One step closer, many still far away. The path to the truth is a long and hard one.

Chapter 21: The Raid â€" Suicide-Maker

Alexis waved a hand to him in the usual code of the military, signaling that the parking was free of any other presence apart them... luckily, it was by now too late for new people coming to be likely and too early in the night for people leaving, and the only person other than himself that Killer spotted was the caretaker in his little tower far on its left, at the entrance of the parking... And he was apparently sleeping as well. And I leaved my Aston under his care... Fucker. Killer thought dumbly as he rapidly sprinted down the queue of cars to reach Alexis near their black, powerful Aston Martin as she rapidly get all the gear needed for the raid itself. She was currently leaning against the side of the car, kicking off the black, high-heeled boots she had been wearing for her much more adequate usual combat boots, her Joint Warriors system visor already worn and long black gloves covering her hands and arms to well past her elbows as she grinned a bit up at him.

He quickly put on his own visor and gloves himself, then he rapidly worn the magnetic strap for carrying his famous crimson blade and then took the huge Wyvern out from the car, shouldering it easily on the magnet, resting the weapon in place as he quickly handed to Alexis her sheathed Blue Vixen. She had already took the small pouches with the electronic stuff they needed to violate the numerous security systems and the rugged military rucksack that contained one example of the latest stuff designed for the Predators. Killer, meanwhile, had got the four pistols that they had took with them, another new design, called Desert Storm, and he handed two to Alexis, who immediately checked both magazines and safes with a lightning-fast, expert gesture and holstered both in leather holsters she already had tied at her thighs. Those pistols were amazing, and perfect for such a raid: small, easy to use even in very tight space and with a mighty kick. The Desert Storm had no mechanic firing system, and fired its round by means of electric pulses, so, once fitted with a suppressor, was entirely silent. Besides, the special rounds Killer and Alexis had designed were caseless, since the propellant charge made up the case itself... and it burned entirely into the barrel at the moment of the shot. No flash, almost no smoke and no cases flying around... they would have left zero signs of their passage. The pistol was fitted with four barrels, each stacked with ten bullets in a queue, ready to be fired one by one or all together, making up a volume of fire that would have put to shame many machine guns... And each of their pistols was currently fitted with at least one barrel of non-lethal rounds, so to be ready to face any situation. That left always 30 bullets .50 caliber ready to use in each weapon, anyway. Fired all together, they could form almost one only huge bullet, thanks to the minimum time passing between one shot and another... and pierce even across thick armors.

Alexis slammed closed the door of the car, Killer closing the trunk himself as both looked around to confirm they were still alone... and then both sprinted towards the dark alley between the two skyscrapers of the complex, in the garden that was all around the base of the two towers and that was currently desert. They irrupted into the dark space, leaning against the wall of granite that made up the base of the octagonal, lower building to further reduce their visibility to whatever casual observer there could be in the distance, far over the metallic nets that surrounded the perimeter of the garden. A last cautious glance around, and Alexis talked in her visor. "In position. Confirmed acquisition of info."

Both her and Killer's tactical visor come to life immediately, a small screen appearing right in front of their left eye, as the usual interface come in, complete of the incredibly useful mini-map with GPS location. On the screen, anyway, Siegfried was looking amusedly at them both, leaning back into a black chair in a dark room where the only light came from computer's screens and instrumentation, wearing headsets and microphone naturally as he stood dressed in full, black Predator's uniform. He was transmitting from the Predators' Headquarters in Kesteven, and had monitored all their moves for all the time, warning Alexis when she had gathered the data needed from Kaufman. And Alexis did not forget. "Thanks, Cold. You saved me from becoming lesbian, pretty much." She made a grimace as she reminded how close she had been to kissing the fat ursine, thought that still upset her. Killer, at her side, snickered a bit until she lightly kicked his ankle. Siegfried only nodded, apparently ignoring even the nickname she had given him as he conserved his usual cool and aristocratic behavior. "My duty, Alexis. So, it looks like I'm your Angel for tonight... I don't wanted the new toy handed so soon to a HQ's operative..."

"REMF, Siegfried." Killer interrupted his brother with an amused grin, well knowing how the perfect little bro hated both being interrupted and considered extremely inappropriate the term Rear Echelon Mother Fucker, even if it was... sorta of a playful tradition in Kesteven, and considered of no offensiveness. Siegfried, in fact, gave his big bro a flat look for a moment, arching his eyebrows a bit. "...Anyway, I've here the best experts of our Unmanned Vehicles section and the most expert burglars of the Predators and the Special Reconnaissance Service ready to give whatever help is needed. We can open any kind of security system, that's a promise." Siegfried continued. "As for my Angel's duty, we have the new Dark Angel drone flying over your position. I can give you a god's eye sight in any moment. Give a glance..." He paused, bending forwards a bit to tape a few commands on the console in front of him, and on the visors of the two sovereigns, its figure was replaced by another screen coming up, with a clear, zoomed and high quality vision of the entire complex, seen from the sky.

The Dark Angel, in fact, was a new model of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle: called so for its black color, the UAV was propelled by a small and efficient jet engine, had a stealth fuselage and long, thin wings that allowed it to fly at an height of roughly 90.000 feet, pretty much out of any possibility of reaction from even the most advanced kinds of Surface-to-Air Missiles. Added security to its stealth design that made it mostly impossible to spot on a radar system... it was the perfect way to keep under surveillance a battlefields even very extended, with their combined Active Electronic Scansion Array Radar and a very advanced, cooled Thermal/IR scanner capable to pick up a variation of less than a Celsius degrees in a range of 90 miles. Nothing could be hidden to such eyes... and with about 36 hours of autonomy, they could stay on station, spying and referring back to base for all the time needed. Killer was very proud of such new system... a perfect integration, and in many cases substitution, of satellites, that would have allowed the Predators to never walk in blind anywhere. That was one of the first three UAVs built, and the entire mission would have worked also as a proving test for the new gear... a very harsh and demanding test, since the Dark Angel had to remain unseen on Ire's radars and sensors and avoid being shoot down for all the time, since its flight over Roxburgh was secret, had not even been requested, and surely not allowed. It had been a very important success so far, managing to make it take off from the runways of Warton's base, in Kesteven, and flying it directly into the air space of Ire without being discovered on the radars of the air defense of what was a global superpower.

Killer's eyes roved with attention over the image on his visor, eventually raising a hand to press a button on the headset to expand the screen over the whole visor as Alexis kept her attention on the area... He could clearly see himself and Alexis in the alley, as the Thermal lecture was added on the radar image, making the quality of each detail absolute. He could see the cars rolling by on the roads around the complex, but nothing worryingly, as also the very few people walking around so late at night walked along the perimeter without any sign of suspect or any sign of having spotted at all the two warrior tigers. No police cars, no one seeking for them in any way... and he valued the visual fields of each contact to ensure they were safe, following with apprehension for a moment a group of persons that exited from the Midnight Sun and walked in the garden... only to reach their car and go away calmly. "Ok, we can proceed." We whispered into the microphone, and Alexis gave a thumb up from her side before kneel down and take the rucksack off her shoulders, opening it and extracting two wrist-wearable small computers, not bigger than the joystick of many game consoles and very similar to them, with a small trackball control, a few buttons and a small screen. Killer immediately strapped his around his wrist, setting it so that it was comfortable enough, and not obstacle of whatever blow or move he could need to do with his left hand as Alexis did rapidly the same.

"I'll be keeping you two under control with the Dark Angel. If there's danger, I'll warn you. Good luck." Siegfried warned before close the image data link, and Killer nodded to himself. "Keep your eyes open, bro. I'd like not to mess people up today, if possible." He said in the microphone before bend a bit to help Alexis preparing the small drone she had pulled out of the rucksack. The "Buzz" was a much smaller UAV, fully portable, with the shape of a cylinder of plastic composite protecting a chopper-like rotor system with counter-rotating blades, propelled by a small electric engine and batteries. Inside the cylinder, a computer, mounted above the rotor and propulsion system and well protected, managed the flying procedures and received the commands on a radio link. A structure of solid tubes, as well in composite materials, formed a ring under the cylinder, slightly larger than it and used as protection against bumps and as undercarriage. Another structure, conic, was placed over the cylinder, and each of the two appendices bore the weight of an independent, swivelling turret with a sensor made up of day/night and thermal camera, laser range-finder and tracker and microphones, that made of the Buzz a perfect flying spy.

Alexis easily prepared the drone for its flight, and stepped back a bit, giving a careful glance around before pushing a couple of buttons on her wrist-controller, making the electric engine start and the rotor moving as Killer kept the whole alley under check, hoping that the soft, low buzzing of the electric drone would have been stealth enough for whatever could be nearby, listening... and Alexis soon guided the small UAV easily into the air, an easy vertical take off. She then deployed the two sensors, using one to control each on the two skyscrapers as she slowly guided it up, floor after floor, a screen on her visor showing to her eye the huge, dark-blue windows of the two buildings and what was happening inside. "Mirror-glass. Double layer, reinforced... bullet-proof. Apparently, there's a photocell controlling each window, but no more security system so far. The cameras aren't a problem to avoid..." She paused, gritting her teeth a bit as she guided the Buzz in a cautious, controlled slid to the side. "A fucker looking out of the damn window." She snorted, but her muzzle crested a bit in a grin nonetheless.

Killer nodded, one of his Desert Storm handguns at the ready as his sharp eyes continued to rove from side to side over the garden and along the alley, his mind making note of each detail Alexis described, a miniaturized screen on his visor with the images from the Dark Angel helping him in his work of guard. "Ok, lover. You can go up rather easily. The Octagon has a side made up entirely of granite. No windows. Probably inside there are the elevators... but anyway, no one looking out, which is what matters. You can climb from there... no cameras, either." Alexis said calmly as she made the Buzz scan one more time the blind side of the octagon, making the camera on top of the Drone move from side to side. "They evidently think there's no one that would climb an 80 floor skyscraper." She added with a hint of teasing amusement, grinning a bit... and Killer snorted from his position as he grinned idly himself. "No one sane, at least." He countered, before move from his crouching position towards the wall of the lower building, just behind his back, rolling his shoulders a bit as he cracked his knuckles with a sly grin. "No one coming around here, for now... but be careful, darling."

"No one sees me if I don't want to show me, lover." She answered amusedly, and Killer blinked as he turned and saw the alley suddenly empty... and then a hand gently ruffled his mane from above, and he turned upwards with a smile. Alexis was grinning at him from where she had leapt up on the cornice of the first floor. She was leaning in a shady corner, her back idly leaned against the wall, her visor alive with a screen with the Angel's sight and the wrist controller with the images coming from the Buzz. "I'll be helping you from here." She said gently... and then grinned with amusement at the challenge ahead. "Anyhow, the hard stuff is mine. Climbing 144 floors of glass's windows... it will be fun." She winked, and Killer smiled as he prepared himself for his own part.

He took a few steps of run up in the narrow alley, then easily leapt with a grunt up the thick wall of hard granite, taking a few long steps up it, running for a few moments in vertical on the side of the building... and then he pushed himself up in another audacious jump upwards before use his clawed hands to grasp the wall and sustain himself, starting climbing when he felt that neither him could challenge gravity anymore. He grunted as he hang a bit from his difficult position, but grinned as he looked downwards: he don't knew how many floors he had overcome already, but he could barely see Alexis looking at him from below... could only imagine her grin... and see he had well overcome the half of the skyscraper. It was easier than forecasted... unless for the wind that roared strong at such height and stung in his eyes as his mane flew wildly around his head.

