperate."

"For me, either."

"Alright, we'll make it a quest: the quest to get Mutt laid."

"But can I keep her?"

"Ah, yeah. I guess our quest is really to find you a mate, but first thing's first. No girl will want you if you're scared to hump her. We get you a little experience, then finding a mate should come easy."

"Okay, how do we do that?"

"Well, you've mastered licking them and they really seem to like it, but you've got to get more aggressive."

"I don't want to be mean."

"I don't mean be mean. I mean taking the lead. You're always waiting for them to beg you to do it. You've got to step in and show them they want it."

"I was going to, but she pushed me away and told you to do it."

"Well, you waited too long."

"She was still enjoying it."

"That's just it. You just lick them to get them ready, then you move up."

"But it tastes good."

"Yeah, but you want your turn, right?

"I want to find a vixen."

The porcupine sighed, "And you'll get there." He saw a short dog in a suit carrying boxes to his car, "Excuse me sir, could you use some help?"

The canine put the box in his trunk and pushed his ear out of his face as he turned around. He examined the two young morphs with a judgmental stare, "What do you want?"

"Not much. Some food, or maybe let us sleep in your backyard tonight?

He smirked and headed back to the house, waving them in, "Yeah, I can do that. Just don't open anything."

There were boxes stacked along the wall, all the way down the hall, except for a section at the end where he had already moved some.

"Try to pack them in the car as tightly as you can. I want to make as few trips back as I need to."

They started moving boxes and quickly packed his car full.

"Thank you very much. I think I'll do more than one trip today, if you two want to wait around."

"We'd be happy to."

"Okay, I'll lock you inside and you can have something from the kitchen and get a shower. I'll be back after I unload this. Don't open anything." He closed the door as he headed to his car, the lock clicking.

Mutt ran to the door, "Did he really lock us in?"

"Relax. If we really need to go, we can get out a window. Let's go see what's in the kitchen while we wait."

There wasn't much in the kitchen, but he found some bread and peanut butter and made sandwiches.

"What do you think is in the boxes?"

"Doesn't matter. It's not for us."

"But what if it's something bad and we're helping?"

"It's not. Just eat your sandwich."

Mutt ate and was quiet. When they finished, they cleaned up and found the bathroom. Billy turned on the water and stepped in, keeping his quills away from the water, "Well, come on in."

Mutt stepped into the tub and stood under the water, letting his fur soak. Billy started scrubbing through the fox's fur, making sure to get around his neck and under his chin. Mutt grinned and closed his eyes, enjoying the scritching as his porcupine friend worked his way down his slender body. The round claws moved through his fur, down his back and around his sides, over his chest and down his belly, making him giggle a little. He felt those paws he trusted rubbing over his butt and work through his tail, all the way to the tip and back to its base. Billy squatted down and scrubbed his legs, lifting his feet to get between his foxy toes, then back up the inside of his thighs. The porcupine stopped as he noticed that Mutt was enjoying himself a bit too much, with his stiffy sticking out of its sheath.

He looked up at his friend with a smirk, "Thinking about your vixen?"

"Huh? No. I..." the fox looked down and noticed his stiffy standing in front of his friend's face, "I'm sorry. It just felt good."

"Well, that needs cleaning, too." He slid his paw over the fox's erection and wrapped his fingers around it. He smiled as Mutt moaned and gave him a couple strokes before he got an idea. He reached over to turn off the shower, then sat down in the back of the tub. "Sit down and I'll help you with that."

Mutt looked down at him, a little confused, but sat down facing his friend.

Billy grabbed the fox's arm and slid him closer in the wet tub, turning him around and leaning his back against his chest. He reached around and rubbed his friend's thighs, gently pulling them apart, then wrapped a paw around the foxy erection. "Just relax and I'll take care of this."

"I can do that."

"Would you rather do it yourself or would you like me to do it?" He started slowly stroking the little red shaft and rubbed the fox's belly.

Mutt murred softly and relaxed against his friend, "You can do it."

