One may not see things for what they truly are. But there are always a select few who can.

The blinding sun shines through the cracks in the blinds on the far side of the second floor. The light ensures a beautiful day for all, all except Trevor. Sure Trevor grew up in a nice house in a nice neighborhood but that doesn't change the facts. The facts that no one cares for him, not since his mother died. We find Trevor slowly coming to from a dreamless night. He never had anymore dreams and had grown to expect it.

He looks to his left and spots a family photo. He has two brothers and a sister, all older then him, which seemed to leave him behind in one way or another. Jacob the oldest is on the left side of his dad with his arm on Jacob's shoulder. He is in his junior year in college. (Now, not when the picture was taken) He is on the varsity football team as none other then the quarterback and leads the team year round to victory after victory, on more then one occasion taking the time to rub it in to everyone else, mainly Trevor. Next we have Stacy. She's next to Jacob. She's the ‘popular' one of the family. She's on the dance team at the same college as Jacob. (She also being a junior but only 1hour behind Jacob) Last, aside from Trevor, is Henry. He's right next to him. He is the brains of the family and in no way modest. He does have some bragging rights being that he got moved up two grades...in the time of two months. He is a senior in college and voted most likely to succeed. On the far right is his dad...There is not much to say for him except that he works way to much even when he doesn't have to. He makes enough money to sustain ten more in my family. But only makes that because of all the time he spends at work. He says he likes working but everyone knows he just doesn't want to be reminded of mom anymore then he has to. Last...and least there is Trevor. He is beside his mom with her being on the far left ruffling his head fur. There isn't much to say about Trevor except that he feels he can't do anything right. Now on to his mother. The endless things to be said about her... but nothing more then a memory for him now. She was funny, smart, and beautiful...

A silent tear jerks free of its confines but finds no comfort from the sheets. That's the only tear he sheds because he knows he has to be strong. For his mother at least.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"Listen...son; you have to...promise me one thing." A dieing lioness manages between coughs.

"Yes, anything mom..." replies the torn cub at her side.

"You have to promise that...that no matter what happens or...who gets in your way...that you stand strong..." her voice trails off ending with a fit of coughs. Her head hits the pillow and remains with only a content expression. The cub begins to cry as he claws at the sheets.

"I promise m-mom...I won't let you down." The cub ends burying his face in his mom's side. "I promise." He whispers as he is led out of the room by his dad.

"I'll never forget you mom, and what you have done for me." Trevor states as he looks back at the ceiling once again thinking of his mother. He takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. It's been eight years since his mother's death. But each day it gets harder to deal with and each day he has to remind himself to keep moving on.

"I only wish that I knew then, what you meant by that." He said sadly wiping another tear that had formed at his eyes. "It may have made this easier..." Trevor said to himself as he climbed out of bed. He lived in a small room secluded from most of the others.

"I know things would be better if she was still here." Though his confidence faltered as a second opinion worked its way into his mind.

"Who are you kidding? Once she realized how useless you are she would leave you as well. And you know it."

"NO! You're wrong!" He yelled at the walls, staring at himself in the mirror next to the door.

"You'll never amount to what she thought you would." His reflection replied with a slight snicker.

"Yes... I will..." With that he broke down to the floor eyes full of tears claws digging into the carpet.

"...Will I...?" He questioned himself.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"It's a boy." Said one of the doctors off hand

"Oh, honey. He's gorgeous." A lioness by the name of Laura said.

"I know, he is." Replied a handsome wolf known as David.

"What should we name him?" She asked attentively.

"You pick sweet heart."

"I know, Trevor. He will be called Trevor." She stated after a second with a wide smile wanting nothing more then to just hold him. From the moment that he opened his eyes and just seemed to see right to the depth of her soul, she knew. She just knew.