"You are going strong... what's? A challenge...?" Alexis's taunting voice came from his headsets, making him snort amusedly as he easily pulled himself up with his powerful arms, rapidly gaining on the distance to cover as his muscles bulged and his claws sunk slightly even into the granite with the strength of his hold. He grinned, moving even faster now, as she got back her professionalism and coldness. "Road's clean. But be careful, there are four cameras of surveillance on top. Each is mounted on a tall metallic pole in the four corners of the helicopter pad. They are all oriented to the middle of the pad itself, but all together have obviously full coverage. Not the right time to show your beautiful body on television."

"I can take care of the cameras." Siegfried said calmly, sounding halfway between amused and upset of the antics that Killer and Alexis exchanged even during a mission and that he could listen on the network. "We'll use the transmission of the Electronic Array Radar of the Dark Angel as an electronic war system at maximum power... I can guarantee that no camera will see you until we want it to happen. We'll cause a delay in the feedback of images from the cameras... just to give you time to enter the system and sabotage it the right way. We could just... bomb the whole area with such a level of electromagnetic waves from that radar to break down any electric system, but that would be... suspect at the very least."

Killer, meanwhile, had reached the top of the skyscraper, and easily lifted himself a bit to glance cautiously over the edge of the wall he was hanging from. A little space was available to walk around all the perimeter of the building, and he had no difficulties in seeing snipers coming there from the garrison inside the building if the alarm sounded... In the middle stood, a wide, raised, square helicopter pad with a metallic parapet running all around it, with the pillars of the cameras at the four corners as Alexis had already verified with the Buzz. A light helicopter was parked in the middle, well insured at the tower by means of thick cables of steel coming from hooks in the pad linked to the prismatic hook in the belly of the chopper... and a thick security door of steel in the thickness of the landing pad lead to the inside of the building, standing near to a small stair that lead to the platform itself. Easy, precise, essential. It was a perfect point to keep under control the whole surroundings.

"You can go, bro. You are the invisible tiger, right now." Siegfried's voice come into his headset even if static crackled lowly in the background... the whole Joint Warriors net was heavily protected against such kind of interferences, after all: it had been studied and designed as an "Armageddon" device, capable to survive and operate even in the worst electromagnetic tempests of the frightening scenario of a nuclear war. Killer lifted himself a bit to give another careful glance... and made a bit of a face as he felt the fur of his mane lift and crackle noisily with the quantity of electromagnetic energies and pulses being irradiated on the building from the drone high over his head in the sky... and then he easily leapt up, standing in a crouch as he half-waited for alarms to sound and his hands waited at the ready near the two massive automatics pistols at his sides... But nothing happened, even if a camera was aimed straight at him, as if it was monitoring him and only him... And he stood fully in the roaring wind as he saw electricity crackle violently along the metallic railings, the cameras and even the helicopter itself. "Wow. It works even better than what I imagined when I first thought to this possibility." He whispered absently as he walked forwards, grinning a bit in the satisfaction of the success before kneel near the first camera he reached.

He looked over the support pillar rapidly, trying to find an inspection door, an access panel or something, until he found a small armoured door in the metallic structure and bad temperedly grasped it, ready to tore it out of its hinges... but Alexis coughed in his headsets, and he sighed as he remembered they were playing nice and safe this time around... and he could not risk to set up the alarm by tearing away the goddamn door and a possible contact anti-intrusion behind it. He quickly pulled a fine-bladed black assault knife from a sheath ensured on his armour and started to push the blade into the small slit offered by the door's enclosure, trying to feel the eventual presence of traps. There could have been anything... from a simple wire that would have started the alarms if pulled to a detonating system for a grenade... and memories of how he had dealt with the latter kind of tricks so many times in his past as soldier and general crowded his mind for a moment. "Clean." He muttered. "Time...?"

"We got at least twenty more seconds of delay before you start going on their screens." Siegfried answered, his voice cold and calm as Killer ripped off the metallic door with an easy pull and a low curse. "I got hands too big for this fucking kind of works." He muttered, rolling his eyes upwards a bit as he took in the huge number of cables of various color grouped together in a bundle into the thick armour of steel provided by the pillar. He wondered a moment on what was the main cable of the defensive system and of the cameras... but he immediately noticed another, smaller and almost transparent cable wrapped tight around all the others. "Siegfried, Alexis... look at this... I guess it's a control system. Suggestions...?" Killer said into the small microphone of the visor as he fitted rapidly a cable into a surgery-like, high precision tool with a very little, special designed scissor cut-wires and a microcamera that started immediately sending the images on his visor.

"It's undoubtedly a system of security. Whatever you do, don't touch it." Siegfried said after chatting rapidly with Alexis... and Killer snorted a bit. "Easy for you to say, bro." He tried to keep his hands as steady as he could, pushing the small tool between two of the spires of the security cable, pushing forwards cautiously into the skein of cables until he localized in the middle a large optic fibre wrapped in a protective metallic skirt. "Here we are..." He murmured as he started working the scissors to remove a small trait of that protection.

"Ten seconds, Killer. Move those hands!" Siegfried warned in his headsets, clearly more worried and hurried now as the huge white tiger managed to finally uncover the optic fibre. "Stupid bitchy cables that can't be cut and rejoined!" Killer grumbled, bitching about what was both the best and the worst point of optic fibres. You can't intercept anything transmitted by light into an optic fibre unless you physically enter in the cable... but in the same time, it's impossible to cut and join sections of optic fibres, which makes it extra hard to sabotage in the way he was trying to... and made it a bitch if, during the laying of cables, one break somewhere. Even Alexis was silent, and just as Siegfried, she was undoubtedly looking at the same images he was seeing from the microcamera on her own visor, her much more talented fingers surely replying his moves out of instinct... and finally, Killer managed to fix around the optic fibres the special receptor on the new cable he had inserted and that was connected to a satellite-linked, small device in an anonymous box currently in his pocket, that was nothing more than a sophisticated computer system.

"One second and thirty left, bro. You were about to be spotted... You should train for this kind of things as well as lifting tanks. You are rusting up in this field. " Siegfried said playfully from the visor... and Killer snorted. "I'm so gonna kick your ass when I get home." He said grouchily as he leaned back to sit with a relieved sigh, pulling the small box out of his pocked and hiding it as best as he could just into the vain in the pillar as his brother fell silent for a moment, probably valuing what he could do to get forgiven... or to vanish before Killer could get back home, that was. Killer smiled amusedly at that consideration... and his eyes automatically roved once more over the small computer he had just placed down, making sure that nothing could push people finding it to think it was a Kesteven made device. That had been a serious worry... but Siegfried and Alexander had made sure to build it up from common components all built off-the-shelf, especially from Lunis, by different members of the secret intelligence service. No one could have linked the small device to Kesteven in any way.

"Ok, we are inside. Now we own the whole building... we decide who is seen and who is not. Cameras aren't a problem anymore." Siegfried said, voice back to his most professional one as in the background Killer could already hear his expert fingers taping on the keyboard. "I should manage to hack down the rest of the system in minutes."

The huge male nodded a bit to himself, well knowing that his younger brother could. Siegfried was an excellent hacker, after all... an ability that had grown more and more useful and that had been used a lot more in the last times by the Predators. After all, hacking computer systems was an optimum source of info about any enemy, in a world so digitalized. "Alexis, your turn when you are ready." He said gently, the femme fatale's grin coming to his visor immediately as her eyes gleamed with the light of challenge lust.

"Then, let's get the show started." She grinned predatorily, cracking her knuckles and rolling her shoulders a bit before easily leap up from where she had waited... and she gave an expectant, amused glance upwards to the tower standing in front of her in its sheer imposingness.

Then, without a notice of any sort, she started running as fast as she could and leapt up the wall with ease and elegance, arms going out as if to thrust off something as she kicked earth off her feet, easily rising into the air as if she had no weight. Killer saw that all on his visor, coming from the cameras of the Buzz as he now worked it to keep Alexis under a check and help her as needed... and he felt his jaw drop as he rapidly lost the count of the floors she was overcoming, her eyes closed and her grin wide and amused as the wind played games with her long, dangling golden hair... and he felt a shiver run along his body as he felt... love. The deepest. The purest. And yet, battle lust. Sex lust, too obviously... she was everything. A challenge, a certainty. A rival, and his supreme allied at the same time. A slave, and yet enchanting, dominating mistress. A moment later, Alexis kicked out her feet and started running vertically up the wall, seeming to slam steps so heavy, so violent... and yet neither the microphones of the Buzz caught sign of her moves, even if she was running up the framework of black-painted steel between the huge windows of the Knife. It was... fucking amazing.

A second at most, and Alexis was running up the wall just in front of his eyes, her speed incredible as she was gone in the space of the flash of gold her hair gave... and his eyes followed her for more than twenty floors still, before he heard a bit of a sorta irritated snort from her in the headsets and she finally stopped making fun of gravity, grasping easily the steely frame to sustain herself and start elegantly climbing the last floors. She never grunts or... makes dumb things at all. He thought dumbly. And she looks always unsatisfied of her stunts. He shook his head softly, grinning wide as he attentively studied the images the Buzz drone was sending: he guided it easily with a finger on the commands of the console at his wrist, and his eyes made sure that behind the windows Alexis was going to climb in front there was no one that could see her.

"You know, you can be so cruel. You humiliated me." Killer said amusedly into the microphone, giving in with any idea of faking to be hurt at all in the same moment he understood fully that he would have never managed such performance.

"That's why that musculature and overall hugeness make you weight like a tank, lover." She countered amusedly. "To each his own. You lift tanks and warships, and I do the agility-stunts." He could swear on his life she was grinning.

"You know, I'm sure you could lift a tank yourself." Killer said, grinning but with seriousness. The strength she used against him in their daily training or, furthermore, when they played in a bed, paradossally, had always amazed him to no end.

"Maybe." She said with predatory amusing that told him she wanted as hell to try at the first chance, which made him shook his head slowly in entertainment. But his eyes picked up a possible threat on the screen. "Stop." He said firmly into the microphone... and Alexis immediately halted her climbing, hanging effortlessly from a thick beam of the framework as she waited for instructions. "An apartment behind the window you are about to pass. Lights turned on, a lot of people. Move to your right of... three windows and go up from there."

She quickly executed, and there were no further problems on her road to the 144° floor: fortunately, most of the Knife was made up by countless businesses and offices, and most of them were closed at night. She easily grasped the edge of the parapet that run around the whole floor, and lifted herself up idly in a perfect vertical... before push herself high into the air, flip in midair twice and land in a silent crouch on the balcony that ran all around the bank. Her sharp eyes picked up each detail with a fast glance: the lights inside were all turned on, and the number of security cameras was amazing... and yet insignificant since currently the whole system was puppetted by Siegfried. Most of the walls of the bank's hall were transparent... but it wasn't a weakness, because it wasn't simple armoured glass, but transparent ballistic ceramic at least a metre thick... and it would have stopped easily even the armour-piercing round fired by a battle tank. She only grinned a bit, anyway, walking comfortably along the balcony to the back of the bank, on the other side of the building, and her grin grew wider when she found what she was looking for: two thick armoured doors placed side to side in the thick wall, each with a double scanner panel as lock: fingerprint scanner, and a much more advanced retina scanner.