The porcupine gently stroked his friend's penis as he rubbed his belly, trying to get him to relax. "So, what is your vixen like?"

The fox lifted his head, "I don't know"

"Is she red, like you?"

"I don't know."

"Is she big or small, human-like or animal, fuzzy or fluffy?"

"I don't know," the last one came in a frustrated whine.

"Well, what do you see when you think about her?" Billy slid his paw up to the agitated fox's neck and encouraged his friend to relax again.

"Nothing, but I hear her."

"Oh? What does she sound like?"

"She's nice. She cares about me and likes to make me happy."

"How does she do that?"

"Easy. She's there for me."

"She doesn't do anything?

"She does lots of things."

"Like what?"

"She runs with me and hugs me and plays with me and talks with me and we make stuff and we keep ourselves clean and we love each other."

"Sounds like a happy life."

"It is."

"Do you have sex with her?"

He looked down at the brown paw rhythmically stroking his little red member, "Yes."

"What's that like?"

"It's wonderful. We hug and kiss and fit together like a puzzle."

"And it feels good?"

"It feels like heaven and I know that she'll take care of me and our children will be happy." He felt something on his ear and squeaked as the sensation pushed him over the edge. He looked down to see his cum shooting across the tub and stared at it as his penis slipped back into its sheath. "But she's not there."

Billy sighed and patted his friend's belly, "I know, Mutt. Someday she will be." he looked up and noticed the dog in the doorway. He pushed Mutt forward and scrambled to get up, then pull the fox to his feet. "I'm sorry. We were just..." He couldn't think of a believable explanation.

"It's okay. I heard. I..." his gaze darted around the floor like he was trying not to look at anything, then he turned to leave, but stopped himself with his paw on the door frame. He looked halfway back at them, "I want to show you something." He walked away, leaving the fox and porcupine confused.

Billy pulled Mutt's towel from his bag and helped him dry off quickly, then grabbed both bags and headed down the hall to find their canine host with the fox trailing behind.

The long eared dog was unstacking some boxes to get to one on the bottom. He carried it to the kitchen table and stared at it until he realized he was being watched. "Come have a seat. I want to tell you about Chris."

Billy and Mutt sat down at the table as he opened the box. He pulled out a tablet with a fancy frame around it and set it down. He put a small box beside it and started to pull out a folder, but put it back.

He picked up the tablet and turned it on, then set it down with a picture of himself and a fox morph, "This is us. ... When I was young, I was a romantic, like you. I thought I wanted to find a female to make a family with, and I tried. I proposed to a nice Basset girl, but before the wedding came around, she found somebody else to make her family with." He swiped through pictures until he found one with the fox sitting at the kitchen table with a computer. "Chris was a data processor for the court, but he had also gone through school with me. I didn't really notice him then, but he remembered me. When he saw my name on the canceled marriage license, he broke the rules a bit and contacted me." He swiped to a picture of them sitting on a fake horse together. "We started doing things together and I enjoyed spending time with him. He told me he was gay, but never tried to get me to do anything. After a bad night with one of his other friends, we were talking and he thanked me for being his friend and then he kissed me. It felt so natural, that I kissed him back. We didn't do anything more until I had a bad day and he was there for me. I thanked him by letting him suck me off." He paused on a picture of Chris presenting his erection, then continued, passing by pictures of himself in similar poses. "I never really thought of myself as gay, but I wanted to do those things for him, because I liked seeing him enjoy it. We got married because he wanted to be the family that I wanted. He still played around with other guys and tried to get me to, but no other guy aroused me." He came to a picture of the fox in a hospital bed and turned the screen off. "Last month, he suddenly got sick and I took him to the hospital. They said it was a variant of the Mourning virus. I thought that was wiped out years ago, but they told me that variations of it were still persistent and being carried around by people that were immune to the original strain. He was ... he was genetically close enough to the original target that it activated, but it was a weaker form. ... It took him three days to die and I watched him suffer as his organs failed, begging me to give up on him, but I wouldn't." He clutched the small box as he struggled to contain his emotions. "I wish I had been strong enough to just let him go. ... Now I'm packing up all of our things because I just can't stay here anymore." He looked up at his audience and caught his breath. "I'm sorry. I've gone on and on."

