She stared at him with eyes wide. He stared back, equally as astonished. The shine from his flashlight illuminated the hood on her body, specifically her face. He saw red eyes staring into him, as well as a blue face with black-linings. She was so surprised by his appearance, and so too was he. The two couldn't believe the luck (or misfortune) of coming across one another. Here, of all places. It was like they were bound to run into each other.

"W-wait a sec," Sawyer said as he took a step forward, "You... you're that... Lucario from earlier, aren't you?"

She glanced down, then back, then down again, and back again. Sawyer merely started to quake, completely at odds with himself. What should he do? He's not all that great a Pokémon Trainer, if you haven't noticed. The only Pokémon he has to his name is Pachirisu, of course, and there's no way she could possibly contend with a Lucario.

But forget the Pachirisu! What about him! She was gone somewhere else, he was right here! Right in front of her. And she was looking back. He watched her hand open up, summoning a blue sphere, right in the palm. The Lucario pulled it back, and with a mighty lob, sent it flying his way. Acting off of instinct and adrenaline, Sawyer turned and bolted. But there is no avoiding an Aura Sphere.

The blue blast flew out of the aisle the Lucario stood within, and immediately curved like a boomerang. Instead of flying into a wall, it instead headed directly for Sawyer. He felt the blue blast bash into his body, lifting him off his feet. Thrown a few yards, he landed painfully into a desk the library own. His flashlight turned off.

Being hit by a Pokémon is really painful, no lie. So the fact that he was still conscious was surprising indeed. Sawyer grunted on the ground as he got on his hands and knees, only to fall over again. He struggled there constantly, as if this would help him get back his strength. Unfortunately, it made him fall once more.

Suddenly looking up, he saw a blurry blue image in the dark. Sawyer really began to fret when he saw the colors, fearing it was that Lucario above him again. Instead, his eyes fell upon the body of...

"Oh thank Arceus, Pachirisu!" he said, the tiny EleSquirrel Pokémon fretting with fear, "Pachirisu, I... I can barely move..."

She grabbed him by the face, trying her hardest to help her Trainer up. His body was still in so much pain though; he just couldn't move. The Pachirisu, terrified out of her wits, started to jolt his body with as much electrical pulses as she could muster, hoping something would wake his body up. If anything, it made him even more hurt.

"Please... Pachirisu..." he grumbled, "Stop... you're... hurting me..."

"Pachi pachi! Pachi! Pachi! Risu! Risu!" was her insane, babbling reply.

She tried to help him to his feet, fear gripping her tightly. Fear for her life, fear for his life, fear of the unknown. Yeah, that unknown creature that walked up within the night. She stared up to the cloaked figure in fear, seeing a pair of glowing red eyes glare back. Heart stopping, the EleSquirrel Pokémon hid herself within the safety of her master's weaken body, and then prayed to Arceus for protection. The cloaked figure gazed at the both of them.

All she saw was this flaring red aura of evil and lust. She hated that aura. Her hand opened, blue power burning within. She would destroy this satanic power; send it straight to hell! But the library suddenly flared to life, as lights appeared everywhere. This ear-splitting noise echoed out as well, while blue and red lights were visible in the distance out the windows.

The alarms on, the Lucario under the hood realized it was her time to go. She ran for the wall, still with that blue sphere in hand. Throwing at the barricade, she destroyed the wall, sending a rumble of destruction running throughout. Wall gone, she leaped out into the night sky, vanishing into the opaque darkness.

Pachirisu continued to cling to her trainer, terrified that the worse had occurred. But Sawyer's hand to her back made the EleSquirrel feel so safe; he was okay. Just really hurting, as one may suspect. He clenched his Pachirisu close, she finding safety in his arms, and he likewise.

...

Alice rushed through the fields, jumping over and under shrubbery at quick speeds. Skidding to a halt, she glanced over her shoulder to the building she attacked. That man, it was him. Again! Why him, of all people!? How did they run into each other here, of all places!? It was so freaking coincidental, so freaking ironic. That man who promised to help her. He couldn't promise her anything.

Any-fucking-thing!

Especially when his aura was so violent, so vile! Spiked, even, lustful, malicious! He wanted to do to her, what her master had already done to her! He wanted to rape her, to fill his own needs, day in and day out, for as long as he damn well pleased! Well she wouldn't let him! She wouldn't let any being have her in such a way! Not now, never again! She hated him! She hated everyone!