"That's a great name." David said as he watched his newborn son fall asleep in the arms of the one he loved.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"Yes, I will!" He yelled back the answer to his question with anger spicing it up. With that he grabbed his book bag and all but ran out of his room, heading for the front door. Not even bothering to change out of the clothes he wore yesterday. Nothing was going to stop him...except the bathroom door he neglected to notice opening right in his face. He fell to the ground from the impact with a loud thud.

"Hey, watch where you are going you little shit." Jacob, the oldest said. Anger rose up in his body but he knew he would get no where by fighting him. He'd never win anyway.

"Yea, what ever." Trevor said spitefully, getting back to his feet from the floor.

"You better keep walking you piece of..." The rest was cut off by the slam of the front door. Trevor didn't bother waiting for his bus to come by. "It wouldn't stop anyway." He thought to himself looking down the seemingly endless road in front of him. The truth was that it would stop but he just didn't care for anyone on there. A few trees dotted the front yards of multiple homes. It was June so the temperature was moderate, tolerable. Trevor just kept walking ignoring everyone else around him as they went about their own business. He tuned out the rest of the world as he plugged his earphones into his long tan ears and cranking the volume of his Ipod up to a deafening boom. He lost all track of time as he walked the lonely street making only a few turns when needed. The houses appearing less often opening up to a large forested area on the left, across the street and on the right his high school came into view. He glanced to the left and caught a glimpse of a feral wolf before it disappeared behind the brush and trees.

"Why do I even bother showing up?" He asked himself after stepping in a puddle that had formed from last night's thunderstorm. He even waited for an answer, knowing that he would never get one.

"Only you can answer that one buddy." Trevor spun on his heels quickly but saw nothing, no one was even there. He continued to walk with a quicker pace. He always sensed that he was being watched and followed but could never catch sight of his pursuer. He closed in on his target goal. The high school was not but 50 more yards away but he had to know for sure. He turned around and spoke clearly but not a yell.