Billy smiled, "It's okay. We're good listeners."

The dog smiled and put the small box down. "Well, if I keep talking, we won't get anything else done. The car is empty; let's see how much we can fit in it. You guys can stay the night and I'll come back in the morning for the rest of it." He got up and headed to the hall.

Billy and Mutt followed, but he just stood there staring at the boxes.

"I'm sorry. I just need a moment."

"It's okay, we'll take care of it." Billy grabbed a box and Mutt followed suit. They packed the car and fit all the boxes in the hall into it. When it was starting to get dark, a cheetah came by with a couple pizzas. The dog paid for them and brought them into the kitchen.

As they finished eating, the dog looked at the empty hall and smiled, "You guys are amazing. I thought I would be coming back here for a week to get it all, but now I'm done; and I don't feel so bad about it anymore. You know what," he picked up the small box "The point of my rambling earlier was to tell you that I think you two make a good couple. I want you to have these." He set the box in front of Mutt.

Billy picked up the box before the fox could and opened it. Inside were two silver rings with flowered vines etched around them. "Oh, Mr..."

"Please, call me Davis, though Chris called me D."

"We can't take these."

"Yes, you can. I'm giving them to you."

"I mean, they won't do us any good."

"They can do you more good than they would me. It's obvious that you both care about each other; don't be afraid to take the next step and show it."

"He's like my little brother. Besides, if we wear rings that nice, nobody would believe we're homeless." he tried to give the box back.

"Oh ... If I could give you this place, I would, but we were only renting it. You could sell them and they could help you that way." He pushed the porcupine's paw back towards him.

"If we try to sell something this nice, they'll assume we stole them." Billy took Davis' paw and put the box in it.

"Oh ... Well, I'll sell them, then, and give you the money. I'll pick you up in the morning and we'll go to the jeweler. And hey, this place is paid to the end of the month, so you two can have someplace to stay for almost two weeks. I'd invite you to my new place, but it's a one room flat. Most of our stuff is in storage now."

"That's very generous of you."

"The rest of the pizza is for you. I can get you some more food for the rest of the week and we'll see if we can find something more permanent for you."

"Thank you very much."

"You're welcome. I want to do as much as I can to help you and I know that Chris would want me to. He was very proud of his fox heritage." The dog got up from the table to lead them to another room. "Now, the bed is already gone, but this furniture stays here. The sofa is very comfortable. Here, try it out." He grabbed Mutt's arm and sat on the sofa with him. He stared at him and smiled, "You don't have all his markings, but you are a handsome fox." He stroked Mutt's cheek, then leaned close and sniffed. "I like that fox smell" He inhaled deeply and slid his paw up to rub behind Mutt's ear as his other paw found his thigh. He nuzzled the fox's neck, reveling in the almost familiar scent, and stroked the fox's ears.

Mutt sat frozen, scared to do anything that might ruin everything that was going well. He looked to Billy, who gave him a nod and an encouraging smile, but he still didn't know what to do.

Davis heard the fox whimper and leaned back. He looked down and noticed the little, red tip poking out beside his paw. He smiled and ran his finger over it, watching it react, then looked up at him and rubbed his ear, "It's okay, Chris couldn't resist my touch, either." He leaned over and licked the growing shaft, then wrapped his lips around it.

Mutt looked to Billy again, hoping he would say something, but the porcupine just shrugged and watched. He closed his eyes and tried to think of something else and he remembered Angie sucking on him. He thought of the orange cat's flavor and the memory soon had him hard.

Billy watched his friend getting sucked off by the long eared dog. The fox seemed to be enjoying it. Maybe Davis was right and it wasn't a vixen he should be looking for. His soft, whimpery moans seemed to agree and listening to them was waking up his own erection. He slid his paw around his thigh to stroke it as he watched, but his pleasure was interrupted as Mutt opened his eyes again.

