"Alright, Jack. Ready to go?" the chipmunk asked, finishing shuffling his deck. The husky responded after placing his cards on the table, "You bet!""Then let's roll!" Charlie said happily."Monopoly rules?" Jack asked, throwing the dice."Sure. What are they?" Charlie asked as Jack rolled a twelve."It means that doubles rolls again." the husky responded, rolling again, this time a four and a six, "So you have to beat twenty-two.""Alright." the chipmunk accepted, rolling the dice. He swore as he rolled a six and a two, "So you can go first if you choose. I'm mulliganing anyway.""I'll keep my hand and go first. Forest, Font of Fertility, the turn's yours." Jack said."Mountain, pass." Charlie motioned. The husky drew with childish enthusiasm."I'll play a Plains and sacrifice my Font to get a second Forest. Go." the husky narrated."Alright, I'll draw." the chipmunk said, "I'll play an Island and play a Sigiled Skink. Go.""Sure thing." Jack accepted, drawing, "So that creature lets you scry when you attack?" The chipmunk nodded. "Well," the husky pondered, "I'll play...a Plains and then play and immediately sacrifice another Font or Fertility. I'll get a Plains tapped.""My turn?" the chipmunk asked. The husky nodded, "Okay, I'll play an Island and a Flamespeaker Adept, and swing for two with my Skink, allowing me to scry...I'll keep that there.""My turn!" the husky assumed. The chipmunk was about to say that it was when the husky drew anyway, playing four cards, "I'll play another Forest, Font of Fertility, a Font of Vigor, and an Oreskos Sun Guide. Go.""Sure." Charlie said, "I'm gonna play another Mountain, another Skink, and enchant my Adept with Aqueous Form. Swing for eight total, and you can't block the Adept.""I'll take it." the husky said absentmindedly, gazing at his hand as if calculating, "Can I go now?" Charlie chirped a "yup" and the husky drew. "I will gain three life," he said, "from summoning Nylea's Disciple. Then I'm gonna swing for two.""I'll take the two." Charlie accepted."I'll then play another Font of Vigor before the end of my turn." the husky said, motioning for the chipmunk to draw."I'll go ahead and swing for twelve after playing an Island, I'll scry 1 three times, and then, before you block, I'll play Riddle of Lightning and target your centaur. Oracle's Insight, your centaur's dead. You take twelve, you're hanging by a thread at three life." the chipmunk narrated. The husky then started his turn, seeing that the chipmunk couldn't do anything."I'll draw. I'll sacrifice one Font of Vigor and my green Font, getting a Forest and gaining seven life, then I'll enchant my Sun Guide with Ephara's radiance." Jack said, "I'm at twelve, go.""I'll play Keranos. Swing for twelve again.""I'll block with my Sun Guide and take ten." Jack said, "I'll go...I concede, I lost.""Game two." Charlie said. Two shuffles and a deck cut later game two proceeded with the same results as last time as Jack came in last place in the tournament.I sat down with Zarvaun to finish the tournament as we shuffled our decks, "Time to decide this, eh?" I said."Took long enough, Didn't it?" Zarvaun questioned sarcastically. "Let's get this over with."The sergal shuffled his deck longer than he probably needed to before flipping two dice towards the tiger. "Seven. Your roll.""Sure." I replied, rolling the dice back at the sergal. "Damnit," I swore, "Five.""Hey, no cuss words at the table. Friendly game here." Zarvaun said as he gave a sarcastic smirk to me."Oh hush, Shark Face." I snapped, shuffling my deck and presenting it to him, "Cut?""Sure, give me a knife." He replied. "Kidding." He added before diving up my deck and giving it a small cut in fourths."I have a twenty dollar card in here, smart one." I reminded him, "I don't even joke about that.""Here, cut me too, would ya? By the way, you'll be the first to go if you don't mind." The sergal continued."Sure." I sighed, "I'm tired, let's do this. Yuck, I mulligan. Ugh! I mulligan again! Five cards better work.""I sure hope so, I'm down to five as well." He said reshuffling and grabbing the cards."Forest, Font of Fertility, turn's yours." I said."Breeding pool, paying the two, tapping for Elixir of Immortality. All yours.""Plains, Aegis of the Gods. I have hexproof and the turn's yours.""Draw, pass." Zarvaun continued with a frown."Sure." I answered, "Mortal Obstinacy on the Aegis, swing for three.""Have to take. Done yet?""You bet.""I draw... And pass." He said with as sigh."One mana hand? Really Zarv?" I asked, "Okay, draw...""It's not like I asked for this hand.""Neither did I," I pointed out, "Sac the Font to fetch a Forest, swing three." I looked through my library for the card and saw it as the next card I would've drawn. "You've gotta be kidding me.""Nice one. Hurry up." Zarvaun said impatiently."I'm swinging for three, are you deaf?" I asked, "Done after that.""Oh, yeah. That," he replied as he turned his die to 12, "Jeez... Discard Divination. Your go.""And Zarv discards card draw. Ironic," I mused, "Draw. Observant Alseid. Swing for another three.""Nine. Done?""Of course.""Oh, I am so done with this-" the sergal flailed as he pulled the card. "Discard Supreme Verdict. Go, ugh.""That's a scary card," I passively commented as I drew, "I'm gonna get some chips from the pantry after this turn. Want any?""It's not scary if its in the graveyard. Anyway, sure, I'll take a bag. And a side of concentration juice, please.""Sarcasm kills, Shark Face," I reminded, "Anyway, Plains, Nylea's Emissary, swinging for five. What flavor chips?""Four flavor. I mean-""Why four?" I interrupted, getting up, "But no seriously.""Hmm... Hows about your nicest bag of salty potato crisps?""Fair enough. I'm done, by the way. And you're at four life," I called from the pantry, returning seconds later with a bag of Jacked Ranch Doritos and Lays, "Love me my spicy food.""Mhmm, sure," He continued as he drew a card, "Yes! Finally! A- land that comes in tapped... Damnit! Temple of Plenty.""Better than discard." I commented, "But you're dead less you have a Fog.""Fine, you win this one. Go ahead and shuffle for the next one.""Fair enough," I replied. And so we fought valiantly and it ended with me winning because Zarvaun forgot that he had the kraken emblem."You know," I sighed, "Your memory will do you in.""Eh, well. I've always had a bad memory. Gotta live in the moment, ya know?"

Zarvaun sighed...