"Who is following me? What do you want?" He waited for the answer. He waited for a full 4 minutes before shaking his head and finally crossing the thresh-hold of the school's perimeter. Whispering to himself all the way up to the doors. "Maybe it was just my imagination." The whole ordeal he would normally just shrug off, but there was something about this one he couldn't get out of his head. The day that normally would be passed by with sleep seemed to go very slowly. It didn't get better though out the whole day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trevor sat in the same seat he always sat in since the beginning of the year, farthest in the back. The bull at the front of the class was ranting on and on about acids and bases in Trevor's biology class. He managed to nod off in a few classes but couldn't do the same in this class. He sighed and glanced out the window. He had to do a double take because of how dark it had become out there. It was only a light rain at the time but Trevor could see what was coming, mainly do to his over heightened sight and hearing. Trevor wasn't dumb by any means he just didn't care enough to excel like his brother. Without looking up he began packing his stuff up and stood up, stretched a little, and walked toward the door. (Toward the beginning of the school year Mr. Mankal would tell Trevor to sit back down but learned very quickly what little use it would do, because right when Trevor would touch the door knob the bell rings signaling that school was over.)
"Have a good afternoon class." The bull commented seconds before the bell went off.
"You too." Trevor replied wasting no time exiting the school grounds and heading off to his normal hangout. He even walked slowly despite the down pour that had begun. By the time he reached the edge of the woods he was soaked but didn't care. Trevor would always relax in a secluded place out in the woods by his school. That's also where he kept all of the memorabilia of his mother because his father had gotten rid of everything else of hers. Trevor slowly came to the place he had come to call his home. He always came here and occasionally he would sleep under the thick canopy of the trees. He reached into a hole in a big oak tree that he figured was the biggest one and pulled out an old picture of him and his mother when he was five years old.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"And here he is!" David announced off to the side, sliding to the left to reveal Trevor in a new pair of shoes and a miniature suit that he had picked out with the help of Laura. Laura, David, and Trevor were all out shopping for clothes for the big party he was going to.
"Now don't you look handsome?" The lioness stated after a second.
"Oh, ma ‘da-really have'ta wear this?" The cub almost pleaded.
"What? You don't want to look good for your first party?" She asked faking innocence.
"But Ma!" The cub yelled dragging the A out at the end.
"Now son, listen to your mother." The wolf stated with a grin.
"But I feel like an idiot!" He whined back.
"All right, all right. But you have to take a picture with me first and maybe we will get some ice cream afterwards." She stated with a smile.
"Sweet!" The now over active cub yelled. Laura grabbed him by the belt, barely, before saying.
"Hey, picture first, then ice cream."
"Aww." The cub settled down only long enough for the picture to be taken.
"Alright guys, on the count of three say ice cream." The wolf said pulling out the camera from the bag. "One...Two...Three."
"Ice cream!" They all said in unison and the picture was taken. Now there was nothing holding Trevor back as he bound away, leaving his parents in the dust.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The picture had been placed back into the tree quite some time ago and Trevor had quietly fallen asleep holding a necklace that his mom had bought for him years ago. It was a simple chain with a small pendant attached to it. The pendant was silver and had his initials etched into it.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"Hey Trev come over here for a second." Laura said with a small box in her paws.
"Aw mom, I'm in the middle of a boss fight." Trevor yelled over his shoulder while feverishly clicking away at the controller in his hand.
"I can't wait all day." She said sarcastically.
"Come on mom, give me a second." Trevor replied. The lioness only rolled her eyes. "Alright here I am, now what is it?" The cub said all the while glancing back at the tv.
"Excuse me?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"Hmm? Oh! I mean will you tell me what it is?" He asked smiling
"Eh?"
"Please..." Trevor said rolling his eyes.
"That's more like it." "Now hold out your paw."
"Ok." He did as he was told and she put the small box onto his outstretched paw. Trevor quickly lifted the lid to it and looked the contents over. "What is it?"
"It's a pendant that I saw in the flee market the other day and I had your initials etched into the back."
"Cool, thanks mom."
"Just don't lose it." She yelled to him before he got back on his game.
"Yea, yea ma."
"Sometimes I swear he does that to annoy me." She thought to herself. Thoughts barely registering over the boom of the gun shots and explosions. "TURN THAT DOWN!!"
"Yea, yea ma."
"..."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
It had gotten late by the time Trevor finally stirred from his sleep. He blinked a couple of times and stretched his arms high above his head. He yawned and brought his arms back down to rest in his lap. He glanced around and checked his watch.
"8:30..." He yawned again and pushed him self onto his feet. He looked up and noticed that the storm had passed and there was a beautiful full moon out. He didn't fight against his natural urges and let out a deafening howl. He listened for a second and heard a second howl surprisingly close to where he was. He jumped at that. Trevor made his way back home with a little haste.
"I'd better get outta here." Trevor said quietly to himself
"Why?" Came a voice out of nowhere, obviously feminine.
"Who said that?" He replied looking around and seeing no one.
"Who wants to know?" Replied the voice that just seemed to come from anywhere.
"I am Trevor. Who are you?" He demanded trying to intimidate who ever was out there.
"I am known as Syrea." (Pronounced Psy, (like in psychic) ray) The voice replied simply
"Where are you? Show yourself." Trevor ended with a small growl.
"I've said to much as it is."
"Wait, what do you mean?"
"I'd be getting home if I were you." The voice trailed off into a whisper.
"What do you mean?" There was no reply. "Wait..." Trevor said and began walking home with a conscious eye and ear out for anything. As he was heading home he took note of a few fire trucks that sped past him but thought nothing of it. That is until he turned the corner to his street and finally spotted the smoke rising from the building next to their house. Flaming bits and pieces of the roof would chip off and land on his house.
"This isn't good." Trevor said aloud and took off sprinting to his yard. He glanced up and saw the sure sign that Jacob had gotten home early and no doubt had his headphones on full blast in both ears. He looked around again and saw the side of the building next to Jacob's room start leaning toward him. "Shit! Jacob, get the hell out of there!" But it was no use. "Damnit..." was all he allowed this time as he bolted toward the front door.
"Hey! Kid, what do you think you are doing?!" Yelled an out of breath Dalmatian holding a fire hose in his paws. Trevor didn't reply. There was no time. Before the Dalmatian could say anything else Trevor was inside the house and bounding up the stairs. He was already out of breath when he reached the top. Then there was a loud crash.
"NO!" And with in seconds he slammed the door open only to see Jacob pinned under his metal cabinet along with concrete bricks scattered along the floor. The room was trashed. Half of his wall had come down on top of him and now he lay under his old metal cabinet dieing. "Jacob! Are you okay?!" The curtains caught fire right after that question.
"Trevor, get out of here!" Jacob sputtered between coughs.
"NO! Not without you!"
"Trev!" But he was done listening. He looked the situation over and squatted in front of the cabinet, and grabbed onto the top of it but immediately let go shaking his paws. (The cabinet is tipped over so the top would be facing down) Only then did he see the flame at the base of the cabinet super heating the whole thing. But Trevor was not going to give up that easy. "Just get out of here!"
"Listen, when I lift, you move! Got it?" Before Jacob could try to reason any further Trevor was once again trying to lift the hunk of metal. The pressure on Jacob's back began to lessen. Trevor nearly dropped the cabinet on him again but slowly reset his stance and dropped down to one knee straining with all his might to keep it up. Trevor hears the grunts of Jacob as he struggled to drag himself free along with the sizzle of his own paws scorching under the intense heat. Finally Jacob is free of the metal death trap but Trevor is still at it. Not really aware of his surroundings anymore.
"Trevor! Let it go!" Tears had formed at the edges of Trevor's eyes, teeth barred and finally he allowed his muscles to relax and go limp. But the cabinet ‘got the last laugh' by ripping away half the flesh on Trevor's left paw. Trevor slowly opened his clenched eyes and tried to stand again. He took a shaky step to the side and instantly dropped back down to his knee. That was more work then he thought it would be and slowly slipped into unconsciousness as he fell sideways to the floor. Darkness overtook him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Trevor? Can you hear me?" David whispered into Trevor's ear. It took a minute but he finally came to.