It was what they waited for, anyway. A recon team of the SRS had long warned them about that kind of technologic security systems, and in her little talk with Kaufman, she had made sure to get all what she needed to overcome these locks. "Alexis, the fingerprint scanner is ready. You know what to do." Siegfried communicated calmly, monitoring each move of the queen on his screen thanks to the camera mounted on her visor as she reached the doors and produced a mobile-phone sized scanner device from her pocket, grinning a bit as she carefully verified what finger was needed on the lock... and skipped on the pages in the memory of the scanner to find the right one. Get Kaufman to touch the little device had been easy... and she had managed to get a scan of his whole hand as well, by rapidly making a scansion of the goblet he had held in his hand for most of the time at the first occasion. She lightly pressed the screen of the device on the lock system, and a soft blue light come from it as it scanned not a real finger but a special screen capable to reproduce a 3D image so accurate to be impossible to recognize as fake. In fact, her grin spread a bit wider as a green light turned on over the door, at the side of the still red one of the retina scanner.

She moved the same device up to the eye-scanner in the door, and repeated the process, exploiting the 3D photo of Kaufman's eyes that had almost cost her a kiss to the ursine... and her grin faded in a grimace for a moment even if the second light turned green and the door started opening itself, sliding upwards along solid, armoured rails placed in the thickness of the massive wall. The level of protection was amazing... the wall was more than a metre thick, and made of granite... and probably had an internal layer of titanium, plus another of copper, so to protected the data exchanged inside the building from micro-spies and other spying devices by interrupting their capability to transmit.

Alexis walked inside, careful in order to spot other possible alarms, since Siegfried had not hacked the whole system, yet... and then she snorted-laughter a bit as she reached a plain, thick and massive wooden door with golden handles and a high-security model, old-fashioned lock. "Siegfried...?"

"Huh...?" The white tiger answered idly from the other side, still busy at working at his computer and.

"You found hints of noise-sensors or something...?" She asked gently, a grin slowly spreading on her muzzle.

"Yes, but they were rather easy to knock out of service. I've already hacked that part." He said idly, not really caring to look up at the screen in the corner of his console to look to what she was about to do.

Alexis slammed a kick into the massive door, making even Killer wince on the network radio as he heard the wood and the steel inside crack and bend as the door exploded out of its hinges, bringing out even chunks of the wall as it fell with a booming rumble on the floor and skid several feet into the room behind as the femme fatale walked casually inside, grinning amusedly. "Perfect." She said on the radio, grinning as she looked around herself to see she had apparently emerged into the personal office of Kaufman inside the bank. An office that had walls wrapped into panels of precious, dark wood covered with precious pictures of enormous value... and an enormous desk that looked clearly like megalomania considering it was even bigger than Killer's one back at home... and Kaufman was not as tall as the waist of the huge male. Alexis was undecided between laugh and make a grimace of disgust. She quickly pushed away the massive black armchair of the ursine, starting to rapidly search into the drawers to see if she could find anything useful. She took with her a mobile phone and all the documents she found, then rapidly walked to the door of the office that lead to the bank's hall itself, well knowing that she had no chances to get to useful data from the computer sitting on the desk... surely, even if it was the president's terminal, the access to the database was limited and protected in any way... She needed to reach the servers themselves and access to the data from there.

The hall of the bank was illuminated like a funfair, the neon lights well set into the elegant, wooden panelled ceiling reflecting into the white marble of the floor, making everything shiny... and she made a bit of a face at that, but walked rapidly towards the information desk, easily overcoming the line with its tortuous path of waiting delimited by fancy red ropes... and looked from one of the counters into the thick armoured glass to see if she could spot a door that could lead up to the server's facility on the four floors above... but it wasn't the right path, apparently... "An idea...?"

Killer mumbled a bit, thoughtful, then snapped his fingers a bit. "If I was the president, I'd like to keep everything as much under control as possible. Search near its office again. The door to the servers may be hidden."

Alexis nodded a bit, silently, turning back to the office. The door to Kaufman was flanked on both sides by windows currently obscured with curtains... and the walls were all covered with those damn wooden panels... of course, one may hide a door... She reached up a hand and flicked on the thermal scanner in the visor, her sight immediately turning to white and black as her eyes roved over the walls... and she grinned as she rapidly found a panel much colder than the others, to the right of Kaufman's office.

"Thanks, lover." She said softly when she kicked open this door as well, finding a small spiral staircase of concrete, flanked by an even smaller, simple elevator. She chose the stairs, not wanting to risk with a possible system of security or something fitted into the elevator, and rapidly run up the spiral.

Killer was still seat down on the roof of the Octagon, leaning against the pillar of the camera and looking up to the illuminated floor of the bank in the Knife, an idle smile playing about his muzzle as his eye followed the images coming to his visor from Alexis's one when Siegfried's voice come on the net, clearly worried. "Killer, Alexis. This whole system isn't working right... that's why it takes so long to hack it."

Killer made a bit of a face, frowning in surprise as he opened his mouth to talk... and Alexis steamrolled him with the same words he was about to say. "What the hell means ‘not working right', Cold...?" Her tone was both amused and exasperated, and Killer smiled at that with a little nod.

"It means we have company." Siegfried said flatly, making Killer frown a bit more as Alexis made a face while skipping with a jump a long ramp of stairs. "Someone has already hacked the system... and it looks like they keep hacking and mutating it, as well, to keep me out of the servers zone."

"Oh, fantastic." Killer muttered. "We plan for once to do a fine, clean work, and we step into a three-way with a bank robber or something. Alexis, be careful. He might be in your same zone."

Alexis nodded a bit to herself as she reached the top of the stairs and slipped in the shadows to her side, looking with rage and surprise down the enormous corridor of white-painted steel that lead to the servers... and saw the half-a-metre-thick shutter of steel closed and pierced by an enormous hole of a good nine feet of diameter. "Whoever it is, it's here." She said simply into the microphone before rapidly walk to the shutter and lean her back against it, pulling out both her Desert Storms and fitting rapidly over the barrel the standard digital aiming sight of the Predators outfit, a system made up of a day/night tactical sight with a 1.5x zoom, laser range-finder and a small digital camera linked to the visor. She turned both sights on, the images from her weapons coming up to her visor as she aimed one carefully over the edge of the hole, remaining behind solid cover. Absurdly, the enormous railings of steel that made up the last obstacle to the server room was closed and intact. Apparently, no one was there. "What the hell..." Alexis muttered, moving cautiously to reach the hole in the steely wall, bending down to step through it.

She emerged on the other side, arms going out to the sides to aim the weapons in the two blind corners, her glance going from side to side lighting fast and fingers ready on the triggers of the massive guns... but, once more, nothingness faced her. She instinctively rose her eyes to rove on the ceiling... reflex caused by the fact she had herself many times ambushed enemies from equilibrist's positions up there... but this wasn't the case... and she aimed both weapons forwards as she walked to the cancel and looked up to see the voice-sensor she expected to find, soon or later. She turned on the voice-synthesizer prepared for the mission, and said clearly: "Bertram Kaufman, President". She grinned when her voice was mutated perfectly into the ursine's one... even if it gave her some disgust as well... but she had a bad feeling about the whole thing. This is so not going to work...

The machine biped, and the zig-zag line of the vocal spectrum of Kaufman come on a small screen, where the one registered from Alexis's words was over-imposed on it... and it beeped again, flashing in green. But suddenly, the light turned red instead, and an unknown voice come out of the machine. "Sorry, Alexis Archer, queen of Kesteven. That was the right password. Until I changed it." A female's voice, even if somehow deep and almost masculine... and horribly, darkly amused.

Alexis snarled, firing instinctively a .50 round into the machine, turning it to dust and crackling cables as she backstepped a bit in rage and surprise... and then that voice was back again, and for the horror of both her, Siegfried and Killer, it was directly over the Joint Warriors network, into their headsets. "Don't you take it so badly. It's the business. I can't allow you further forwards..." The unknown girl said, her voice taunting and even more amused as she played with them... "...nor backwards." She added then, suddenly, and three both snarled as the voice this time speak directly into their heads. Alexis snarl turned even more furious when she turned back and saw another railing descend from the ceiling and slam into the floor, sealing itself and closing her in a true cage of steel.

The blond female sprinted forwards anyway, reaching the first railings and grabbing the wrist-thick bars of cold steel with a snarl as she pulled out to sides as hard as she could, her toned muscles flexing as she put her huge strength to work, the bars screaming the horrible shriek of metal as they bent... "I don't know who the hell you are, bitch... but there's no way a slut like you can stop me." She growled, a grin gaining her muzzle as she succeeded in the enterprise as sheer power rolled in her veins and in her muscles... And then the voice in her head spoke again, softly, patronizingly. Hateful. "You cannot image what I could do to you... bitch."

Immediately, Alexis's snarl turned louder, almost a scream of agony as electricity cracked down the bars with terrible voltage... but she did not let go, her strength devastating even if her body spasmed in agony, her fangs gritted in a fury she had rarely experimented and even Killer's worried voice coming from her headsets sounding far and not enough to calm her down... and the rumble of an explosion sounded and echoed around her as the bars in her hands bent entirely and broke neatly in two, the blond femme fatale falling forwards exhausted... but still ready enough put her arms forwards, in front of her body, changing her fall in an elegant roll and ending up on her feet, standing, even if shakily as the current still crackled around her form for a moment.

She panted for a few seconds, bending forwards and leaning against the wall with a hand as her other one irritably combed a bit her long, golden mane, before she turned to look around herself and try to see what could have been that explosion... and she found herself staring at the corridor in shock: the thick layer of steel and copper on the walls had been bent outwards like a sheet of paper... and so the ceiling and the floor, the thick structure of reinforced concrete below showing deep, wide cracks... and both the railings and the colossal shutter had been pierced across and nearly knocked down entirely, now hanging miserly from a few straining connections that hadn't yet given in but would have very soon. "Wow..." Alexis breathed dumbly, blinking a bit... but neither Killer could laugh, even as he saw and heard her on the visor for the first time ever shocked and actually acting stupidly.

"Love...? Was that... you...?" The huge male asked, staring in amazement at the images of such devastation coming to his visor.

"Not sure..." But likely. She grinned for a fleeting moment. Gee. I hope it was me. Alexis grunted, before turn to the other side and sprint down the last metres before the servers, emerging on a wide balcony that run all around an enormous pool filled of clear, cool water. She was on the 150° floor, now, and in front of her eyes were the servers, two giant, block-of-flats-sized parallelepipeds painted of black and submerged into water to keep them cool. The whole complex of computers and pool filled all the space down to the 145° floor, just over the bank... and in front of her, a long bridge of steel lead to an enormous terminal sitting on a platform on top of the two servers, placed side to side. The whole, enormous room was illuminated, blue lights made clear even the water, down to the depths of the pool... but the console was hidden in slight darkness... and someone was bent over the computers, already getting access to the data Alexis and Killer wanted.

