( hey guys sorry for the long wait i had loads of crap going on so i never had time to do the first 3 chapters but here is the first one anyway which tells the background of the story i hope you will like it and sorry for the spelling mistakes if there is any and this is not all the characters that will b in the story just the ones for the first couple of chapters hope u all enjoy reading :) )

#1 into oblivion prologue
** Synopsis:**
The galaxy around the planet earthena is at war with the outer rim planets who are trying to take control of the main galactic travel and trade routes. The war has been going for several years and slowly the more and more planets are falling under control of the imperial army, although the war has not got the pace it did when the first planets fell many planets are still fighting the imperial army on the surface of their home worlds and trying to keep their influence away from their populations.
The planet kobal is slowly increasing its grip on the galaxy with untold destruction to planets that don't surrender though when hears of 5 children with rare gifts which have thought to be lost to the universe they decide to track them down and use their power to create an unstoppable army which will rule the galaxy in the way the grand master sees fit.
Background information on the galaxy:
The planet Kobal is the main stronghold for the imperial army and is covered mainly with water but which has 2 large city's built rising from the water and which wants complete control of the galaxy so they can use its vast resources to go and search for the planet oblivion and try to bring back the grand master to control all their home world and capture the inner worlds who have yet to be touched in the galactic war and which have the great temples used for the protection of magic and magical beings.
The planet earthena is mainly covered in forests but has 5 large cities, elderground the largest city on the planet has lots of Neolithic features throughout its streets the city's residents are a mixture or races from all across the galaxy but the main population is dogs, the city has been around since the first era of space travel and the planets spaceport is seen as the gateway to the rest of the universe and the first planet to join the galactic trade route.
The planet iris was thought to be among the first planets to fall into the empires hands during the first months of the war, the planet is a small moon world but has been teraformed into a dwarf planet during the birth of the galactic, although a moon it is known to the council, inhabitants and traders as a dwarf planet.
It was a small outpost moon just used to refuel ships before going out to find new planets until a small group of explorers found a herb that has good healing qualities, the planet was soon teraformed and then the plant called Themis was cultivated and sold to travelers and shipped off and sold across all worlds to heal the sick.
The planet has one large city from which is surrounded but fields of golden grain which sways in the breeze the buildings are made of glass and brightly polished steel which reflects the grain fields so the city looks as if it is rising out of the golden ground.
All the different types of animals are anthropomorphised beings
Main plot
This is a story of a young fox that lives on the planet earthena, the young fox receives a letter welcoming him into the prestigious nightfall academy which trains mages, pilots, and sorcerers. They train them for the defence of the planet and to finally bring peace to the galaxy after years of fighting between the inner planets, obsidian enters the academy but unknown to him he has set a chain of events off which he must prepare for his story will lead him around the galaxy trying to stop the incoming storm which is the war from reaching the planet earthena and although he is overwhelmed with the task at hand he never think that he will fall in love or will he?
The general for the imperial army of kobal hears about the young mage and plans to use his power to conquer earthena and to control the temple of the divines which is the planets main source of the healing crystals for the galaxy.
Inside the temple of the divines the crystals are used to heal the wounded and is transported to every planet so that its citizens do not die or get overcome with diseases
Characters
Obsidian black is a young gay 6ft tall fox who has rich glossy black fur that covers his body except for his sides where there is a stripe of pearl white fur on both his sides which resembles a lightning strike with a fierce fiery red outline, his chest, stomach and sheath were a pearl white to, His hair is short but covers his ears and wisps around to the front which has an emo looking fringe which is styled and held into place with hairspray and his eyes are a dark brown but have slight hints of green in them.
Obsidian wears a pair of black skinny jeans which fit snugly around his figure a light blue shirt with white collar and cuffs with a red tie tied up and a purple hoodie which he is wearing but is undone.
Even though he thinks that he is not good enough for anyone and always feels like he is on the outside he holds himself upright and try's to portray himself as confident.
