Kel stood there in the living room with Julyan seeing all the broken furniture, Kel even had to choked back a sob as he saw a small pool of blood on the floor.

Kel quickly turn to Julyan, "Tell me everything," Kel demanded as Julyan took in several breaths.

"Well I was going on my regular patrol around the village, then I decided to head back home for a quick lunch," Julyan explained not trying to get all emotional again

Lyrnn and the others began to scan the room looking for some sort of trail the would lead them to Zaldon, while Bayne sat on a stool near Kel looking grim not saying a word.

"I don't know son," Kel tensed up as thoughts of a hurt or even a dying Zaldon fills his head making him shake with anger.

Julyan placed a hand on Kel's shoulder looking sympathetic, "He's alive I just know it," He said as his head perked towards the sorcerer that had accompanied Lynny and Bayne, "Zaheer was it," Julyan asked.

Zaheer looks and nods, "Could you see if you can find anything," Julyan seeing how frustrated Lynny was in his search.

"Sure," Zaheer said as he walked into the center of the room, then held up his hand, which began to glow blue as he looked for any signs.

"There," Zaheer said making everyone immediately look to him, Zaheer walked over to where a black substance on the ground.

"This is residue from a teleportation spell," Zaheer bent down and hovered his glowing hand over it.

"So Zaldon escaped," Julyan said with hope in his voice.

Zaheer shook his head, "Each sorcerer has a distinct feel kinda like a magical scent per say," he explained, "This isn't Zaldon's doing, who ever attack him was a sorcerer as well," Zaheer finished letting the information sink in.

Kel looked at Zaheer, "Do you know where this sorcerer took Zaldon," everyone looked to Zaheer as he shook his head.

"I do not, but," Kel perked his ears as Zaheer continue to speak, "I can get a general location," He finished.

Bayne looked up, "What do you need boy," He said to Zaheer.

"I just need a compass," Zaheer pulled a stick of chalk from his pouch.

Julyan immediately went to the cupboard grabbing a small compass his father had given him when he first became a warrior.

Zaheer took it and set to work. Kel paced the room his hands behind his back as he watched the young sorcerer set the compass in the middle of black mark on the floor, then used the stick of chalk he pulled out earlier drew complex runes around the compass.

Once he had finished drawing, Zaheer held his hand over the compass and once more glowed with magic, muttering a few words under his breath the compass soon glowed a bright gold. Everyone watched in awe as Zaheer finished the spell.

Zaheer stood up and smiled, "There," He handed the compass back to Julyan, the compass instead of pointing north was pointing in a weird direction.

"I managed to link it to what was left of the magic used to teleport Zaldon and his assailant," He informed the group.

"So if we follow the direction the compass is pointing, we'll find my son," Bayne asked looking at Zaheer who nodded.

"It'll point the general direction and it'll glow once you get close enough," Julyan grabbed Zaheer hugging him.

"Thank you Thank you," Julyan said as he let go of the young sorcerer.

"emotional pussy," Bayne said under his breath before standing up using his cane for support,

"Where do you think your going," Lynny asked his father.

"To find my son," Bane limped over to the doorway.

"But sir you're in no condition to travel," Zaheer said in concern.

"I can give two shits what you think I'm coming," Bayne said with a growl in his voice.

"Dad please," Lynny started to say, but the death stare Bayne gave him shut his son right up.

"Well if you insist on coming old man," Kel said crossing his arms, "You are going to take my lead,".

Bayne sneered at Kel, "Like I'm gonna take orders from summer brat and a buttfucker to boot," Kel held a hand on Kilyan who was gonna charge at Bayne.

"If we are going to find Zaldon, we're gonna have to work as a team," Kel said in clenched teeth. looking at him Loryn knew Kel was inches away from punching the old geezer lights out.

Bayne and Kel stare at each other for a time, then Bane clicked his teeth, "Fine brat lead the way," he grunted earning a small smile from Lynny.

Turning to Julyan, "You should stay here incase he comes back," Kel said but Julyan poked Kel's chest.

"Zaldon is my husband I'm coming," Julyan said in a strong commanding voice that caught Kel somewhat by surprise.

