#28 of A trainer's story

Solving the problems

...

Jake had never been more worried in his life.

He lost count of how many buildings, how many blocks, how many streets he had passed. He ignored his legs, which felt almost like they were on fire because of having overworked. He didn't stop for a single moment to catch his breaths, despite his chest was now heavied up and down repeatedly, forcing short patches of air out of his lung.

Yet somehow, the trainer forced himself to continue running.

Occasionally, Jake would glance at the pokemon laying in his arms, who was flushing feverishly and sweating profusely. Even through his jacket, the trainer could feel it every time Lucario quivered. Jake's heart felt like it was stabbed by a burning metal stake everytime he looked at his lover. The pokemon face showed nothing but intense pain, yet his muzzle never opened for any groans, whimpers or discomforting sounds. Was he enduring alone in order not to worry Jake?

"Hang in there!" Jake breathed out, "I'm telling you...Hang in there!!!"

While he was running, Jake briefly wondered if Jaden and Ryan had finished dealing with Logan. Putting him to prison was too pleasant of a punishment for the bastard. Jake personally wanted to tear the hunter apart, limb from limb, to make him suffer every bit of pain he had inflicted to Lucario. That being said, the trainer's knew greatest priority right now was the well-being of his pup.

The stranger, or Josh, led them through a few more streets, and when they finally stopped, Jake couldn' t help but gasped, because he was looking at the most luxurious estate he'd ever seen.. Never had he though such a place existed in the old and historical Eterna City. He was in for an even bigger surprise when Josh opened the gate and gestured him to come inside.

"This is the fanciest place I've ever seen! Who in the blue blaze is this guy?" Jake wondered aloud as he followed Josh.

The front door opened, but when Josh was about to step inside, something jumped out and landed on him. All Jake could see was an orange blur, and the next thing he knew, Josh was pinned on the floor and assaulted rentlessly by a big, wet tongue.

"Arky!" Josh exclaimed and squirmed as the slippery appenage continued to bathe him in pokemon saliva, but the large beast atop him didn't show any sight of stopping.

Jake was speechless as he watched the tail-wagging Arcanine nuzzled Josh and coated his face throughoutly with drool. He'd read story about them, but this was the first time he got to see one in real life. Arcanine possessed magnificent speed, power, but more importantly, pride, loyalty and a fierce sense of justice which rivalled those of Lucario.

"This guy has an Arcanine, and he even gave it a nickname?"Jake thought, astonished, but a long groan from Lucario dragged him back to reality. He looked at the aura pokemon concernedly. Lucario had been quiet for a while, but now he started making noises...that only meant one thing: The pain had reached the point of overwhelming, and he couldn't withstand it anymore.!

Apparently, Josh noticed that too. Trying to be as gentle as possible, he pushed the Arcanine away, much to the pokemon's disappointment, "Sorry Arky. I know you miss me, but right now, we've got something more important to do. There's a medicine kit on the night stand in my room. Could you go and get it for me?" He said persuadingly while stroking the pokemon's fluffy, beige-colored mane.

Arcanine's diamond-shaped ears dropped, but the pokemon seemed to understand the gravity of the situation when it looked at Jake and Lucario. The trainer shivered as the beast's piercing gaze fixed on him, showing absolutely no hostility, yet still somewhat intimidating. Nevertheless, Arcanine nodded and quickly disappeared upstair.

"And you...bring your Lucario over there!" Josh ordered, poiting at the light blue couch in the middle of the room, which Jake obliged and gently set his lover onto the soft, comfy surface.

Josh approached the couple. He looked at Lucario from head to toes, quietly examining the pokemon. Jake blushed slightly when he saw Josh fix his eyes on the jacket wrapped around Lucario. It would be quite disturbing if he requested to take it off.

"Don't worry, I know why that jacket's there. You don't need to take it off." Josh said, making Jake blush even more. Putting his hand on Lucario forehead, he frowned, "This is bad. The heat is damaging your Lucario inside out. Just how much of that poision he's been injected with?"

"I don't know. What poison are you talking about?"

"A sex poision. A.k.a aphrodisiac. A.k.a something that makes you really, really horny. I thought you'd already seen the result for yourself." Josh remarked sacrastically as he noticed the incredibly embarassed look on Jake's face, "I don't know why you act so strange about this. The way I see it, you are male, and your Lucario is also male. Even if you two ain't the same race, it's not like you'd get turned on looking at your own pokemon's erection huh?"

