After the cannons are formed from the biometal, they go towards the main staging area, to meet with the rest of the group, who are also geared up and ready. All of them, except sera, appear to be present. Liz is also there, with a plasma cannon, similar to the ones on the G22 raptors.

"I see you three were busy playing with the old toys" liz comments, seeing them arrive.

"supposed to be a test run, but now, its just a run" hades answers, seeing peeta and tamerus in basic reaction armour, and carrying battle axes. "be careful with those. They cut easier than a hot knife in butter"

"are we the only ones that are fighting? Just the six of us?" peeta asks, see the other squads slowly drift away, back to what they were doing.

"They know we can handle it. But if you notice behind you, that's a titan mech. Built for these battles. Controlling it is gamma squad. Liz, tell them com station 3" hades answers.

As liz runs off towards the mech, a dropship comes down to pick up the combat crew. A gunship follows it closely, angling to allow the titan to grab onto specially built handles.

"this is it folks, time to get to work" hades comments, walking his suit under a heavy duty dropship, while raikes, delta, liz, peeta and tamerus go to another one.

"that everyone sir" the pilot asks, turning around to see.

"yes. Get us in the air, and to the invasion camp. We'll surprise them with a welcome wagon" hades commands, checking the coordinates.

"yes sir. Todays invasion camp is 45G. ring any bells?" the co-pilot says, checking the data.

"that's my old training camp. This will be fun for us" hades tells the co-pilot. He turns to the rest of the group and brings up a map. "45G has many artillery embankments we can use for long distance bombardment from you two," points at raikes and delta, "it also has a few sniper locations, but they might already control them, so we need them removed. That task falls upon peeta and tamerus. Now, ill be main target, as im the largest, and easier to hit. They might also have some old G22's, that they might use to distract you guys into fighting them, and that is what we need them to think what we aren't going to do. Once the G22's are down, move here, and wait for me to blow up the com array. Liz, youll take the commander alive, and meet up with the dropship here" hades finishes, pointing to the drop zone.

"sounds easy enough. Just one problem, why the uncertainty?" delta asks. "I thought your group were good at getting info."

"we are, just not with this level of resistance" hades answers.

"2 minutes to landing" the pilot advises.

"ok, you know what your to do, do it. Any problems, call up on the com unit, and ill provide help" hades adds, as the door opens up and they see soldiers waiting for them, wearing the delta symbol.

"sir, we were told to come here to help you. We brought some of your BM tanks" the nearest soldier states, saluting.

"good, use those to bombard their defence cannons from that ridge on the right" hades responds, returning the salute.

"right away sir" the soldier acknowledges, and goes towards the tanks and other artillery.

"change in plan, you guys stick with me, and watch my back. If you need to hide, tell me, and ill find somewhere" hades says, turning to delta and raikes.

"ok. And if we need to, we could be on top of your suit, and fire from up there, pursue the enemy raptors when they show up, and then hide with the artillery" delta replies, turning his suit into a faster raptor form.

"that might work. And the G22 can't change while moving" hades comments, seeing delta change shape.

As a bullet flies past raikes, delta jumps up onto hades' back, and returns a volley of plasma shots to the sniper. Raikes jumps up, and almost over, but delta swings the tail and catches raikes.

"you ok?" delta asks, worry in his voice.

"yeah, im fine. Ok hades, we are ready" raikes says, looking at the battle ground, covered in mostly dead delta squad back up soldiers.

"and to think they are our back up. Ok you two, youll be my spotters. One shot at any sniper post for peeta and tamerus to locate" hades says, as he thunders through the undergrowth, towards the radar dish.

While delta, hades and raikes move away, peeta and tamerus take a crash course in sniping from sarah, another delta squad commando.

"now, you only have five seconds before the glint in the scope catches their eye. When that happens, you have another 3 seconds until they turn and fire" sarah says, showing them the rifle they are going to use.

"we aren't that fats or accurate. Can you be on standby in case we are fired upon?" peeta asks.

"yeah. Ill be somewhere on your left, so raise your left hand slightly, if you need a distraction shot. Right hand if your guns jammed, lower your head if your out of ammo" sarah answers.

"peeta, you think you can get those shots in time?" liz asks.

"I hope so, if not, we have a back-up sniper" peeta answers.

"peeta, lets do this" tamerus states, grabbing a sniper, and lying down, and turns off the safety.