His expression was full of fear as he looked from the dog in his lap, up to his quilled friend. He didn't need to say anything to let him know something was wrong.

Billy stopped his stroking as his mood left. "Um, Davis?" The canine was intent in his task and the porcupine reached out to put his paw on his shoulder, "Hey, D?"

Davis eagerly attended to the throbbing fox cock in his mouth; his wide tongue wrapped around it and stroking every inch. His nose was filled with fox musk and his own fleshy bone begged to be released to slide into its warm, familiar home. Oh, D, he heard his mate's voice and knew it wouldn't be long. He gave those fuzzy, foxy balls a gentle squeeze and was quickly rewarded with a squeaky moan and pulses of warm fox cum splashing onto the back of his tongue. He waited for the last of it, then slid off the tip, letting his tongue trail behind. He noticed his vested vulpine had cum before his knot grew. He smiled and decided to tease him about it, but when he looked up, he saw the wrong fox. He sat up, staring at the terrified, young face and trying to remember how it happened, then he remembered that this fox had a friend. Her turned to look at the porcupine standing beside them and his stomach sank.

Billy watched as their Basset host's face filled with embarrassment and fear. "Are you okay?"

The dog jumped up and rushed past them. He paused and turned for a moment, the bulge in his pants obvious as he fidgeted with what to say, "I'll be right back."

Mutt watched the dog rush away, then looked to Billy. When the porcupine turned to him, he didn't want to hear his friend tell him he had messed everything up again, because he already knew. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. He was sucking on it like Angie did and I was thinking about her and I was wondering what it would feel like if I had gotten inside her and..."

Billy quickly knelt in front of his flustered friend, "It's okay. You're okay. He shouldn't have done that. You didn't do anything wrong."

Mutt stopped and looked confused, "I didn't? But he ran off and now he might not let us stay, all because I squirted in his mouth."

Billy smiled and rubbed the fox's belly, "He wanted you to."

The bellyrubs were working to calm him down, but he still worried, "He did? He didn't look happy."

Billy sighed and put his paw over Mutt's now sheathed staff, "He misses his own fox and I think he forgot for a moment that you aren't him."

"But I'm always me."

Billy smiled and sat sideways on the couch to hug his friend, "I know and I'm glad you're you."

Davis hurried to the bathroom and closed the door. He couldn't believe he had just sucked off some random fox that he picked up off the street. He turned on the water and used his paws to drink some. He rinsed out his mouth, then turned the water off again and stared into the mirror. He wondered if he was really that desperate or if he was losing it without Chris. He imagined his former husband standing beside him and gave him an irritated glare, "This is your fault."

The fox wrapped his arm around his hound's shoulders, looking at him through the mirror, "But you enjoyed it, didn't you?"

Davis sighed, "But it wasn't you."

"It's about time you let go and played with somebody else. Now you just need to relax and get this guy some relief." He slid his paw down to rub his husband's bulge.

Davis opened his pants and pulled out his erection, sighing as he stroked it, "What if he doesn't want it?"

"He's a fox; he'll love it; I love it. I want it." he slipped in front of his lover and wrapped his paws around his favorite part.

"I miss yours."

"Remember when we managed to do each other at the same time?"

Davis smiled to himself as he remembered their awkward maneuvering to knot each other and how long it took to get apart again. Then he remembered his company's straight shaft, "This fox doesn't have a knot."

"Oh? Well, maybe you can show him how good one feels." Chris' markings faded as the image slowly changed to the younger fox sitting on the sink in front of him. This time he was smiling with his legs spread and li'l red member sticking up. The Basset's husband's voice whispered in his ear, "See how much he wants it?"

Davis slowly pushed his shaft into the waiting fox hole and wrapped his paws around his member. He stroked and thrust, plunging deep as his knot knocked against the tight hole. Soon it popped inside and he moaned. His fingers squeezed behind his knot as he stroked with his other paw.