"Yea I can hear you but you don't have to yell!" Trevor stated trying to rub the side of his head with his paw but stopped because of the pain it caused him. He brought his paws out in front of his face and sat up in the bed. "Whoa, what happened to me?" Trevor said groaning.

"Hey take it easy there," replied David, "You need to get some rest, son."

‘SON!?! He's never called me his son...its always Trev or Trevor' "What happened to me?"

"You really can't remember can you?" David asked looking a little worried.

"Remember what?" Trevor asked falling back onto his elbows.

"The fire. You can't remember what you did to..." The fire was all Trevor heard as everything finally came back to him. First his mind ran through every event in a quick blur. Then all the pains and emotions flooded back into his subconscious. Slowly things came to a stop in his busy mind and he relaxed his tensed up muscles. "...You're a hero"

"What?" This sudden jolt was too much for him and he passed out again.

"Trevor? Doctor, what happened now?" David asked the nurse that had just walked in to check on Trevor.

"Well it appears he's asleep. Oh and I'm not the doctor sir." Replied the Nurse. She is a short furred arctic hare only a little shorter then Trevor with beautiful blue eyes.

"But he was just talking to me, nurse."

"Well what did you say to him then?" She asked

"I only told him about what he had done to save Jacob. He didn't seem to remember any of it."