Peeta grabs the other sniper and does the same as tamerus, but a bit further down the ridge. Sarah rolls the rifle strap off her shoulder and grabs the hand grip before the rifle hits the ground, switches off the safety, and jumps up to a higher position, using a shadow manipulation shroud to hide her actions from the enemy.

"so, she controls the shadows. I wonder which one of us can use that too" peeta states, thinking of everyone that's alive.

"maybe its sera. She hasn't been real happy in the day time, and she never sleeps" tamerus replies, knowing it wasn't a question.

A crackle is heard from the rifles in their hands, and sarah is heard from a speaker in the shoulder stock.

"boys, get ready, raikes has spoteed a sniper, and is marking his location" sarah commands, watching through binoculars.

"I see him" peeta states, aiming his rifle.

"remember to account for wind speeds as well. Watch anything that can be affected by winds" sarah reminds him.

"ok" peeta responds.

As peeta aims the rifle, another shot is heard, and the ground near tamerus puts out dust, marking a bullet shot at him.

"tamerus, move now. He has a bolt action rifle, and its jamming up. Peeta, take the shot" sarah orders.

As peeta pulls the trigger, tamerus jumps up and runs towards some rocks and hides there. Sarah turns to the next sniper, and sees that his rifle is aimed at peeta, and knows he has no time to react. She drops the binoculars, and puts her eye to the scope, and shoots the sniper.

"what the hell?" peeta exclaims, seeing the guy drop.

"sorry, he had you in the sights, and you wouldn't have reacted fast enough" sarah responds.

Meanwhile, raikes and delta spot the enemy raptors, and they jump off hades' suit, and give chase.

"raikes, branch off, and use the nearby valley to flank them. Delta, keep on their tail" hades commands, watching them on a screen, while firing at the main radar dish.

"yep. I take the right valley?" raikes asks, looking up ahead.

"yes. Then stay on the left wall, and that should bring you out ahead of them, forcing them to stop, if they don't stop at the sight of you, shoot the boulders behind to close off the canyon" hades answers.

"ok. Taking valley path now" raikes responds, veering to the right, and eventually out of sight from delta.

Meanwhile, peeta and tamerus are confused as to why the snipers are shouting, and turning around, and firing at two raptors.

"those two raptors are delta and raikes. Take your time to take out the snipers. The armour plating will keep them safe" sarah states, watching the raptors.

As sarah says that, a bullet shreds through raikes' armour, and hits her leg, causing her to fall over. Delta suddenly turns around, and runs to the valley opening.

"delta, get back to the raptors. Don't let them take out the tanks" hades orders, watching the radar dish fall apart.

"I have to know if shes ok" delta replies, turning off the com unit.

As delta rounds a corner, he sees the armour, and slows to a stop.

"raikes?" delta asks, changing the armour back to human form, and puts the cannons aside, and reaches for raikes' hand.

"im fine. Just get those raptors" raikes answers, pain in her voice.

"im not leaving you" delta states, holding her hand.

Raikes changes the shape of the suit, and opens the face plate.

"you need to stop them before they destroy the tanks" she says, breathing heavily from the pain.

Hades is walking down the valley looking for delta and raikes, and sees the raptors still running to the tanks, past the ambush point.

"that's it, this kid is useless while in this state" he says to himself.

"sir, whats going on down there?" liz and sarah asks, at the same time.

"delta isn't the kid we are looking for. Get a medic down here immediately, and get them out of those suits. I don't need any more damage to them" hades answers, just as another raptor runs past, this time carrying cannons. "what the?"

Delta runs down the valley, pushing the suits max speed, and knocks down the two raptors, and shoots them. He then turns around, and hades notices that its not one suit, but two merged in one, with the second suit acting as a speed booster.

"wheres raikes?" hades asks, seeing the empty second suit.

"shes safe. No thanks to you" delta snaps back, and runs back the way he came.

"delta" hades calls, but delta doesn't respond, and keeps running.

Back in the valley, raikes is waiting inside a dead tree, when delta shows up. She smiles and winces as she tries to get up.

"don't move. Ill help you" delta says.

"ok. Just be careful. They are still fighting out there" raikes says, allowing delta to pick her up, and put her in the second suit, and it changes into a medical pod

"try to keep the trip as smooth as possible" raikes says, as delta starts running.

"ill try" delta responds as he jumps over a log.

