#2 of Staying the Night

Another re-upload and gift for Kokuhane I'm not even gonna bother with a description. Not really in he mood. Sorry

"Wowowow! Say what again!?"

"Joey and I are dating," the large parrot repeated while the wolf he was allegedly dating sat next to him, his hands covering his blushing face.

"Daf- Wha- No!" Raz, the equally large red dragon screamed indignated, jumping off his seat and slamming his hands on the table. "I cannot approve of this!"

"Sit down," Raz did as the parrot, Stan, told him. "I'm sure I'll regret asking, but why don't you 'approve' of us dating?"

Indeed, after a certain incident involving a coffee-stained shirt and a passionate night together, Stan and Joey had decided to start seriously dating. And here, about a month later, they were back in the very same diner where it had all started, breaking the news to Joey's cousin Caleb and their good friend Raz. Speaking of Raz...

"You can't have a serious relationship! Where does that leave me!?"

"I'm not gonna ask..." Stan nonchalantly replied.

"You and I had an established fuckbuddy relationship!" Raz started, pointing each word with a tap to the table. "You being in an actual relationship means I don't get burd sex anymore!"

"First, I can't believe your dialogue is actually spelled 'burd'. Now," Stan said, taking out a slip of paper from his shirt's pocket, "I've been saving this for this very moment. Here, take it"

"What is this?" Raz asked, taking the paper and inspecting the sequence of numbers scribbled in it.

"It's my dad's number"

"Eee!" Raz squealed. "You mean he-"

"Yeah"

"And we can-"

"Yeah"

"I'm so happy for you guys," Raz quickly said as he got his phone out. He then started heading to the door. "I just remembered I have tons of things to do, so see you tomorrow. Maybe the day after. Bye!"

"Your dad? Are you sure?" Joey, the silver wolf next to Stan asked as Raz left, finally taking his hands off his face.

"I honestly don't care as long as it keeps him quiet," the bird said, rubbing his temple.

"Well..." the purple-dyed husky that had been sitting next to Raz spoke up for the first time. "Now that we're done with that extravagant part of our afternoon, I must say I'm really happy for you guys!"

"No!" Joey screamed, standing up in pretty much the same manner Raz had done so before. "I'm not going to let you ruin this with your lewd ways! I'm going to stand up for myself!"

"Sit down," Stan sternly said, evidently starting to get stressed. Sensing this, Joey did as he was told, not wanting to bother his... They still weren't up for labels.

"Cousin!" Caleb started. "You don't have to worry about anything, I promise! Look... I know I tease you; and that I go beyond that sometimes, but this is different. You're in a real relationship now, and I respect that! You're off limits now, and I get it," with that said, he got up and hugged a surprised Joey. "I'm happy that you found your guy. And Stan, you reeled in a good one. Anyway, I gotta go now; work and stuff. Talk to you, lovebirds, later!"

"Eh..." Joey was almost completely speechless at how his cousin's reaction had been so off his predictions, and instead of the speech he had prepared he simply saw the purple husky leaving through the door. "Ok... Bye..." was all he could mutter.

"What a pointlessly stupid filler scene," Stan growled.

"I know you were worried about how Raz would react..."

"No I wasn't," Stan quickly denied. As he was looking away from Joey, he couldn't tell what kind of expression the wolf had, which is why he felt somewhat surprised when said wolf's hand slipped into his own, squeezing gently.

Turning back, Stan was hit face-first by that big, warm, goofy smile he had fallen in love with the past month; he would never admit it out loud, but that smile was his weakness. He squeezed back at Joey's hand and got up, not letting go.

"Come on. We have things to do today," he gently said to his wolf. Joey looked at him confused, but that only stirred Stan's interest. "It's a surprise," he whispered.

And with Joey enthralled by Stan's charm, the two left the diner rather close.

...

"That's the guy who didn't pay last time," said the young man behind the counter. "And he left without paying again..."

"This isn't exactly what I had in mind," Joey awkwardly smiled as he went through the many shirts in the store Stan had taken him to.

"What did you had in mind then?" the bird asked from behind the wolf, where he was looking for a good shirt himself.

"Eh... You know..."

"I know that under that thick layer of childish innocence and naïveté you're a true pervert," Stan said, smiling honestly for once; even if that honest smile looked like a cruel smirk of delight.

"You're really mean!" Joey pouted.

"I know," Stan said, turning around and pulling the unknowing wolf into a deep, rough kiss that threw him off guard and had him flinging his arms in panic. After a while Joey understood what was going on and started melting into the kiss, but just as fast as it had started it abruptly ended, Stan looking through shirts again.

"W-What was that...?" Joey asked, somewhat dazed by the shock.

"I felt like it. Here," the bird put a white dress shirt on the wolf's hands. "Try this one, ok?"

"Eh... Yeah..." Joey stuttered, making his way to the fitting room. Stan took his time to watch him go, admiring that round and firm ass that he had taken several times already.

As soon as that ass was out of his sight, he went back to the shirts. It was a nice opportunity for him to get a new one as well; maybe even a pair of pants. Stan wasn't the kind of character to care about those things, but indulging himself in the banality of it all from time to time didn't sound so-

"Stan," the bird heard his name being whispered. Turning around he saw Joey looking at him from the fitting room, his head peeking from the curtains. "Can you get me a bigger size?" the wolf asked.

"What do you mean? The one I picked was fine"

"Yeah, but-" Joey's complain was cut short as Stan pushed him back in, getting into the fitting room himself.

"It looks good on you," Stan said as he looked at the white shirt that tightly clung to the wolf's muscles, leaving little of his definition to imagination. So tight it was that Joey couldn't even close it completely, leaving the upper half open and a large piece of chest fluff out in the air.

