River shook his fur, his body aching. He sneezed a few times, a few coughs to accompany it, and laid back. He looked out across the landscape, wondering how long it would be before anyone showed up. He hoped it was soon. He only hoped that when they came, they would help him, not hurt him further. He hoped, he hoped.

Earlier that morning, River had awoken to the familiar sounds that he had grown up with all his life. The sound of a train in the distance, the sound of cars honking in the crowded streets outside, and the sound of the others stirring in their own rooms. He grimaced as the neighbor next door began her morning ritual, a very loud session of pawing off her husbands morning wood, and hurried out of his room, stopping only to put on a pair of boxers over his teenage form to hide his bits from public view. Not that that level of decency mattered amongst many of the buildings tenets, seeing as how just the other morning the wolf down the hall could be seen getting a blowjob in the hallway from a rabbit cub that didn't know any better.

River sighed as he sat at the table, his mother finishing up the last of the eggs so that the two could eat. She placed a plate of meager portions to River, and one of even smaller amounts to herself. As she walked away to get something for the two to drink, River switched the plates and began to eat, knowing his mother would be too tired to notice the difference. The young otter looked at the clock on the wall over the door and finished the last bits of his food.

Standing, River gave his mother a small kiss on the cheek, told her he loved her, and walked into his room to change. He then walked into the living room, called out to his mother that he was leaving, and walked into the hallway, his bare paws leaving prints in the muck that covered the floor. The otter walked out of the building, not even being phased as he passed one an open door, not caring to stop when he saw that same rabbit girl being forced to take the members of three males, one in each hole, all while her father pawed off at the sight. That was the way it was in this building. Those who needed money got it, one way or another.

Outside was no better, the streets were lined with filth, drunks, and those who would shoot you for looking at them the wrong way. Just keeping his eyes down and tail wrapped around one leg, River walked on towards the bus stop, his blue jeans torn so many times now that they were more stitches than pants now, and his t-shirt stained multiple times over since the price for bleach in the laundry room had gone up.

The anthro otter reached the bus stop after an hour or so, and was just in time to find a seat. Those who could not would be made to walk the eight miles through the city, and those who tried were never expected to make it. Taking a seat in the back of the bus, River saw one of the furs responsible for making those who missed the bus miss everything else. The cocky young leopard growled seductively into the ear of a vixen. River just sighed, figuring she would just be another female that the leopard used.

When the bus arrived, River walked out of the bus, wondering how the day would go. He knew he had tests, as he did most day, but he also had free access to the pool for a few hours. Still, he knew that if he stayed late to swim, it would mean a walk home, alone. He shook the thought from his mind and walked up to the front of the building.

School days were always the same eventful uneventfulness. People would cuss, shove others out of their way, pick fights, draw knives, and get arrested. All day, River passed swiftly, gracefully from one class to another, using his natural grace as an otter and translating to grace on land, as opposed to water. Here is the city, there was not much water that would be considered good for swimming in, industries had seen to that by pouring their "harmless" wastes into the waters of the rivers outside the city, and the lake that was on the outskirts of town.

As has been said, the day was fairly uneventful, until around lunch. Walking through the crowded cafeteria, River held a simple tuna salad sandwich and a carton of milk in each of his webbed hands. Seeing as there was no place to sit in the overly crowded room, he turned and left, making his way along the empty halls of the building to the boiler room. Walking into the room, he waved at the janitor, an old wolf with a missing eye, and walked through the roof access doors.

River took a seat on the ledge of the school building, looking down at the pool below him. It was an outdoor pool, or at least this one was. The main pool was under the gym floor, the only nice thing about the school.

Taking a bite of his sandwich, River rested back. He looked up at the darkening sky over head, feeling a single drop of rain land on his nose. He wrinkled his nose and sat up.

Finishing his food, River prepared to go, but suddenly froze and dove behind an nearby air conditioner. Pressing up against it, River looked out as the access door swung open, and two furs hurried out of it. One was easily recognizable as the leopard punk, Ice. The other, a large, dumb brute of a hound named Stoner. River knew he was called Stoner cause of his thick head, as well as a more than noticeable drug problem.