Her only solace; the Lucario Kingdom. The books she stole were here, in her hands. So many, all pertaining to her species. Her Trainer, he taught her how to read, how to write. Back when things were good, back when things were normal, back when she was a Riolu. If there was something she was thankful to him for - and she was thankful to him for a lot of things - it was the ability to read and write.

Only, it was too dark in this area. The moonlight wasn't helping in the least bit, much to her ire. Not to mention the powerful pain in her arm was making it hard to think. Seriously! It knotted and burned, roaring and wishing to be dealt with. Alice fell on a tree, finding it hard to keep conscious when her broken arm was making such a violent fuss. Staring at the limb, she could see a visible wound staring back. Yeah, that's not good.

The Lucario gripped her books again, gazing off to the lights in the distance. Running for them, she knew it was best to find herself a place to hide out for the night, at least until she was sure it was safe. Her aura powers turned off, giving her the strength to run. Everywhere she looked, her master's evil aura was stained. She needed to be free of it.

She gave a dash.

...

"Ouch!" he grunted, as the cotton swab teased his eyebrow.

He was brushed and battered, but okay. A few cuts here, scraps there; honestly, it could've been worse. Seriously, he could've broken a few bones or even died. That Lucario, the one in the hood, she had the very power to do away with him. But she didn't. She sure as hell tried though.

"Just calm down, you little pussy," her voice replied as she once again teased his cut with rubbing alcohol, "I swear, Sawyer, you're such a baby..."

He looked up at her, this woman who tended to her wounds. A beautiful girl, right around his age. A growing doctor; nurse right now. She had such long blonde hair that flowed to her sides, but she's no dumb blonde. Her eyes, blue just like his, they even shined the same. In fact, if one were to look close to them, they'd noticed a family resemblance. But of course they would; these two are sisters.

"I swear Sawyer," his older sister berated, "You're so stupid!"

"Hey, hey, HEY!" he shouted as that rubbing alcohol teased another wound, "You! You're doing that on purpose, aren't you!? Jeeze! Darnit Maria! Please, stop!"

Maria Pryce, his older sister by two years. While he's still fairly young, about eighteen-years-old, she took it upon herself to keep him in check. Easy? Yes. Annoying? Oh hell yes!

"Seriously, why did you take this job?" Maria asked as she began to apply band-aids to his cuts, "It's stupid, you don't get much pay, and then, one in every blue moon, you get attacked and hurt!"

"Hey, doesn't that mean I'm needed?" Sawyer laughed, before more rubbing alcohol to his body.

He cringed in pain; man did it hurt! His sister continued to hold him down however, trying her hardest to soothe his body of the pain brewing within. Impossible now, hard yes. Especially when he constantly jitters about like a freaking Spoink! So, yeah, when she stung him thanks to some of the injuries, she liked it a lot.

"Hold still... dammit..." she grunted as she placed one last band-aid on a cut on his back, "And... there! You're all done Sawyer..."

"Thanks sis..." he said as he rubbed his back, "Few... ugh... what a night, huh?"

"Yeah... right..." she groaned.

Giving a hard pat (which hurt him a lot), she made him stand up. Sawyer did just that, as he walked walked away from the ambulance. Squad cars were everywhere, while investigators stared at the great hole in the wall. Rubbing his head, Sawyer tried to come to terms with the nights events. He was working his day job, then BOOM! Crazy Lucario chick in a hood blasts him full of aura. Yeah, how the hell was he going to explain that to his boss?

"Hey, Bossman," he said as he put his hand on the shoulder of the library's owner, "We need to talk..."

...

Fired. Well, hey. It'll help him get that job as an officer in Jubilife.

Still, Sawyer wanted to bash his head open. He worked his ass off to get that job; it was like a stepping stone to his true wish. To work in the Jubilife Police Department. Just him and his partner Pachirisu. Or maybe they'll team him up with a Manectric or even a Houndoom, he didn't know! He just wanted to be a cop so bad. But losing a job as night guard can't look good on his resume.

"Well, Pachirisu," he said as he entered his home, keys jingling like always, "Better start searching through the 'Want' adds..."

"Chu chu..." she replied.

He closed the door behind him, completely exhausted by the days events. You know, after being attacked, having to walk home after being attacked, not to mention the disappointment from losing a job, Sawyer just felt like it was time to cool off. He sent Pachirisu off to do whatever she wanted to do, while he fell onto the couch of his living room.

