It took me a grand total of three weeks to get used to my new surroundings. I felt like a fish out of water(yummy, but also depressing). I saw my brother only once every 2 weeks which was better than nothing. Still I admit I miss seeing him in the mornings and doing homework together when we get home. Zack and him mom and dad are good enough but I miss my old home. And even though I lost my respect for her I, in some way miss my mom. I sent a letter to her on her birthday last weekend and a note in it telling her Happy birthday and I love her. I asked Zack the following Friday if I should drop by and see how she's doing. "I think that's an ok Idea but it might not be wise"
" I can see why not, but I want to try" I said feeling Down but at the same time motivated
"If your going to do this you might need Toby and me there for back up." Zack said putting a paw on my shoulder. But befor I could reply Miss.Hoppcork spotted me and Zack. And came over
"You boys still going out" she said almost clearly
" Yes we are and, thank you. Thank YOU, YOU OVER WEIGHT, SACK OF COW DROPPINGS FOR GETTING ME KICKED OUT OF MY OWN HOME BECAUSE YOUR SO GOD-DAMNED HOMOPHOBEIC YOU HAVE PENISIS COMEING OUT OF YOUR NOSE!!!!" I yelled so loud that the freshmen who were chattering a moment ago had looks of terror on there face. Hoppcork looked as though she had been blind sided by a snowball.
"YOU BEASTLY LITTLE BOY HOW DOW YOU YELL AT ME"she yelled too clearly.
"HOW DARE I? OK LETS TRY IT THIS WAY. It wasn't apparent to me untll I stopped yelling, that all the students on campus had formed a complete circle around me and the pig and I not only saw looks of sock but there where kids who had smiles of pride on there face
"TERRY O'RYLE YOU WILL COME WITH ME TO THE FRONT OFFICE WHERE YOU WILL WAIT TO BE PICKED UP BECAUSE YOUR SUSPENDED." as of that moment I heard hisses from everyone, even the canines were growling and bearing there teeth not at me or anyone else who gathered around, but to Princeipal Hoppcorck
"I won't be going anywhere with you or from this school !" I said in a silent rage. I then looked and saw the teachers joined the crowed and the where asking students what was going on.
"fine then, if you won't cooperate with me then I drag you by the ear!" she said obviously very pissed.
"YOU TOUCH ME AND YOU'LL BE SORRY" I replied loudly.
"You won't do nothing, your just frightened little Kitten who needs to be disciplined" she said reaching out to grab my ear. Analizing this you can tell what 2 things get me in the edge. Someone grabbing my ear and being called a kitten. My friends all have been warned of this and they knew Miss. Hoppcork had the worst choice of her life. At that moment, with my cat reflexes. I Jumped on her head claws fully extended bit both her ears off and poked out one of her eyes. Next thing I know I'm standing in front of the squealing pig with blood on her and me. And looking around, I see my friends and a dozen others I don't know with looks of shock and dare I say fear. It was during this moment of silence I found Zack. I came up to him and extended my paw, but he had a look of fear on his face. "I won't, ever hurt you the way that pig hurt us and me" I said aloud in a reassuring voice. He then grabbed my paw and pulled me into a big warm hug. As he did the entire school Errupted into loud cheers and applause. For the 2 of us. Just then I relized that the school day was over. And I wanted to go home and see my mom but how where zack and I gonna get passed the crowd?
"need some help out to the parking lot mates?" said a senior from the football team.
"That would be great thanks" Zack said
"Oi ! Guys, Escort duty on the double" he said calling over 5 other guys
"That was crazy what you did" the wolf said.
"Shut the hell up man he stood up for himself and his boyfriend against the pig" the tiger said "that was the greatest thing I've ever seen
"No kidding, now where are you parked at" the the dingo asked
" south parking lot." I said and at that moment they hoisted me and Zack on there shoulders and in a blitz style they RAN us to my car. Once we got there they set us down and congratulated me and Zack. As we got in the dingo poked his head in and told us about this teen gay group that meets every Thursday at 5:00pm and if we where interested just stop by. We told him we'd think about it and thanked them agin as we drove out of the parking lot.