Seeing another fur, the one who had run through the door first, run past, River pressed low to the ground, seeing a young fennec fox female running towards the edge. Stopping at the gravel, she whimpered and turned back. Ice walked over and grabbed her wrist. She cried out for help, but River was the only one who would hear her.

River gave a soft whimper as Ice struck the vixen, causing her to land hard on the ground, and be pinned under the weight of Ice, his pants having dropped before he got on top of her. With tears in eyes, River watched as Ice ripped away the vixen clothes, literally sending a gentle snowfall of blue denim and yellow polyester.

River watched as Stoner got on his knees, apparently having been promised something for his help, and, without stopping to think that they would see him, River turned and ran as fast as he could.

Ice shouted after him, and the sounds of heavy paw steps could be heard rushing after him. River was not fast on land, as evolution had built his kind for water travel, not gravel. Just a few feet from the door, something large and firm struck River in the back of the head, and the young otter flew through the air, slamming into the door and slumping in a heap at the bottom, effectively preventing anyone from coming through the door.

Ice laughed and turned back to the vixen, only to find she had slipped away down an old fire escape not more than a few yards away. Snarling in rage, Ice walked over to River, grabbing the otter by the throat, and lifting him into the air. Without giving River a chance to react, Ice sent a strong punch square to his face. The last thing the otter felt was a horrible pain, the a soothing warmth as he blacked out.

River woke up sometime later, his body sore, bloody, and drenched in water. River gasped as he became aware that he was floating in the pool, the one that had been three stories below him, the one that saved his life over an hour before after Stoner had thrown his limp and seemingly lifeless body from the roof. Struggling a bit as every movement doubled the pain he felt, River managed to make it over to the side of the pool, and then out of the water, and, painfully slow, to the gate that surrounded the pool.

River slowly made his way home, leaving his things in his locker for the night. School was not over, but no one stopped him from leaving. As he walked along the streets, he heard the familiar sound of a police car, and then the black and white blur of it speeding past him. It was followed seconds later by a fire engine, and then another, and finally an ambulance. River stood still as stone for a few minutes, trying to take it all in. His eyes turned upward to a sky blackened by smoke, and River knew where they were going. River ran.

River was panting hard as he stared up at his home, flames engulfing the brick walls, black smoke billowing from the shattered glass windows. River tried to rush through the door, but was stopped by the police officer who had sped past him. He sobbed, clawing at the air to get away, but a second officer grabbed him and placed him rather forcefully in the back of a squad car to keep him from running into the inferno.

The otter could only watch as firefighters tried their best to douse the flames, and were proving successful. Furs were being brought of the flaming structure, and River soon saw the only face he cared about. His mother was unconscious, unmoving, and laying on a blanket on the ground as paramedics checked her over. In desperation, River clawed at the side of the door, only to have it opened by the police officer who had been told all were out of the building.

River ran to his mother's side, kneeling as she breathed slowly, her fur burnt in a few placed, but overall it seemed she would survive. River sobbed and hugged her tightly, before he saw something tied in her hair rather poorly. It was a strip of cloth, the same kind that had made up the fennec vixen's shirt. River took the strip and stood, his mother bring loaded into an ambulance to be taken to a nearby hospital. Clutching it tightly, rage filled his eyes as he turned, leaving a message with the driver that he would be at the hospital soon. He walked off into the alley of a nearby building, his body shaking in rage.

River knew where he was meant to go, and knew what was to happen when he got there. He had a plan, and didn't bother to stop and think about what would happen if he failed. He simply could not fail. He stopped for a few seconds at the school to grab his swimsuit, and slipped it on under his jeans. Leaving the school, not stopping to speak to anyone around him, he turned and started towards the river on the outskirts of town, to the old bridge that spanned its width.

Stopping as he heard laughter not too far away, River looked through some brush down to the bridge. Near the bridge was an old supply shed, large enough for two cars, and was currently the residence of the followers of Ice, the snow leopard. River gave a small growl as he saw Ice, laughing and talking with his followers, no doubt about what he had just done. River slunk down low, keeping low to the ground as he walked on all fours, and followed along the edge of the River. Ice had taken away his home, and nearly cost his mother her life. No matter the consequences, Ice would pay, one way or another. River had the perfect punishment in mind, but that meant allowing Ice to do the one thing River knew he wanted to do more than anything else.