"Well if he couldn't remember any of it then you probably just overwhelmed him a little, there's nothing to worry about."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trevor slowly woke from his uneasy sleep for a second time. It was dark outside and the only light on were a few side lamps and the shine of the monitors next to the bed. He lazily looked around at his surroundings and slowly pieced together where he was. Trevor still remembered the flashbacks but still couldn't trust whether or not it was a dream or not. A very vivid memory of the searing heat he felt on his paws caused him to wince as he brought them before his eyes a second time.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"Trevor, sweetie, look at me." Laura spoke softly to the crying cub before her, slowly lifting his muzzle up with her finger. "Don't worry honey, everything will be fine." She said smiling lightly at him.
"But mom, it..."
"Shh I know, I know." The lioness interrupted. "Now let me see your paw." Trevor slowly brought his paw out into his mother's view. He had some how cut his hand along the palm and was bleeding a lot. Laura winced slightly at the sight but didn't let him see her calm expression falter. "Come inside with me so I can get a better look at it." Trevor quickly pulled his arm away and backed up a little.
"No, you'll only put some of that cold stingy stuff on it." The cub whined as he tried to cover his injury with his other hand.
"Sweetie, I promise I won't. You believe me right?" But the cub wasn't convinced and she knew it. "Pinky promise?" She added at the end. The cub finally gave a weak smile and stuck out his pinky.
"You can't break a pinky promise, you know ma."
"I know Trevor. Now let's get you inside and cleaned up some." She said holding here paw out for Trevor to grab and follow inside.
"I love you mom." Trevor said when they reached the bathroom.
"And I love you too." Laura said lifting him up and sitting him down on the bathroom counter. "Now let's see what the damage is." Trevor brought his paw out into view again. The cub became nervous again and Laura only reinsured him with a soft smile. Trevor gulped slightly as he watched her examine his paw more closely. He trembled slightly as she reached into the cabinet but sighed when she only pulled out some bandages and some ointment. "What? Did you think I would go against my promise?" The cub only shook his head and smiled at her. "Now this may hurt a little but it will make you feel better later, okay?"
"Y-yea I guess..." Trevor bit his lower lip a little. He barred his teeth as she squirted out some of the ointment onto the cut and lightly rubbed it in. And he bounced up and down lightly as she wrapped his hand up whispering the classic ‘ow, ow, ow' repeatedly
"Almost done, just a little longer," She tried her best to calm her son down as she finished him up, "Now aren't you a big boy?" But he still bore a pain filled gaze right at her lightly holding his
wrist. "Oh, it wasn't that bad, was it?" He didn't drop the look. "I didn't use the cold stingy stuff right?" He finally gave in and agreed with her. "There's the tough little boy I remember."
"Hey I aint little!" He said faking a frown at her.
"Oh, my bad. That's my ‘big' tough boy I remember." She stated kissing his cheek lightly. Trevor wrapped his arms around her neck and nuzzled close to her and wouldn't let go. Laura reached between them and poked his tummy making him crack up laughing and release his grip on her. She then proceeded to poke him in the sides making him squirm even more.
"Hey! That's cheating mom!" The cub screamed out laughing.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Trevor groaned as he sat up and looked around again. He looked over his body and saw various tubes and wires attached to him. "Hmm, what time is it?" He said yawning and looking around. Yawning again he notices a clock on the far wall. Blinking a few times to clear his vision, he sees that it is 2:00 in the morning. Finally one thought does enter into his mind...Jacob... "Where's Jacob," Trevor wondered out loud, "Is he okay...?" Only then does he see, seated in the corner of the room with a heavy blanket concealing him, the head and form of Jacob. Trevor almost jumped out of the bed when he saw the bandages wrapped around his head and the ones on his forearms but was forced to stay put for the time by the tubes and sensors held in place in various places on his body. He had to bite his lip to stop from yelping at the tug on his fur. He crawled back up and rested his back against the wall and pillow. Trevor then spoke with a hushed voice knowing that he was not the only person in the hospital. "Jacob, wake up..." He growled softly, "Jacob..." He said a little louder but rolled his eyes when he didn't even budge. Trevor looked to his side and spotted a tissue box on the nightstand beside him. He picked it up and chucked it at Jacob. The throw could not have been more picture perfect as it sailed through the air, striking Trev's target square on the forehead. Jacob woke with a jump and nearly fell out of his chair bringing a paw up to his head and looking around.
"Hey, who threw this at me?" Jacob questioned scanning the room. Trevor in the mean time had sunk back down into his bed and threw the covers over top of himself chuckling lightly beneath the blanket. "Man, what the heck? My dream was just getting good..." Jacob said to himself. Trevor couldn't stop the laugh that escaped his muzzle and instantly brought his paws up to his lips, still giggling. "What the..." Jacob said raising a brow and throwing the covers to the floor. He stood up and walked over to the bed. "Trevor, are you awake?" He asked poking the lump in the side lightly
"If I say no will you leave me alone?" Trevor returned removing the cover from over his head and sitting up, finally seeing all of the bandages that cover Jacob's body. Trevor winced a little at the sight.
"If I say no will you hate me?" Jacob replied with a toothy grin.
"Now why would I do that?" Trevor questioned still not sure what had gotten into his brother. Jacob chuckled a little.
"Good, cause then I'd have to do something drastic."
"Something drastic?" Trevor replied raising an eyebrow. "You're not capable of something like that." He stated testing his brother's change.
"Oh, I'm not am I?" Trevor was about to say something more but instead Jacob beat him to the punch by wrapping his arms around his little brother and holding him lightly. He didn't say anything to Trevor for a while, with Trevor too stunned to react or protest. He didn't move until Jacob let go.
"Wh-what was that for?" He asked completely confused. He finally saw his flawless brother, Mr. Captain of the football team, falter and lose control of himself.
"I'm so s-sorry." He choked out hugging Trevor again.
"Sorry for what?" Trevor questioned patting him on the back.
"For everything I've said and done to hurt you..." He managed to say. Trevor finally wrapped his arms around his brother whispering "It's okay." Into his ear. "But it's not okay...you didn't deserve that treatment...you never did." Jacob whispered back looking Trevor in the eyes with tears rolling down his cheeks before returning his head back to the shoulder of his younger brother. Normally when Trevor looked into his brother's eyes they were a cloudy grey but this time there were no clouds. He saw straight into the soul of his brother and saw only truth in what his brother was saying. He never in a million years would think this would ever happen, but here he was with a smile finally creeping its way onto his muzzle.
"I...Forgive you, brother." Trevor said before joining Jacob on his shoulder and holding him tightly. "I forgive you." He whispered one last time into his ear. Trevor just held him loosely in his arms until he noticed that Jacob had fallen asleep. He smiled at that and placed his head on Jacob's shoulder closing his eyes still not fully grasping why his brother was acting this way but who's he to complain?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

