#7 of Just Another Gay High School Romance

I FINALLY GOT IT DONE! XD I enjoyed writing this one, it made me so happy! Will confronts Coren and tells him his feelings! I loved writing this chapter a lot! It made me so happy, even though this would probably never happen... but that's the advantage of being in a cliche' romance story! >.< Anyway, Comment, fave, vote, and all that good stuff! Constructive criticism is always appreciated! ^w^

Coren's eyes fluttered open as he woke up on that Saturday morning. He smiled to himself, feeling relief that he once again had the day to himself. He realized that his mom and Mr. G would be up by now, so he decided to throw on a t-shirt and shorts and he met them upstairs.

Coren entered the kitchen and was greeted by the smell of french toast and syrup. His mom was dishing out the food while Mr. G was reading the newspaper.

"Hey honey! Finally awake, I see." Coren's Mother smiled at him.

"I was awakened by the smell of delicious food." Coren smiled back.

"Well, eat up! Plenty for you to eat! I need to get ready for work today, though. Emergency in the office." She explained. "Sorry about that. I know we talk on the weekends."

"No, it's fine." Coren smiled again, but he couldn't hide the disappointment in his voice.

"Oh, a friend of yours called earlier this morning." Mr. G looked up from the paper he was reading. "Will was his name, I believe. He's coming over in a couple minutes."

Coren almost choked on his food. He didn't see that coming at all. He swallowed his food and asked "Wait, what?"

"Did I stutter?" Mr. G smirked as he went back to reading his paper. Coren was starting to feel upset. Will was the last person he wanted to see at the moment, especially after what happened the day before. He knew he had to explain himself eventually, though. He didn't want to, but it was necessary to retain the friendship that they still had.

"I'll be in my room." Coren stood up and left the table behind, quickly walking to his bedroom. He flopped onto it and sighed, dreading the moment Will would arrive.

3 Hours earlier

Will whipped out his phone and texted Lauren to meet him at his house. He needed to tell her what had happened and he needed to ask for advice on what to do. Not even 10 minutes later, Lauren the cat was outside of Will's house.

"Hey baby." Will said as he opened the door.

"Hey Will." Lauren leaned up and kissed Will on the cheek. "So, What did you need to talk to me about?"

"Come on in and I'll tell you." Will motioned a paw for Lauren to come inside. They both sat on the couch and they started the conversation.

"So, It's about Coren..." Will started.

"Oh, that cat who's been avoiding you?" Lauren asked.

"Yeah. So yesterday, I finally got a chance to talk to him..." and Will told her the story of what had happened the day before.

"Awww! That's so cute!" Lauren exclaimed as Will finished his story.

"Wait, what?" Will asked, surprised by her reaction.

"Heh, sorry. I've always had a soft spot for gay guys." Lauren giggled.

"Uh-huh." Will rolled his eyes. "So, I was just thinking you could help me. How should I confront him?"

"Well, first off, I believe that you should tell him your honest feelings." Lauren said. "What do you think of him?"

Will smiled and said "He's a great person. He's funny, kind, and brave. He's got a nice personality when he isn't sulking and he's a great friend to hang around. I think his best attribute is his smile and his blue eyes." Will grinned even wider at the thought of those things. Then he noticed Lauren's expression. She was looking at him with wide eyes and a open muzzle.

"Wait, you like him that way too?" Lauren asked.

"What!? No, he's just a good friend!" Will felt himself blush fiercely. But why was he blushing?

"Uh-huh. That face of yours says otherwise." Lauren smirked at Will's blush. "Think about it, would you have thought those things if you didn't like that way, even just a little bit?" Will thought for a bit. He found himself thinking about those beautiful blue eyes again and that cute cheeky smile he had whenever he was being bashful. When he realized that he was thinking those things, he became scared. He had never felt this way about a guy before.

"Um... I, well..." Will stutterd.

"AH-HAH! You DO have feelings for him!" Lauren pointed a paw at Will's muzzle.

"B-but I love you, Lauren..." Will protested. It was true, he still liked Lauren a lot, but these thoughts and feelings that were popping up in his head were giving him second thoughts.

Lauren sighed and said "I know and I love you too, but clearly you like Coren a lot, too. I can see it in your eyes when you think and talk about him." She poked Will's wet nose and smiled. "I seriously think you should try going out with him."

"B-but what about you?" You won't be mad?" Will asked, surprised at what she was saying.

"Will, I'll be fine. There are plenty of guys out there for me." Lauren gave Will a small kiss on the cheek. "You're a great guy and all, but I can see that Coren needs you and you need him." Lauren gave Will a hug and then she stood up. "How 'bout you give Coren a call. I want you to tell him how you truly feel."

Will stood up and sighed. "Lauren, I'm sorry."

"What do you need to be sorry for? I'm fine!" Lauren laughed.

"I just didn't think I'd ever think of a guy that way, ever!"

