Chapter 1

IT BEGINS

(As Kari walked in the classroom with Erin, they noticed that only a few students were there...but no teacher.)

Erin: Thanks...I can handle it from here...

Kari: Ok...but do you find it a bit strange?

Erin: About what?

Kari: We've walked through several classrooms...they're all open but we haven't seen any teachers.

(Erin then thought about it and then looked back at Kari.)

Erin: It is weird...

(One of the students' then walks up to the duo.)

Student: So...you haven't seen any teachers either?

Erin: no...have any of you?

(The three students then shake their heads.)

Kari: ......I don't like this...

Erin: .........Think we should look around?

Kari: I don't know...something isn't right here...

Meanwhile

(Dalton and Sam were walking down the hall with two others, Nick and Ethan. They then walk into another classroom.)

Dalton: Damn...this room's empty too.

Sam: Where the hell is everyone?

Nick: ...You think this place is abandoned?

Ethan: I don't know...it could have been and we didn't get the message.

Dalton: We should find the others...who else did you say was here?

Ethan: Well, I saw Josh, Shelby, Connor, and Kaine. They should be somewhere here in the school.

Nick: I saw Justin, Camille, and Blake.

Dalton: Ok...you two search for them while we go find our friends...something doesn't seem right and I think it involves Sheridan.

Ethan: I thought he was arrested?

Sam: yeah, but it's Sheridan. He can be un-expecting a lot. And the fact that he's completely insane!

Dalton: Insane is a way to put it.

(The four then split up and began their searches.)

Nick: You don't suppose Sheridan actually escaped and is going to kill everyone?

Ethan: ...Why are you asking me? We both don't know him well enough...not even his closes friends know that much about him anymore.

Nick: ......but if he is...why would he kill us? What did we do to him?

Ethan: Well think about it. He's gone completely insane and killed a few people already and put several in the hospital.

Nick: ...Point taken.

Later

(After finding their friends, they all agreed to meet up in the library to discuss matters of the apparent situation.)

Kaine: It doesn't make sense...why are we the only ones here?

Josh: ......

Camille: I can't believe Sheridan was like that......but the Banks had it coming...so I guess it's not a total loss.

Dalton: I know those two idiots could have driven him too far, but still. He killed them and a few others.

Vanessa: What doesn't make sense is that why are we here?

.........

(They each thought over it until Josh spoke out.)

Josh: You don't suppose that we are his next targets?

Erin: ...That's not right......what have we done to him?

Vanessa: I don't know...but Dalton, he was unconscious when he was arrested, wasn't he?

Dalton: Yeah, he got tazzed by the cop and was handcuffed. If he got out of those...who knows where he is?

Sam: Well, even if Sheridan did escape...let's act like he didn't right now...let's look at reasons why he would kill us.

Josh: ...I can think of a few reasons for me...but they're the usual someone else would do to piss someone else off.

Vanessa: I can't think of anything that he would be mad at me...but he probably would kill for show.

Dalton: I know he would aim for me, since I've pissed him off a couple times.

Sam: Same here. He's been mad at me several times before.

Kari: But what about Erin?

Erin: Yeah, he said he cared for me...and he would protect me no matter what.

Josh: Maybe you getting pregnant earlier probably put a spark in him.

Erin: ............

Justin: Well, I know he could possibly hate me. I've seen a mean glare in his eyes before.

Kari: (Gee, I wonder why...)

Blake: Well, what about me, like Kaine, I don't even know him.

Connor: I barely even talk with him, but I know he's gone insane...I just don't know what he'd be mad at me for.

(Kari then pulls out her Chrome Book again and opened up the email and passed it around.)

Kari: I got this email about an hour ago...I find this suspicious.

(Each person then reads the email...until Josh flinches a bit.)

Vanessa: What is it Josh?

Josh: Kari, did you read this email right?

Kari: ...Yes, I read what it said.

Connor ............I don't think you did...

Sam: Well, what did she miss?

Josh: "Shredding Hell Eternally, Remorse, Internally Dreaded Anguished Nightmare."

Ethan: Shredding Hell......Oh crap!

Vanessa: Kari, how could you not realize!? Each first letter is capitalized...Sheridan!

Kari: ......

(A voice then echoes throughout the room. Everyone recognized this voice.)

Hahaha!!! Well it seems you managed to decode my message.

Josh: Sheridan!

Justin: Where the hell are you!?

Dalton: Show your fucking face you asshole!

HA!!! Still upset I almost killed you? Well I don't give two fucks!

Sam: Why are you doing this!?

Why? WHY!? You humans are all alike...you fail to see why! Humanity is sickening! You all are selfish in your own ways!

Kari: Sheridan! You can't be serious of killing us all!?

Nick: I thought we were friends!?

.......Friends...What friends!? I have no friends! If there is one thing this world lacks, that is trust. With no trust, how can I believe you are my friends? No trust and things will fall apart like that! Nothing is right anymore! IT'S JUST COMPLETE CHAOS!!!

Kaine: ......Not everything is what you think!

Connor: Sheridan! Don't you see what you're doing!?

