This is, essentially, a narration of 5-d's 'Zilla rampage comic over on FA.

As such! This is the first part which corresponds to his. It doesn't quite fit his uploaded version perfectly, but him and me collaborated together for me to write it in the manner he thought best and much more fun. <3

Thunderous cracks rippled through congested inner streets of a major city filled to the brim with a healthy population of folk. Curiously enough, not a cloud covered the sprawling jungle of glass and steel. The sun shone bright, revealing the region to be like a glittering crystal jutting out from the ground for miles abroad. Only one difference marred the otherwise perfect engineering in the man-made expanse; a single roaming object was the only thing which cast a looming shadow.

People from below took no heed of each echoing boom that came closer to them. Every second which passed caused it to grow louder, and the noises to become more defined. Instead of thunder, one could recognize the noises to be that of concrete being torn apart, as though a natural disaster rapidly closed in. Those waiting in their cars at a streetlight soon found a giant pair of scaly feet rounding a corner, galloping along. It was a giant reptilian creature, looking to be a cross of dinosaur and dragon, and the being was known to the people simply as Zilla.

Each step seemed carefully orchestrated by Zilla, as if trying to maintain a self-imposed standard. Even if his gait could take him nearly a hundred feet in each stride, he instead moved little more than a few yards. His bulk was proven with each quick strike the broad and clawed feet exerted upon the ground, for a picturesque print of each foot had been left behind. His tail wagged behind him with extreme jubilance, thinking of himself as simply taking a wondrous stroll downtown, and all the while the long appendage smacked against buildings on either side of the street to create a hail of shattered material.

As either of the three-toed appendages struck nearby vehicles, one could see that they hopped slightly in the air due to the heavy reverberations. Those within barely seemed to notice the gigantic reptile, instead paying heed to the grotesquely long wait time of inner-city streetlights. Consequently those individuals who did not shift positions were instead left to permanently wallow in place, for when the feet came down, they did not discriminate or attempt in the slightest to evade the automobiles. In fact Zilla instead seemed quite content when specifically aiming for the objects which stayed put, and with every small crunch flattening them completely, the toes twitched in a small wave as if displaying deep enjoyment.

In the matter of moments, almost as quick as one took a breath in and then out, Zilla would have passed on by. Zigzagging through the maze of streets, it was anyone's guess as to where he may go. The people, in any case, simply drove on and passed by the carnage created in his wake. Spouts of water shot into the air from waterlines being torn apart beneath the streets and footprints. Sparks of electricity shot out near upturned cables and torn apart lights. All they had to do, however, was simply drive on around the city. If nothing else the cracks iĀ n the ground created a sort of obstacle course. Even then, many of the people who survived drove along the sides of the toe prints and along where the heels left their marks, as though this was just another everyday occurrence.

Entire city blocks eventually became closed off to all traffic, open only to foot traffic, as was evident by how certain streets had been barricaded and guards posted to ensure none drove beyond. Many of them, shielding their eyes from the bright hot sun in the sky, took a sigh of relief once Zilla appeared and subsequently cast his shadow across the street. They didn't hold a shred of fear for the gigantic monster rapidly approaching the avenue which they stood watch at. Some individuals seemed even to want to gain a closer view of such, particularly news reporters. Only a couple were lucky enough to get so close as to actually find themselves shadowed by the oncoming feet; the caster continued to speak in a flurry as the cameraman caught it all with his lens. Luck smiled upon them all the greater, as while they found themselves plastered right on the edge of a toe, and stuck in the center, had been cushioned just enough to continue on with their work, cameras still rolling.

Those just outside the impact area were thrown off their feet due to the sudden shock waves, but they soon got right back up as if nothing had happened. They watched as hundreds of pounds worth of asphalt and other materials, dug up from the ground, were sprinkled into the air around them. Most of the people underfoot remained as smears in the several-foot trough created by the feet, except for those lucky few who got caught between segments of the toes. In this way Zilla's feet proved themselves to be fairly cushioned and soft on the bottoms, as they weren't outright crushed just by coming into contact with the fine scales.

If one didn't know any better, it actually appeared more as if Zilla purposely kicked up any of the bodies not smashed beneath the thick scaly pads of the feet. Each toe wiggled for but a brief moment in time, as if shuffling about any of the bodies not outright smashed so that he could get a better grip upon them. Of course once the foot was raised once more, the toes unfurled and stretched completely straight, sending the mass of debris and bodies about. Just like clockwork, the upturned foot soon came right back down to the ground. In a natural motion, the back of it came down first to dig deep into the street and start cascading effect which the rest of the appendage could follow.

Clusters of people fell beneath the gigantic feet. Not once did anyone pay much mind to the condition of those around them, and in fact, many of them seemed much more content in flooding into the areas which Zilla had been, for it thinned out the crowd, and made it easier for many to get into areas they previously could not. Like a flock of sheep, hoards of people began walking in those directions, only to be soon clenched by quickly approaching feet; the reptile aiming quite diligently in order to grab dozens and wedge them between the toes. Those individuals got a beautifully close look at those being crushed within arm's length. Beyond the smashing cement, each body could be heard being smashed to the surface, a tiny and wet squish being the last thing they were to be remembered by just before the portion of toe came down upon their carefree bodies.