When they get to the tanks, delta slows to a stop, and helps raikes out of the medical pod, and lies her down on a bed that liz had sent down in the dropship.

"what happened?" peeta asks, as he runs over.

"sniper bullet" sarah answers.

All heads turn to her.

"I didn't know where you were. All I saw was someone take a shot away from us" sarah says, defending herself.

"shes right. No one took the shot and is standing here" hades says, walking from the trees.

"so, who did?" delta asks, a dark look on his face.

"calm down" raikes says, reaching for delta's hand.

Delta swiftly takes off the medical pod, and starts running towards the forward command post controlled by the pirates.

"delta, no. your not experienced enough to take them head on" hades says, trying to stop him.

"no one can stop him now" raikes says, remembering the dark look.

At the command post, delta bursts through the door, and shoots at anyone who tries to stop him. He walks through, and looks for the commander. He finds him in the map room, overlooking the map that leads to the gates of hell. Delta walks up, and grabs the guy who looks in charge, and throws him at the far wall, using the suit to help with strength.

"who shot at the other raptor, and cutting through the leg?" he asks, anger and pain in his voice.

"I don't know what your talking about" the guy screams, not knowing how delta got in.

"of course not, all you did was order it to happen" delta says, flinging his arms into the air.

Delta then grabs the guy, and carries him to the dropship, and straps him in tight enough, that he couldn't move his arms. Delta then ran back to the tank emplacement.

"what happened? Wheres the commander?" hades asks, grabbing delta.

"hes heading to the gates hes dreamed of breaking down" delta replies, aiming a cannon at hades.

Hades lets go, and steps back. As raikes tries to stand up to stop him, she screams in pain and passes out, snapping delta back to himself. He drops to his knees beside her, and he straightens her body onto the bed, and prepares the medical pod for connection to the suit.

"im not letting you leave" hades says, trying to block delta from raikes, causing delta to re-aim the cannon at hades.

"your going to stop me from helping her?" delta asks, venom in his voice.

"if I must, to stop you from being foolish" hades replies, aiming his cannons at delta.

"if this ends in a fight, and you hit her, youll regret it" delta says, trying to get in front of raikes.

"stop it, both of you. Hades, youd do the same thing for sonya, so don't stop him from helping raikes" liz says, getting in between hades and raikes.

Delta takes his chance, and puts raikes in the medical pod, and starts running. Hades powers up the cannon, but liz stops him.

"let him go. He needs to calm down. He hasn't been in this situation before" liz says, looking back at peeta.

"I don't understand either. Im worried about both of them" peeta states.

As delta is running, the shaking wakes up raikes, who opens up the window, to see trees and logs flying past.

"delta?" raikes asks, causing delta to slow down.

"im here" delta responds.

"what happened to you?" raikes asks, worried.

"I don't know. But we are going to the dropship, and then Marrissa can help you" delta says. Raikes can hear the tears in his voice, knowing he didn't want this to happen.

"delta, they can help us too. You just need to let them" raikes says, reaching through the window for his hand.

Delta sees her arm, and holds it, trying to calm down from the whole days events. As they near the dropship, hades appears on the left, trying to keep up with delta.

"delta, you don't need to run off like that" hades says.

"what would you do in my position?" delta asks, not slowing down.

Hades goes quiet, and slows down, and turns back towards the soldiers that are running towards the dropship to retrieve their commander.

"take off, now" hades orders the pilot. The dropship slowly climbs, and leaves delta with only the option to jump. In the dropship, delta opens up the suit, and leaves it standing. He then goes to the medical pod, and opens it up.

"how are you feeling?" he asks raikes, a hand on her cheek.

"could be better" she replies, putting a hand on his.

"could you wait til im gone?" the commander asks, realising he was beat up by a teen.

they ignore him. When raikes goes to sleep, to ease the pain a little bit, delta straps her down, to prevent her from rolling onto her bad leg. When they near the palace hangar, delta puts the suit back on, being careful not to wake up raikes. When they land, delta escorts the commander to the guards, and then goes towards the hospital, using the translator to help him move around.

"no suits past this point" a security officer calls out, as delta goes to enter the hospital.

"you don't understand. Gunshot wound to the leg and this suit is helping me carry the wounded in question" delta replies, indicating to the medical pod.

"may I see the wounded person?" the guard asks, gun in hand in case of an ambush.

"of course, just drop the gun first" delta answers, aiming a cannon at the guard, end glowing from burning plasma.