Jacob nightingale is a young gay 5ft 9in fox with a matt black fur and white stomach and sheath he has bright blue eyes which always look like they are glowing, his hair is slightly shorter than mid-length and black with bright green tips and although his hair may seem messy he styles it so that it has volume and looks like it has some depth to it instead of being flat and boring.
He wears dark navy blue suit trousers with a white shirt and a black skinny tie which is done up and a grey waist coat and a dark navy blue tight fitting suit jacket
He has just got into the academy as a young environmental mage (which means that he can control many different types of weather) but is still unable to control them very well so because it is a very rare mage power to have the academy has taken him in to help him learn how to control them and because an ancient script tells the 4 grand masters that 2 young foxes with strange but rare powers will either come to them or they will find them and that they can change the galaxy to be in peace and harmony
The 4 main academy masters:
Master alpha -
a male lion with golden orange and yellow fur with a scar across his left eye, he is 6ft 5in tall he wears a long blue robe witch is enchanted to give him extra stamina in battle and reacts with the blue robe giving It a green aura whenever the robe is moving.
Master alpha is called Leon the protector after he was the sole survivor from the temple of the divines on the planet caprica in the outer rim when it was attacked.
He fought against the army trying to take the temple and use its power against the inhabitants of the planet He was the last one to leave the temple after holding it from the forces until the last moment when all the other temples guards and followers who fought alongside him fell whilst defending the temple.
He escaped with his life but when he got to the academy he learnt that his fellow friends that had tried to escape when the attack started had died when their transport vessel had been fired upon when it left the planet
Master beta-
: a middle aged female cat who is 5ft 7in tall and who has grey glossy fur and dark black paws she wears a long black robe with gold embroidered around the seams of the robe, the robe itself has a flickering blue enchantment glowing around it during battle which helps her focus and use the elemental power of water.
Her name is Sahara, she was taken in by the academy from a young age because she showed great power with the water element and though it is such a rare power the academy trained her and whilst she grew up knowing that she would once fight to save all the she knows and holds true she did not believe that such a planet as kobold possessed such a power to rival the strength of the inner worlds and disrupt the peace.
She fought at the fall of Pegasus a small world on the outer rim where some of the trade routes joined and traded with the surrounding worlds before the started the journey to the inner galactic worlds, although the battle lasted 6 months and both sides had suffered high casualty rates a message was intercepted on the last days of the siege which was an order to start a planet wide missile barrage from above the planet.
The last days were spent trying to evacuate all the populations of cities and towns that were still standing and not yet under attack Sahara helped get as many people off the planet whilst protecting certain key points along there retreat although when the barrage started many cities and towns were still evacuating and when Sahara was on a transport off the planet she watched as each city and town was engulfed in flames and carnage.
She still sees all the faces she couldn't save and still wishes she would have saved more people if they had got the message sooner.
Master omega-
A 31 year old 5ft tall husky called Vladimir with light brown fur with a dark brown stomach and tail with black paws, he wears a red robe which flickers in the light because he is a fire element. Originally from earthena but traveled with the battle cruiser starlight before the start of the war in scouting out new trade routes and seeking new planets.
A new master to the academy he fought in the start of the war on a battle cruiser alongside master delta they were traveling to a nearby planet who was reporting that they were coming under attack but as soon as they got there the planet was in flames.
The battle cruiser came under attack from 3 enemy cruisers waiting to ambush them when they came out of light speed both masters used their powers to turn the tide of the fierce battle which was going on but to no avail master delta had just enough time to cloak the battle cruiser to make it hidden to the other vessels before they had taken out both engines making them unable to escape.
After limping home to earthena he joined the academy and became a master to teach the sorcerers, mages and pilots the tactics the enemy used to fool them and ways they can use a disadvantage and turn it into an advantage for them.