Alexis sprinted immediately along the bridges, hands holstering with flash's speed the two pistols in favour of Blue Vixen as she tore the blue blade out of the sheath on her back with a hand... and the figure behind the computers straightened, shining green eyes staring up at her in surprise for a moment. "Would you ever learn...?" The same voice of earlier boomed across the huge room as white fangs flashed under those eyes... and then, the green Alexis saw disappeared in a flash and the bridge under her feet seemed to simply explode, falling in pieces under her feet as she felt a huge force slam into her body, slamming her backwards even as she jumped.

Alexis grunted at the immense force slamming into her, but don't let her concentration or strength fade as she jumped over the long, wide pool, feet kicking off the falling bridge before she landed on the console's platform, Blue Vixen ready to strike. "Try to teach me..." She snarled, advancing of a few steps in the darkness with decision, fangs discovered in a vicious grin. "...If you think you can deal with me."

The unknown female licked her lips as she backstepped to push a few buttons more on the console, holding up a hand towards Alexis, who suddenly felt air become hard as a wall against her charge, her movements slowing as she snarled... "I'd like too, tigress bitch. But currently I'm in a hurry. And you are in troubles." A mischievous grin, and the unknown had her finger going for a big, red button, your movie-like Alarm button.

"Stop the fucking alarm, Siegfried! Tear it off!" Alexis snarled, her fury rising again to amazing levels... and the unknown turning to her in surprise before being knocked backwards with a grunt as if she had been hit by a giant's punch, a shockwave coming from the snarling tigress and making water tremble in waves as the whole room shook a bit, Alexis's charge once more of her usual, amazing speed... but the green-eyed girl reached up a hand and slammed her fist into the red button, grinning fleetingly before kick herself in a backwards flip in midair as Blue Vixen struck where she had been a blink before... And the unknown landed on her feet in perfect balance over the narrow railing of the platform before immediately leap away again with a formidable jump that made her cross the width of the pool, landing near a huge hole in the thick, armoured wall. When Alexis raised the Blue Vixen to fire with the submachine gun hidden in the handle, she was already gone.

"Fuck." Alexis muttered darkly, wishing like hell to follow the stranger but forcing herself to stick to the mission... before remembering the alarm had been pushed. She sat down in front of the console and started typing commands at the control panel as she put the special double-layer DVD that the Predators had prepared with the software to hack the database and link it on the satellite network of Kesteven in order to find and steal all the useful data... and she set better the microphone in front of her mouth, slightly relieved of the fact there weren't horns and alarms and sirens going wild. "You managed to exclude the alarms from the system...?"

"I think I did, yes." Siegfried answered tiredly and morbidly, rather upset of the turn that events were taking. "But I don't like the control that... thing or girl or whatever has on the system there. I think we need to improvise something to make sure the alarms don't start up suddenly and call there half of the world. Killer...?"

"A good diversion coming." He grinned as he stood up cheerfully. "I was just getting bored of having nothing to do." He continued as he walked towards the chopper and idly rolled his shoulders, cracking his neck.

"Wasn't I giving a good show, lover...?" Alexis asked playfully over the radio... and Killer grinned wider, snorting-laughter. "You are scary. What the hell did you do there...?"

"Dunno." Alexis replied amusedly, grinning herself. "I'm turning on the link with your visor... show off a bit, huh...?"

"Of course I'll do..." He grinned as he grasped the muzzle of the helicopter parked on the pad, his claws sinking into the metallic hull as his hold bent and shattered the fuselage... and then he growled lowly and deeply when he arched his back and lifted the whole chopper, pulling hard upwards and tearing the cables of steel that held the vehicle well ensured to the floor like they were strings of cotton. He walked easily to the edge of the chopper's pad, and cared to reach the side of the hanging bridge that connected the two skyscrapers... before hurl down with a snarl the shopper and staring as it fell down heavily. It smashed into the crystal-made tunnel bridge, shattering the glass to slivers and destroying the structure of tubes of steel that sustained it, effectively breaking the whole bridge in two as everything continued to fell down the remaining 74° floors of free fall.

Killer stopped staring at the show anyway, jumping straight across the space between the two skyscrapers and aiming at the gaping end of the shattered tunnel-bridge on the Knife's side as Siegfried in his headset grumbled something like: "Wasn't exactly what I was thinking of..." And then Killer closed his eyes and crossed his muscular arms in front of himself as he smashed across a closed gate of steel he hadn't forecasted but was used to further isolate the Knife at night.

The huge white liger shattered this down with no problems, anyway, landing in an easy roll that brought him back to his feet, in the middle of a dark, red-carpeted corridor. "Need help up there...?"

Alexis shook her head a bit. "No, lover... And anyway, I'm very sorry, but I'm afraid we got little info of what we could have gained. I'm transmitting everything on our satellite... but that bitch apparently erased most of the data or transferred it, along with most of the bank's capital. I don't think I can undo the translation of the money, either... but I'm trying to find out where she sent it. I'll be done in a second. Try and see if you can get an idea of where the damned slut is.

"Doing it already." Came his amused answer... and she typed other fast commands into the terminal, trying to find the route of the last translation. Finally, a map of the world came up on the screen, a red dot marking Roxburgh and an as well red line drawing itself as she managed to harpoon the last signals sent and follow them. "New Tears City... Lunis... Seawing... Calpurnia..." Her victorious grin faded a bit as the line started to join the capitols of many nations, never coming to a stop. Whoever the stranger was, she had made sure to transfer the money with a tortuous way of translations that would have practically made nearly impossible to go back to the source once completed... "...Glacial..." She murmured, gritting her fangs in pain at the thought of her gone homeland, her hand squeezing the mouse with nearly enough violence for it to explode in slivers. "...Mottram... the fortress of Chattam..." She made a face. How could she have an access to a communication link in Chattam, one of the most secure fortresses in the whole words...? Her eyes then followed the red line as it once more departed, moving to east further... and the screen went black and her mind ached terribly, making her snarl in pain as she shut her eyes tight, hands grasping her temples.

"You are so damn stubborn!" Again. That voice was again in her mind, growling hungrily, and now sending chills of pain in her whole body as she stood and snarled. "I cannot let you see or know anymore. It's already too much." The voice continued, and sheer agony run through Alexis's flesh, deadly weakness spreading in her muscles, her huge strength fading as even her heart slowed, her breath harsh and her lungs burning desperately in lack of oxygen. Even her hands started moving against her own will, the control on her body fading, sliding away from her, the world fading around her, changing to darkness as she staggered, her legs walking against her will towards the edge of the pool... A step... One more... Everything hurt so badly... Would have not been a liberation to just... fall into the water and drown towards peace...? Her dying conscience shouted, roared a no, but her legs played against her, walking forwards another shaky step... You want to die. You need to die... The pain in her chest reached levels indescribable... and yet, the pain got once more infinitely worse when the voice of the unknown, now the voice of her own mind, somehow, said maliciously: "Die. Give yourself dignity once in your life. He doesn't loves you." That hurt more than anything else, than any blow, than any wound, that any never-experienced pain that was now being unleashed into her body... "The most you could ever wish to be, is his whore. But you are too useless a whore even for that..."

"Fuck off my head, asshole!" Alexis roared with burning, hellishly fury, and her eyes flashed with a rage that had no precedents... and she felt something suddenly break inside herself... but it wasn't a bad feeling... not a chill... not a pain... not a shiver... No. It was... beautiful... a soft, warm caress like Killer's ones... a breath of life... a wave of warm heat that run down her spine, setting peace back in her tortured body, new power flooding in her flesh, in her muscles, and even in her mind, knocking out of her being whatever form of control the stranger was trying to achieve, a barrier of burning hellfire rising a curtain of walls, of fortifications around her mind and soul that no one would have ever overcome again... Unless it was... I love you. I always loved you. And I will always love you. His voice. What a breath of heaven being given her... "Killer." She breathed, her eyes snapping open as she panted hard, finding herself standing on the edge of the pool... an aura of blue, warm light surrounding her as her golden hair slowly and silently spin behind her head in a wind that was made not of air, but of energy.

"I dunno who the fuck you are..." Alexis snarled, closing in a fist her left hand, blue energy crackling in lightnings from between her fingers... her other hand squeezing tight the handle of Blue Vixen, that strange blue light making the blade glow like never before... and like nothing on earth could... "...But you are fucking making me angry." She turned to the console nearby, the computers sabotaged by whatever weird power the green eyed stranger had... and she half stepped forwards to pull out her DVD from the reader and leave no signs of her passage, but the computer all but exploded in front of her flashing eyes, the miraculously unharmed DVD coming to her and stopping in midair in front of her surprised eyes... and she grasped it with two fingers, not even letting go her sword as she easily pushed the disc in a pocket of her jacket and sprinted towards the hole torn in the thick wall as the sapphire aura around her slowly faded back into her being. I don't know what's happening to me... But I feel a whole new power in me... She kicked her way outside in the open air, finding herself in perfect balance on an-inch wide cornice of chiselled steel protruding from the building... and she automatically glanced upwards, to the highest floors of the Knife, an intuition striking her... and a track that was no noise, no smell and no sight but yet was so clear on her senses told her that all the three things she was searching were in the same place. Information and data, in the form of Bertram Kaufman. The stranger. And her beloved lover. She KNEW, for sure, where to find all.

She jumped, almost idly kicking off the tight cornice, and rose in the air with the speed and elegance of a bullet, leaping up even higher than the attic sitting tens of floors above, on top of the audacious Knife's form... and she flipped thrice in the air before land like the feline she was in perfect balance on the railing of Kaufman's spectacular balcony, arms out to either side, flames of her blue aura idly burning around her form for a second as she stepped down from the railing while she was stepping down the curb, walking to the armoured windows of the attic, her eyes focused.

Once more, that new, strange sense told her that Kaufman and the stranger were inside... Killer, instead, no. But he was coming rapidly... he could sense his... nooo. Could that be his power, that heat she could feel... That light she could see in her mind...? Such burning, half-gold and half-darkness aura, such power that she was almost scared of it... But yes... he was... and she could feel thousands of presences around her... so much it was almost hard on her mind to bear... but most of them, were weak and insignificant auras. Like Kaufman's one... a pathetic, grey and anonym ghost light that had no heat and feelings connected... and that seemed to tremble and fade out of existence like the small flame of a candle when the winds roars strong... and the wind, the hurricane coming, was Killer. She grinned darkly, then focused on the stranger's presence... she was too inexperienced with such new perceptions, and she don't quite managed to get herself a clear idea of the strength of the dark-blue aura of the unknown female... but it sure wasn't a force to be underestimated. And worst, she didn't know yet nor the power of her enemy, nor the strange new abilities that somehow had grown into her and that she couldn't really control.

Anyway, there was no time to loose. The fact that Kaufman and the stranger were together wasn't a good sign, in no one of the possible cases... Alexis advanced with prudence, all her senses on alert as she reached a door that had been smashed open and silently walked inside, past the barrier of the mirror-glass of the large windows, emerging in a wide living room that two gigantic sofa facing each other across a low table of massive wood, two armchair sitting at the heads of the same wooden surface. The personal elevator of Kaufman was on her left... and from there she could feel the wonderful heat of the burning Killer's aura getting nearer, so strong that she was surprised the metal wasn't literally melting... and she advanced further, getting nearer to the other two presences she felt as she reached a corner... and quickly turned around that, levelling Blue Vixen to aim her submachine gun at the stranger, who immediately rose a submachine gun towards the tigress, both females moving with the rapidity of a lightning and aiming their respective weapons to their foreheads... but no one of the two fired, glaring in each other eyes in a challenge that could not be so easily ended.