Jake opened his mouth, but immediately closed it. At this point, the trainer knew if he said another word, he might as well dig his own grave.

Suddenly, there was a gush of wind, and Jake almost jump when he realized Arcanine was standing right next to Josh, holding a white medical box in its mouth. This pokemon really reminded Jake of Latios, because they had the same increadible speed and majestic appearances, which brought the trainer to his recent question: How had Josh managed to obtain this Arcanine?

"Thanks, Arky." Josh smiled as the Arcanine dropped the medical box onto his hands. Wasting no time, he immediately searched the container, and pulled out a small bottle in which was silky blue liquid.

Jake wondered why looking at Josh and Arcanine made him feel so nostalgic, and then he realized that was the exact same way he and Lucario acted around each other when they were in good moods.

Jaden had also stated that the only reason he had Latios was because they were lovers, and when Jake looked at Josh and Arcanine, he couldn't help wondering...if they were the same?

"What the fuck am I thinking about?" Jake snapped mentally, shaking his head in a winning effort to discard the thoughts he deemed unnecessary.

Meanwhile, Josh had finished pumping a syringe full of the blue liquid. He turned to Jake, who was wearing an oblivious expression, and explained, "I've come across this aphrodisiac once before, so I was able to make an antidote for it. Never has a chance to test it out though, so that's a risk we have to take. I have plenty of condifence in my skills, however, if my guess is correct, the initial moment when the antidote takes effect will be quite painful for him, so get ready."

Josh was right. Immediately after the syringe's needle pierced his skin and the antidote flowed into his body, Lucario let loose an ear-splitting scream and started twiching uncontrollably. It pained Jake to see his lover in such a stage, but for the time being, all he could do was squeezing the pokemon's paw gently, trying to provide him with a bit of warmth and comfort.

...

Eterna Forest was usually a mysterious, creepy and peaceful place, but today, that peacefulness was disturbed by series of explosion and crashing noises.

Tyranitar's back hit the wall as he was knocked backward by a combined attack of Latios and Charizard. The dinosaurian beast fell onto his knees and groaned in pain, which wasn't only from the physical assault, but also from the humiliation of being utterly dominated for the very first time in his aggressive life.

Logan's control chamber, or more precisely, his entire underground base, was now a mess. The computers, control panels and other equipments had all been completely destroyed. Every now and then, there would be a new hole on the wall or ceiling. Dust was flying everywhere, and the floor was filled with mountains of debris...Everything was pretty much wrecked.

"You fucking brats!" Logan growled as he was forced to witness the destruction of his own hideout, the place which he'd just been bragging about less than 30 minutes ago. In a vain attempt to retaliate, Logan plunged himself toward Jaden as he tried to throw a punch the latter.

But Jaden was faster. Ducking his head to avoid the blow, he grabbed the hunter's wrist and twisted it, so hard that he almost snapped Logan's arm. But he wasn't done. Another kick to Logan's feet, and the hunter was brought to his knees.

"You underestimated me again." Jaden smirked, "This ain't the first time I deal with scums like you. Oh, and by the way, for someone who claims to be elite, you're quite an amateur."

"Damn it! The two of you against me alone...it's not fair!" Logan stammered, grimacing as Jaden tightened the grip around his wrist.

"Fair? You, someone who ambushes others, using dirty tricks to steal pokemon, then runs away like a coward, and you have the audacity to talk about fair? No, you should have seen this coming a long, long time ago. You were able to get away a few times, hunter, but today, your luck has finally run out. We'll send you to jail, so you can enjoy the rest of your back-stabbing life there!"

Logan's face turned pale when he heard the word 'jail', "Please...Let me go, I'll do anything..."

"Let you go?" Jaden laughed, looking at the hunter in disgust, "When your victims...Those innocent pokemon begged you to let them go, what did you do? You really are trash. A shameless, pathetic coward!"

The statement was followed by a kick to Logan's abdomen. The hunter felt onto the ground, knocked out cold.

"Man, I didn't know you could be so scary." Ryan faltered, running his eyes at an unconscious Logan.

"Did you now?" Jaden smiled in return. He seemed to have reversed back to his normal, friendly self, "To deal with bastards, one has to be a bastard...Your father told me that, back when we were in Hoenn, working together to stop team Magma. Who knew one day I get to fight along side his son in Sinnoh?"

"That old man." Ryan snorted, "He always wants to solve problems by brute force rather than nagotiation. I really can't stand that habbit of him!"