Ya'know, his apartment wasn't all that grand. It wasn't big, somewhat small actually. A townhouse, it had its upstairs and downstairs, but it just wasn't big. Eh, it was good enough for him and maybe someone else. Someone who wasn't a small EleSquirrel Pokémon. Preferably a woman, really. Yeah, a nice woman. Kind smile, sweet eyes, nice hair, nice body, of course. But, most importantly, someone just to be with.

Sappy thoughts are sappy. Sawyer's tired eyes opened as he stared up to the silent TV. Anger took him, as he turned the television on with vigor.

Attack on Canalave Library, it said.

He grunted as he flipped the channel. Gymquierer? No, he's not into Gym Leader gossip. Well, maybe Candice, but that's beside the point. The usual Pokémon battle? Nah, not now, sports at this time a night would only jump-start his exhaustion.

How about the 'Lust Channel'? He did pay premium for that. But, ultimately, no. If anything, he was looking forward to bed. It was the best thing for him right now, especially after all that's happened. If anything, he would go back to work tomorrow to talk to the library's owner. He's a good man, just involved in the past. Once Sawyer explains himself, he was sure things would go back to normal.

"Chu! Pachirisu! Pachirisu!"

"What is it, Pachirisu?" he said as he stood up, still disturbed by the day's events.

He walked over to the EleSquirrel, watching as she pointed toward the trash within the room. It was overflowing, and quite smelly; a Trubbish would definitely call it 'home'. Sawyer gave a playful smile to his Pokémon, while he felt slightly embarrassed for letting the trash go away like this.

"Man... look at this..." he said.

"RIIISSUUUUUU!" the EleSquirrel replied as she started to spark with electricity.

"Okay! Okay! I'm deal with it! Give me a second!"

Pachirisu watched as Sawyer picked up the big and heavy black bag; boy did it smell like trash! Well, that's redundant. He held the trash with one hand as he walked through the back door, and too the rusted canisters that held his weeks trash. Trash-man comes Saturday, better get his trash in order now. Clenching his nose to keep the horrid smells out, Sawyer dropped his bag along with the others. The loud sound almost drowned out the moaning.

You know what Sawyer thought first? Damn his neighbors! Seriously! They have sex, like, all the freaking time! But then he noticed the moaning was a lot closer. It wasn't inside the building next to his home, but outside with him. He stared around, first thinking lewd thoughts, then thinking more serious ones. Someone or something was outside with him, hurting.

"Caaaa... aaaarrr..."

What was that? His eyes widened. It was a woman's voice, he could tell that much. Looking left and right, he wondered what woman was outside, and how she was in pain? Seriously, this was no time to be out! On a winter night in Sinnoh, with it cold all around, not to mention the snow. Yeah, it was snowing. Just lightly, but sure to build upon itself.

Sawyer searched fervently for this woman who he heard moan, finding it terrifying how he could no longer hear her voice. To his terror however, he saw a series of footprints left in the snow in his backyard. They were three toes, side by side. Pokémon feet.

"Oh no..." he said to himself in disbelief, as he followed the footsteps, "No, no, no... there is no way..."

He saw first, the brown rag. He walked closer to the body and grabbed said rag. Throwing it off, his eyes graced the body of a Lucario. Sawyer pulled back in a gasp, stunned by what he just saw. Seriously! Was his life, somehow, intertwined with this Pokémon!? She was everywhere! EVERYWHERE! This morning, maybe at his job and now here!? In his backyard!? There is just no, freaking, way! None! Whatsoever!

He thought about leaving her. He thought about simply calling the police or ambulance, and having them take the female Lucario from off his hands. But that just didn't happen. He instead stood there, stunned by the sight of her, wondering what to do. He moved left, he moved right, he always ended up at the same spot.

"Car... iii... ooo..." she whispered, before grunting in pain.

He watched as she unconsciously moved, revealing one of the many books she stole from the library. Seeing the tomes strengthened his resolve. He first scooped them up, and then placed them upon the body of the Lucario. And then he picked her up into his arms. She was cold; that's not good. Trying to be as gentle as he could, he took her toward their home. He stepped through the door, astonishing his Pachirisu. The Pokémon jumped up and down in fear, while he gave her one order.

"Get me the phone, I have to call Maria,"

"Risi risi!" she replied.

...

"What is going on here?" Maria said as she stepped into the room with her medical equipment.

"Oh, Maria, thanks for coming, I swear," her brother said, happiness ion his face, "I was terrified! I thought something might happen to her?"

"Who is she?" his sister said as she crouched down near the Aura Pokémon's body.