"Let. The. Fatass. Go." Alexis snarled each single word as the shining, deadly tip of her sword aimed directly at the throat of the stranger, who was grinning from over Kaufman's whimpering and crying head, holding him steady in an iron grip. The blond femme, that had never been so fatale like in that moment, and in every possible sense of the word, looked over Kaufman as the poor bastard trembled like a leaf, the right arm of the stranger keeping him steady easily by wrapping around his neck as a heavy, as she kept Alexis under her aim with the left... before she glanced over the dangerous rival herself as she finally come revealed in the warm light of the luxurious, gigantic attic.

She was young, and Alexis knew suddenly and without an apparent reason that she had twenty years... And she was a Doberman, standing at roughly nine feet of height, an height that was very impressive for her species and for most, her fur black with brown on her inner body, legs and arms... brown the most of her muzzle as well. Her body was, in two words, strong and beautiful... she showed a strong, enviable musculature, bulkier than Alexis's one and almost as toned... Despite the muscle mass, anyway, she still retained a great beauty, and her forms were ones that made girls along the streets cry in envy. Seductive, curving legs, sinuous hips and big, firm breasts. Her grinning muzzle was sharp and smart, her eyes a brilliant emerald, and she had hair black as her fur, gathered together in a pony-tail that come down to her shoulder blades, a few tufts coming forwards to shadow her eyes from between her pointed ears, spotted of light brown on the tip. A thick, silver collar was around her neck... and Alexis knew immediately, with horror and shock together, that she had seen a jewel very similar on Riaku, protecting his Spirit device, implanted on his spine in the neck... She has one as well. I'm sure. I dunno why, but I'm sure. And that's no good. She was wearing a plain black top moulded tight on her huge breasts, long black gloves, ridiculously short and very tight black pants kept up by means of a big leathery belt and black combat boots that had the tip and the toe-sides armoured with plates of black steel, the leather coming up to half of her thighs but wrapping so tight to show perfectly her legs anyway. For what Alexis could see, she had several tattoos on her form: swirling black flames were drawn low on her brown belly, showing up themselves from where they stood just over her sex from the very-low waist of her pants... while a Yin-Yang symbol was drawn in red on her right shoulder and red flames come from the back of her neck almost to her throat on both sides.

I should get some... Alexis's attention was caught strangely by the drawings on her body... and even if she had never even thought before to tattoo something on herself, she surprised herself with that thought as she stepped forwards a bit more, her eyes cold and focused as the Doberman grinned and squeezed even more on the bear's neck, making him whimper and cry loudly as he tried in vain to pull her arm loose with both of his own.

"I'm glad we at least share the same opinion of this sack of shit..." The female said, effortlessly lifting the fat bear up in the air, his kicking pathetically and missing as she struck an hard blow with her knee in his spine, making him spit dark blood and drool as he chocked and cried in agony...

"Vera Raider. Age, twenty." Siegfried's voice come into Alexis's headsets as he looked over the images coming from the queen's visor and provided back all the info he could gather up, appearing in the queen's visor in a small screen in the corner. I was right... how could I knew with such certainty what her age was... and why I can feel she will not fire at me so clearly and surely, even if she aims at me...? How can I know...?

"We don't have a lot to say about her... we weren't even sure of her existence so far, but we had a few largely incomplete identikits and relations from many organizations, included the International Police. She is suspected to be a serial killer, responsible of at least a thousand... deaths." Siegfried said, feeling awkward as he tried to explain the weird data coming on his screen from the Predators's databases. "Apparently, they were all suicides... and no proof was ever to be found against her, but..."

"Ok, genius. Fuck off and I'll tell you of me by myself. It's gonna work better." The taunting, playful voice that Alexis was learning to know â€" and hate â€" so well spoke once more directly into the headset, the Doberman only grinning and staring at her silently, and the blond tigress managed to see the shocked look on Siegfried's face before the small screen faded away to static for a moment, before return carrying images of the stranger. These images... are her memories... who she really is...? How she can do all this...? "I'm indeed Vera Raider... or, as many know me, the Suicide-Maker." Both the Vera in the screen and the one standing in front of Alexis grinned wider, before the voice returned. "And the "suicides" related to me are many more than just that, if you really want to know... I'm both serial killer and hacker. And you, Alexis, are the first and only one that somehow resists to my... power of ‘persuasion'."

The images faded out of the visor, leaving Alexis growling as she gritted her teeth, Vera grinning cheerfully...

Before anything else could happen or be said, anyhow, the golden doors of the elevator all but exploded in bent pieces out of their hinges as Killer kicked them open with his foot, holding himself easily with a hand on the thick, steely rope as his other hand aimed a Desert Storm towards the Doberman. He easily jumped out of the lift, landing on his feet into the room and walking calmly forwards as he pointed the massive pistol to the forehead of the stranger, grinning wide as he reached Alexis's side. "Now, I had been promised with some threesome games at the end of the mission... but I wasn't expecting the blessing of another..." He looked over the female canine with interest and appreciation, battle lust and sex lust together in his eyes. "...Player." He concluded, licking his lips teasingly as Alexis grinned wider, snorting laughter.

Vera grinned, and then tilted her head a bit to the side as her emerald eyes roved over his powerful body with such lust that Killer could almost feel its soft caress roll along his form. "I'd love to play some games with you, legend... but I don't think I'll have the chance to, before having to kill both of you." Then she glared down to the ursine silently and desperately weeping in fear and confusion in her strong hold, and she made a disgusted face before let her arm loosen, the bear falling stupidly and bonelessly on his ass... only to be kicked hard in the gut and sent rocketing on the floor to slam into the nearby wall, just under one of the huge windows that gave full view on the whole Roxburgh town, the glass trembling as he hit violently and shrieked in agony. "You can discharge yourself, worthless ass. The NWOA doesn't needs you any longer... and you had a too long and easy fucking tongue anyway." She snarled, her eyes flashing... And Alexis felt a strange chill in the air, seeing in her mind Vera's aura flicker and grow larger, a lightning connecting it to Kaufman's dying one... And the tigress growled in surprise as the bear quickly straightened back on his feet, turning to the window and opening it.

"Say hello, bitch." Vera snarled, her eyes flashing a bit once more... and the bear turned to the two tigers and waved a hand idly in an empty salute. Killer gaped a bit in surprise and shock, not understanding... while Alexis noticed with horror how Kaufman's eyes had... vanished, leaving empty white lights in his sockets... and she could almost see behind that light, see the bear trapped inside himself, succumb to the same terrible agony she had experienced earlier...

He is not controlling himself... "Lover, stop him! He'll jump!" Alexis shouted, sprinting forwards in a charge to push her sword into Vera's exposed throat... but she backstepped with amazing ease and elegance, twisting to the side and vanishing behind one of the columns of red marble that decorated the whole attic, her hand raising to fire a short burst of bullets from her submachine gun in one only lighting-fast, graceful move. Alexis ducked, the rounds hissing in the air just over her golden hair... And Vera appeared already behind her shoulders, grinning as her eyes flashed towards Killer. "Dream, big boy... and beware the nightmares."

"No!" Alexis snarled, spinning on herself, balancing on one foot only as she slashed her sword in a vicious arc at waist level that easily cut in two the huge column but missed as once more Vera moved like a shadow. More than by that, anyway, Alexis was horrified seeing Killer's wonderful blue eyes turn fully white as well, empty even if luminous as they always were... and the giant, muscular warrior fell forwards on his knees from the easy leap forwards he had done to try and grasp Kaufman... as the liger rested in that absurd way, his back arched a bit backwards and his head leaning forwards on his potent chest, the ursine vanished out of the window and fell a one-way ticket travel to Hell down the immense skyscraper.

"You..." She snarled in rage, turning rapidly back to Vera as she now come forwards to attack herself, not even finding a word to define the mysterious female as she rose Blue Vixen in front of her body to parry a vicious slash of the long rapier sword the Doberman had unsheathed from a leathery case on her back. Vera forced down over Alexis with all her might, snarling as both hands pushed the blade downwards... but this time Alexis grinned as her immense strength forced back successfully... And as soon as she caught hint of a chance to, she slashed hard forwards and upwards, twisting the large blade of her blue blade as she attacked, Vera's own blade suddenly sliding down the side of Blue Vixen to get stuck against the black handle Alexis was holding. The Doberman's eyes opened wide in surprise as she twisted to the side, avoiding the first slash... and then breaking the contact with a fast backwards flip as the tigress pushed again towards her, aiming the submachine gun of the sword at her face.

Both females gracefully stood again, facing themselves with growls of rage, before Vera let her grin return to crest her muzzle as she stared straight across at Alexis. "I'd like to stay more and see who of us can do best at this game... but it's time to leave, before get caught in the mess. I'll let you follow your love in Nightmare's world... and when the police come, they'll complete the work for me. With you two out of the game, the world is out as well."

Alexis snarled a bit at that, ready to strike at her as she sprinted forwards... and Vera's eyes flashed.

She could see the dark blue aura of the Doberman in her mind grow larger and brighter before it exploded in a lightning towards her... and she growled in rage against that unknown power that had knocked down even Killer... but she continued to charge, feeling her aura grew stronger as well... And then her head ached hard for a fleeting sliver of second as she felt their two forces collide in a clash of titans... but her sapphire aura glowed, sealing herself in defence in her mind... and she grinned as she understood she was, somehow, impervious to such attacks. Her grin all but spread wider at the sudden expression of shock in Vera's eyes as the Doberman backstepped in what was almost terror, barely managing to stop her slash with her own blade.

"You... You are immune..." She said with shock, pushed back by another hard blow of Blue Vixen as Alexis grinned wider.

"I prefer a sword over that fancy shit."

Killer found himself in a different twist of reality. All what had surrounded him until just the very moment before, had vanished, leaving him in a world that was bare of anything... a huge, endless expanse of glowing white that had no ground and no sky and that surrounded him, oppressed him with its nothingness and sheer immensity. But his first reaction would have left Vera shocked as he snorted irritably and tilted his head to the side, swaying a bit on the spot as he stood, powerful shoulders slumping a bit in what was exasperation... and boredom. "Nooo... not again..." He grumbled, looking around himself idly. He had already experienced the terrible effects of a warrior capable to twist reality by sneaking into one's mind, attacking underhandly and horribly from the deepest of the rival being itself, overcoming in one easy move all the defenses and threats that a body as powerful as Killer's one represented. He hated that... the first time had lasted two days, and had been horrible, stealing him all of his strength and putting him in the middle of a crowded university, dealing with academics... that he often feared more than guns, when it come to subjects like math, that he absolutely loathed. It had been an experience terrible... and humiliating, because even knowing that he was inside an illusion, he couldn't help but feel terribly embarrassed at the looks of derision of the non-students part of the illusion whenever he did something wrong... I'm never going to forget those... students... and humiliating also because he had been trapped in his own mind by an ugly little bitch of no physical power at all that he could have smashed in fight to puddings with an idle punch. Damned Marianne... Kill her, in fact, had been easy when they had got out of the damn illusion by killing Marianne's monstrous self in the illusionary world.