They had slept in each others arms until 6:00 when the nurse that David had met earlier walked in to wake up Jacob. "Alright Jacob, there's..." She stopped upon seeing the two and smiled sweetly. She debated not waking them up but bet that they were hungry and nudged Jacob awake softly before waking Trevor. They both yawned and let their eyes adjust to the light. Trevor yawned again and heard as well as felt his stomach growling at him. He blushed slightly then smiled awkwardly shrugging his shoulders. The hare just giggled and worked on removing the sensors from Trevor's fur. "Well Trevor, I'm glad to see you're finally up." She said smiling while checking his bandages on his paws again. Jacob glanced over at her and nudged Trev in the arm slightly giving him a coy smile. The one that can only be translated as either ‘I know something you don't' or ‘what are you waiting for?' Trevor just shook his head looking down at the bed laughing through his nose slightly.

"Come ooon." He mouthed to Trevor. Being overly dramatic

"No..." Trevor mouthed back. Jacob just rolled his eyes and sighed

"Well Trevor, it looks like you're healing nicely. If you feel up to it I could show you where the breakfast hall is." She stated still smiling which he figured was partially forced, but liked it when she smiled. "Oh, and the burns on your paws were very extensive but there should be minimum scarring." She was at the door when Jacob hopped off to follow her. Trevor sighed and slid over to the edge of the bed and slipped off as well.