Lucarios are rare. Like, seriously rare. So incredibly rare, they're usually only seen with other trainers. And rightfully so, Lucarios aren't easy Pokémon to get up and train. Strong Trainers breed strong Pokémon, and Lucarios are expert examples of this. So why in the hell was this Lucario at her brother's home? Maria loves Sawyer; really she does, but a Lucario? Hey, he's not that great a Pokémon Trainer.

They stood within her brother's living room, the Pokémon in question on his main couch. It wasn't a medical bed, but it was all Maria had to work with. She looked the Pokémon up and down in utter confusion, trying to figure out why her day suddenly took a trip into the Distortion World.

"What do we do?" he asked in confusion, "I mean... she was just in my backyard; looks like she fainted there."

"Her arm's broken," Maria said as she checked the limb, "Crap... uh... get my things from out of my bag and uh... crap... doubl-crap... and... wait a sec..." she walked over to the couch's side, "These books... these books came from the Canalave Library!"

"Yeeeeaaaaaaah," Sawyer said, "Kinda noticed that already... but..." he grimaced, "Can we deal with her right now?"

"Please, Sawyer tell me this is not your Lucario, and you didn't make her steel these books and attack yourself!" Maria growled, "Are you tyring to make yourself look like some big damn hero, so the police will hire you!?"

"WHAT!? NO!?" he replied, stunned his sister would accuse him of such a thing, "Though that's a good idea, I would never do that! I'm not that great a Pokémon Trainer, Maria. There's no way I'd be able to train a Lucario. Especially under your nose like that..."

"Got that right..." she said with a smirk, "Fine... but if this is the Lucario that attacked you at the library, why didn't you just call the police?"

"Because I..."

He stopped, eyes wide. Why didn't he call the police? It didn't eve cross his mind. Seriously, this Pokémon cost him his job, and was now laying on his bed, unconscious. This was easy pickings! Call the cops, have her get... dealt with (seriously, what do the police do with Pokémon?), bring the books back to his boss, and get his job back! Not to mention get a good in with the Jubilife Police and be one step forward to becoming a cop!

But he didn't do that. He called Maria, his sister.

"Aww, so cute," Maria said as she playfully pinched him, "You just can't operate without your older sister, can you?"

"H-hey..." he said, still at a lost for words.

Maria got close to the resting Lucario, wondering just who she was and where she came from. She first gripped her arm, hearing the Aura Pokémon groan from the pain. Pulling back immediately, she started to think on what needed to be done.

"Alright, Sawyer," Maria said as she tied her hair back in a knot, "Get ready, this may take a while..."

...

And a while it took. So very long. Sawyer was grateful for his sisters actions, and even more grateful for her understanding. Her only request; she sleeps in his bed tonight. So now he roamed about his home, at this dreadful hour. It was like seven in the morning, could you believe that? The winter sun was beginning to rise high in the sky, sending its rays over the horizon.

With eyes extremely heavy, Sawyer walked through his own home. He gripped the bridge of his nose, grunting from how tired he was. In a few hours, he should be waking up. After all, nine was when he usually got his and Pachirisu's breakfast. Maybe it was time to get ready an hour or two early, huh?

He looked to his couch, after standing for a few minutes within his kitchen area. He saw red eyes staring back. Sawyer felt his heart get caught in his throat of all places, while he stared at her. She was staring at him, and so intensely as well. This heavy cast was on her arm, Maria's doing from last night. Not to mention the warm blankets placed on her, not to mention the band-aids that covered he scrapes.

She should have been thankful, but why? Why when all she saw staring at her was this viscous and demented aura. It stared at her, bouncing and waving, jacking left and right. This demented flash that looked like a complete monster. And when it stepped for her, she began to growl. Sawyer stepped back.

"H-h-hey, now," he said, "Don't... please don't... I was just trying to... help you..."

She continued to growl. He didn't feel any better.

"I'm Sawyer, Sawyer Pryce," he whispered, as he tried to walk forward, "I found you in my backyard, you collapsed there..." he then got a bit forceful, "You also attacked me at the library..."

"Lucario!" she barked, energy flaring, "Cario! Cario! Lucar - ARH!?"

Her entire body grew weak, as she shook left and right. Suddenly falling over, the Lucario found it impossible to remain up. She etched turned her head, where on the table stood a certain Pachirisu. Hey, she may not be the best Pokémon, but she's still a Pokémon. Paralysis saves the day.