Nodding as Kel turned to the others, "We're probably going to get over our heads, but," Kel paused for a second or two, "Zaldon needs our help," he finished.

"Well what are we waiting for," Keeno said grinning.

Loryn and Yzlo nod in unison, "We got a big tall white hunk to save," Loryn said as Zaheer moved over to Bayne placing a hand on the talisman that Bayne had strapped to his upper arm.

"I won't be able to do much, but this'll help sir," Zaheer said enchanting the talisman with a healing spell.

Bayne coughed a bit, but soon looked healthier than he did a moment go, his muscle had more definition to them while the trembling in his legs had stopped.

"It's not permit, though it'll last a while, but once it wears off you'll start to deteriorate again," Zaheer said as Bayne patting the young sorcerer on the head.

"I'll keep that in mind Zaheer," Bayne said as he straighten himself up and stretched his legs a bit feeling new found strength in them.

"Well at least he won't slow us down too much now," Kenno whispered into Kyilan's ear.

Bayne shot Kenno a glare, "What was that boy," He commanded.

"Nothing sir," Kenno said straightening up.

Bayne snorted as he turned to Kel, "Well lead on," Bane crosses his arm.

Kel glared at Bayne for a second or two and was gonna say something, but Julyan patted his shoulder, "Come on," He said as Julyan lead the group to the Sun Chiefs grand hut.

The Sun Chiefs grand hut stood in the center of the village and naturally is the largest building around.

While inside Julyan explained to the chief of the situation of Zaldon's kidnapping, "I see this comes at a bad time my wife has fallen ill once again," The Chief said looking distrat.

Zaheer stepped forward, "I can stay and tend to the chieftess until Zaldon's return," He said voluntarily as he bowed respectfully.

"Thank you for your service young sorcerer, I'll make sure you'll receive some sort of reward for you time," The chief said waving to one of the royal protectors to lead Zaheer to the chiefs bed chambers.

Turning back to the group, "I'll provide provisions and some gold tipped arrows for your journey," He said waving his hand at a few servants to do as instructed.

Kel, and the rest of the group a small pouch with food, and other provisions they would need on their trip.

One of the royal protects handed Julyan four gold tipped arrows along with a special crossbow.

"What's with the gold," Kilyan asked Julyan.

"Well Kilyan gold can inhibit a sorcerer from using magic, so stick a few of these in the bastard he won't be able to form a proper spell," Julyan said patting Kilyan on the shoulder.

With everyone geared and ready to go they stood at the great sun gate. Zaheer met them there and gave them his blessing.

After finishing their Audience with the chief, Kel started off leading the group out of the village, holding the compass up the needle wiggles rapidly until it pointed to the other end of the wastelands towards the cursed white forest.

"Don't worry Zaldon I'm coming for you," Kel said as he motioned everyone to head in the direction the compass was pointing to.

Elsewhere, "gaaahh," Zaldon groans as he weakly opened his eyes to find that he in some sort of cave seeing the stalagmites scattered across the floor, while many stalactites jutted down from the ceiling.

As his eyes slowly adjust to the lighting inside the cave, he craned his head up, to see there were several furnishings, there was an alter with what looked like a very ancient book sitting on top of it.

There was also a cauldron with some sort of bubbling fluid inside of it, while a small fire burned underneath it.

A little ways off a large crystal ball stood closest to him with white smoke swirling inside of it.

"Where am I," Zaldon said groggily as he tried to move his arm to find he couldn't, turning his head to find that his arms had been bound against the cave wall by gold chains.

Zaldon tried in vain to break the gold chains as he slunk against the wall panting his head swimming, "Ah you're awake finally," echoed a voice that made Zaldon stand still his eye wide as he looked at the entrance to the cave stood someone who he thought was long dead.

"Uncle......Eloein," Zaldon stuttered can't believe his eyes, Eloein his uncle that he had killed years ago stood in front of him grinning sadistically, that smile brought fear in his eyes.

"This can not be," Zaldon said fear building in his chest as he began to breath faster and tears stream down his cheeks.