River stripped down to just his swimsuit, the long surfer trunks he had brought with him from a vacation a year ago that still fit fine. He took a deep breathe and walked out into the clearing, seeing all eyes turn to him.

Ice gave a small growl, then a wicked chuckle. When River was just an inch away, his tail swishing innocently behind him, Ice opened hi maw to speak, only to be silenced by a deep kiss from River, the otter pushing him back against a tree as he deepened the kiss.

River smiled inside his mind, knowing that everyone was in awe at what had just happened. Their leader was kissing, because he was kissing back, River, and to their own amazement, loving every second of it. Suddenly, however, River felt something tight around his throat, and he was pulled away forcefully. He was dragged to a stump nearby, and was forced to kneel in front of it, bending over it do that his rear was a little higher than the rest of him. The otter heard Ice say something about "marking his bitch" and River knew what that entailed. However, to the surprise of everyone, as if the sudden appearance of an apparently very aroused otter was not enough, River requested to be let go, so as to lay on his back.

Ice smirked and allowed it. He walked over, grabbing the side of River's swimsuit, pulling them down quickly and feeling a twinge of rage as he saw River's sack and sheathe, easily three inches longer than his own, and thicker as well, not to mention his sack was larger. Ice wasted no time in stripping off his pants, dropping to his knees as River moved his tail out of the way for him. However, right as he was about to enter the seemingly too willing otter, Ice stopped and pulled back.

River looked up, afraid he had been found, but found that not to be the case. Ice simply was not hard, and wanted River to suck him first to get him hard. River agreed within seconds, and reached out, beginning to fondle Ice's sack, seeing a bit of pink over the top of the small sheathe. Seeing his opening, River leaned forward, taking the feline's sack into his mouth. Looking up with as submissive of a look as possible, River suddenly growled savagely and bit down hard, ripping through flesh and pulling his head back, severing the cat's sack and nuts from the rest of his body, leaving the cat thoroughly neutered.

River coughed as Ice fell back, screaming in pain. Letting the stolen, rancid flesh fall from his mouth to the ground, River, turned and ran, using his tail to grab up his swimsuit as he ran, diving for the water.

Hitting the surface, River has his shorts back on before he surfaced, seeing a horrible sight. They members of the gang had tied Ice to the stump, all shouting about how they wanted to try out their new bitch. River shook his head and began to swim away, unaware he was being followed by two others who had given chase to him.

River was nearing the other end of the river, near an old rusty drain pipe that led out to a park on the far side of town. Swimming to the edge of the river, the young otter was preparing to step out of the water, but something sharp and long sank into his leg, drawing a lot of blood and pulling him back with a sharp jerk.

River was thrown through the air, being slammed against a rock nearby. He cried out and coughed hard, sending flecks of blood into the water, or was that from his leg. He turned back to see a beaver behind him, and a wolf at his side. The wolf had bitten him, but it was the very large beaver that had thrown him from the wolf. Before River could react, they both pounced him, pinning him to the ground.

River whimpered as his shorts were yanked away, his tail being forced into the air. Feeling, not one, but two hard members pressing against his virgin tail, River screamed in pain and begged for mercy as they began to slip into his hole, both males stretching him until he bled again, worse, from his tail hole. River could do nothing as the two males roughly fucked his tail hole, each marking him with their seed, marking him as their bitch. River did not move as they pulled out, his body numb with pain, and was just aware that they put his shorts back on him. Setting him into the water, River floated into the sewer drain, not bothering to fight the current.

River came to rest on the shore of a small lake, his body sore, numb, and his tail hole still leaking cum and blood. He shut his eyes, unable to stand and run. He thought he heard paw steps nearby, but he didn't care anymore. Not now. The pain made him beg for death, but it never came. He breathed out, feeling the stare of a fur standing over him. The next thing he felt was a weightlessness as his body was lifted, and a calming voice whispered into his ear.

River nodded after a few minutes, opening his eyes a little. He smiled and laid limp, being carried across the barren ground, being carried to a brighter tomorrow. He was going to a new home. The otter gave a small giggle as he was carried by the male away from the river, away to his new foster home.