"Mmm, nice. Maybe his friend can help you out, too. I've always wanted to have you in a foursome." He stroked the base of his husband's tail, then slipped a finger underneath.

"Oh, Chris, I know."

"I wonder what a porcupine's penis is like."

He watched in the mirror as the porcupine came up behind him and spread his cheeks to push his erection into him. He slipped a paw between his legs to simulate and stimulate. He felt the eager thrusts and moaned as they pushed him into the fox. He watched as the porcupine reached around to stroke his friend."Oh, Chris, the only thing missing is you."

The older fox stood on the sink and held out his shaft, knot ready.

"Oh, please ... please ... please." Davis moaned as he savored his fantasy, begging for release until it finally came. He held tight as he filled the young fox with his canine cum. The porcupine behind him thrust hard and pumped his porcupine seed deep into the lonely hound. Then the foxes both released their juice together, squirting in sync as they doused the dog.

Davis panted and looked down at the puddle of his cum in the sink. He sighed, wishing his fantasy was real, then jumped at a knock on the door.

"Are you okay?"

He quickly tried to shove his throbbing knot back in his pants, "Yeah, I'm fine. I'll be out in a moment." His erection wasn't cooperating and it only got worse when he heard Chris whisper in his ear, "Maybe you _ can _ make it real. They'll be in your house for two weeks. All you need is a reason to be here with them and the rest will cum naturally."

Billy shrugged and walked back to Mutt.

"Do we have to stay here?" The fox looked very nervous.

"Don't worry, I don't think he'll be doing anything like that again."

"The other fox wants him to."

"What other... Oh. His husband's dead. He won't be doing anything to you, either."

"Are you sure?"

He sat down beside his friend and put his paw on his shoulder. "Very. We'll be fine here. It'll be good to be able to stay in one place for a while."

"I guess. ... I'm tired." He leaned over on his friend.

Billy rubbed the fox's back and let his head slide down to his lap, "We've had a busy day. I know I could use a good night's sleep." He gently stroked Mutt's side until he was sleeping peacefully. Then he looked down at the fox clinging to his leg and wondered how he was going to sleep.

Davis stopped as he entered the room and smiled as he saw the fox with his head in the porcupine's lap. He watched for a moment as his quilled guest shifted his hips and grunted softly. He quietly crept around for a better view, but the porcupine saw him before he could see anything. "You need some release, too? I could help you out. I'm sorry about before. I kind of surprised myself, but I'm okay now. I'd actually like to see what you've got."

Billy whispered harshly, "shh, he's sleeping."

The dog moved further for a better view and realized he wasn't seeing what he thought he was seeing. He covered his mouth for a moment, then whispered, "sorry. Do you need anything?"

Billy thought about what Mutt had said and started to wonder what the cost of their stay might be. He didn't want to rack up a debt that Mutt didn't want to pay. "Um, no, we'll be okay tonight."

"Alright, well..." He looked at the sleeping fox and wondered how nice it would be to be knot deep and hugging a fluffy tail again. "I guess ... I guess I should go, then. I'll come back tomorrow and we can get some pillows and blankets from storage, and anything else you need." He started to leave, still watching the fox, but stopped and leaned close to the porcupine, "Oh, does he have a knot?"

Billy was surprised by the question and looked at his sleeping friend as his mind both searched for an answer and sounded alarms. He formed his careful response and looked up at the dog, "I haven't seen it."

"Oh, well, good night." Davis walked to the hall, turning back for one more look before he made himself go out to his car.

Billy rubbed his friend's arm as he heard the front door close. "Well, looks like we'll be back on the road tomorrow. At least when it's just us, we know what to expect." Nor able to escape Mutt's grip on his thigh, he lay down behind the fox and brushed his tail down to use as a pillow. He wrapped his arm around his friend's waist and slipped his paw between his legs for an awkward cuddle, finally letting himself drift off to sleep.
