Hello! This is my debut story so its probably bad. But tell me what you think and criticism much appreciated.

This story is about a young wolf who can't speak, and just happens to be very gay.

Pssst: this was somewhat inspired by a song which you can listen to here: http://youtu.be/QRqKVo8oUn4

DISCLAIMER: MAY CONTAIN GAY

I wish I could speak. I always have. I was always confused why everyone around me, for my whole life, was feverishly exchanging information with their mouths. And all I could do was sit there. Now, even in the case that I could speak, I wouldn't do it very often. For I consider my self quite the introvert, hell i didn't even wish I could speak until I met my best friend, and now mate, Kyle.

The summer after fourth grade, my mom and I moved to Minneapolis from our home in Boston. I hadn't had any friends, and didn't plan on making any, but on first day at my new school, someone actually tried to talk to me.

I was seated in the corner of the classroom, working intensely on a jigsaw puzzle.

"Hey, mind if I join?" asked a brilliant red fox. I nodded quickly, slightly embarrassed that someone tried to talk to me.

The fox sat down and sat for a few seconds before letting out a surprised jolt as he remembered "Oh, right. My name's Kyle, what about you?"

I held up my pointer finger as if to say "one minute" and jumped out of my chair to grab a pencil and my notebook. I plopped back down in my seat, panting slightly as I wrote

*My name is Morgan*

"Ummmm, do you have a sore throat or something?" Kyle asked, clearly puzzled.

I shook my head and scribbled the words *Sorry, I can't talk*

"Oh, u-uh" Kyle stammered, "I'm so sorry, I didn't know!"

*It's fine, I get it a lot* I wrote, holding it up for him with a smile.

"Is it hard?" He asked.

This confused me so I simply cocked my head to the side in a questioning manner.

"You know, like... not talking"

*I guess* I jotted on the paper.

Kyle and I both swiveled our heads as we heard the classroom door slam shut.

"If everyone could have a seat on the rug please" asked the teacher.

Everyone shuffled over and flopped down on the floor, Kyle and were the closest to the rug so we sat next to each other. I was beginning to feel incredibly excited, I was finally making a friend.

The teacher droned on and on about what the year will be like and what we'll learn when and other stuff I didn't care about. Until the sweet release that is lunch. The class cheered up when the teacher said we could pick our own desks, Kyle and I sat next to each other and were talking/writing about various books and movies to the point where my hand was cramping up from writing so fast.

Then, out of nowhere Kyle asked "Do you wanna come to my house after school?"

*Sure!* I wrote *But are your parents and my parents gonna be okay with it?*

"My parents should be fine with it, and you can use the school phone to call your parents and ask." He replied, and after a few seconds a lightbulb went off in his head as he said "Oh wait, I'm so stupid"

*Yeah, I can't use the phone* I held up the note and stuck out my tongue.

"Maybe I could speak for you?" he suggested.

*Really?!*

"Of course." he responded

*Ok then*

It was the end of the day, Kyle had called my parents on my behalf and we were walking towards the buses. We spent the ride in relative silence, whith me writing occasional questions about his family.

After the fifteen-minute bus ride we hopped off at Kyle's stop, which happened to be the same as mine. It was only three blocks to his house and we spent it silently, for it was hard for me to write while walking. We climbed the steps to his door, which his mother answered with a friendly smile.

"Hello sweetie, how was your day?"

"Good I guess" Kyle shrugged.

"Oh, and who's this?" She asked gesturing towards me. Which I responded with a smile and a wave.

"This is Morgan" Kyle told his mom "He can't speak so he needs to write his thoughts on paper"

"Well nice to meet you Morgan" she replied, a little surprised from what she had learned "But Kyle, you need to ask before you bring friends home"

Kyle let out a transparent "Sorry Mom" as she lead us into the house.
