Ripping off the blackened rebel shoulder pad that covered most of his right side, Zhakaev Darkrune threw the garment across his quarters colliding with the wall startling the sleepers in the other room.

Next came off his helmet, not bothering to take the appropriate steps in removing it safely the alien tore the helmet from its delicate circuitry around his neck, the helmet soon joined its matching shoulder near the wall.

Zhakaev took a deep breath to help slow down his anger but it didn't affect the alien, he kicked the bottom of the bunk bed finally awakening the sleeping To'vash above. Groggily the rebel commander peered from the side of his bed and looked down below at Zhakaev who was ripping away at his uniform as if he was going to die if he continued to wear it.

"Darkrune! What in Elder's name are you doing son?!" he questioned in anger as the younger alien continued to defile the rebel clothing.

Tearing off the blackened breastplate and throwing it away Zhakaev snarled at To'vash. "I can't deal with this! I am forced to believe that the god Lord Khaos is using my race as fodder and then I'm recruited into the human military! The very people that killed Liken!"

"Watch your tone, boy! I understand that you're ups-

Zhakaev flew into a rage. "Upset! I'm beyond ‘upset' you heretical terrorist! You properly forged that video, I have no idea what I was thinking when I joined your blasted House Elder! I can't go back to my home; my friends and family are dead thanks to you!

Zhakaev Darkrune grabbed To'vash by the arm and flung the officer over the side onto the metal floor, he began to rise only to be picked up by his assaulter were he was pinned to the back wall by his battle worn hands.

"I didn't make that video and you damn well know that! Nor did I kill Liken but I know who the hell did!" growled To'vash

Caught in his furious rage, Zhakaev didn't notice the three VALOR marines walk up behind him with their battery powered assault rifles raised. "What do you mean you know who did!" he growled, slamming To'vash up against the wall.

"Like what we rebels know, Lord Khaos needs sacrifices of blood to be brought back from the shattered realm, the place the previous dragon lord banished him to. Apothecary Lord Carpender was tasked in providing most of the sacrifices, and what do you think happened when Carpender discovered Sepress Prime? He doomed the race from the start! He used the humans to kill the Valgary race so he wouldn't have to do it himself!"

Trying to deny the fact that his closest friend, Liken, was never deemed to be by the Apothecary Lord himself, he slammed To'vash against the wall again. The marines slowly made their way to the angered half-Darkspawn.

"Carpender is a trusted Dread Lord of Khaos, To'vash! He wouldn't condemn a race of that size to death!"

To'vash shook his head. "Look at the facts Darkrune! You were on the front lines, didn't you see the obvious tactical error in every plan! Not to mention loading up the ENTIRE race onto a single transport and not have any strong defenses guarding it!? He wanted the Valgary race to die, Darkrune, for sacrifices, more genesis monstrosities or other twisted reasons. The humans were following their orders; it was Carpender who allowed this to happen, Darkrune. It was Carpender who killed Liken, Darkrune, not a marine, rebel or the Justicar but Carpender. Apothecary Lord Carpender J. Truth."

"You are good to go, sir!" yelled the marine near the Justicar to over come the noise barrier that was the rushing winds that raced past the open doors.

Arjun gave the marine thumbs up before vaulting himself off the speeding drop ship into a free fall of the city below. The whooshing of passing winds dominated the only thing the Justicar could hear, positioning his body like superman in the old cartoons his father had kept in the dirty attic.

Falling like a brick because of the four hundred pound armor, he accelerated into the ruined city as flashes of ammunition lit up the morning sky as UNSF VALOR Military traded firepower with the Forces of Khaos.

Smugly the Justicar laughed. "I love this part."

Slamming into the concrete road, a crater instantly formed around him, windows shattered, sidewalks cracked, buildings shifted haphazardly some even collapsing from the amount of damage the war taxed on them.

Having the armor take all the shock from the impact the Justicar dusted off his shoulder, he scanned the immediate area, waiting for his HUD to highlight any Khaos zealots in a bold red outline behind any walls or structures they may have been hiding in, but for once, there was none.

The Justicar looked around his half landing half crash site in more detail until his suit alerted him in its monotone voice. "Incoming transmission"

"Justicar, get a move on lad! We have a job here to do! Take our that cannon so your human brothers can push into the city!"

The Justicar recognized the voice and knew it belonged to Commander To'vash, he looked at the massive gun emplacement as it continued to light up the orange morning sky with it's long ranged warheads.

Arjun sighed and started to mimic To'vash's voice. "We have a job to do Justicar! Go do your suicidal mission with no backup while the VALOR fire teams and I wait for you to kill all the bad guys, and then come in at the last second to secure the area! "

".... I can still here you human..."

Arjun turned his communicator off.

