Part 5: Gunge Tanks

-0-

With thick goo clinging up to his stomach Con lightly rested his hands on the buzzer, waiting patiently for the next question. The glass gunge tank he'd been made to sit in for this new game had been split into six segments and gunge poured in from above every time he got an answer wrong or wasn't fast enough. It was thick, slimy black goo that had left his feathers heavy, soaked and plastered to his thin frame. It was also warm and shifting about on its own, teasing his ankles and legs with phantom fingers, making it clear that somehow, on some level this goo was alive.

Glancing to the left he watched as Forest shook his head and wiped his eyes clear. He'd just been showered in goo for being the last to hit the buzzer during the previous round. The wolf's tank was now flooded up to the fourth level, goo lapping around his chest as he pawed around to try and find his buzzer. Across in Delph's tank the bunny had earned a brief reprieve with gunge draining out of the tank by one level as a reward for his correct answer. The rabbit was nervously pushing his lop ears back away from his muzzle, shooting nervous glances at Con and Forest as his heavy ears stuck to the curve if his neck. Con offered him a smile then looked over at Freaky, the green raichu was lounging on his podium watching the group and smirking.

"Hard luck Forest, two more last ins or one wrong answer and you'll be out of the game... now then question four!" picking up a card the raichu glanced at it and chuckled, "How long was the Eifel tower originally meant to be....."

Con slammed his hand against the buzzer as quickly as he could, the tone signalling he'd just beaten Forest to the post with Delph's buzzer sounding last. Smiling, wiggling in the goo lapping about his waist the griffin called out, "Fifteen years!"

A buzzer sounded and a red light sounded as Freaky laughed and called out, "Wrong, it was twenty years with the tower to be pulled down in 1909." Con groaned and tilted his head back, closed his eyes as a torrent of thick gunge was unleashed into the tank. The warm, slippery gunk poured over his beak, sloughed through his shoulder feathers and started to fill the tank. He whimpered as the level of darkly clinging gunge engulfed his chest completely. It flowed over his already matted chest and back feathers and dragged his wings down under its weight leaving him feeling somewhat detached from his from his body as the gunge lapped around his neck. He could move his arms, legs and wriggle his toes or twitch his wings but they all felt heavy and slimy. The gunge parted slowly and even seemed to push back against his body, resisting him, growing more viscous as it settled

"And Delph, naughty bunny you were in last.... such wickedness but fear not we can punish you for this!" the klaxon sounded and a torrent of goo splashed down over Delph. The stream hit the shyly squirming bunny atop the head and parted to pour down around both ears and add to the gunge lapping about the rabbit's stomach. "Well things are looking dire for Con and Delph, one more wrong answer from either of you and that's it, game over so.... to not keep the folks waiting at home...." the raichu flipped up a card and smiled, "On what island in the South Pacific did the schooner Emma run into trouble that left only one crew member alive and in a catatonic state....." he stopped speaking as Forest hit the buzzer, Con panicked, he had no idea what the answer was but slammed the switch anyway. He was too slow, he heard Delph's ring and squeaked as the alarm klaxon started ringing before Forest had a chance to give his answer.

"Oh dear, too slow Con..... looks like Luka gets to add griffin to his list of fun new friends!"

The sirens almost seemed to be laughing as with an ear shattering whoop the deluge of gunge started again. Thick black slime splashed down over Con's head, the goo splattering into the gunge already in the tank, adding to its volume, slowly making the level creep upwards. Squirming back and forth the griffin pawed helplessly at the glass as he was forced to tilt his head back to keep his beak out of the goo. Struggling, squirming Con was forced to close his eyes as they sunk under the goo but his beak was still free so he gulped down a desperate breath and held it in as he felt the gunge creep up and over him. The griffin could feel the vibration of new goo hitting the surface, agitating the mixture about his head before the sensation slowly faded away. Scrabbling and pawing at the walls and ceiling of the tank Con could not find any way to surface. His whole world had been reduced to a gloopy, thick and slimy mess, gunge oozed through his feathers remorselessly, everything was dark and gooey and he could feel the stuff creeping, moving counter to his struggles, teasing, stroking, toying with him. He was also starting to drown, the pressure against his chest was growing, he desperately needed to breathe but he struggled to hold his breath as the only thing out there was more goo.

A sudden suction under Con's taloned feet startled him and with relief he felt the goo streaming past, draining away until his head broached the surface. Panting, gulping down a breath of fresh air Con clawed at his eyes. For a moment he felt a rush of hope, Daniel's conversion into goo must have all been staged. Maybe now the cameras were off him he'd be free to go get this gunk out from amongst his feathers. Such hopes were dashed as he managed to clear his vision, Freaky was still there, as were Delph and Forest, watching him as the goo lapping around his ankles drained away.... glancing down he started, letting out an undignified squawk. His body was clean, he still felt wet and gooey but there was no sign of the black gunge that by rights should have been clinging to his body.