He grinned, remembering those moments so horrible and humiliating... and yet so precious memories in his mind, since he had not been alone. Zerrex had been with him... and it had admittedly been a fortune, since the Drakkaren warrior had much greater knowledge of such kind of powers and abilities that Killer had thought legends for so long time. After all, he lives with Cherry... and she has some scary ability herself, definitely. He thought amusedly. He killed the monster-Marianne by chopping her head off... may I need to find and fight an illusionary Vera...?

He walked forwards slowly, thoughtful, cursing idly under his breath as he looked around to see nothing more than empty white spaces. "Oh, come on, bitch. I may even decide to let you suck me off if you cut this short and show yourself up. I'm not in the mood for hide and seek foreplay."

"Interesting proposal." Vera voice's boomed across the whole illusionary world... and two gigantic eyes snapped open in the nothingness, staring teasingly down at him from the empty "sky", glowing in bright emerald light. "But I have a counterproposal. May I show you the future that waits ahead of you...?"

Killer snorted a bit, but then turned in surprise to his side as light noise of steps come to his ears... and he found Alexis, enchanting in her usual, incredible beauty, her grin predatory and taunting as she always was, and he smiled...

But the blond femme fatale made a grimace of disgust in front of his smile, looking at him like you'd look to a cockroach... a disgusting bug to be crushed as soon as possible as she sidestepped idly, avoiding any contact with him by a meter at the very least as she walked forwards...

And Killer's eyes went wide with shock and with the most terrible of agonies tearing across his soul... his heart crumbled to pieces as his heartbeat went wild, and then started to die down towards nothingness, each beat sounding like a death bell in the white world around him as it trembled and shrunken smaller, tighter, to crush him. Killer had never even dared to imagine a similar pain could exist. His whole being was wrapped in white-hot fire, and in the same time trapped into the coldest ice as thousands of deadly blades slashed against him... And his eyes widened in horror as he roared in agony, looking down to see his whole body being suddenly torn open by tens of deep wounds that dripped blood as he staggered, trying to follow Alexis... but the more he followed her, the more she seemed to get far... And a further spear pierced across him as Alexis turned a bit and spoke coldly from over her shoulder. "World would be nothing without love... But since my heart is occupied, your love for me now has to die. You are not enough for me. Not anymore. Learn it."

It cannot be... She's not her. You KNOW this is an illusion... But the pain would not go away, only get worse. His eyes would not close. Only stare, and weep as Alexis kneeled in front of the huge figure of a muscular male he couldn't see the face of... Then she stood, wrapped her arms passionately around the unknown, and kissed him deeply, hungrily... his huge hands squeezing at her body, owner of her whole, angelic body... and then both her and him were looking at him and laughing cruelly, each sound adding a new unbearable agony on his being...

"She is her. And this is your future. Alexis will betray you... help her new lover kill you, as well. She will get rid of you without a single tear of regret." Vera's voice said, shocking the whole world like a thunder, like the voice of an almighty God... And then her voice was in his head, erasing his will as her taunting words sent chills of agony and rage down his form. "Kill her. Kill Alexis. Kill the bitch and you'll be safe."

You are trying to use me... to use me against the one I love more than my same life. The one I gave my life to. No. I'll never move a finger against her. I'll never harm her... no matters what happens.

The voice of Vera laughed cruelly, and it multiplied itself in his mind as again it ordered him to attack Alexis, to make shreds of her, to crush her... And every word sent agony in his form... Every word was like ten blades piercing all the way across his body and across his soul...

But then, suddenly, all the echoing voices died away, even the laughter of Alexis becoming as his agony come nearly to a stop... and a terrible roar sounded in the illusion, making the whole world shiver and tremble and suddenly widen up as to make up space even if Alexis kept lowering herself in front of the giant male in the distance, letting him put a leash around her neck as she nuzzled at his crotch... But the pain was subsiding, the wounds over Killer healing as the left half of the world turned black in the deepest of darkness... the liger being the point of contact as his right side shined in light, and on the left the dark reigned sovereign.

And the warrior tiger stared right at his left side once more, shock filling him again as a black shadow torn free from his body, roaring that powerful verse of might and merciless hunger of slaughtering as it slowly separated from his body, powerful muscles rippling to life as a masculine form appeared... and suddenly, another Killer was standing at his side, his fur black as the darkest night, his eyes the same sapphire, but alight with cruelty, thirst of blood and self-confidence unmatched. An aura of darkness so black it would have made look even the darkest night shiny crackled around him... blood stained his hands and his armor and covered the entire blade of the obscure Wyvern he was holding in a hand... He was a god... The power resting in his form was enough to shake the whole illusion even as he just stood there and he stared in the distance as well, only grinning cruelly.

"You are so weak. So vulnerable. Your earth and your mind are your weak points..." The Black Killer said with low, booming voice, not even bothering to look to his side to Killer. Everything in him spoke of might and certainty of the victory... but it was so cruel as well... That cannot be me, either... No... I cannot be this cruel. Say me I'm not...

"You'll never learn that ‘love' means weakness, will you, little bro...?" The almighty obscure Killer spoke softly, and yet, the maliciousness in his voice was crushing. "Never learn to treat Alexis like what she is... just the best fuck that there is. BUT NOTHING MORE!" The creature roared, his fury bringing darkness in the whole world even as Alexis continued to tease the unknown male, now lowering his pants and underwear.

"And your mind." He shook his head with a grimace. "You already experienced this kind of tricks. It was ridiculous, with the powers that lie within you, fall into that trap that time... but being trapped once more shows of much of a WEAK MAGGOT you are." The Black Killer rose a hand and a little, spinning world made of darkness appeared hovering above his palm... and when his eyes flashed, dark chains wrapped around the planet, black flames burning on the surface and a terrible, white-hot aura radiating off the creature as it rose the other hand as well and other worlds, other dimensions appeared only to be tied and devoured as well. "This is the extent of the powers you have. This is what you could do if you only wanted to..."

"I DON'T." Killer growled, his agony continuing, but not because of the illusion now, but for what he knew was real... and horrible. His dark self trying to take over him in that moment of difficulty. He knew well that the Dark Killer would have taken full control at the first chance... and no Vera, no anyone else would have managed to stop him afterwards. I cannot let it do...

The Dark Killer rose a hand to slap him, snarling, and Killer was knocked to the ground by a devastating blow skidding at least one hundred feet away on his back before the strike could even be thrown, only from the will to hurt of his dark essence, who was looking down at him with utter distaste, his muscular arm ready and almost trembling for the rage burning into it... But the creature stopped himself and lowered his hand with an irritated snort, Killer being lifted in the air like a leaf and brought back to stare at his darkness, face to face, prisoner of invisible, vise-like hands that handled him like he weighted nothing, making him feel horribly powerless.

"I'll never know how a maggot like you ended up living in my same being." The monster said with utter disgust. "So superior to everything... and yet, so impotent."

But I control you. And you cannot break free. This means I'm not as weak as you think of me. Killer thought, and his Dark self grinned, reading his mind. "You can't hide your thoughts from me, bro... and YES." He growled. "In your dimension, you are still controlling me. And of course you are strong... you are a part of me, after all. But you aren't strong enough to even dream to contain me... It'll not be today that I break free, but the day will come. The day I'll erase the weakness of me. The day I'll erase YOU." He snarled the last word with frightening distaste, his muzzle coming dangerously near to Killer's one as he felt invisible hands squeeze at her neck, making him half-choke as his throat felt crushed.

Dark Killer turned back to Alexis in the distance, Killer being effortlessly moved aside by the invisible hands sustaining him to let to the creature open sight... And the dark monster grinned wider. "It looks like I'll not need to do anything to pull you â€" and furthermore ME â€" out of this mess. Even you can find evident that glitch into this matrix. Have a look."

Killer turned as well... And he saw Alexis all but slavering in front of a huge - and yet nearly insignificant to his eyes in that situation for obvious reasons - 40 inches towering erected member that little could do in comparison to his own gigantic one. He grinned, feeling his strength come back in waves, filling him up again to full energy... and the Dark Killer fused back into his form with a grin as the illusion vanished in a flash of light... and then, everything was darkness.

Killer's eyes snapped open to the sight of Alexis valorously fighting Vera with her sword... and he realized how little time had passed in reality as he sprinted up to his feet rapidly and leapt forwards to join the battle, taking Wyvern out of its sheath and ignoring the open window, well knowing that, as much as he regretted the lost info, he could do anything by now... And he grinned wide when Vera turned towards him in shock at seeing him free of her mind control.

"You undervalue me, bitch. Just because you're used to pencil-dicks, it doesn't means you can steal me half of my cock." He grinned wider as the shock on her face doubled for a moment and Alexis grinned amusedly... and he spoke together with his dark side this time, the Black Killer speaking amusedly from within his body. "And Alexis would never get that slutty for less than seventy-four inches of flesh."

"Of course no." Alexis grinned from her own position on the other side of Vera. "It would mean go back from the god's nectar I'm used to, to normal water... and turn back that way would be impossible."

Vera growled, but apparently did not find anything to counter as she backstepped, her sword held at the ready in front of her body as the two tigers approached... and then she felt her back bump lightly against a closed window. Killer and Alexis grinned... but then their expressions turned to surprise as the Doberman female grinned herself, before laugh openly. "Let's see how you two take up with this other game, then..."

Alexis snarled, feeling the rival's aura shift and twist, understanding what was going to happen much before it actually happened, as Vera's sword rose to parry a slash of Wyvern, showing how much strength she really had... and then, the canine female was growing under their eyes, dark blue aura coming visible not to just Alexis's special sense but to the eyes as well as Vera rapidly gained size and strength, her body growing up rapidly from her original nine feet, soon overcoming even Killer's own height as her muscles grew as well, her overall appearance not changing but becoming more powerful as she reached at least twenty feet of height, until her head brushed against the ceiling, towering over even the huge male liger as the two felines stared at her in surprise... and both snarled as they rose their weapons at the ready. But once again, Alexis's strange new instinct kicked in... and she half turned backwards as she sensed many auras coming rapidly up the stairs, even if still far... and then she turned to Vera, sensing what she was doing to do...

The Doberman lightly slapped the window behind her with a hand, the armoured glass shattering to small shards that fell outwards in a shining rain... And both Alexis and Killer stepped forwards rapidly, closing the distances as their two words slashed forwards... but Vera backstepped just in time, and let herself fall with a laughter.

"She's crazy!" Killer exclaimed, before pull back from the window as a burst of rounds come from Vera's submachine gun to slam into the ceiling and the larger shards of glass left... But Alexis once more mysteriously knew what would have happened.

"We have to follow her." She said neutrally, looking off the window and over the tall buildings of the town... and then she met Killer's eyes. "We can do it."

He stared at her for a moment... they had never even dared to imagine trying such a jump... it was a one-way go idiotic to even fantasize about... but yet, he had total confidence in her. He trusted her entirely... and he smiled a bit as she urged him on. "The guards are all coming here. We must go."

She's right... you both can do it. The darkness he had come to think of as Black Killer said tiredly in his mind, sounding bored and slightly amused at the same time, surprising him as he gave for once an useful info instead of taunting, bloodthirsty suggestions...