Master delta-
An old 4ft fox with dark black fur except for bright white fur on his stomach and around his eyes although many call him a panda because of the eyes, his name is Lucius he wears a white robe which can be turned see-through to make him hidden when he desires.
Although he is over 100 years old people say he has fought to keep peace with all the planets and is usually seen visiting planets to aid trade negations or to talk with parliaments on different planets to get their views on different political happenings in the galaxy.
He was on the battle cruiser starlight with master omega coming back from trade negotiations on a nearby planet when the received a distress call for assistance to report to a planet not far from them to see if the reports that they were under attack were true and if they were they would give aid to them, unfortunately they were and though the planet was lost when they got there the master had to use his mind reflex powers to disguise the cruiser so there ship could limp away after it was far to damaged to carry on the fight, after he uses this and they get away he is exhausted and cannot help the ship until he rests but they got back to earthena in short time and he when he was rested he reported to the high council and told them that their fears were true that a war has started and that it would need swift action to slow them down so they could defend the inner planets.
(other characters will be introduced throughout the story but these are the main characters for the first couple of chapters)
Prologue: the story begins
The city's guard was holding back the imperial army from entering the inner walls whilst the last of the civilians got onto the spaceships to try and escape the unfurling horror in front of them, the once golden panes of glass and steel were now shattering and crashing down through the town and engulfing the streets in fire.
The once golden fields were now full of imperial war cannons and men trying to force their way into the city to plunder and grab all of the magical powers it processes, each cannon fires a hot smouldering projectile into the city either smashing through panes of glass from the buildings or through the city's defenses making the final assault into the heart or the city easier.
A lone elderly scribe stands looking out among the unfurling destruction from the top of the city's council chambers , a tear falls from his eye as he sees the people he once knew get slaughtered for a mindless cause.
He turns from the horror and starts walking towards his chamber doors with his robes blowing in the wind and the embers of the city below slowly filling the small walkway he thinks sighs standing at the door where the other members are convening to talk about how to protect the city, he turns to looks at the city one last time and whispers
"May god forgive me for what I am about to do and May he protect the souls of the people who were lucky to escape"
Once the final words slip of his tongue the elderly scribe turns back around and places his hand on the large black marble door and pushes it open.
The door opens to a room with 8 of the senior council members talking and arguing about how to save the city from destruction, as soon as the door is fully open all the council members turn around to glance at the elderly scribe who looks at them with a heavy heart.
The elderly man slowly walks down the while polished marble stairs to the member below to convey his opinion, although he knows that he will not be listened to or have his idea taken seriously he knows deep down in his heart that it is the only way to stop the suffering and slow down the progress of the imperial army so that hopefully another planet may have time to prepare or evacuate their planet so that their citizens may live.
"My fellow members as you know the outlook for the city is very grim at the moment"
He arrives at the bottom of the stairs and pauses to catch his breath and to thing about how he can word his proposal the other council members, a short pause later and he gets the courage to carry on.
"It pains me to see the people of this once proud nation run in fear from those who seek to murder and wage war against the people who will not join there lost cause to take over the planets and raise an army to attack the inner planets of this galaxy"
He pauses yet again feeling weakened by the thought that the next words which will come out of his mouth will be the final nail in the city's coffin.
The other council members walk closer to their elderly man to hear what he has to say, a young wolf page with black fur and red eyes walks up to the elderly man and holds out a golden chalice full of water and looks into the eyes elderly man.
"Sir please drink this and catches your breath, you cannot walk as freely as you once did and your heart is not in good condition"
The elderly man looks down at the young page and knocks the chalice out of his hands, this in turn makes the page fall sideways and looks up at him in fear that the elderly man may strike him for speaking out of place.
"You dare speak to me about my health my suffering when my people my friends are being killed" the man bellows out with a deep voice
"I care not for myself I want my people to have a chance of escape a chance to get away from these people before they end up among the ashes of this city"
His voice fills all corners of the small pale white marble room the members look on at both of them with both concern for the elderly man and for the young wolf propped up on the floor by his small arms and paws.