[Planet; Chru'ach, year 3,586, Tuesday May 26th, 6:45 AM. Necromantic Labs, Cafeteria]

Waiting in line behind a Darkspawn that was armored in a sickly green looking environment suit, Liken tapped her fingers along the gold metal railing in boredom hoping the line would pick up but instead she waited by the Darkspawn and in front of a Ghiest who was standing on it's back legs trying to look over the Valgary's shoulder to see when the line was moving.

The green armored Darkspawn turned his head around as best as he could and looked at Liken. "Seems to look like one of the Genesis Lashers found its way into meat processor...if I were you I wouldn't be getting the chef surprise any time soon."

Liken laughed as the green alien stood as high as he could. "If this line would ever damn move!" he yelled.

Turning around fully the Darkspawn let out his hand. "Names, Moloch. Yours?"

Liken was shocked at finding out who the alien behind the armor was. "Moloch!" The Valgary said cheerfully

Rubbing his goggles to wipe away the excesses crust and grime to now see the figure in full detail. "By the four avatars! Liken! Your alive!"

Moloch removed his mask to reveal his eight dark blue eyes and rows of teeth along his gaping mouth that covered most of his face. He was stunned that Liken of all Valgaries survived the explosion, swallowing his emotions he continued.

"It was recorded that every last one of you had perished, how did you make it!?"

Smiling, Liken answered. "Carpender found me at the crash site and well, here I am"

Moloch nodded in agreement. "After the defeat on Sepress Prime, several Legions were transferred to Chru'ach along with hand maiden Nalfiria, Baphomet's second in command. Guess it's a small galaxy."

Moloch looked around Liken's position and then focused at the Valgary herself. "Where's Zhakaev?"

Feeling as if some one had punched her in the chest, Liken looked down at the ground not wanting to say for herself that Zhakaev was truly dead. Moloch rubbed his eyes in disbelief at the possibility that his old friend was dead. "He can't be dead, not big ‘Z' he's to tough to be killed!"

Moloch didn't continue on Zhakaev's prowess as he saw Liken was even more hurt than if he hadn't said anything. "I'm sorry Liken, how did he g-

Liken quickly blurted out the word as if she was thinking about it ever since Zhakaev had died. "Justicar."

The word sent a chill down Moloch's spine, gulped and controlled the fear that swelled within. Without talking he placed his green armored hand onto Liken's shoulder, she looked up to see his smiling face. "Liken, I know you almost as good as Zhak himself, you want revenge."

She nodded and opened her mouth to talk when the ghiest behind her slammed into her legs trying to push the Valgary forward, she fumbled but Moloch caught her in time before falling over on her face. The Darkspawn was about to scold the ghiest when he saw several co-workers waiting behind the ghiest tapping their feet as if to say "Hurry the fuck up", Moloch didn't need to see their face to see they were angry, he turned around to see the line was empty.

"Oh." He said silently

[Planet Makgana IV, year 3,586, Tuesday May 26th, 6:02 AM. City of Kazak, contested war zone, Khaos Ground-Pounder War Cannon]

The lasher's scythe arm came within inches of decapitating Arjun Fiaz, turning his blade around in his hand, the sword cackled to life with energy. He parried the near lethal blow and severing the undead in half at frightening speed.

Gore splattered against Arjun's shinning silver armor but the disgusting encounter did not slow the power armor wearing human down, his sword was already half buried into his next victim's chest. The impaled lasher violently swiped at the Justicar to cause its own impalement, Arjun twisted his blade and shoved the advanced weapon further into the zombie's midsection, so focused on the lasher in front of him, the Justicar didn't see the third undead poise it's scythe arm to decapitate the young adult.

The lasher swung its arm in an arc in an attempt to sever the human's head from his shoulders; the attack hit its target, but not its intended one. At the last moment Arjun Fiaz ducked to have the lasher behind decapitate its own ally.

Taking quick action over the confused genesis creature, the Justicar turned around pierced the stunned lasher through its chest, in a final move the Justicar jumped straight up into the air carrying his blade with him splitting the undead into halves.

Landing on his feet Arjun Fiaz quickly looked around for any more attackers, but the bloodstained room remained silent beside the hum of plasma coils that fed energy to the main cannon positioned on the top level of the enormous weapon platform it stood on.

The Justicar attached his sword onto his back and looked for the service ladder he found when he entered the room before the undead intervened. Arjun quietly opened the door to the maintenance hatch and started climbing upwards to the cannon's command deck.

Luckily for the Justicar the service hatch was built so Darkspawn's could move up and down freely so the space was more than enough for the human, unfortunately the ladder was not built to support the four hundred pound, power armor wearing human.

The Justicar climbed as fast as he could to out run the snapping of the metal rods that gave away every time he took a step further up. One by one the rods broke down under his weight but he continued to press on until he reached the shaft door that lead to the command deck, the Justicar curled his hand into a fist and punched a small hole through the door before the last rod he stood on gave away.