The Lucario couldn't move; her entire body incapable of movement. She was so weak from all that's occurred lately, her body couldn't fight back the subtle jolts that rocked within. She was paralyzed alright, really paralyzed. And because of it, couldn't move.

"Well... few... you're awake," Sawyer said as he walked to the struggling Pokémon, "Thanks a lot Pachirisu... I'd probably be in bad shape right now..."

"Chu chu," she said with sass, as if saying 'you'd be dead'.

"Man, girl," Sawyer said as he walked up to the Lucario, "You've really been on my mind lately..."

How could she not be? She was everywhere today. Yesterday morning, at work, last night, and now here, in his very room. Man, what a day what a day. He was losing his mind, really. Or the universe was punishing him for something and he just didn't know yet. Honestly, they were both viable.

"So... you..." he said as he walked up, "Yeah... you... the one who attacked me and... messed up my job and..." he noticed something odd about her, "S-say... are you crying?"

Well duh, why wouldn't she be crying!? Look at him and his malevolent aura. The same Aura her trainer owns. With every step he took closer, she felt her body grow more and more submissive. If he wanted, he could do anything he wished to her. Because that's the kind of aura he had. That powerful, domineering aura, that none could ignore. What was she going to do now?

"Hey, why are you crying?" Sawyer asked, terrified by her sudden actions.

She tried to straighten up, but she couldn't thanks to her paralysis. So when he stood tall over her, gazing down with eyes of confusion, she felt the need to quell him. Less she be punished.

"Cario! Cario!" she said as she moved weakly, "Lucar rio, rio oo, luc luc Lucario!"

"What!?" he responded, just as confused as any other human would be.

"Cario! Cario!" she shouted again, "Lucar rio, rio, oo - mmfmfffhf!?"

Sawyer's hand sat on her mouth, keeping her quiet. She stared at him, and he stared back. The auras she saw suddenly fizzled out, while her red eyes ceased their glow. She just stared at him, while he tried to understand what was going on. Then he sat down on his couch beside her, whilst angling her so she could lean up as well. Finally, he took in a deep breath.

"I'm Sawyer Pryce," he whispered to her, "I found you outside my house, freezing to death. My sister, Maria, and my Pachirisu, patched you up as best we can, see?" he lifted her cast-ridden arm, making her gasp. She didn't even notice it wasn't shooting with pain, "Now, please, tell me - or at least help me - figure out who you are, and who your trainer is."

She looked at him, that word floating in her head. 'Trainer'. It was synonymous with a name. 'Drake'. She began to whimper just thinking about it, and from those whimpers, she tried to pull back. She didn't want him touching her, she didn't want anyone touching her. She just wanted to be alone.

Sawyer was able to catch on to his pretty early on, when the Lucario gazed down to his bed. Scratching the back of his head, he placed his hand on her cheek, making her look at him. He gave the best thing he could right now; Sawyer smiled. He didn't know if it made her feel any better, or any worse for that matter, he just wanted her to know she was in good hands.

"C'mon, Pachirisu," Sawyer said as he stood up again, "We're having breakfast now, let's get moving..."

"Risi..." she replied.

As Sawyer neared his door, his Pokémon ran up his leg and perched herself on his shoulder. The two looked at the wayward Lucario who sat on their couch, wondering what they should do. Was it wise to leave her here, all alone? Maybe not, but Maria was here. And, admittedly, she was a much better Pokémon Trainer than he was.

He opened the door, and scooted through it, leaving the Lucario alone. She looked first to the door, then off into nothing. She just sorta, kinda, stared. Unmoving, unknowing what to do now. Her life right now didn't feel like Hell, but it didn't feel like Heaven either. It was Purgatory. Straight up Purgatory.

A few minutes later, a woman walked down in her pajamas. Tired and exhausted, she almost didn't notice the man Lucario sitting upon the couch. Red eyes met blue, both sides unknowing of what to do. Then the Lucario eyes started to glow. Once more, she saw the deranged, malicious, evil, vile, lustful, aura, roaring from the body of this woman. Just like the man before, just like all the creatures in the forest, and just like her trainer. But something strange happened. The woman's eyes shined a bright blue.

"Uuuuuhhhhh... oh my," the woman said, "You... you're aura it's... horrible... just..." she walked closer, much to the Lucario's surprise, "Just what happened to you? S-say... what's your name?"

"Luc... rio..."

"Alice?" the woman said, stunned, "That's a pretty name... uh... my name is... Maria Pryce... my brother saved you..."