"Will, listen." Lauren grabbed Will's shoulders and gave him a serious look. "Your mind will try to tell you one thing while your heart tells you another. When you listen to your mind, it will tell you what you want to hear and it will trick yourself into thinking another way, and that never ends well when you are dealing with love. If you listen to your heart, though, it will lead you to find happiness in places you would never expect to find it. Listen to your heart, Will. It will never steer you wrong." Lauren gave Will another big hug and added "Coren followed his heart. Now it's time for you to do the same."

Will hugged her back. When they separated, Will smiled and said "Well, I guess I'd better go tell Coren what my heart tells me."

Lauren smiled. " I hope you guys will be happy together."

"And I hope you'll find someone who makes you just as happy." Will grinned as he took his cellphone out of his pocket.

"Don't worry about me, you goof!" Lauren laughed and punched Will in the arm. " Now hurry up and call him already!"

Will started to press the keys on his phone, feeling a new sense of confidence in his feelings. Lauren smiled at the wolf as he grinned, waiting for the other end to pick up.

back to the present...

Coren sighed. Will was probably coming over to forget about yesterday. He wanted to forget, but the feeling of his lips and warmth were something not so easily forgotten. Laying down on his bed, Coren played with his whiskers as he awaited the for the sound that would announce Will's arrival. He was scared. What should he do? Should he brush him off? Should he let him in?" Should he kiss him as soon as he entered the room? His thoughts were interrupted by the familiar sound of the door bell ringing across the house.

"COME IN!!" He heard his stepfather yell. Coren heard the door open and heard paw steps coming towards the stairs. He heard a small conversation upstairs then the sound of hind paws making their way down the stairs.

With a knock of the door, Coren slowly rose himself off of his bed and opened the door. "Hey, Will." Coren smiled awkwardly.

"Hey, Coren? Can I come in?" Will seemed... different. Coren couldn't quite place a paw on what it was, but it was defiantly throwing him off.

"Uh, yeah, o-of course!" Coren gestured for Will to come inside. "Um, make yourself comfortable." Will took the chair from under Coren's desk and sat down. Coren plopped down back onto his bed.

"So, Coren, I, Uh..." Will stuttered. He was nervous, as far as Coren could tell. "So, I, um, wanted to talk about yesterday..."

Coren quickly became embarrassed, cheeks burning bright red. "Oh, um, I'm sorry about that..." Coren tried to hide his face and he felt his eyes start to well up. He promised himself he wouldn't cry, though. He had done enough of that.

"...and I wanted to clear things up with you." Will smiled. Coren was about to loose control of the water works.

"I-I'm sorry, okay!" Coren started. "I-I just couldn't h-help it! Y-y-you were right there and..." Coren let the dam break loose. " I l-love you! I just wanted to be selfish! I'm sorry! I still want to be your friend! Will you ever forgive me?" Coren cried into his paws, waiting for Will to answer. Suddenly he felt arms wrap around him, bringing him muzzle closer to Will's chest.

"You didn't let me finish, Coren." Will lifted up Coren's chin so they were looking each other in the eye.

"W-Will?"

"When you kissed me in that parking lot, I was extremely confused" Will started. "I couldn't sleep last night because all I could think about was you." Coren couldn't believe his ears. Was this really happening? "So today I talked to Lauren about what had happened. She told me to follow my heart, and it lead me here to you." Coren felt his heart flutter and his eye's water again. "The truth is, I think about you all the time. Your eyes, your personality, your hair, your smile... I just can't stop thinking about you." Will hugged Coren even tighter. "I've never felt this way about a guy before. This is all so brand new to me." Will chuckled. "Even so, I still want to try this, Coren, because..." Will looked Coren in the eyes. "...I love you too."

Coren's eyes were wide open in shock. He had never expected this to happen. EVER. "Oh, Will!" he cried into Will's chest and hugged him back just as hard as Will was hugging him. "Y-you have no idea how happy you've made me today." Coren happily cried, holding onto wills strong body. "I never expected this to happen..."

Will smiled and said "Heh, me neither." He lifted up Coren's chin once again. "But now we can follow our hearts..." Will then suddenly kissed Coren. Coren was caught by surprise, but then he closed his eyes and let it happen, enjoying every second of it. This time Coren's rough cat tongue danced with Will's. They kissed for what seemed like an eternity. Coren loved the taste of Will's tongue, and he couldn't get enough of it. After a couple of minutes, they slowly separated, leaving behind a small thread of saliva. Coren took a deep breath, regaining the air that he had lost in that beautiful moment. "You okay?" Will asked with a concerned look on his face.

"Huh... yeah, I'm fine. But that kiss was... wow."

Will chuckled. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it!" They finally broke off from their embrace, both of them blushing to the fullest.

"Coren, I'm not really ready to be intimate with you," Will and Coren blushed even harder then before at the thought. "but I want to try and be with you. Will you be my boyfriend?"

"Of course I will!" Coren smiled. " I love you, Will."

"I love you too, Coren."