"Sometimes, we have no other choice." Jaden shook his head, pointing at Logan, "Take this jerk for an example. How do you plan to negotiate with him?"

Ryan looked at the hunter, and nodded in agreement, "You're right. So, what should we do with him and his pokemon?"

"Bring them to the city. I'll call the Pokemon Rangers and he'll be in jail soon enough. As for his pokemon, they can either return to the wild or stay to assist the rangers, as long as they promise to behave."

"Good idea."

...

Jake gently placed Lucario onto a bed and pulled the blanket over his shoulder to cover most of the pokemon's body, except for his head. Josh was kind enough to provide them with a guestroom, so Lucario could rest without being disturbed. Also, according to the healer, his antidote neutralized the aphrodisiac's effects, but it also caused the injected to lose tempature rapidly, so Jake was doing everything he could to keep Lucario warm.

The trainer stood there, looking at his sleeping lover for a while, hand gripping the mega stone necklace tightly. Conflicting thoughts stormed his minds. How many times had he done this? Dragging them into troubles, only to watch helplessly everytime Lucario took the bullet for him.

He felt so guilty and powerless...

Lowering his head, Jake planted a light kiss on the sleeping pokemon's soft muzzle, before quietly closing the door, making his way back to the living room.

Throwing his back against the couch, Jake let loose a grunt of exertion. So busy worrying bout Lucario, he'd almost forgotten how worn out his body was. His strained muscles ached in searing pain, and his throat burned with immense thirst, as though it was a desert.

Thanksfully, Josh noticed his condition. He disappeared to the kitchen, only to come back with sandwiches and water, "You seem to be hungry. Go a head."

"Don't mind if I do." Jake replied tiredly. Before long, the trainer had stuffed himself full of goodies. Wiping his mouth, he laid back lazily and moaned in satisfaction, "Thanks a bunch. I live again."

"You don't have to thanks me. It's not like I'd let you starve to death anyway." Josh said, scratching Arcanine's ears. The flaming canine was curling itself on the sofa, head resting on Josh's lap, murring in content.

"You two seem pretty close to each other.." Jake pointed out.

"Yeah. This guy right here is the best pal I could ever wish for, and he gets excited every time he spots me." Josh repplied, chuckling, "By the way, I still haven't known your name."

"Jake. Nice to meet you." The trainer said and offered a handshake, which Josh accepted, "I think I've already introduced myself. The name's Josh, nice to meet ya too. So...mind if I ask what kind of mess you and that Lucario have gotten yourselves into?"

"Long story..." Jake breathed out, "In short, it envolves me and Lucario, a wild Buizel and a crazy bastard who called himself a rare hunter, and tried to turn my Lucario into his sex slave!"

Josh frowned, "Did you just say rare hunter?"

"Yeah." Jake nodded. He didn't miss the the revolted look on Josh's face, as well as Arcanine's angry growls. Those two must have quite a history with the hunters, and it certainly wasn't a good one, "You know them?"

"Yes, but I thought the pokemon rangers had wiped them out," Josh snorted, "To think some of those bastards are still out there...it makes me sick!"

"What exactly have they done to you?"

"Not me, but Arky. Just like your Lucario, they also tried to turn him into a sex slave. They wanted to use him as a breeding male to reproduce more Arcanine and sell them. Fortunately, I was able to find him before things coud get worse." Josh said, shivering as he recalled the bloody, battered form of Arcanine when they first met.

"I get it now. Well, that explains why you were able to make the antidote, but...what did you do to help Arcanine back then?"

Instantly, Josh's face, as well as Arcanine's, flushed a brilliant shade of crimson, but it lasted for a mere split second, too short for Jake to notice.

"D-don't worry about it..." Josh said quickly, "More importantly, your Lucario should be awake now. Go check on him."

The trainer's face immediately brightened. Eyes beaming with joy, he gave a quick nod and started running to Lucario's room, but stopped half-way when he remembered something important, "Hey Josh, do you...uhm, have any milk?"

"Milk?"

"Yeah, warm milk, or better yet, warm chocolate milk."

"Weird choice of taste you've got there," Josh chuckled, "But fine...Wait here, I'll be right back."

Jake smiled. He looked at Lucario's mega stone, which was gleaming a warm, blue luster. Very soon, the stone would be returned to its rightful owner, and this time, Jake had to make sure it'd never come off again.