"There's no one down there. They will not see us. Don't ask me how I know... just trust me." Alexis continued, stepping to the edge of the broken window and looking up at him... and he nodded with a smile. "I always trust you." He said softly, gaining her side as they looked down... took a deep breath, and stepped in the nothingness as loud rumble of steps started coming from the stairs.

The fall was amazing, and fast. It seemed impossible they could survive to the impact that would have followed as Killer stared down to the horribly-fast approaching ground, starting to see in detail the road below and catching in the sight of the parked cars... before he winced and joined his feet, preparing his body as best as he could to the landing, half-closing his eyes... and then he grunted as he smashed heavily with his feet into a parked car, the blow knocking his spine outwards and making his sight vanish in black haze for a moment as he literally sunk into the vehicle's trunk as the aluminum hull gave in entirely under his weight and the terrible momentum he had gained. The heavy station wagon's front rose in the hair in a mad jump as it nearly flipped over, the metal screamed its creepy whimper and the alarm screaming for a fleeting moment before it too gave in, while the huge male pushed himself forwards in a flip, catching himself on his hands on the asphalt and landing on his feet with a slight, dumb smile that turned into a loud cackle as he casted an amused look over his shoulder at the destroyed car half-sunk in a deep crater in the road. Gods... this surely is good for one's ego...

He even felt his amusement augment, and change in part in sincere amazement as he caught Alexis in his glance: she had landed gracefully in a crouch with the elegance and lightness of a leaf in autumn... and she was now kicking up to her feet, sprinting forwards in a charge towards Vera, who was a good trait ahead and was running for a huge, powerful black motorbike parked just behind a big, white van. Killer caught an identical van on the other side of the road, different only for the color... And that, together with the absolutely abnormal absence of people in a road so central, even if so late at night, made him think that they were heading straight into an ambush... feeling that all but get stronger when he saw most of the windows in the buildings around closed, lights turned off... We're running straight into a trap.

"I know. It's an ambush... I knew before even jump. I know where the snipers are, don't worry for that... and there are a good ten soldiers in each van. Keep ready for whatever may happen." Alexis's voice come into his headset, surprising him entirely as she all but seemed to answer to his unexpressed thoughts... And how she knows...? How can she know...?.

Alexis couldn't help but smile a bit as she somehow caught wind of her lover's thoughts as she caught sight of him in her tunnel vision, grinning as he charged forwards with a reckless, darkly amused grin and battle lust in his eyes, only made more thrilled by the ambush matter as he held Wyvern ready to strike... and then she turned back her attention fully on Vera.

She had made a good sized crater in the roar as well, but she was entirely unharmed... and Alexis ducked neatly in her run as an awareness and an alarm was shouted in her mind as she caught the twist of the Doberman's aura... and when Raider spun on her heel, turning back gracefully with her submachine already perfectly aimed, she found her perfect burst of rounds going wasted, bullets hissing uselessly over Alexis before the tigress straightened.

Vera's emerald eyes flashed with both shock and fury, her fangs gritting in a snarl as she fired again in the same time... But Alexis elegantly jumped to the side in her run even before she could squeeze the trigger at all.

The tigress sensed also the terrible blast of psychic force incoming, anyway, her mind showing her a lightning departing from the Suicide-Maker's aura and pointing straight at her... But her own strange, newfound power caught automatically into gear... and her instinct removing the surprise from all what happened next.

Vera's powers all but threw a van towards Killer and parked car jumping in the air and rocketing like a gigantic bullet towards Alexis... but the tigress's aura twisted as well as her icy sapphire eyes flashed and a wave of psychic force erupted from her, smashing in the incoming, flying car with the rumble of a thunder, the large coupé crushed on itself like a little toy as Vera and Alexis's minds clashed viciously, electricity crackling from the point of contact as the windows of the vehicles and of the buildings all around exploded to slivers...

Which all accurately avoided both females in their fall.

Killer stared at that with amazement, almost stopping his own attack as he looked from a female to the other and felt the terrible, invisible but crushing rival powers crackling in the air like electricity as he emerged from where he had simply shouldered his way and smashed across the van-bullet that had been thrown at him. His eyes followed the shattered car as it incredibly stayed in the air for a moment, the two colliding forces of the warrior females keeping it hovering... before it fell heavily on its side, clanging loudly against the asphalt... and Vera's eyes flashed once more, the canine, giant female rising a hand as she sent a new, frightening blast of psychic force which smashed into the poor car with a thunder and neatly broke it in two as it headed straight for Alexis...

But missing as the tigress leapt up high into the air, kicking off the road with her feet and bringing Blue Vixen up with both hands, preparing her blow before she dived viciously on Vera, slashing her blue sword in a hard downwards arc, roaring.

Vera only growled, anyhow, sidestepping a bit as she reached up lighting fast for her own sword, letting her body shrink back to normal sizes to be a harder target as she drawn her blade out in a fast, neat upwards arc which reached up in perfect time to stop the tigress's attack... And in that same, bare instant, the killer's body sized itself up again, muscles growing in size even more as they bulged powerfully and Vera growled, forcing her sword forward with huge might.

Alexis saw that move coming, but she was not fast enough to exploit her new instinct to face the expert, amazing rapidity of her rival, and she found herself suddenly facing a strength comparable to even to the might Killer used against her in their trainings... And she was pushed backwards and out of balance as the kick she had tried to place on the rival's charge was intercepted, her feet squeezed into a huge hand and easily used to jerk her hard forwards.

The tigress grunted as she fell backwards, but she caught herself with her hands and kicked up hard with her free feet, seeing in her mind the perfect window of chance in the defense of Vera and exploiting it perfectly this time. Her booted feet collided hard on the Doberman's throat, making Vera choke with a sound of half-fury, half-agony as she arched her back in pain, spitting drool from her muzzle but still managing to slam Alexis hard on the asphalt before the tigress could kick her leg free again and roll away safely, easily kicking back on her feet with a thrilled grin.

Killer reached the two females and raised Wyvern to slash a deadly blow, but Alexis shouted as she charged forwards lighting fast, crossing her sword once more in a duel with the taller, larger Vera. "Let me do, lover, please!" She grinned viciously to the rival from over the swords as the blades slashed together powerfully. "It's a personal question."

The huge male snorted, slumping a bit as he mumbled a disappointed "Funkiller..." and stopped his charge, grinning amusedly nonetheless... before growl in protest as Vera suddenly turned towards him and her eyes flashed mischievously from over the fight, shooting a powerful blast of psychic force that slammed against his powerful body like a giant's hand, nearly knocking him down on his back as most of the air was forced out of his lungs and he skid backwards a good ten feet, even if Wyvern and his combat boots dig deep into the asphalt when he tried to force back. Stop being fucking ridiculous! You should send back the strike with nothing but an idle flick of your eye, you moron! It's really possible that's that hard for you to feel your own power roar inside you...? Black Killer roared in rage from within his mind, making him growl irritably at this new intrusion. Your babbling probably covers up the roar. Show me how to do, or shut the hell up, Blackie. He snapped back in his thoughts and that seemed to silence his darkness for the moment as he straightened and rolled his shoulders idly and walked calmly back to where he had stood. He would have loved to step into battle and make her pay... but he wanted to let Alexis handle the fight, if that was what she wanted... And she seems better suited than me for this particular battle, indeed...

Alexis snarled in rage at such move of her rival, slashing viciously forwards Blue Vixen with her own huge strength, her toned muscles flexing powerfully as Vera was knocked with a grunt of shocked surprise before she caught herself on her hands and flipped gracefully into the air to land on her feet at a safe distance, her growing process starting again as she rose even taller... but then she stared forwards to find Blue Vixen already perfectly aimed at her head, even the newfound height compensated. She seems to see everything before it happens...

"You are fighting ME, bitch." The tigress squeezed on the trigger of her sword, firing a single, .50 bullet from the special submachine gun hidden into the handle... but Vera sidestepped fluidly, moving to such speed even Alexis's new instinct come a fraction of second too late, her eyes barely catching sight of the movement of the canine before she was done, out of the way, safe and grinning... And Alexis knew suddenly that she would have missed... the first shot ever I waste... She glared up to Vera.

And the huge female winced, eyes going wide in shocked surprise as blood erupted from a deep, neat gash in her cheek and she felt the bullet hiss past, her hand rising in shock to touch the bleeding wound as Alexis herself stared with a blink of surprise and Killer gaped slightly.

How can that be...? I KNOW I have missed... or better, that I should have... But then another worry irrupted in her mind as her instinct kicked in, her free hand running to her thigh to draw out a Desert Storm with a speed that was, in a word, divine, aiming it up and out to her left... as Blue Vixen rose to point at the buildings on her right side.

Vera barely caught sight herself of such moves as she snarled and raised slightly her free hand... but her eyes went wide as her fingers snapped and she realized that Alexis was already facing the consequences of a move she was just starting to do. This is... amazing... But it was too late to stop her.

At the sound her fingers made, the doors of the two vans Killer and Alexis had already noticed snapped open, soldiers stepping rapidly out of them and seeking a cover as they run forwards to form a line in front of Vera, snipers appearing behind several windows on both sides of the road...

But the two tigers were ready. Alexis had launched a warning in her microphone, proposing Killer to go fifty-fifty about the soldiers to kill... and he had gladly accepted and run forwards to the back of his own van of competence, chopping down like ear of wheat the first three soldiers that stormed out, a vicious grin on his muzzle as almost cackled, finally having his part of battle and gore after just watching so far.

Alexis, on her part, had given the snipers maybe two seconds of glory before even the last of them fell dead on the floor without nothing more than gore and blood where their heads should have been... the first two marksmen had just enough time to hold out their heads from their hiding places before they got wiped out by bullets fired with perfect aim to targets still invisible and already coming as they moved. The others had just the time to blink, the luckiest one managing to pull slightly up his rifle as well before other bullets took their tool, the female sensing each of them from their aura...

An aura that was equal for each soldier. An aura that was nothing more than an infinitesimal fraction of Vera's one... And Alexis started to understand as she caught sight of the soldiers storming out of her own territory of chase on wheels: they were all males, and of any race. She spotted a couple of wolves, at least a fox and a lion, a horse and so along... All of them were considerably muscular and toned up, athletic in their perfect shape, and wrapped entirely into form-fitting black Kevlar vests that offered them protection against enemy fire, each equipped with a massive handgun and a dagger as sidearm, and holding a foldable-butt assault rifle in their hands with enough competence and naturalness to suggest they all had been some sort of soldiers in their past life... while now, they were nothing more than empty puppets. Their expressions were empty and lost, and their eyes were frightening bare of pupils, only flashing in white, empty light. Their original aura, soul, personality... all had been wiped out, and now they were only slaves to serve Vera all the way to Hell. A solid collar of steel tight around their necks stated clearly their position.

Alexis snarled in horror and rage at that consideration, trying to reach Vera as the Doberman walked towards the motorbike parked nearby, but she had to sidestep behind a parked car as the "soldiers" opened up a wall of fire against her, rifles in full auto and rounds pounding the vehicle with terrible violence. Alexis growled a bit in irritation as she felt the tires explode and all the windows of the car were crumbled, shards of glass falling in all directions... and she missed entirely the fact that the slivers of glass avoided her, pushed away by the strange power radiating of her as she caught awareness that she was being surrounded. She saw clearly in her mind two groups of enemies depart from the line they had formed and advance on both sides of the line of car parked, heading for her as the others kept blocking her with heavy suppression fire. Fire and maneuver... puppets or not, they still have their intelligence and training, it looks like.