"That's better," Freaky was saying to the cameras, "We'll be able to watch Con's conversion in full now.... Start the gunge and Con.... no shame in enjoying it!"

The raichu's taunt fell on deaf ears as Con was panicking again, throwing himself against the glass of the tank, trying to force his way out whilst he had the full use of his body. A siren sounded, there was a grinding sound from above and then a clank as the valves opened and a torrent of thick, clear slime splashed down atop him. It was thick, almost treacle like against his feathers yet flowing freely from above like a heavy deluge of water. In seconds it was up to Con's ankles and swiftly creeping higher. Within a minute it was up to his waist and rising swiftly even as he battered his wings against the glass. It was futile however, the tank refused to budge, the liquid poured in and once again Con found himself being forced to tilt his head back and breathe deeply as it crept along neck. Giving it one final, half-hearted attempted he tried to thump the glass but the slime made any attempt at force impossible as it dragged at his limbs. Con couldn't shift the idea that he was sinking as the goo lapped against his beak, crept through the feathers of his head. Then with a soft glop that he could barely hear the gunge engulfed him and he was left squirming and floating within the confines of his prison.

With thick, viscous liquid squeezing his body from all directions, there was no way out, no route to freedom; all he could do was paw at the glass, kick slowly through the slime and try to keep his beak shut. His lungs were burning; his chest felt like it was going to explode. Everything started to grow foggy, dark... purple lights flashed behind his owed eyelids, pressure built behind his temples. For a moment as he stirred in the goo, growing weaker he felt his body growing distant, the feel of gunge against feathers fading. Then it all rushed back as he was finally forced to try and breathe. His eyes bulged open and he stared through hazy goop at the studio beyond. Thick gunge pour down into his lungs and the griffin curled up as he felt his body implode in on itself.

His thoughts went from pained, cramped and dying to spread out and confused. He could feel the walls of the tanks, feel the glass adhering to his shape as he spread, expanding to fill the entire space. It felt good, he felt good, slippery, free, and mobile but it was hard to think, to focus. There had been something, some nagging sense of horror, a burning need to... to.... no it was gone. Now there was just the other presence; thoughts flowing to fill his mind, his being.... happy, fun, bouncy, welcoming thoughts. He was to join them, to become one with those crazy, zany, fun loving thoughts. As soon as the way opened for him he poured himself into the opening and flowed away, down, down, down to join the crazy melange of excited, eager, waiting thoughts..... He was to take his place as part of Luka.

Watching the last of the orange colour spread and bond with the clear goo filling the tank Freaky smiled. His muzzle split into a wickedly large grin as he turned to look at the remaining contestants and winked at them. "Seems Con has joined the others, he was a good player and I'm sure he'll make a fine contribution to our gunge supply."

Placing his hands atop his podium and assuming a sombre appearance the raichu appealed to everyone watching. "Now we are nearly into the final round, who will claim the Final Prize, who shall linger here and join our colourful troupe?" he paused, letting the cameras play over Forest and Delph for a moment before resuming his speech, "We'll find out here soon, in the Final Round of Choose the Goo! But first we have a little treat, a small interlude prepared for those of you watching at home whilst we prepare our finalists for their ultimate challenge. Panzer... take them away!"

"Of course," Panzer's voice boomed out as the cameras panned away from Freaky and faded out. The view changed to an empty, white tiled room. "We have something special planned, it seems our top scientist Dr James Campbell has had a bit of a disagreement with the production team and someone's seen fit to introduce him to his own goo, let's watch."

Stumbling, tripping and falling over as his crippled leg collapsed under him James rolled through the door in front of him. The raccoon landed in a sprawled heap on the slippery white tiles that made up the floor. Carefully sitting up the naked albino glared at the wall as the door rumbled shut, reaching down to lift his dead leg and set it out before him. Once he was a bit more comfortable he took stock of his location, frowning and trying to calm down and push the memories of what had happened to him away. There had been the spider hybrid, wrapping, sealing him up, cocooning him and then.... after everything was white and sticky there had been other hands. Quick moving, teasing, playfully spider hands, teasing, tugging, delving through layers of webbing to grope and tear clothing, spinning and teasing until he'd lost control and screamed when fangs grazed his neck. After that everything had grown hazy and indistinct, there had been more movement, more teasing, his mind had sunk into a strange hazy melange of pleasure and apathy and now he was here. He had vague memories of the webbing being drawn back, six hands gliding over his body, teasing and playing with him until his frame had been wracked by orgasm. Then more webbing, spinning, the fangs had come in to caress his tender flesh followed by more hazy pleasure and exhaustive teasing. Now. now there were white walls and bright lights and he was very, very naked.

