  • * * A new living. "O gods, o gods" were all the human could say under his breath, running trough the great forest not caring where he were or the fact he were lost, he only wanted to escape his pursuers. He kept running till his legs could not stand it anymore and forced him to stop. Clumsily walking towards a stone he sat down and tried to rest for a bit. Looking down on himself he noticed how badly he were, his heavy letter armor and shield was torn and raged from fighting, the sword were dulled in blood and his helmet were lost in the battle. Taking a deep breath, trying to regain some strength when he suddenly heard someone running towards him. Fear taking the human, he tried to run when a female half demon appeared, charging him. Unable to outrun the half demon, he spun around and raised his shield, the half demon running right into him. Because of the demonic blood in her wanes, she was much stronger than any human and the warrior were hawing problem with holding her claws away from him. She fought like a rabid animal and screamed so loud it almost sent him into panic, pushing him backwards when he quickly stabbed his sword into the demonic half-breed. Instantly, she felt silent and fell down to the ground, the human felt a stinging pain in his side, he noticed a deep cut in his armor and blood coming from the wound under it. Turning around to keep on the move he froze were he was standing when he saw a group of half demons in front of him. Before he new what to do a ball of demonic energy hit him, sending him flying into a three. Unable to move because of the dark energies cursing through his body, he saw a large half-breed walking toward him, his skin were black as ash, two small horns upon his head and almost claw like hands and feet. But the thing that caught his attention was the sword he carried, a blood drinker, a demonic weapon that drained anything for spiritual energies, making the owner more powerful. The monster looks down on the human and smiled cruelly. "I have been hunting you for some time now, at least your friends were easier to kill than you, so am going to enjoy this" The half demon raised his sword, the red markings beginning to glow to drain him for all of his energies. Staring upon the half-breed, he silently prayed for something, anything to save him. His hopes were crushed when he felt the blade pearsing his shoulder, a great pain followed by the feeling of fading away. Suddenly one of the smaller half-breeds yelled something but he was to weak to hear what it said when his vision failed, all he could see were shadows that were fighting each other. Suddenly the sword was pulled out, nearly cutting his arm, the pain instantly sending him into darkness. In the realm of dreams he dreamt of the fight earlier, the shadows fighting and fragments of words could be heard and for some reason he felt safe when suddenly he saw the half demon holding the demon sword running towards him. Suddenly he woke up frightened, breathing heavily, he noticed his surroundings were not of a familiar sight. Adjusting his eyes he could see he were inside a cave and someone had been taking care of his wounds. "It can't be humans living here?" "You are right, no one of your kind lives even near this place, and I believed you would be sleeping for a few more days after what you have been trough." Alarmed by the sudden voice, he instantly reached for his sword only to discover that somebody had taken it from him, finding himself defenseless. "Who. who are you?" "Tell me your name and I will tell you mine" Trying to gather some fate in himself he sat up. "I am William Longfellow, solder of the kingdom Durion" A moment's pause endured when the other spoke. "I am Crystal Spiritwind, shaman and alpha female of the moonlake tribe" She walked into the dim light inside the cave. The sight of her made Williams jaw drop, half demons were one thing but a wolftaur, a creature humans believed only to live in story's that mothers told there children at the bed and now, a weary alive one were standing in front of him. Crystal walked towards William smiling. "You want to keep your mouth closed, or else your going to drool on yourself" Quickly closing his mouth, William blushed feeling silly. "I'm sorry, I just never..." "It's alright, maybe you should rest some more and regain your strength, after all you were nearly dead physically and spiritually when we found you" Felling rather exhausted William nodded to crystal lied down to sleep. Crystal walked out of the cave to talk to her mate about William. She nearly got outside when a male wolftaur stepped in front of her. "How is the human?" "His name is William and he is doing much better now, I did not expect him to heal so fast" "Some of them are stronger than others of their kind so you don't have to worry so much about him now" Crystal smiled to the other wolftaur, walking up beside him. "I now, you did a good-hearted thing to save him, but what will happen to him Grayfang?" Crystal said in a curios tone. Grayfang looks into the darkness of the forest before he said. "He... William will be safe... ...for now" * * *