"My heart is with the people it is the people I feel every soul perish"
The man turns away from the members and the young wolf as a tear flows down his cheek and slowly walks over to w mahogany table and crashes his hands into the firm wooden table top.
"my city lays in ruins my people scattered, running for their live, as long as I have blood in my veins and my heart is beating I will not let these bastards claim this city for their own, even if I am the last man alive I will give my life so to protect the powers within these walls"
A middle ages lizard walks toward the elderly man his robes light blue dragging behind him as each step he takes he slows and thinks over the words which he will speak.
"Sir calm yourself the young wolf did not mean to speak out or aggression or doubt in your leadership he simply wanted to say they you need to sit down and rest before you tell us how we should proceed with things"
The lizard waited to be shouted at but as the few seconds passed after the last words left his mouth all he could think about is how they could save the city and the last few people trying to leave for safety, the sounds of nearby projectiles hitting buildings and crashing through windows was all the members could hear in the silence whilst waiting for a response.
The elderly man turned around and looked at each members face as if to see it for one last time, he knew what he must do and he didn't want his temper to get the better of him especially when he knew that the young wolf did not mean any harm he just meant to show some kindness throughout this terrible time.
The elderly man walked to the young wolf and held out his hand
"I did not mean to knock you over and I did not mean for those words either young wolf, this is indeed a very hard time to keep all our emotions in check and to be able to try and work around this situation that we find our people in"
The elderly man pulls up the young wolf whilst still looking in his eyes
"Please forgive me my actions were rash and out of character"
The young wolf looks into the elderly man's eyes and replies
"You do not need to apologize sir, your emotions show just how much pain this situation is bringing to you and how closely you feel you are to the inner workings of city"
The young wolf then lets go of the elderly man's hand and bows then steps away to the rest of the room of councillors so that the man can continue with what he was going to say.
The elderly man watches as the wolf walks away then turns back to face the rest of the group
"I know what we must do to ensure that our people will get the best chance of escape before they send a battle cruiser"
He lets out a sigh and feels his heart starting to beat irregularly; he knows that this will be his final act as the city's protector and scribe.
"you all must leave in the last ship I will send a call out to all the troops to leave their positions and escape the planet by whatever means and if they are lucky enough to do so protect our people and let our planet still light up the night sky with the story's and wonders which use to happen here"
He catches his breath and lets out another sigh before continuing.
"I will detonate the gamma burst emitter which was used when the moon was first starting to be teraformed, if I can get down to the lower levels of the vault I should be able to use the device to channel its power into its self thus creating a singularity and using that to destroy the planet and our enemy's in one single swipe"
The elderly man slowly reaches for his heart and places his hand over it to try and calm him and the beating down, although he know he is slowly dying he wants to give the planet one last Farwell before he goes.
"But you can't be serious" another council member says looking increasingly worried about the elderly man "we can't do that to the planet we need to stick together and find a place to make a fresh assault against them" the man walks away from the rest pondering his thoughts even though he knows that the best course of action is the one that he will regret making
"We must do this, our people need to survive that need to get away from the planet and have time to hide among the stars and to warn other planets of what is happening and of our people sacrifice"
All the council member nod their head even though they all know it shouldn't be done unless all hope was lost and that all options were talked through and dismissed for either being too late to implement or too much rick involved for the rest of the galaxy the one thing they all knew was that if the imperial army got the gamma burst emitter they could turn its power against other planets or start to change the device so they could hold worlds at ransom unless they joined their cause.
The elderly man sighed and started walking towards a large wooden bookcase, he looked at all the old text books which date from when the first people came across the moon to when they started building the great glass city.
