Zarith's POV cont'd

All hell broke loose after that building blew up. I didn't know what else to do from there, so I ran back inside to see if my son was okay. I walked inside the room that the doctors were going to be operating in.

"Is everyone okay!?" I asked.

"Yes we're all fine, and the patients are also fine by the looks of it" Evgeni said.

"We need to get everyone out of here!" I shouted.

"Umm, it's kind of hard when they're both in deep sleep" Bruce interrupted.

"Well wake them up!" I demanded.

"They won't wake up for another hour or so" Evgeni told me.

"Fuck!!" I kicked one of the chairs in a rage.

"Both of you, pick them up and follow me, now!" I commanded.

The two doctors then quickly packed up all their equipment and Evgeni carried the American while Bruce carried my son. I took the bags that had all of the equipment inside of it since they were busy carrying my son and the American.

"Come on, hurry, hurry!" I demanded.

The doctors struggled to keep up with me as they had to carry my son and that big dragon.

"Just drag the bitch! He's too heavy to carry him around like that!" I said to the wolf.

Outside I could hear multiple gunshots and the occasional explosion. It was only a matter of time before they would come and take away my donor. The wolf then started dragging the dragon across the floor, and we were able to pick up the pace.

"Alright, when I say, we run like hell for that truck!" I stated.

I withdrew my pistol from its holster strapped to my side. After a few moments of judging the compound to find my window of opportunity, I knew that if I waited any longer we would not make it.

"Let's go!" I yelled.

We all then ran as fast as we possibly could towards the truck. I saw William taking cover behind it, and he was holding that damn otter by the neck, he must be obsessed with him for some strange reason.

"William! Get in the damn truck!" I hollered while charging towards him.

We all then piled up into the truck, with me in the driver's seat, Bruce and my son in the passenger's seat and Evgeni, William, my American donor and the otter in the back of the truck. I quickly fired up the engine and drove out of the compound as fast as I could. Just as we left my compound, a helicopter landed right in it and a group of Russian soldiers came pouring out of it. I stepped on the gas and drove faster.

"We just have to lose them!" I anxiously said.

"It's pretty hard when you only have one road to follow" Bruce stated.

"Shut up! We're going ot find a way to do this!" I said.

We continued to drive extremely fast down the rural road. Above I could hear the jets soaring over making an attempt to keep tabs on us. I kept drive extremely fast.

"I'm scared!" Cried the otter.

"Shut up!" William slapped the otter across the face.

The otter then broke out in tears and cried out in fear. Aside from the crying and sobbing otter, I could still hear the jets roaring above. I was able to make out the Russian MiG-29 flying overhead of us, there were two of 'em. Continuing down the road, I slammed on the brakes as I saw an opportunity. A small road that branched off from this one, and it was well concealed and hidden beneath the trees, which would make tracking it harder from above.

"This might be a dead-end" Bruce pointed out.

"Yeah well if we can mislead them, then we can get back on the main road and leave this place before they even know we drove down that same road again" I elaborated.

We pulled into the concealed road and drove down it for a few minutes. I could still hear the jets soaring above, but they weren't as frequent, which told me that they were having trouble finding us. I stopped the truck under a thick tree, with hopes that they would think we were still driving and continue searching farther down.

"Don't say a word, I want to still hear them" I ordered.

After a few minutes of silence, I did a three-point turn and headed back onto the main rural road. I then stepped on the gas and drove as fast as I could, praying that the jets would not find us.

Vikor's POV

"Sir, you cannot leave the hospital! Your doctor told you that you need to recover!" A nurse tried telling me as I got dressed into my civilian clothing and pushed her aside as I hurried out of the room.

"I'm not going to sit here and watch as the world becomes engulfed in terror!" I stated.

I hurried my way through the halls of the hospital and then proceeded downstairs into the main waiting room. I continued to brisk towards the door and make my exit swift. After leaving the building I ran towards the street.

"Taxi!" I called out.

A taxi cab then pulled up in front of me and I got in, "the Kremlin, and fast!" I ordered.

The taxi driver didn't hesitate to start driving towards the Kremlin. He went fast, maybe a bit too fast for my liking, but as long as we got there without getting pulled over, then I was happy to my heart's content. After a few moments of driving though the city, the cab pulled up right in front of the Kremlin.

