#3 of The Mute

Hey! Here's more of Kyle and Morgan. It may not be as many lines, but I tried.

As, always, feedback is very much appreciated!

Now, I'm going to skip to three years after I visited Kyle's house. By now Kyle and I had become inseparable, I loved it. He was just so nice to me, he knew exactly what I liked and wanted, if someone asked me a question, there would be a very good chance that Kyle could answer for me. So when Kyle was around I rarely had to use the notepad.

Now I can almost just hear you screaming "Morgan! Please do tell me what happened during those three years!" Well the answer is 'Not much,' I pretty much just went on living out my tweenage *cringe* years and spending many hours with Kyle. He came over to my house whenever he could and vice-versa.

I also began to express myself online, writing short stories and spending hours on social networks. I loved it because it made it easier to maintain friendships and carry conversations with Kyle. I also developed an addiction to music. I would listen to it whenever I could and was constantly searching for new artists to share with Kyle, I don't know how he put up with me.

All in all, those three years we're pretty great.

But then I fell hard in love with Kyle.

It all happened in five days, on Monday, we were best friends, and by Friday, I new I wanted spmuch more. I already knew I was gay, and I had for a few months, I'm not sure how, I just knew I liked guys. So, the person who I already shared a lot of my life with seemed like a great candidate.

On Monday, we went to a beautiful swimming hole in a small, rocky river. The leaves were turning all shades of red and yellow, but most of them were green, leaving a beautiful gradient on the trees. My eyes wandered between the trees for a bit, eventually landing on Kyle. It was just me and him alone at a beautiful river, so I couldn't help but feel twinges of romance. Nor could I help but to stare as Kyle removed his shirt to reveal his soft chest fur, the brilliant white accented the subtle, but toned muscles. I'm pretty sure Kyle pretended not to notice I was starting but I blushed anyway and looked away.

"Hey Morgan," He asked quietly, with his kind, comforting voice "aren't you going to get ready?" His ears twitched as I nodded hastily and pulled my shirt over my head. I couldn't see that he was staring at me also.

We swam and splashed around in the river for about an hour before we decided to leave. To my disappointment, Kyle put his shirt back on as I did the same. We slipped on our sandals and walked into town, side by side with towels over our shoulders. By now twilight was beginning to stretch over the sky, just as we reached the ice cream parlor. Soft twinkle lights hung from pole to pole, combining with the starry purple sky to create a beautiful atmosphere. Kyle ordered and we sat down with our jumbo soft serve twists. I stared at Kyle, sitting across from me, admiring the amazing effect the lights had. His eyes shimmered with reflections of the twinkle lights as he lowered them down to me, and went back too lapping his ice cream.

Damn, he was perfect, but he'd never like me back. Even if he was gay, who would want a boyfriend who couldn't even talk?

This thought struck me hard and I really hoped it wouldn't be true.

When Kyle and I walked home, we passed his house first, so we hugged goodbye and I gave him a thumbs up for 'Thank You!' as he entered his home.

I kept walking home alone, wondering if i should tell him how I feel? Was it too early? Would he be angry? What about his parents?

All these questions felt like needles in my feet as I walked home and crossed the threshold to my house.

"Hi sweetie, did you have fun?"

I managed a quick nod before a huge yawn overcame me, "I should probably sleep now" I thought as I shuffled up the staircase and into my room.

I wiggled out of my clothes and quickly fell asleep on top of the covers.

It was then that I had the most amazing dream;

I was sitting on a bench at the ocean, a salty breeze drifted pass, ruffling my fur and stinging my eyes. I felt something warm on my thigh and shoulder, a looked over and saw Kyle smiling back with his beautiful teeth and gorgeous eyes. He pressed his nose against mine and giggled, I couldn't help but laugh too.

"You know I like it when you laugh Morgan," He said, his eyes penetrating mine, reading my mind "because I can hear your beautiful voice."

He leaned in closer,

"I love you"