"These books have been passed down to every head of the council since the first brick was laid, I wish I didn't have to see our great city and our peoples heritage end this way but it is the way the gods decided"
The old man picks up the books and walks over to the table to which he places the old books in a pile
"You all must take a book and then with each book I will pass you a holicron of the remaining history of our people, you must take these to each of your representative planets so that our history will live on even thou the planet itself would be sacrificed to help the peoples and furs of the other worlds in this galaxy survive"
As the old man finishes his speech each council member comes up to the table where the books are laid across its surface with all the covers from the ages showing the wear and tear over the thousands of years they have been kept, they each pick up a book and the walk to the old man and tell him what time frame the book has and then the old man passes them a holicron with the remaining history embedded into its chip so that they have all the history from birth to the last moments before the left the planet.
After they each get the book s and holicron they all gather back by the old man to prey for his health in the final moments of the planet before they depart
(All the council members)
"let the gods guide you safely to your journeys end, let them look over you and protect you until you are alongside them, may the gods grant your soul eternal life and happiness after you pass through to the afterlife and may our people know of the sacrifice you have taken so that other worlds will have time to prepare for the imperial army's attacks and may many lives be saved by your actions, bless the divines and gods, amen"
Each of the council members hold up their arms and send forth there prayer to the gods so that they will bless the old man and aid him on his journey, the old man looks at each one for one last time with a small tear forming then rolling down his wrinkled cheek and slowly dropping off onto his robes.
"Goodbye and bless you all and have a safe journey to your planets that you are going to may the gods bless you too"
After that each member of the council apart from the young fox walks towards the large ebony doors of the chamber and pause taking in the last aroma, sounds and look of the chamber for the last time before pulling on the doors golden dragon shaped handles to open it.
The last council members walk through the opening of the door before closing it and leaving the young wolf and the old man alone with the sounds of projectiles and gun fire in the background.
The old man glances over to the young wolf that is stood looking a glowing blue cube which is displayed in its glass case, the old man slowly walks over to the young fox and stands next to him.
"Why did you stay? I thought that you would leave with the other council members?"
"No one should face this task alone sir"
"Please let me accompany you for one last time"
The old man silently nods whilst turning away from the boy before heading to the ebony door with the young for following behind,
As they are walking through one of the corridors before the hidden staircase which will lead them down to the device they stop to glance at a small painting on the wall which depicts the first glass panel for the city being placed into position.
"I wish I was there that day"
The old man said whilst looking at the painting taking in each detail and each brush stroke
"To see the beginnings of the great city being build and to see the first drawing and plans of the city would be a very blessed sight to see indeed"
The young fox looks at the old man before a sudden image flights through his brain and stops him from speaking, instead he falls to the floor and puts his hands over his head, the old man suddenly realizes and looks down towards the fox and looks concerned.
"What's the matter young one does these images make you fear something or make you think of something else"
The young fox looks up and finally is able to clear his mind
"I'm sorry sir I don't know what came over me I suddenly have these images of the city in ruins around us and us walking through this same corridor but then I saw a large flaming projectile coming through the glass and shattering one of the pillars next to us and trapping us there so we can't continue on"
The young fox catches his breath before looking once more at the old man
"Look it may seem like nothing to you but I think that you have answered my suspicions about you, I think that you can momentarily glance into the future and you might also be able to stop time for a while"
"But how I don't understand" the young fox answers looking confused and concerned at the same time
"What I mean is that you have a very unique gift that has been bestowed upon you, you will be able to see things before they happen and you might be able to stop time as well, you see there was only one other person in our planets history that has the gift been bestowed upon someone"
"But why me, I mean I'm just an ordinary fox"
"It's not who you are at the moment it's who you will become when the power grows inside you and you learn to control it more, you see the first person was our founder of the planet so to speak he was the first one to land here and to decide to make this planet what it has become today"
