More random darkness!

Cassius fidgeted nervously. He knew he shouldn't have done this, shouldn't have let himself be talked into this. But Yeris had been so eager to help, and he showed promise. The dragon looked over at the large grandfather clock against the wall. It was nearly time. Soon his dinner would be served here and he would have servants to confirm his alibi. He forced himself to breathe slowly, closing his eyes. "She wouldn't find out, this was going to work." He reassured himself quietly. He had grown so tired of his sister's way and a few of her subjects had been voicing a concern to him. A knock on the door startled him. "C-come in!" He called and was relieved when a few servants entered wheeling in a tray with two silver covered platters. His mind began to ease as he saw his dinner, certain the chef had done an exemplary job as usual. The platters were placed on the table before the grey dragon and he licked his lips a bit. The servant lifted the lids and let out a gasp along with Cassius who stared at what was there in place of his meal. Before him was the traumatized and viciously removed head of Yeris on one tray, the eyes removed, and what appeared to be a heart, a lung, and the genitals of a dragon on the other. Cassius fought the urge to vomit and was vaguely aware of a sword slitting the servants throat, gagging softly. What he heard next froze his blood solid.

"My my, brother. It seems you recognize this would be assassin~" Came his sister, the Queen's, voice from behind him. His whole body shook in terror and he couldn't move. His muscles trembled. He had been so stupid. He knew this wouldn't have worked. His sister slowly came into view, the light from the chandelier glinting off her jewelry, her crooked horns and demeanor giving her a terrifying presence. She took a seat opposite the table, but Cassius still didn't move. He knew that Tyiis, he vicious bodyguard, was right behind him. Queen Selina gave him a furious glare. "I'm hurt, brother. I had though that if you didn't like me, you would have tried to end me yourself." She said, her voice too calm despite her anger. She flicked a horn on the dismembered head. "Like when I killed mother~ Yet you had to get someone else to do your dirty work. Took awhile to find that out too. Though I wondered why an assassin would remain so loyal to his employer." She tilted the head to the side, the limp jaw flopping open to reveal that the bloody mouth had very few teeth remaining. Cassius gagged again, but held still. "He gave up that he was working for the Seers about the time I had his naughty bits ripped from his slit. Took a few fingers and teeth to reveal that he was had been in fact directly ordered by a Speaker. The Fifth Speaker of the Seers no less. An eye or two later and I was delivered some shocking news as to the identity of the Fifth Speaker~"

Cassius gulped loudly, trembling in terror. The Queen grinned. "I must say it's an honor to be in your presence. And how much of a shame it is that you've gotten attached. Such a pretty little ness, that Lyla is. And heavy with your clutch too!"

Cassius whined. "P-please, don't hurt her..." Selina laughed. "I have a deal for you. Eat what's on the tray before you and learn your lesson. And you, your mate's, and what ever pathetic whelps you spit out lives will be spared, but you'll only exist to me as a puppet to influence the Seers. Resist and I'll have you silenced and forced to watch as your pregnant wife fights against Pitt in the arena~"

Cassius shivered. He knew that name. His sister's pet cannibal she kept as her arena's champion. It disgusted him. He stared at the assorted organs before him and whined. He had too, for his family. Only other option was a slow death of dehydration and starvation for him while his mate and unborn children make a meal for that monster. He nodded, powerless. He chose the least offensive item first, whimpering softly as he brought his muzzle near the lung. He hadn't eaten raw meat before, let alone another dragon. He'd never dream of it! The barbaric and disgusting idea. But here he was with no other option. He took a breath and snatched the lung into his maw. Immediately he gagged and coughed as he tired to chew it. His body heaved and shuddered, the organ tasting absolutely disgusting and still felt somewhat warm. He had been killed only recently. He fought his reactions and swallowed the bits of that organ as fast as he could, coughing and whining at the act he had just commuted. The Queen nodded and chuckled. "Here, wash it down with this." A thick scaled hand reached over his shoulder, Tyiss. It placed a glass down and began to fill it with a fluid from a large bottle. It was dark red and flowed thick. Cassius shook his head as he realized what it was, they had drained him of all his blood before chopping him up apparently. The Queen growled. "Drink it." She ordered and Cassius slowly took the glass. He brought it to his lips and tipped it back, the foul and thick liquid running over his tongue. He coughed and gagged, spitting up the blood to leak out of the corners of him maw. He contorted his face into a continuous grimace and forced himself to swallow.

Selina chuckled. "Continue your meal, Seer." She said. Cassius turned to the heart only to move to the shaft and testicles that laid on the platter, wanting to get rid of them fast. He picked them up and brought the shaft towards his maw, opening wide before quickly butting down to try and chew it. The testicles burst in his maw making his stomach heave. He fought hard to keep his 'meal' down, finally forcing himself to swallow those genitals. S-stop. No more..." He panted, his stomach churning. Selina growled. "Finish or die." She said.

Cassius whimpered and picked up the heart, the organ flopping about in his paw before he placed the entire thing in his maw, biting down to have blood burst from every open vein. He nearly vomited then, his stomach acid burning the back of his throat a bit before he battled it back down and swallowed the heart. He panted heavily and whined loudly, not meeting her eyes. "I'm s-sorry, sister."

"Shut up. You are no longer my brother." She said coldly before standing up and storming out of the room. Left with the bodies of the servants and the head of the poor young dragon he had failed, Cassius started to sob.