"That'll be thirty rubles, sir!" The cab driver told me.

I gave him fifty, "here, keep the change!"

"Why, thank-you!" He said.

I closed the door of the cab behind me and swiftly made my way into the Kremlin. After bypassing a few security door and access gates, I finally made my way into the situation room.

"Viktor! I didn't expect you to be here so early!" Javier spoke.

"Sir, I can't sit in a hospital bed any longer" I told him.

"Well, I've already sent out the Spetsnaz to take care of some of those Cevenda terrorists" He explained.

"Can I see what's going on?" I asked.

"Well, we weren't all that successful in retrieving Max Woodland, but we did free about ten slaves and killed a few of their boys along the way" he continued.

"Can I see the footage?" I asked.

"We have satellite imagery here," Javier then pulled up a classified file that had the footage taken from a Russian spy satellite that was flying over the area.

I could see the fighting and destruction going on in the compound, I could also see that some of the slaves were used as living shields, and were torn apart when bullets ripped through their bodies. The bullets that we fired were not fired from your average military combat rifle, but from 30mm cannon rounds hooked up to our MiGs. The bullets tore their bodies apart as they ripped right through them, and it was a nasty sight.

"This is the part where they get away" Javier explained.

I could see Zarith running towards a vehicle with bags in his hand, and following him, were two other furs, one of them was carrying Max, and the other one was carrying an unidentified subject.

"Wait, those two furs carrying the bodies, they look familiar..." I examined.

It's because they were familiar, the two furs that carried Max and the unknown dragon were the same doctors that treated me earlier, Dr. Dicodravvo and Dr. Visvavik. They were undercover. I then explained what I knew to Javier and he took good note it.

"Look into it please Corporal" Javier ordered a young fox who was sitting behind a computer screen.

"Yes sir," the fox replied, and quickly got to work.

"We still have yet to find them, we have even tightened security along our borders" Javier explained.

"Well, we need to stop them from doing any more damage! Is there anything I can do?" I asked.

"Yes actually, if you think you are ready, then I'll place you in charge of a whole army to take these guys down" he said.

"I am more than happy to be back! So... Where do we begin?" I asked.

Max's POV

I woke up feeling sore crappy. I looked around to see where I was, and saw that I was in the back of a rusted pick-up truck. The truck was not in motion, but my thoughts were, and I was curious about my whereabouts. I slowly got up and looked around, I could see that both doctors, Zarith, William, Steven and Zarith's son were outside of the truck doing something.

"Come on! There has to be way to fix it!" Zarith roared.

"It's probably an oil leak" the griffon inquired.

"Well, we need to find a way to get moving soon!" Zarith replied.

I slowly and quietly sneaked my way out of the truck, but as I tried to carefully make my way off it, the truck was so rusted that it made a little squeaking sound.

"Hey! Get back here you!" Zarith bolted towards me, and so I instantly fled from the truck.

I ran as fast as I could through the thick forest, but it slowed me down quite a bit. I somehow managed to trip over a large tree root, and struggles to get myself up. However, just as I managed to get back up on my feet, Zarith grabbed me by my ankle and I fell over again.

"Think you can escape from me!? Huh!?" Zarith yelled as he pinned me to the ground.

"Ahh!" I grunted in pain.

"Let's go!" Zarith tied my hands behind my back.

He threw me into the back of his truck. "Watch him!" Zarith ordered William.

"Yes sir" William replied.

I was still naked, and because of it, I got a little cold. Steven noticed that I was a bit chilly, and he cuddled up with me for warmth.

"Thanks buddy" I said.

Steven just smiled at me in return, and he laid his head on my shoulder and fell asleep.

"Fixed!" Zarith happily stated.

The two doctors and Zarith then got in the truck, and we started to move down the road. I fell asleep for the next few hours, and was then awakened by loud gunshot noises.

I could see William firing his rifle at Russian military trucks behind us, but they we're careful not to fire back, I guess they knew I was there. Steven was also awake, but he was shaken and scared. I could see the tears on the poor otter's face, and I knew that I could no longer sit here and wait for our fate.

