Chapter 5: Final test

I awoke in my room, I have a slight sense of insanity in my mind, I don't know why but it's there.As the typical day goes I get up, I get dressed, and then I get taken to my testing room today's test took place in testing 021. This time before they threw me into the room, one of the guards say "This is your last test before we have to take you to the showcase... Since we'll be showing some of our experiments... Have fun"

Once he finished his statement they quickly threw me into the room... And of course the door shuts right when I'm thrown...

I sit on the floor waiting patiently, and after a couple sorry moments a rather formally dressed dingo walks in, he was wearing a six black tuxedo nothing special...He goes to the wall and taps a certain area, once that occured a rather small key pad appeares,he types in a rather simple code for me, Since that now I have reached 100% of transcendence, everything feels different now...

I can understand everything, I can memorize anything, I can manipulate technology, I'm becoming bionic... Luckily I still have a little bit of myself so that's good...after a couple short moments the dingo finally turns to me and he has a phone. if I'm correct it's a Lg Optimus L9...Ok....

"Hack this phone. It's a simply task since it's only requires 40% Transcendence" He says to me in a rather mellow sounding tone... 40? Well I've exceeded that already, but I have to hold back until the showcase..

I barely focus my mind onto the device, instead of it being almost instantaneous it took about 3 seconds...I hack into the phone, bit now to much, i just mess up the programming, and make it shut off.

The dingo smiles at me and says "good job we're going to take you to your cell...In there for you there is a suit...you need to get dressed in it within 5 minutes so we can prepare you for the final showcase"

Once he finishes three guards come into the room, grab my arms, and take me to my 'cell'...

IN JAKE'S CELL

I look at the suit, I thought it would be something nice but nope. it's a wetsuit... How classy.

I pick up the suit a bit slowly, just to examine it, and then I begin to put it on, it's a black suit nothing special about it. As I'm putting on the suit I hear some voices outside my door, of course I choose to ignore them. I finish putting on the suit and I look to the clock "2 more minutes..." I say to myself as I got to my bed and sat down. There were various thoughts going through my mind...I think about what will I do when the show me off? Will he be there? But before I could think the thoughts through, Two formally dressed doctors come into my room, a jackal and a bull

"Mr. Darkos, please come with us, it's time for us to prepare you for the showcase" the jackal says, and of course I follow orders and go with them.

We walk through various corridors, each having a different type of test. I saw at least 3 with speed testing and 2 with some blood work... We walked through one last corridor before we approached a large metal door, and as usual I see a coffee being typed in. Once the coffee was typed the door opened slowly, it's revealed a rather large, dark room.

There was a lot of science equipment in there, and there were pills in containers, they were sorted by color, the was red, blue, green, and black. One thing that stood out was the large cylindrical tank that was filled with a subsistence that appeared to be clear.

I was escorted to a ladder that led to the top of the tank a fox instructed "Get in the tank" before I was about to step up. They hooked 4 wires to my head, 3 into each of my arms, and 5 to my chest/torso. I was now able to get in the tank.

I stepped up the ladder and I kinda just, well... hopped in.

Immediately I felt sleepy "I'm supposed to be asleep" I thought...Yup... So I just closed my eyes. Faking sleep, haven't done that before... eh... Once they noticed that I fell "Asleep" they began to take me to the "Showcase" it didn't take that long to get there...

I opened my eyes and looked around... it's was a large, gray, bland, room. They finally set me down somewhere.

Then I hear someone say

"Hello And welcome to the showcase of the E.T.A! Today we are going to show you one of our subjects. But before we do let me tell you about this association. At the E.T.A we perform experiments to see if we can become smarter, bionic, immortal, etc. but we haven't been successful but this year we have. Now... LETS BEGIN" He gestures to me "Here is the subject"

A beagle in the crowd politely raises his paw "Why is he submerged in that tank?"

"It's so that his mind can be stimulated, because there was one subject years ago that went rogue..." He (A g-shep) replied to the beagle

"Okay. not Let's wake him up!" he yells asa couple doctor flick some stitches, I play along and 'Wake up'

The crowd claps and cheer a bit. After a short moment the German Shepard says "Now if you look at the projector you can see that this subject is at 40% transcendence! Quite impressive..."

The dragon (Who is named Gale) must've changed the information... The crowd once again applauds... It's getting annoying... A doctor walks up and takes the mic from the German Shepard "Before I bother to say anything, anymore questions?"

A female chipmunk raises her paw "Exactly what is transcendence?"

The doctor gave her a smug grin "Transcendence is the plural word for transcendent.... basically we take normal people and we make then smarter... they also become bionic... but that's all we know so far.."

After more questions and more pointless shit A voice is heard on the intercom "NOW JAKE!" The doctors and the crowd look around in suspicion

I quickly focus on the glass on the tank and it's breaks break, when everyone saw this they began to panic and I heard someone yell "ROGUE!!!THE SUBJECT HAS GONE ROGUE!!!!" And then a bunch of alarms went off

I begin to run to the door, and I see Gale. But when I get close he yells "JAKE BEHIND YOU" What now...

I quickly turn around and there is a wall of guards, all armed.

"Shoot now!" One of them yell... they all shoot and a barrage of bullets came at me, luckily I focus again and the bullets slow down...I use my mind to shoot them back, it's a good distraction...

After the guards get shot down me and Gale run.

We run as quickly as we can "We're almost out! Just one more corridor!" he says to me as he runs into a closet... What the hell is he doing...

"What are you doing?!" I ask

"Becoming a transcendent" Gale says to me as he grabs 5 syringes and injects himself "Shut and Lock the door!" he yells

I do as I'm told... Gale finishes injecting himself and he begins to twitch uncontrollably and he falls down.... As this happens he is screaming "AHHHHHH..." Wow... It must be very painful...

After a couple seconds he finally stops... he gets up quickly "Let's go!" He grabs my arm and we run to the main door, Were a bit late.

There was a wall of guards protecting the door "Your not escaping!" one of them yell

Gale looks at me "You can't stop us... you have no chance..." I say

"Shoot!"

Ugh.... Another barrage of bullets come at us and we both focus. Gale makes them slow down and I shoot them back...the guards get shot again... it's kinda funny to watch, and it's nice to see them bleed, but I can't stay... We run again and we escape....
