Differences Prologue

What would happen if the Humans from the pokemon world, and our world collided? Would there be war? Peace? Love? Friendship? Who knows. Read to find out.
Differences
Pokemon World, Terra. Year 2436: I look to the television with my new friend Ralts. We happily sit on the couch together, watching the first launch of Human space fairing colony ships. I wrap a playful arm around the female Ralts and lean against her as she does the same.
"Here you see the colonial ship, Gardevoir. This ship was named that because it is said to protect its crew and passengers at all costs. Now, the battle cruiser's Machamp, and Aggron will be accompanying them for protection." The TV said. Whoever was speaking was about to again, but a loud rumble started to sound. In the background, you could see the orbital thrusters of the colony ship blast off and lift the thousands of tons of metal and biomass. Now, being 8, I had no idea what was about to happen.
Human World, Earth. Year 2436: I sit on my couch watching the news and playing portable Halo on my XBP (Xbox Portable). The screen suddenly cut to the breaking news screen and showed the national reporter. Odd, we live in a small city and get a local reporter.
"This is breaking news from Washington DC." DC?! Damn, this must be important! "We have made first contact with extra-terrestrials. As you can see behind me..." The reporter trailed on as I tuned her out and stared behind her shoulder. A large ship appeared to be protruding into the atmosphere. Although I knew it wasn't in the atmosphere because then it would be burning up. "We have received news that the extra-terrestrials are in fact, Humanoid. We have no idea if theses Humanoids speak the world language of English, or if they speak a different language. But either way, the president of the United Earth Colonies plans on setting up a formal meeting and discuss what they are doing here." The reporter continued.
Aliens?! And they appear Human?! This is some April fool's joke. I mean, it may be a little late, but still...
Terra. Year 2525: The rumors of alien life that actually were Humans were confirmed today. They even showed images of their settlements. Huge box-like towers touched the clouds. Far too many cars to count littered the streets as millions of people walk the sidewalks as well. And that was all in one area. I wonder what it's like there. Are they friendly? Do they have pokemon? I wonder if they have other planets settled. Far too many questions filled my head. I stopped them and returned to my caring Gardevoir. In my old age of 89, she still cared for me like I was the only thing on this rock of a planet. I wonder how my grandson Jeremy is?
Earth, 2525: I've heard that the Humans from Terra did something the government doesn't like. I don't remember quite what they called it, but they did something. Now Earth has declared war against Terra. This entire thing is stupid. I hope my granddaughter doesn't get involved. Oh Rachel, please don't do anything stupid.

So, I don't know what I was thinking when I thought of the idea for this story. I guess it started out as me reading a HumanXPokemon love story. I thought, 'What if the Humans from Earth, and the Humans from... Planet Pokemon achieved the space age and collided in an epic war?' I know I know, it sounds stupid and the Pokemon Humans would obviously have better technology, but stay with me here. I have great plans for this story.
