Chapter One: Tell Him
#1 of A Break in the Forest
Scarlet is your average teen but she as a brother named Bruce and is not your average wolf. For One month the two and their mother live in a cabin in the middle of the woods. Eveything seems fine but Scarlet has fallen for someone and Bruce getts a meeting his past.
"Mom I'm not going to tell him." I said.
"You are going to him or I will." said My Mother.
"Look mom it's just a crust I don't really have to tell him." I said.
"The more reason to tell him." she said.
"Mom it wouldn't be a good idea if I told him." I said.
"Scarlet Water you will do what I say, I don't care if it's just a crush or not. I give you one week to tell him or I will." she said.
"Okay." I said. I knew that she would if I didn't.
"Honey here I will make it easier on you, I have some stuff I can do at work so you and him can a week to yourselves, but when I get there I want you have already told him, and if you don't then I will tell him." said Mother trying to make me fell a little better.
"Thank you." I said then I hugged her and she hugged me back.
"Now go get your brother so we can get going." she said before breaking the hug.
"Okay." I said and went to go get my big bro. I found him in his room taking a nap on his bed. I went to side of the bed and shuck him "Hey wake up Bruce it's time to leave." he got up and looked me in the eyes.
"Can you get out so I can put on some cloths." said Bruce. I was starting to blush I could fell it. Then I left the room and got my bags in the car and got in the back seat and waited for Bruce to get in the car. I waited for about five minutes before he came with his bags and put in the trunk and shut it then set in the back with me. Mom drove for couple of hours before we stopped a gas station for bathroom brakes and snacks. I went to get some jerky when I saw someone that I hated.
"Hey isn't that the wolf bitch you dated." I heard a friend of Hunter my ex-boyfriend. Hunter is a golden lion.
"Yeah that is I told you she would look for me." said Hunter. I tried to act like I didn't even notice them but before I knew it I was surrounded bye Hunter and two of his friends. I couldn't get out.
"Hey there did you miss me bitch." said Hunter getting close and then he felt my face with his hand. I just wanted to be anywhere else before he did something.
"Hey leave her alone." said Bruce my big brother sticking up for me I proud to have him for a brother.
"Bitch you better shut the fuck up and leave before I kick your ass." said Hunter then he looked up and saw my brother standing over him like he was about kill him.
"Sis why don't you go pay for that and go in the car, I be there shortly after I have a talk with these guys." said Bruce. I did what I was told and waited in the car. I herd some racket going in the gas station but nothing I could make out. I was looking in the store trying to find Bruce when Hunter went through the window and five feet. Then I saw Bruce leave the store without a scratch on him, he got in the back and we left. We drove for three more hours then I started to fell sleepy and ten minutes later I fell asleep. I woke up when Bruce said "Scarlet wake up." I found myself laying down with my head in Bruce's lap and with him looking down at me with a smile.
"Come on kids." said Mom trying to get us out of the car. Bruce is well built guy he always says I'm built for carrying heavy loads. He carried his and my bags in the house "Scarlet why did you make your brother carry your stuff." said my mom jokingly.
"Thanks mom for taking us up here for a month." said Bruce after putting down the bags in the living room.
"Bruce I need you to take care of your sister for a week, I have work I need to get done so I will be gone. But I will make up for the time I promise." said Mom to Bruce who understood very well.
"Okay mom I hope you have safe trip." I said.
"Here I leave you guys the car there's a airport half an hour away from here. Bruce can drive the way back." said Mom.
"Mom I like that idea but I don't want to leave Scarlet here bye herself and beside I could use the help remember I didn't get any sleep on the way here." said Bruce I have no idea why he didn't get any sleep.
"Okay you have a point lets go." said Mom and we got back in the car and drove of into the night. On the way back there was a weird silence between me and Bruce.
"Are okay?" asked Bruce.
"I'm fine." I said.
"That's not what I mean. Are you okay about seeing your ex." said Bruce.
"Yeah I fine I just wish that I didn't see him." I said I could fell my eyes start to tear up.
"You should have told me about what he did I would have set him straight." said Bruce.
"If I did then you would end up in prison." I said.
"What would they put me away for be a good brother." said Bruce trying to light the mood.
"Yeah. Why did you get any sleep I on the way here." I asked him.
"I didn't want you to fall into the floor." said Bruce then he smiled for a bit. "I'm sorry for bringing him up, I make it up for you."
"You don't have to." I said.
"Yes I do, I fell guilty for talking about it. I know tomorrow I will treat you like a princess, I will do anything you ask." said Bruce.
"Anything?" I asked him.
"When I say anything I mean anything you ask." said Bruce.
"Thanks big bro." I said before I leaned over and kissed him on the check. He looked at with his eyes a chuckle came from his throat. We rode in the rest of the ride to the cabin in silence. When we got there we were tiered I striped to my undergarments and put on a old shirt of Bruce's that he gave for Christmas last year. It looks like a small dress on me. I was sleeping when I herd thunder. I am a little afraid of it but it was loud and close so I got scared and went to Bruce's room. I picked the one with the best view of the lake while he picked the one with the best view of the forest. I woke him up and asked him if I could sleep in his bed with him tonight.
"Sure but stay on your side of the bed." he said.
"Why you used to let me sleep with my head on your chest, with me on top of you even when we were little?" I asked curiously while getting on the bed.
"You are different now." Bruce said quite fast.
"What do you mean different?" I asked him but he didn't respond but I could see him blush "Is it my breast?" I could see him look away "Bruce I'm your sister relax I'm one of those girls that leave your room in the middle of the night."
"That's not what you think it is." said Bruce.
"Try me." I said.
"It's a long story, I will explain it to you in the morning." said Bruce then turned his back towards me. I was about to go to sleep when thunder struck again but this time it was around ten feet away from the cabin. I crabbed over Bruce and bearded my head in my brother's chest. "Okay just this once, and only because it storming hard."
"Thanks Bruce your the best big brother a girl can have." I said getting closer to him.
"Your welcome Sis." said Bruce before going to sleep. I wish all men were like him; loyal, protective, honest, caring, and full of love. I waited to make sure he was asleep and then I gave him a little kiss on the lips.
"I wish you felt the same way for me." I said. Bruce unconsciously wrapped his arm around and rolled on his while putting my head on his chest and kissed my forehead then I went to sleep with smile on my face.
Who all saw that coming? I really wanted to surprise you guys. I hoped you liked it. If you see a mistake in my writings tell me I might missed it.