BAH! I know what I'm doing! You guys are just the first to begin with...week after week I will bring in more...and slaughter them one by one...

Dalton: That's it! I'm gonna find your sorry ass and kill you myself!

Justin: I'm with you on that!

Josh: Wait! He could have already trapped the place!

My, my, aren't you one to place suspicion on that. Well you're wrong. The place isn't completely trapped...but as you all managed to find each other. I had placed triggers on each and every possible exit. Try to escape and you will die trying. Let it be me, or the deadly traps I've made for you...or my assailant Shadow.

Kari: Shadow?

Erin: Who's that?

One who will patrol the area outside. Even if you manage to get pass the trap without dying. Shadow will be a last resort as I can see where you are.

Sam: He's in the office!

Dalton: Let's go after him!

Don't bother. I've made some changes and the office is quite hard to break into. And if you were to get in...you wouldn't find me in time till I kill you.

Josh: So, what!? Are you going to let us starve to death as well!?

BAH! What do you take me for? I may be an insane psychopath now, but doesn't mean I'm heartless. Shadow and I will provide you with food and water. Enjoy your supplies while you can. You are dancing with death now and each day I will kill one of you. Your time limit is six days tops.

(Sheridan then shuts off the speaker. His evil laugh still echoes in Erin's mind. They all were shocked to see what has become of him.)

Sam: Dammit Sheridan...why did you have to go this way!?

Camille: He said he's been feeding off of emotions...can someone really do that?

Vanessa: no, he never makes sense.

Kari: He's always said for the past couple of years that he wasn't human...I think he's right about that now.

Erin: I can't believe he's turning against us...why?

Camille: ......He said he's been feeding off of too much negative emotion.

Ethan: What do you mean by negative?

Nick: We need examples.

Camille: He said anger is the biggest one.

Kaine: So he feeds off of anger?

Camille: Not just anger, he also said misery, hatred, treachery, despair, suffering, anguish, and fear.

Sam: So how are we going to kill off these emotions and find a way to escape...because going after him would be suicide now...he knows all of our moves now...

Josh: I'd be careful on what you say...remember...he can hear us.

Kari: Right...we'll have to form a plan later......

(Kari then looks around, soon everyone else began to follow her gaze and realized what's wrong.)

Sam: Dammit Dalton!

Josh: Justin's gone too!

Nick: Should we go after them?

Erin: I don't think that's a good idea...Sheridan could come out at any moment...we should be safe here.

Vanessa: Well...even Sheridan will get tired...and so will Shadow...unless Shadow asleep right now and is preparing for the night end.

Ethan: All and all...we should really talk about this when Sheridan's out of the office...then we should think of something.

Blake: Right, but what about Justin and Dalton?

Connor: Let them get killed. If they want to go out like that then why bother with them. They'll at least bruise Sheridan up a bit.

Josh: Let's just keep an eye out for Sheridan or Shadow...who knows where' they show up?

(They all then gather around a safe area in the library while a few took watch at each door.)

Meanwhile

(Justin and Dalton were both walking around in the halls looking for any signs of Sheridan. Both of them were furious.)

Justin: That little pussy shit thinks he's going to kill us all? Hah, like he would even get near any of us!

Dalton: Dude, he almost killed me the other day. You got to take this seriously!

Justin: Yeah, I don't think so. He thinks he's got what it takes...well we'll prove him wrong. And whoever this Shadow guy is, I'm sure he's easy to take out.

Dalton: ......Hey look!

(Dalton and Justin then hide behind a wall to spy on Sheridan coming out of the office. From what they can see on him was a large knife in his hands and his bloodstained clothes. Rope was wrapped around his shoulder, possibly to tie up his next victim so he can torture them while killing them slowly. The duo then heard what he was saying.)

Sheridan: Time to pluck the catch, one by one...each will die a horrible demise...I am going to enjoy this!

Justin: That's it...

(Justin then jumps out and attacks Sheridan. Sheridan acted fast enough to hold his knife in a position to force Justin to cut himself as he swung out to punch Sheridan. Sheridan then jumps quickly and stabs Justin in his shoulder and swiftly slammed his elbow into his spine to paralyze him.)

Sheridan: Poor, poor Justin...act too soon to die did you?

Justin: Errgh...you son of a bitch...

Sheridan: talks cheap......guess I don't need rope right now.

(Sheridan then pulls out a blood soaked cloth and wraps it around Justin's mouth. He then draws an x with his knife in the air and forcefully jabs it in Justin's back. Justin's screams were muffled in the cloth, but were dying down with each stab. Sheridan stabbed his back several time and blood came flying up each time he withdrew his knife from Justin. Sheridan then opens up Justin's back and rips his flesh right out of his body. Blood rushed out on the floor and he threw Justin's insides around the area and splattered blood everywhere. He even wrapped his intestines around Justin's now dead body and laughed maniacally. He then licks some blood off his knife and looks towards where Dalton was hiding.)

Sheridan: One down...several more fresh prey to catch.

Dalton: (Oh fuck...)

(Dalton then turns tail and ran. Sheridan stood there with a wicked grin on his face.)

Sheridan: Run while you can...your time is running out.