The old man slowly slides himself down the wall and sits next to the young wolf to tell him more about the gift he has
"you see it is said that he was given the gift when his ship was attacked and he prayed to the gods to save the souls of the injured men and women on his ship, the gods heard his words and gave him the chance to save them all as they saw that he had a kind soul and that he had offered his ship to take injured people to a nearby planet to get healed of the injuries"
The young wolf gazed intently into the old man's eyes listening to every word which slipped off his tongue and seeing how the gift that he has been given by either the gods or something else can be used and what happened to the founder/man who first landed on the planet and decided to make it into the city it is today
"the moment the gods knew he was the right fur to bestow the gift to because no matter what he would do everything he could to save those people on his ship, so the male fur suddenly got images of his ship being blasted out of the sky by a scavenger ship for its parts then the images changed towards a woman standing in front of him before pointing to a small moon where they could hide. The man did not know what these meant but he chose to follow them and suddenly ordered the ship to descend onto the small moon, once there another image scattered itself throughout his mind its showed a small group of injured women suddenly being trapped by a falling wall in quarters at the back of the ship then a pipe being burst and then being engulfed in flames, the male fur shook the images from his mind and ran to the back of the ship, as he neared the quarters that he saw he heard the screams and ran to the door when he saw a small crack in the door with women trying to prise it open, he rushed to stand by the door and started forcing it open with all his strength.as the door opened the women ran out and the fur helped on woman as she was struggling to breath just then he heard the pipe crack and engulf the room inflame but as he suddenly closed his eyes from the blast he began to get a strange feeling throughout his body and initially thought it was the flames but when he realised that his fur was not on fire he opened his eyes to see that time had been frozen and that he could see each strand of flame about to hit the woman so without a moments notice he moved the woman out the room and sealed the door with him on the other side in the corridor and then time unfroze and he then realised what he had done"
"But sir why did he still go and do those things if he only just got the power/gift I mean wouldn't he have just mistaken it for a fools hope or chance that something like that might work"
"he didn't realise what the gift was until he saved that woman, the scriptures from the time say the he was going to pass it of as an odd feeling but he knew that whatever chance he got he had to take to save the lives of the people on board, you see he trusted the feeling and then he let the feeling grab his soul so that he could let it help him save lives"
"Since the first time he got the powers he devoted his life to the people and the moon that he landed on he claimed for the gods and stated to terraform the moon so it was a planet so that the people could come to it and prosper, and he said that one day after he is long gone the gift will be given to someone who the gods think will do great things and will shape entire planets destiny's"
The young fox sat quietly for a moment pondering the story and how the powers influenced the events in the past, his mind kept changing between why he was chosen and why the gods haven't given the powers to anyone since the founder's death
"Come we must move now young one we have to get to the room soon before the walls are breached"
The old man stands up and starts slowly walking along the long corridor
"WAIT"
The young fox cries out before he hears a loud crash of glass, he opens his eyes and sees that time itself had frozen like it said in the story of the past so the fox rushed to the old man pushed the glass shards what were about to come into contact with the man's skin away and picks up the man before glancing back and seeing the projectile and glass which had been smashed surrounded in flames which were starting to now slowly dance across the opening it had created
"Times slowly starting again, but how did I stop it?"
The wolf pondered before he pushed those thoughts from his mind and starts slowly walking away from the part of the corridor which will soon be engulfed in flame when time starts moving fluidly again
Each paw step he takes he can feel the old man's body sink further into his arms as they both get clear from the corridor and stand behind a white marble pillar, as soon as the wolfs paws place the man down behind the pillar the projectile, glass and fire impact the pillar which was now further away from them. The fox could hear each shard break, the pillar started to crumble from the impact of the projectile and then saw the dust come from the impact, he was suddenly surrounded in the dust witch hung thick in the air and he couldn't see where he was going or stood anymore.