The tigress rapidly charged out of her hiding place, stepping up the curb to maintain herself covered by the cars as she took care of the first group, walking straight in front of the incoming soldiers and pushing up lightning fast her sword right into the chest of the first in line, the blade sinking easily across his armor, the plates inside cracking noisily as the formidable weapon forged in Kesteven pierced out from his back... and Alexis squeezed the trigger hard, the pressure-sensitive system automatically setting in full-auto as the submachine gun in the handle fired, pummeling the puppets with a rain of steel as they rose their own rifles.

Alexis turned back in the same moment, her other hand rising the Desert Storm towards the corner of the car as a soldier aimed his rifle at her. She fired a single bullet, which smashed the head of the unfortunate to formless gore... and her eyes flashed in rage before a surprised but darkly amused grin crested her muzzle as the shattered car sprinted backwards and run into the soldiers, crushing them against the vehicle parked behind as the puppets screamed in agony. Her victory, anyway, lasted little as she heard a powerful engine roar and she caught fleeting sight of Vera, back to her normal sizes and bent over her potent bike as she leaved the road... And the round that Alexis fired against her was parried by a puppet who jumped right into the trajectory, the .50 bullet tearing a good sized hole in the armor he wore and shattering a bleeding, wide gap in his body as he was knocked hard against a wall, slumping slowly downwards, dead.

The other soldiers, reacting to their initial tactic being countered so efficiently, had broken up their line and charged towards her, rifles growling as they pounded bullet after bullet in her direction, but Alexis somehow knew where each bullet was, and she sprinted towards them with amazing speed, ducking and sidestepping and twisting her beautiful body in a dance she had never before thought possible, each round hissing threatening around her but missing as she moved out of the way in the right time... and then she slashed Blue Vixen hard in a full arc all around her, spinning on her heel with a vicious, victorious roar as she neatly chopped off the head of the soldier in front of her and of three more that had leapt at her with their swords when seen the uselessly of any fire arm against the amazing tigress.

She closed her eyes, grinning as she sheathed her sword on her back and put the Desert Storm in the holster at her thigh, feeling no more threatening auras around... and her grin growing wider as she heard Killer softly clapping at her, and she turned.

"You so owe me some explanations, love..." He said softly, smiling widely as he reached her and caressed her cheek with the back of his hand, and she smiled as lovely as she shook her head a bit.

"I'll try, but I think that someone should explain it to me, before."

New sirens shrieked in the night, adding to the ones of the trucks of the fire dept that were already gathered at the base of the Octagon as firefighters tried to put out the flames roaring from the fallen helicopter, remembering them both of the difficult situation they had to face as many vehicles of the police headed for the Knife complex from every road. A full surrounding was starting... and they couldn't be found out there. They traded a glance and a rapid nod before turn and head rapidly back towards the two skyscrapers, Alexis focusing all of her new instinct to make sure to run into no one... and Killer tried to communicate back to the base, making a face as only static come to the line as he tried.

"Goddamn it, Siegfried! Move that ass!" Killer snorted irritably on the line, and finally the screen in the corner changed into a disturbed but all in all good image of the command centre in Kesteven, the mohawked brother of Killer looking at him flatly.

"Your patience is always impressive, bro." Siegfried said neutrally. "That damned bitch hacked many of our frequencies... I never thought it possible, but almost the 30% of our wideband ultra-high frequency secure satellite link isn't safe anymore. I'm currently trying to kick her out of the system, but she is... a bitch."

Both Killer and Alexis made a disgusted face at that, horrified of the news... but Killer cut that short, overwhelmed by most urgent questions. "We'll deal with that, bro... but we need to get out of here. Where the fuck is the support team...?" He asked, steamrolling Siegfried as he continued giving his own report.

"One hundred meters to your left. Incoming." The younger brother communicated, and Alexis nodded, well feeling the friendly auras coming well before turn to the side and see the small, anonym van incoming.

It braked neatly to stop right in front of her and Killer, and a cheetah of the Special Reconnaissance Service in civilian dress immediately opened the later sliding door of the load bay as the two sovereigns stripped bare of all the weapons, quickly throwing the visors, the pistols, the swords and whatever may have been compromising into the van before it rapidly started again, rolling fast down the street. The whole operation took maybe ten seconds... and then Killer and Alexis run towards the sanctuary offered by the shadow of the Knife.

"Radiate the area with a barrage of electromagnetic disturbs to erase any possible video or photographic evidence of our passage here, bro. And do it immediately... things gotten a bit complicated here... and we exposed ourselves far too much. Then, make sure to guide the Buzz to a secure meeting point with the guys of the support team and make the Dark Angel re-enter as soon as possible. Let's leave no signs of us." Killer commanded into his microphone as he followed Alexis on the path she traced with silent, secure steps heading back to the window they had used originally to exit the Midnight Sun.

Luckily, most of the crowd that had been into the place and even most of the personnel of the night club was now keeping the guards of the Kaufman Bank well busy on two different fronts, leaving their road free. All the people, in fact, had gathered up in curiosity around the two surprises of the night: the shattered corpse of the apparently-suicidal Kaufman and the wrecks on flame of the helicopter and what had once been the bridge connecting the two skyscrapers, both destroyed when the chopper had inexplicably broke free of its restraints and fell down eighty floors, and so most of what had been the Kaufman's army was busy in making up security cordons against the curiosity of the crowd.

After all, the alarms of the bank had remained entirely silent, and likely no one even suspected so far that an intrusion had happened in the thought-unassailable fortress.

Alexis was the first to easily leapt up to grasp the edge of the window with her hands, pulling herself easily up and jackknifing inside avoiding once more the alarm... fortunately, in the chaos, no one had yet thought to seal up the windows, and both tigers slid in perfect silence along the same path they had departed from, the disco now mostly silent and desert, but people storming back inside with yells of rage and indignation as the guards of the complex made sure that no one could leave, pushing everyone back into the place, so that the police, by now surrounding the whole complex, would have had easy life questioning everyone. Except Vera, of course... she is damn good at her own work, that must be recognized.

Alexis slid elegantly and quickly down the corridor of the dressing rooms, and Killer made sure to follow her path and her indications, until they reached the door of their room and he rapidly opened it, letting the tigress slid inside first before following and closing the frame silently.

He sighed slightly and soundlessly as he turned the key and locked the wooden door, then turned to see Trine now seated under the blood-and-seed-stained sheets, knees up and arms crossed over them as she smiled up at him amusedly... and teasingly. Any pain left had evidently subsided... and probably she had stopped bleeding as well... and now she was naked and teasing him with her eyes, which made him grin amusedly as he rolled his shoulders a bit. Alexis, on her side, was grinning even wider, and already shamelessly stripping down, hands already undoing her belt as her gorgeous, imposing bosom stood firmly up, bare and tempting in its divine perfection. Trine was looking up at the tigress with a mix of awe and envy... but also amusement and obvious enticement... and Killer found that further stimulating as he stripped quickly off his own shirt, tossing it on the floor and flexing his powerful musculature in anticipation of the games to come as he gladly noticed how strong the scent of sex and want was still strong in the room... Any policeman coming there and finding the three in the room would have had no difficulties believing that Killer had spent his time playing with his sweet mates in the small room.

"It took longer than what I expected..." Trine observed with teasing, amused voice... and Killer grinned as he reached his hands down to get rid of his belt.

"It was pleasurably a bit more challenging than forecasted." He countered amusedly, and the lynx nodded with a smile. She knew perfectly he could only be the responsible of the chaos she had heard when the bridge and the chopper had smashed into the ground outside... but she knew it wasn't the case to talk of that... nor she wanted to steal time to the playing to come as the pants and the boxers of the huge male fell to his feet and she blushed furiously as found herself shivering and moaning softly at the sight that for the second time faced her in all its imposingness, his impossibly-gargantuan, incredibly-powerful black cock making her eyes open wide as she stared, legs instinctively closing up together as to protect her still-gaping, insanely stretched, torn sex, but both mouth and pussy watering in desire.

She was still staring when Alexis, now fully naked and blinding in her beauty and predatory seduction, climbed easily on the small bed and pushed against her shoulder to shoulder, head to head. Trine turned a bit to the larger tigress with a surprised smile, and found Alexis grinning a bit at her, sapphire eyes glinting amusedly as she licked her lips a bit. "Don't blush... I see it every day and I still feel my legs tremble and my mouth water all the times. And all the girls of a whole empire do the same, as well." She said amusedly, then she turned to grin teasingly up to the giant male as he stepped forwards with a smirk, a hand going down to grasp his own colossal shaft. "He's just that amazing, hot stuff... you can't really help, baby, that's it." Alexis breathed...

But Killer rolled his eyes upwards and snorted lightly as someone knocked vigorously on the door.

"Police, open the door! Who's in there...?" A male's voice come from outside, arrogant enough to irritate the giant liger as he unlocked the door and pulled it open, both Trine and Alexis grinning as he as always skipped the ‘putting-something-on' part and the yelling immediately died as his towering, powerful physic shadowed the two barely-half-as-tall policemen in the corridor.

"Killer Huxley, Alexis and Trine." Killer answered idly, smiling a smile that was a bit predatory as he looked down to the two dark blue uniformed foxes outside, who both were staring along his body with growing amazement as they rose their glance from his crotch standing at their eye-level to his grinning face.

"Huh... well. Sorry for the intrusion." The first one, a corporal, babbled immediately, probably recognizing that his badge would not have been of any use against such giant as he got him irritated. "There's been an apparent suicide, plus a disaster with the guard's chopper and the bridge and... stuff." The policeman continued, pushing out his words in one only breath and stepping backwards slightly in fear. "I won't bore you with the details..."

"I'd appreciate that, agent." Killer said kindly, with a soft nod, and both policemen outside winced but tried to smile as well... before the corporal all but nudged his mate, who babbled up his question. It took him a ridiculous time to ask if they had all been all the time into the dressing room... and Killer grinned when Alexis's voice come from behind, sweet, teasing and pleading as only her could be in their most intimate moment. "Lover, please... we are getting cold without you, here..."

The giant male stepped a bit to the side, grinning as he allowed a clearer sight to the two frightened policemen, who stared in amazement at the sight of Alexis and Trine, naked and embraced, lightly kissing as both looked teasingly up to Killer.

"I'm sorry for the guy who died and all the rest, agents... but we have been, and we ARE rather busy here, so, if you don't need anything else..." The huge male said kindly, giving both a look... and the two policemen immediately made sure to move away their leers from the two females, quickly stepping back and hitting the wall of the corridors with their backs as they nodded, sweat on their features.

"We don't." They both exclaimed quickly, the corporal only adding: "Just stick to this place until we say you can go... we need to do investigations about what happened here."

Killer, at that, only grinned a bit wider. "No worries, agent... I think I'll be busy for a good bit here. You know how to find me if you need help."

The two strutted hurriedly away with an half bow for the king, more than happy to step away from the shadow of the giant as he closed the door and turned to the two females, climbing on the bed between them with a grin. "Where we were...?"
