Kenji has a dream in his sleep but he wonders if it's a dream or if he's communicating with a spirit of the deceased as the spirit appears to be a huge male gorilla...Kerchak.

It was nightfall and everyone was asleep. Kenji was sleeping in his bed in the tree house that Tarzan and Jane were living in and he seemed to be breathing in and out peacefully.

"Let the lord of heaven be with me." said Kenji in japanese.

Suddenly, Kenji felt something strange, he suddenly felt his whole body feeling nothing at all, no pain, no discomfort, no body temperature, nothing. He opened his eyes as they turned completely white, his eyes were completely white all over and he let out a breath of air that sounded like a gasp of air like he came out of the water.

It seemed like Kenji was having a dream as he saw himself in a strange part of the jungle, it looked so peaceful but he was seeing nothing at first. He had no idea where he was at.

"Hello?" said Kenji in english.

"Stay where you are, young one." came a deep male voice.

Kenji heard the voice but it sounded so familair that he looked around till he turned to see a large male gorilla in front of him, he jumped a bit, looking startled.

"I'm sorry to have startled, Kenji." said the male gorilla.

"Kerchak?" said Kenji looking surprised. "Where am I?"

"Your in the spirit world, well, just your mind, you are communicating with my spirit just like before." said Kerchak explaining it to him.

Kenji finally understood why it looked so peaceful in the place he saw himself standing in. Kerchak reached out and placed his huge hand on the young human's cheek, making Kenji blush.

"Kenji, I know your feeling doubt, would you like to tell me why?" asked Kerchak calmly.

"How do you know what I'm feeling?" asked Kenji curiously.

"In the spirit world, the deceased can tell what is going on in the world of the living as if we were there and still alive." explained Kerchak.

Kerchak still had a look of no emotion on his face but his eyes showed peace, he placed his huge hand on Kenji's chest, feeling his heart beating and Kenji blushed.

"Why do you doubt yourself?" asked Kerchak.

"I feel like I don't belong here in the jungle with Tarzan and everyone." said Kenji with a look of sadness. "What happened to me in the past is probably going to affect my future or how I am around others, when you've been through long term hardship like I have, it can sometimes affect someone's self-esteem, confidence, future, trust and how they interact with others."

Kenji was feeling like he was broken down like a kid whose been bullied so long that they feel low in spirits enough to feel like a basket case. Kerchak raised his hand to place it on Kenji's shoulder in an attempt to comfort him.

"I wanna be normal or feel normal, the others wouldn't understand." said Kenji grimly.

"You are normal, besides, Tarzan and the others will love you for who you are. Don't let your past discourage you." said Kerchak kindly.

"How is it you understand when I feel doubtful?" asked Kenji.

"Because I've been through similair events." said Kerchak warmly. "Believe me, I used to have a heart of stone. Me and Kala once had a child of our own, but a rogue leopard came and...we lost our baby forever, even when Tarzan was a baby and when he grew older, I didn't accept him because he was human, I had a hatred of humans, even when Tarzan slayed the rogue leopard that killed our baby, I almost accepted him but than poachers came, in the end, Tarzan proved to me he was one of us after he had defeated the poachers when he helped the rest of us. Before I died, I finally accepted Tarzan as my son, apologized to him for my behavior and let him become the new leader of our heard."

Kenji was listening to every word and he was convinced, he had to believe Kerchak since it explained how he ended up in the spirit world and how he appeared to be so loving and kind hearted.

"I can tell your telling me the truth but I just don't know how to make everyone understand. I just don't know what I should do because I don't want my past following me." said Kenji as he was starting to feel his doubt slightly disappearing.

"You need to help them understand you, there's no shame in asking for help, it doesn't make you any less of a man, or in my case, doesn't make me any less of a gorilla." said Kerchak offering advice.

"I can try but I'm going to have to do it on my terms." said Kenji as he was feeling his doubt disappearing.

Kerchak pulled Kenji in for a hug and he was rubbing his back slowly which felt good. Kenji hugged him back.

"What should I do if Tublat or someone evil as him shows up? I remember how I handled Tublat before when you warned me but I wonder what I should do, even if Tarzan may need assistance." said Kenji wondering.

"Do as you did before, use your brain to outwit him and if all else fails, use your power." answered Kerchak.

"I'll do what I can." said Kenji.

As they hugged, everything started to fade to black and Kenji felt someone or something poking his belly which tickled him, making him giggle and when he opened his eyes again, he found himself in the tree house but he was laying on the floor for some weird reason and he saw Tarzan, Jane and Kala. Kala was poking his belly.

"Okay, I'm up." yawned Kenji.

"Were you sleeping on the floor all night?" asked Jane curiously.

Kenji sat up and saw himself on the floor, it was morning, he had no idea how he got on the floor in the first place and he was next to the bed he slept in.

"I don't know how I got on the floor in the first place, I might've literally fallen out of bed but I didn't feel no hit to the floor." said Kenji confused.

"When I was young, I fell out of a tree once, but maybe you just fell out of bed." said Kala.

"I'm with Kala on this one." said Kenji in agreement. "Is there a bathroom around here?"

They knew that Kenji had to go take care of come business when he mentioned he had to use the bathroom and he had to use it now.

"Well, for one, don't go near the water and do it there." suggested Jane.

"Pick a tree, but make sure nothing or no one is living in it, near it or on it." suggested Tarzan.

"Okay, but I'm not going alone, I need someone to, you know, watch my back so nothing jumps out at me." said Kenji blushing a little embarrassed. "The last thing I need is something biting me somewhere that's sensitive."

"I'll volunteer to watch him till he's done taking care of his business." said Kala kindly.

Kenji got up on his feet and agreed with Kala, he felt comforted by her words and her kind nature. But Kenji made it clear with her that he didn't want her looking at anything when he goes to the bathroom, meaning he didn't want her stairing at his unmentionable areas. Kala than assured Kenji that she's seen worse but she respected that he doesn't want her looking at any of his unmentionable areas. This made Kenji feel better, both Kenji and Kala headed out and found a tree for Kenji to do his business on and Kala made sure he was safe while doing so. Kenji knew that last night, his chat with Kerchak's spirit meant he communicated with a spirit of the deceased and it was no dream but he knew that what Kerchak told him will help him one day, at least he hopes it will.