A small breeze swept across the corridor and cleared the dust away slightly the old man regained his composure from where he was placed by the fox and stood up to look over at the dust covered fox
"How did you move me? And I guess I should thank you for saving my life a couple of seconds longer and I would of not been able to stand here talking to you"
"you don't need to thank me sir it was the least that I could do in your time of need but I don't understand how I did it I mean one moment we were talking next I saw the projectile come through the glass and closed my eyes then I opened them to see all time had stopped"
"Well thank the gods that they gave you the gift young fox now shall we continue, I have a feeling that the walls will be breached before long so we must hurry"
Both the dust covered fox and the old man started walking through rest of the corridor when another projectile smashes through the golden glass and into another pillar which shatters before them sending debris forward
"You go ahead sir I will keep you safe as long as you get to the chamber you will be safe"
As soon as the young fox finishes his sentence he turns around and sees a flaming projectile coming towards him and quickly summons his magic and swipes It out of his way so it crashes into the wall and out of harm's way, more and more projectiles start hitting the corridor that both of them are in the young fox keeps using his magic and swiping the projectiles, large marble pieces from the crumbling pillars and various sizes of glass shards, he protects the old man whilst they move throughout the rest of the corridor as projectile after projectile smash through the glass erupting in flame.
As they reach the end of the walk way the young fox pushes the large black ebony doors open so that the old man can get through before he closes it behind him
"Thank you I did not think you had the magical abilities to do such a thing thou I shouldn't really underestimate you and your powers after all you have done"
The young fox stands still with his paws on the hips trying to catch his breath his fur on his top brow bathed in sweat from the work and use of magic to protect the old man
"You don't have to thank me sir"
The fox says whilst panting
"its funny how everyone use to call me the protector because I would always try to help out anyone in need but I never thought of the meaning it the time but now I look back after just now I realise that it does have some correlation between me being here and wanting to help you before we finish the task ahead of us, it does help thou that I can keep my mind clear in hectic situations and then make judgements so that I can get myself or someone else in danger to safety"
"They called you a protector?"
"Yes I don't still know why thou but I guess I always go out of my way to help people in need"
The old man looks at the fox astonished that the prophecy of his people might actually be true, he had always thought that it was just a story passed down the years because the last so called "protector" was killed 600 years ago and there hasn't been one since
The old man takes off a silver chain with a blue sapphire encrusted with golden leaves around the sides and places it in the foxes hand
"Here hold this and listen to what I tell you when we get into the devices room"
They start walking to a small bookcase which looks real but the old man pulls one book slightly and a passage way opens up, they both walk inside and the young fox realises that it is an elevator as they both get into it the doors close and they start plummeting downwards to the chamber where the device is kept
As the elevator stopped the doors slowly opened to reveal a small dusty room with a large glowing object in the middle of the room covered in blankets and dust, they both walked slowly into the unlit room knowing that no one had entered it for the last 20 years
The old man clapped his hands and 8 small spheres of light appeared around the room lighting the once darkened areas of the room
The old man walks towards the dusty sheet covering the device and begins to drag them off, the young fox looks at each aspect of the room taking in every detail that he can whilst trying not to breathe in a large plume of dust that is coming off the covers.
"Ah here it is"
Said the old man as he pulled off the last of the covers and the device comes into full view of them both, the young fox look in amazement that he never knew it was here or that the room even existed. He walks slowly to the device and looks over its glimmering silver cover and bright purple tubes that go in and out of the main chamber of the device, he glances across to the centre console which is covered in green buttons with symbols that seem strange to him but the fox thinks nothing of it
"now if I remember from what I was told you enter the final command here and then you press the blue switch on the left to start the sequence and then it should only take a couple of minutes to turn into a singularity"
The old man walks to the controls and starts typing the command for the device to unlock it then he starts preparing each part for the device to start to create the singularity
"Now come here and listen to me carefully ok you need to remember all that has happened here"
"Yes sir"
The young wolf replied
"Now take the silver chain with the sapphire on it and put it around your neck"
The young wolf opens his paw which he had held closed since the old man gave him the object and placed it around his neck trying not to get his fur tangled up in the process
"Now take these"
The old man opened a hidden draw near the device and pulls out 2 scrolls which look in rather good condition even thou they are hundreds of years undisturbed, he passes the scrolls over to the young wolf who hold his paws out open so that he can hold them
"Now the necklace will make you feel sleepy soon but it will protect you and you will not be harmed by anyone or anything until you arrive at the chosen planet, you will wake up before you enter the planets lower atmosphere, you will land softly so don't worry about that now after you get up you must find master alpha this is important and you must find him and give these scroll's to him and he will know what it means and what has been done"
The old man pauses to catch his breath and then looks at his old shaky hands to try and calm himself down, he notices a small gold ring across one of his fingers and slowly slips it off and holds it in his hand
"Why would I feel tired?"