"Well at least that's some good news, I guess." As the cover slipped off of his waist both Jacob and the nurse started laughing, though the nurse was more controlled as she looked away blushing lightly. Trevor looked at both of them confused and was about to say something when Jacob pointed towards Trevor but straying a little south. Trevor glanced down and finally saw what they thought was so funny. His hospital garment, the one that ties in the back and leaves you feeling way too exposed, had been caught on the front of his sheath revealing everything to them both.

"Oh my god..." Trevor yelped out as he turn and rearranged himself blushing with his paw rubbing the back of his head as he stared at the wall.

"Uh, bro, we can still see your ass!" Jacob said laughing again.

"Oh, come on!" Trevor yelled out reaching behind him and fixing the flaps

"So uh, are you coming or what?" Jacob asked after and awkward silence. Trevor only crossed his arms still looking at the wall. "Aw come on bro." This didn't faze Trevor in the least as he held his fake pout. The nurse smirked lightly before saying.

"For what its worth I think you have a nice butt."

"Oh is that right?" Trevor replied sarcastically.

"You don't believe me...?" The nurse replied quivering her lip and adding a little sniffle at the end to keep the game going. He looked over his shoulder and chuckled turning back around and walking up to the door with a wide smile.

"So...you really think I got a nice butt?" Trev asked grinning as they were walking down the hall.

"Oh yes, that's one hot ass!" Jacob said sarcastically cutting the nurse off before she could answer.

"Hey, I didn't ask you!" Trevor replied before turning his attention back to the nurse. The nurse just giggled and nodded to him. This made Trevor happy. Since his mother died eight years ago happiness just seemed to elude him. But here he was finally ‘alive' again, with someone he didn't even know and his former jerk of a brother. They traveled down the hall without anymore conversations all the while Jacob had a coy smile directed at Trevor. They soon pushed the double doors of the cafeteria. No one was seated as it was so early and most of the patients were still asleep.

"Well here it is!" Trevor added a small ‘woo' as she continued. "Ok, the lines or entrance in this case are over there," She said pointing toward the far wall, "So help yourselves to what ever you like and I'll be back in a little while."

"But, what I like isn't going to be eating with us." Jacob said smiling to her.

"Oh come on now." She replied crossing her arms.

"Please?" He asked giving her a puppy dog pout.

"No...I can't..." But he could tell she was starting to crack.

"But..." Persistency is paying off now.

"Well, maybe for a few minutes." Jacob has the biggest smile on his face now, almost like he just cured cancer. Trev merely rolled his eyes.

"You had to give in eh?" Trev asked her.

"Aw come on! How can I say no to that?" She states pointing at the huge grin Jacob was sporting.

"Well you see it's quite easy," Trev explained sarcastically, "you simply take a breath, then pronounce clearly the word no..." She squinted her eyes and stuck her tongue out at him.

Breakfast was rather uneventful consisting of only small talk mainly between Jacob and Trish as was quickly learned. But eventually she had to return to her other patients and left Jacob and Trevor alone to eat.

"Listen, Trev, I really am sorry for how I've treated you..."

"It's ok Broth..." Trevor started but was interrupted by Jacob.

"No, No, it's not ok... I took for granted one of the select few I can call family... and you deserved better from me..."

"Really it's ok Jaco...."

"Please, let me finish," Jacob said looking straight at Trevor, "Like I said earlier, you didn't deserve any of what I put you through. So what I'm trying to get at is...can we maybe...start over? I know I can be better...I owe that much to you, at least." Jacob asked pleadingly. Trevor laughed softly, smiled, then replied.

"Yes...I would like that." Trevor then smirked and said, ‘so how about that Trish?' slyly. Jacob laughed hard with his head in his arms on the table.

"Well what's it to you?" He replied after calming down.

"Oh no reason...except to taunt you with...that's all." Jacob just scoffed and took another bite from the mediocre meal.

I do not care if anyone feels compelled to add a chapter of their own to complete the story or what not. I make one request is that you leave me a message tellin me u made one and give me lil credit for the original

with that aside i will try to complete this story if i do feel like it because i have some pretty crazy and awsome ideas in my head. just need to transfer thoughts to paper >.>
