Tails Wish Chapter 5: The Spirit Of The Stone
Well, here's my next chapter of TW and boy was this a fun one.
Sonic and Tails dropped off their friends and arrived at Tails house.
Tails-*Yawn* Man, what a day.
Sonic-Yeah, treasure hunting is fun, but I had to move so slowly. *shudder*
Tails-Hehehe, sorry Sonic I know you like to move fast.
Sonic-Yeah, but boy was it worth it.
Tails-Yep, now Cosmo can come back. I'm so happy I could just scream!
Sonic-Hahaha, yeah I feel the same way. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow I've gotta run around the planet a couple of times.
Tails-Hehehe, okay I'll see you tomorrow.
Sonic-Later!
So with that Sonic took off like a shot and left Tails alone with his thoughts.
Tails-Well, I guess it's time I hit the hay.
Tails was on his way to his room when he stopped in his lab and stood in front of Cosmo's plant. He stared at it with tears of joy in his eyes.
Tails-Well, Cosmo, you only have to wait just a little bit longer. Now that I've...no we've got the stone you can finally come back to us.
He wiped the tears from his eyes.
Tails-Good-night Cosmo.
With that he went to his room, got into bed and went to sleep. He decided to sleep with the stone to make sure it was safe and even though it was cold, it made him feel warm. Because this little stone was the key to making his one wish a reality. Then a little later Tails woke up to find himself in a grassy plain.
Tails-What the, where am I? Wait...am I dreaming?
???-You are.
Tails looked around for the source of the voice, and saw a strange girl, standing right behind him.
Tails-Who are you?
???-*Giggle* I guess you could say, I'm the wishing stones spirit.
Tails eyes nearly popped out of his head after hearing this.
Tails-Y-you're what!?
???-Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you.
Tails-No, y-you're fine. I should be the one apologizing; I didn't mean to get so excited, sorry.
???-No apology necessary, I guess I should explain why I'm in your dream.
Tails-Y-yeah, okay.
???-Like I said, I'm the spirit of the wishing stone and am here to help make your wish come true.
Tails-Really!?
???-Yep, but sadly I can't grant it just yet.
Tails-Why not, is. Is it because my wish isn't pure enough?
???-No your wish is more than pure enough, but a wish to bring a person back from the dead takes more than one person to grant.
Tails-What do you mean?
???-I mean, you and your friends have to all wish for her to come back.
Tails-Oh, now I see...By the way, why...why'd you reveal to me. I mean, not that I'm ungrateful or anything, but Arron's wish was to save his people...mine hardly pales in comparison.
The girl put her arm on Tails shoulder.
???-It's because of that heart of yours. You see, a wish can be a very dangerous thing and can cause destruction...However; a wish can also be used to help and save others. Over the many years that passed, I've kept the stone hidden from all who seek it. Because I was able to see the greed in their hearts, but then you and your friends came to the village. I didn't know why, but there was something different about you all, and so I decided to look what lied in each of your hearts, and saw what you each did to save the ones you loved.
Tails-You mean, you saw...
???-Yes, I saw what Cosmo did. You each made such a huge sacrifice.
Tails couldn't help but burst into tears, as he thought about that horrible day.
Tails-I didn't want to do it, but we had no choice...If we didn't do anything, then the Metarex would have killed everyone...
???-It's that selflessness that made me decide to reveal myself to you. Tails, you gave up the one you loved and honored her last wish to save the galaxy. To me, that's the kind of person who will make the right wish.
Tails-Thanks, by the way...I don't think I got your name.
???-*giggle*Oops, I guess I forgot to mention it. My name is, Alura.
Tails-Alura huh, that's a really pretty name.
Alura-Thanks, I've always liked it. Anyway, it's almost morning and you'll be waking up soon.
Tails-Thanks Alura for everything, and I promise your trust will not be put in vain.
Alura-I know it won't, farewell.
With that Tails opened his eyes and found himself back in his bed. He picked up the stone and stared at it.
Tails-Don't worry Alura, I promise I won't go back on my word.