*yawn*
The young fox slowly falls down and curls into a ball and then a diamond sphere starts to form around where his body lies, the old man clutches his heart as it beat starts to slow, a small tear rolls off his eye lid and drops onto the bod of the young wolf who if now fully asleep he kneels and places the small gold ring that he clutched in his hand onto the wolfs paw and then closes it
"as darkness falls across our planet, when the ones we love fall to their death, a star is born and will shine across the sky and bring hope to all who gaze upon is beauty, it may take a while for the star to find its destination but when it arrives all who have seen it will gain the strength to fight against the darkness and once more bring light back into the universe"
The diamond sphere finally closes up and the old man looks upon its beauty and sheds one last tear and sits down as purple beams of light are emitted from the machine
The sphere rises up and the old man speaks his last words before the device explodes and creates the singularity and consumes the planet with the last of his race on and destroys the imperial army that was trying to breach his city walls
"Rise star and bring hope to us all and the universe"
With his last words spoken it rises through all the floors above them until it reaches the top of the building before going supersonic through the atmosphere and leaves the planet behind
As soon as the sphere now star leaves the planet a singularity forms on the surface and slowly grows across the planet pulling in everything in its path, as soon as it gets to the edge of the planet it lets out a blinding flash of light to all who sees it before the reaction ceases and there is nothing but a few lumps of rock where the planet use to be
As the reaction started an imperial battle cruiser enters the system and witnesses the unfolding events but does not see the star escape from the planet
One imperial officer walks across the bridge to the a window to glance at the unfolding events with the planet, he raises his hand to his chin and looks down for a moment deep in thought then glances back to the planet through the window
"What in the 9 hells has happened here, we sent them here to take the planet not destroy it"
He looks down once again to think about what he should do next
After a short while he glances across the bridge to his navigation officer to plan the next course of action
"Leroy how far away are we from the base ship"
The young reptilian who stands 5ft 11in and is wearing a long black robe turns around to look at the charts laid out in front of him
"Sir we should be within jump distance but what shall we tell them when we arrive back there early and with nothing to show for it"
The man looks into the reptilians eyes and speaks and a clam tone
"you let me deal with that, heck I don't know what to say we only just got here and we don't know what has happened"
The young reptilian breaks eye contact and looks at the charts once again and then back to the captain
"We would send out a science team to see what caused the planet to implode or we could just use the free time to rest before we head back and then tell them what the planet was gone when we got here but in the debris form it all our engines failed and we needed to repair them"
"yes that sounds plausible, Tyson order them men to get some rack time before we head back then need the rest"
Tyson and older human in grey clothes and a black beret slanted to onside of his face, he has one scar across his cheek and a metallic plate across the left side of his chin up to his eye socket. The metal plate resulted from a blast on a previous ship before the war started and the surgeons had to use metal composites to reconstruct his jaw cheek and eye socket after a missile exploded near the compartment he was in and embedded shrapnel in his face, most of the other officers think that he looks more like an android then human after the countless injuries he has had during his time in service.
"yes sir, men rest easy, get some rack time and some chow before we head back to the base ship"