The Justicar pushed the hatch open as his arm gave him the only support from failing back down the shaft he climbed up from. When there was significant room, the Justicar pulled his hand free from the hole he had created and stumbled into the command deck, rows of computers and terminals covered the walls that gave the war cannon life.

Arjun Fiaz dusted himself off as he stood up only to be greeted by a Genesis creature that towered over the human. The most notable device on the undead was the rows of cylinder shaped devices attached to its back filled with a dark green liquid, Arjun couldn't see it well but he knew something was inside each of the pods.

The monster had all of its skin removed showing off its dark red muscles, dark purple metal plates covered sections of its chest and completely armored its left leg and right arm. Its head was a grinning skull that was elongated from its neck by a large piece of bone that seemed to resemble its spine.

Arjun drew his sword. "What in god's name is this thing!" he questioned at the monster.

The Fleshless One, class, Genesis creature, charged towards the human at freighting speeds as its metal hand mutated from claw to buzz saw. The half machine, half undead monstrosity swung its spinning jagged disk at the Justicar's chest only to parried by the human's own weapon.

Metal sparks flew in all direction as the Fleshless One pushed harder against Arjun's sword. The Justicar held his blade with both hands just to cause enough force to stalemate the fight, the undead moved its head closer to the human's helmet to crush his skull with its mighty jaw.

The Justicar stood horrified as the undead placed its massive jaw around his head, he couldn't pull his sword free either or risk having the undead's crude weapon rip open his armor.

"Suit integrity at...80%" responded the suit's A.I to Arjun

He didn't need the armor to tell him that sooner or later the undead would crush his head, like a rotten banana, he could already feel the pressure building up on both sides of his head.

"Suit Integrity at... 65%"

The Justicar tried to calm himself down to think of a way to get out instead of panicking like any private would do, the Justicar thought as hard as he could. "Why didn't I read the instruction manual for this armor!" He pondered

"Suit Integrity at...42%" Other warning flares began to pop on Arjun's Head Up Display as well. "Warning, suit hull is below 50% integrity" was read in front of his view, Arjun grunted. "Stop warning me! I get it!"

"Warning system...disabled."

The Justicar had only one option left, he unlocked his sword from the buzz saw and swung his sword onto the undead's neck, but instead of decapitating the monster, it merely flinched.

The buzz saw weapon went straight for the human's heart but the Justicar grabbed just below the rotating blade, using the strength he could muster he moved the spinning saw towards the undead's own neck.

The saw worked better than Arjun had anticipated, the monster roared in pain as Arjun forced it to decapitate itself. Instead of dropping like a sack of hammers, the undead walked backwards and turned away from the Justicar.

The previously dormant cylinders exploded, sending glass shrapnel and the green substance across the room. Out of the most heavily concentrated areas of the liquid, it began coming together to make a three dimensional organism, when the shape fully took form they green liquid evaporated to reveal several Lashers and Ghiests.

The Ghiests out ran their slower brethren and attacked first, the lead undead jumped onto Arjun's chest where it opened its eye to reveal the tentacle used to infect people. The Justicar struggled and moved his head around so the undead couldn't get a clear shot of his forehead but soon the human over powered the undead and threw the four legged creature to the floor on its back, Arjun Fiaz kicked the Ghiest like a football with such force that the undead was sent into pieces from the impact.

Two lashers slowly shambled their way to the Justicar as he continued to kill off the unrelenting Ghiests, the two lashers nodded to each other and leaped towards the Justicar, Arjun swung his sword and split the left lasher in two as attackers jumped towards him, the Justicar side stepped out of the way of the last lasher, finally the Justicar impaled the undead in the chest, where he jumped straight up into the air still holding his blade separating the lasher into halves.

The Fleshless One grabbed its severed head and re-attached it back onto its neck only annoyed by the mortal blow, it turned its head to see the Justicar coming at it with his blade raised.

It tried to parry with its saw blade but Arjun cleaved off its metal arm and with the momentum of the swing still in him he cut a deep wound into the side of the undead horror. The Justicar did a back flip as he pulled the sword free and put himself into a combat ready stance in front of the Fleshless one.

The metallic zombie groaned at its severed arm and began making its way to it only to be stopped by the Justicar. He threw his blade like a boomerang at the undead's legs crippling them, the Fleshless One fell down onto its face where the Justicar quickly made his way to it.

Arjun Fiaz flipped the undead onto its back where the Justicar kneeled just over its chest, and began smashing his fists against the undead's skull, swing after swing chunks of bone began tearing away from the human's flurry of punches, Arjun's last attack tore off the undead's lower jaw before standing up.

The Justicar raised his boot just above the skull and then brought it down splattering the previous grinning head. Arjun Fiaz sat down and began to catch his breath. "There better not be more of those...things."

In a blink of an eye the windows that allowed the command crew to look out onto the battlefield bellow exploded, several rebel commandos climbed into the room with To'vash leading them. "Room sec- oh hello, human" waved To'vash to the Justicar