"But..." Joey was blushing a deep cherry red, gesturing at the exposed chest. "Don't you think this is a bit revealing?"

"No"

"But-"

"I'm buying you this one," Stan said as in an ultimatum, a single feathered hand resting on the fluff, rubbing the wolf's chest.

"Okay," Joey let out with a goofy smile.

"Now, let's pay this and go to a bathroom on the mall or something"

"Wha-!?" Joey's eyes went blank as his hair stood up in fluster. A certain something in his pants reacted and his brain almost shut down due to the lack of blood.

"I'm joking. Mostly," Stan said with another smirk on his face. A part of him thought how out of character was for him to smile so often, but he alluded that as the wolf's goofiness rubbing off on him, for which he had no real complain. "Let's just go to my place; there may or may not be a surprise there"

"You're really mean," Joey pouted on his way out, only half serious.

Stan opened the door to his apartment, holding it for Joey to go in first. The wolf entered, bag in hand and mid-sentence.

"And he kept trying to shove it in, and I was yelling that it wouldn't fit in, but he just kept pushing!"

"So Caleb is a stubborn guy," Stan commented. "And what happened in the end?"

"...It fit in," Joey said reluctantly, getting a scowl from the bird. "You weren't there! There was no way his backpack could've fit on the trunk! I still don't know how he did it," he yelled in self-defense.

"Packing is easy, it's like Tetris. Didn't you ever play Tetris?"

"Some, but-" Joey would've kept going, but he had lost his breath at the sight in front of him. In the middle of Stan's living room, where his couch would normally be, was a small table beautifully set for two, with a pair of candles lighting the room. "What...?"

"I said there would be a surprise," Stan said from behind him.

"You said may-" Joey started, turning around, but found no one. Turning around again he saw Stan pouring two glasses of red wine, suddenly wearing a black dress shirt, loose enough so that he could button all of it, but tight enough for his trained frame to show. "When did you move? How did you change? What's going on?"

Stan just shrugged, "I'm just that good," he said, walking to the wolf and handing him his glass, taking the chance to give him a quick kiss.

Joey felt giddy for a second at the gesture... Before looking down to notice that he was wearing the same white shirt he had just bought, open chest and all. "H-How-?"

"Again, I'm that good," Stan sat on the table, gesturing for the wolf to do the same.

As he sat, Joey looked down at his plate; a perfectly cooked chicken with fresh vegetables looked back at him. A simple enough dish, but that was ok; Joey had never been a big fan of fancy things, something which Stan knew. He smiled at the thought and looked at the bird in front of him.

"Isn't this a form of cannibalism?" he joked. It was rather unusual of him to make that kind of sarcastic comment, but he had slowly noticed how being around Stan made a snarkier side of him show.

"Actually, some eagles eat smaller birds, I think," Stan replied before putting the first piece of meat in his mouth. "Besides, it's not the first bird I bite. Dead or alive," he swallowed and finished with a slight smirk.

"You've bitten your hot dad?" Joey chuckled, keeping his quips at the bird.

"Unlike you, I'm not an incest freak," Stan dryly replied.

"Hey!"

"You were asking for it"

"M-Maybe..." Joey reluctantly admitted. "Caleb's the one who forces himself on me"

"And why do you think my dad's hot? You've never met him," Stan asked.

"Well, Raz wanted his number for a reason," Joey started explaining while slowly eating his chicken. "And you must've gotten those good genes from somewhere"

Stan chuckled. The two of them remained silent for a few seconds...

"Be honest with me," the bird started, "Is Caleb really that forceful with you?"

Joey stopped eating for a second. He swallowed and shifted uncomfortably, looking away before replying. "N-Not really... Sometimes, yeah, but... Most of the times he would just ask gently or play with the idea a little, and I would say yes..." he looked up at Stan with a look of shame. "There where a few times where I asked him..."

"That's ok," Stan said reassuringly. "It's nothing to be ashamed of"

"He's my cousin!"

"So?" Joey was surprised at the bird's carelessness. "You're sexually open. That's attractive. I like it"

"That's a nice way of putting it," Joey smiled somewhat dryly, but a part of him was immensely happy. "What about you? You never talk much about your family"

Stan swallowed. "The topic has never really come up, but feel free to ask. Being on a relationship and stuff, we should be able to talk"

"Well..." Joey started nervously, eating some of his chicken before going on. "One thing I'm always been curious about... You know, I never asked because it would seem insensitive... Say, why don't you have wings?"

Stan stopped the last bite of chicken midair. For the first time ever, Joey looked at the large, stern bird having a wide-eyed expression, almost frozen in fear.

"Y-You don't have to answer..."

Stan swallowed again, except that there was no chicken this time. "It would seem dickish after what I just said, but... It was a rather dark time in my life, there were a lot of tears... I'll tell you... Someday, but-"

"I get it," Joey said, squeezing Stan's hand. "We don't have to talk about it"

"I want to. Later... It's a big deal and I want us to work"

"We're going to work!" Joey said cheerfully. "I just know it"

"Yeah..." Stan downed the last bite of chicken and immediately got up, glass in hand. "Since we're done with dinner, why don't you say we skip dessert and go to bed?"

"Why can't you think of something else?" Joey complained half-heartedly, blushing slightly.

"Don't get me wrong," Stan gently rubbed the wolf behind his ears. "I just wanna go to bed and have you sleep next to me"

Joey smiled at him. This gentle side was what had made him fall in love with Stan in the first time, and was probably what would keep them together. He got up, his hand still entwined with Stan's, and the two went into the bedroom, one more of the many times they would.