Scooting over to the wall on his arse James slowly pulled himself up the wall until he could stand. Careful to place no weight on his lame leg he looked about, eyes darting from wall to wall trying to find some way out. There had to be some weakness or control panel in the structure that would enable him to escape. The only thing he saw was more blank walls, small white tiles all around, reflecting the soft illumination from the recessed lights. It was alarmingly clinical and as the fog continued to clear from his thoughts the coon fingered his neck, shying away from the sticky patch around the puncture wounds left by the spider.

"Freaky...." he shouted, or tried to but his throat was dry making him break into a hacking cough for a moment. Swallowing heavily he tried again, "Freaky! You've had your fun, this wasn't the deal now let me go you hear I.... what the...." he trailed off as something big, blue and gelatinous dropped out of a hole in the ceiling and landed with a splat in the centre of the room. It was a long, undulating tube shape; over five foot thick in the middle with tapering ends and as it rippled and shifted waves of thick blue slime oozed over the outer mass. It looked like some sort of leech or slug and somehow, despite being made from nothing but cobalt blue gunge it held itself together and moved under its own power.

"I'm sorry Dr Campbell," the leech like monstrosity said in Panzer's rich booming voice, the tapered end nearest the raccoon splitting open into a mouth, "You're services are no longer required."

"Panzer.... is... is that... what happened! What do you mean not required we had a deal."

The giant slug, leech... thing rippled, lifted its mouth off the ground and grinned widely, "Deal was we'd use your goo formula.... so we're going to use it... you're next." the leech lunged forwards, gooey body rippling toward James with a surprising turn of speed. The 'coon tried to move, to hobble out of the way but with his lame leg and no brace to support his weight he had no chance. He had time to scream and throw his arms up before the leech plunged its mouth down around his body. Gunge squished around his feet, the mass of the giant goo creature rippled against his body, picked him up and pulled him into the central mass of the gooey leech.

Squeaking in alarm, thrashing back and forth James soon found he was hopelessly trapped. The solid gungy interior pressed and moulded itself around his body, holding him in the depths of the slug. Slime oozed about his body, slicked through his fur and poured across his skin as the leech started to rock and mould and squeeze back and forth teasingly. It was gentle, warm, almost relaxing but as he was sloshed about, massaged and squeezed by the leech's strange, gloopy body he could feel himself starting to change. His white fur was the first to go, melting away into slime that mixed with the gunge now rubbing against his skin. It felt slick, it felt warm, it was a sensual thrill, the semi-solid, impermeable walls of the leech stroking his bare, sensitive skin. The process left him tingling and whimpering in need as his own formula started to work on his body. He knew the signs, he had tested each one meticulously, the way the goo seeped inside through his skin, converting, transforming, and slowly melting him into goo. His thoughts started to get sluggish, his personality was fracturing and new thoughts were invading, happy, teasing, bouncy, joyful thoughts. The chemical was meant to make the new goo critters malleable, suggestible but these thoughts were more than that. They were twisting around the core of his identify, draining away his memories, keeping his personality intact and supplanting his will with the desires and needs of the strange, multi-coloured goo creature Luka.

Rallying for one last struggle, one final thrash and groan James tried to hold onto himself, to not let the ferret win. The sudden sensation of his body going squish, of all that was him suddenly oozing into slime proved to be too much. He cried out once before sinking into the blissful, eager hive of activity that made up Luka. There were other voices, each a different shade or type of gunge but threaded throughout them all was the dominating, controlling excitable will of Luka. James was just getting used to the new feelings of his brothers when the undulating walls of the leech compressed around him. His body surged backwards; a mixture of liquid gunge around a semi-solid core. The walls pressed in behind and around him as the leech spat him back out onto the tiles. Landing with a splat James looked around then down at his sleek, slimy, shiny and gooey black body. His shape was translucent, gloopy and only partially holding the shape of a raccoon from the waist up. Carefully gathering his thoughts the former raccoon stood up, the shapeless mass below his waist solidifying into legs. Stretching his arms above his head James swayed his hips teasingly at the camera. He wanted to play, to bring the joy of goo to others, to introduce them to being slime but for now he had to join the others so running past the big blue leech he dived forwards. His slippery, shiny raccoon body slipped quickly over the tiles, slammed into a large drainage grill and oozed through it much to his delight and the joy of all those watching at home. His change was complete, he cared nothing for deals or broken promises his place was here, as goo, doing as Luka bid.

Turning away from the grill the gooey leech that had been revealed to be Panzer formed a large mouth and smiled at the audience and spoke. "Choose the Goo; the Final Round is ready to begin! So sit back and enjoy the show my friends!"