I kicked William in the face with both of my feet, and then wrapped my legs around his torso and squeezed hard. He tried resisting, and I kept kicking him until he was badly hurt and bruised. I then held him in a headlock with my legs, and told Steven to get his knife and cut me free.

"I-I don't k-know if I c-can" he stuttered.

"Come on, please this is your chance!" I yelled.

Steven then took the knife from William an cut me loose. I then punched William multiple times and knocked his rifle out of his hands.

As the two of us were fighting, the Russian military vehicle behind us exploded, and an Apache that flew above was firing upon the Russian vehicles.

"I want this to stop, please!" Steven cried.

William then made a comeback and punched me hard across the muzzle, which made me fall off the truck. I rolled around in the dirt until I came to a hard halt. A Russian vehicle then pulled up beside me, and out came Viktor.

"Come on, lets go!" Viktor hollered as he pulled me into the vehicle. "We need to get you out of here!... And we also need to get you some clothes!"

A soldier gave me a towel to cover myself with; finally I can have some privacy within my own body.

"I'll get you fitted for something to wear as soon as we get back to our campsite. But for now, we need to get the hell out of here!" Viktor said.

"What about Zarith!? We were so close!" I asked.

"Our men are chasing them as we speak" Viktor replied. "The general said that he would give me an entire army, but it seems as if he just have me a small regiment to work with."

"I just hope it's enough" I said.

"Well, the Russian government thinks that we can take them down quite easily, and so they're not a primary threat" he replied.

"I'm sure if we tried our best, then we can take them down" I inquired.

"They are on the brink of being destroyed right now" he said.

Suddenly, a missile came from out of nowhere and shot down the enemy Apache. Our vehicle then sped up to try to avoid any collision with the falling aircraft.

"We'll be about seven minutes before we reach our campsite. It's just a temporary one, so we won't stay long. I'll get you some clothes as well" Viktor said.

After a few minutes of driving fast like hell, we approached the military campsite, which was a decent size filled with lots of tents and vehicles. There were wooden tables laid out with maps, GPSs, radios and weapons on them. In the center of the campsite, I saw the Russian flag, waving high in the air, like it was proud to be there.

"Come here, I'll show you where we need to go" Viktor said.

I started to feel a bit self-concious about myself when walking through the compound with nothing but a towel covering my private area. We then entered one of the tents, this tent was a bit larger and longer than the others.

"Okay, I'll have to measure you" Viktor said "hold still."

Viktor then measured different parts of my body to see what would fit the best. After gathering all the data, he came out with a Russian military uniform.

"This is all we have that'll fit you, I hope it's good enough" he smiled.

"It's better than going around naked" I giggled.

He also gave me some socks and underwear to put on. I went to a hidden part of the tent, and got dressed in that interesting Russian camo military uniform. There was no rank or nametag on the uniform, but it did have the Russian flag on my left shoulder, which read '??????' under it.

"Damn, you look sharp!" Viktor said.

"I'd like to think I look better in the US Navy working uniform" I replied. "But this'll do."

Just then a soldier came running up to Viktor. "Sir! Come quickly! It's urgent!"

"What is it Captain?" Viktor wondered.

"We've found the target! Come quickly!" The Russian Captain spoke.

I hurriedly followed the two of them outside to one of the wooden tables that were laid out across the camp. This one was special in particular, it had a laptop it. On the screen was live aerial footage of the truck that Zarith drove.

"We need you to give the firing order if we are taking him down from the air" the Captain said.

I was tempted to agree with him, Zarith and William both deserve to be punished for what they have done... But Steven! After Steven gets harassed, whipped, beaten and assaulted by William, now he has to die by the hands of the Russians. He has to be collateral damage for the death of Zarith, William and those two doctors. But at the same time I didn't want to watch Zarith and William get away for what they have done! Yet Steven shouldn't have to die because of it either! I was shaking, tempted to beg to Viktor and ask him if there was another way... But from where we stood, there wasn't.

"When can we take them out?" Viktor asked.

"Right now," the Captain replied. "All systems are ready, we're just waiting for your word sir."

Viktor then let out a stressful sigh, "Fire!"