I dropped Zack off at his house with the promis I'd be careful when I talked to my mom. I drove a coupel blocks and then I see someone walking the same way I'm going, I look and I recognize it right a away as Toby. So I sneak up be hind him and honk my horn. I watch him spring a good four feet off the ground "YOU IDDIOT!!" he he yelled and laughed at the same time
"that was what I needed"I said barely abel to spaeak because I was laughing so hard I about pissed myself.
"that's not funny, I had a rough day" he said climbing in the passengers side.
"Not as wired as mine I'll bet!" I told him about the argument, the violence that took place, and being carried out by the varcity football team.
"Dude your lucky you didn't get arrested!" toby said shocked
" I know" I replied as we pulled in the driveway.
"Thanks for the ride bro!" he said as I got out to " uh what are you doing?"
"I...wanted to see mom. I miss her" I replied as he unlocked the door. I then heard a familiar voice chime out
"Toby your home early!" my mom said
"I got a ride home mom." Toby called back "and he wants to know if he can stay for dinner!"
"Oh really, who would that be?" she said, this was my chance
"Hi mom can we talk?" I said. There was a dead silence, then I saw her poke her head around the door with a look of skock on her face and then said kind of stiffly or "sure" I had no idea how this was gonna play out. But when I heard water running I knew what I could do to break the ice. I walked slowly into the kitchen and piped up a little Nervouse but eager
"You need any help washing the dishes mom?" I asked
"No, but if your determined to help, you can dry them" she replied a little sharp but she sounded almost close to tears. I started drying dishes, then I wanted to start a conversation but my mind told me to just stay Quiet and wait and that's what I did. Next thing I know I see a paw on mine. I turned an I see mom who has a stern look on her face.
"I know you didn't come hear to dry dishes what's going on." she said giving me the old "your in trouble" look.
"Nothing I came hear to see you because...because I was worried about you. I said "you never returned any of my calls, I never even got a thank you for the birthday card that me and Zack picked out for you, and more importantly I love you mom" I stared into her eyes even though her face looked more angrier I noticed a tear in ther Next thing I know she jumped on me and gave me a hug
"I've missed you so much" she said choked up by her tears "ever since that call I didn't know what to think I just...over reacted" that is an understatement. After that we sat at dinner for the first time in 6 weeks as a family and had a wonderful dinner.
"So Terry you never told me how you and what's his name...Zack? Met" I told her the story about the field trip and how I ended up staying and meeting him in the no goers room.
"is that when you two decided to go out?" she asked. I then told her about what we did. And she was a little shocked.
"based on the way you describe him he seems like a good guy, have you 2 "slept" together?" she asked. I know nosey woman, Typical mom
"Yes, we have and we always wear protection" I replied back
"Glad to hear that." she said as I finished up
"want me to help with dishes?" I said
"no, I got it go be with your boyfriend, and bring him by for dinner this weekend, I'd love to meet my possible potential son in law." she said with a true smile on her face.
"That would be great mom thanks"I said giving her a kiss and made to the door then I called back
"Love you, what time should we be over?" I asked.
"umm.... 2:00 would be ok love you to" she replied
"bye mom"I said
"bye see you soon"she said
I walked out the door and made my way to my car and just as I opened the door I my phone rang and it was Zack. "the feline you have reached is heading home please respond" I said in a fake computer voice.
"Very funny Terry" zack said " so hows it going"
"Lets just say things are looking better. I'll tell you more when I get there, I'm at my car" I said

"see you then lover" I said closing his phone.
On the way back I turned on the Radio,(not something I normaly do) but when I do I recognize the song "Eye Of The Tiger" and I drove back to Zacks house with the volume up full blast. Along the way I listened to the lyrics, and compared them to my experiences from the past three weeks. And all I had to say as I pulled into Zacks driveway was Wow! When I did pull in, I saw Zack sitting on the porch and called him over. He had a look of shock on his face, then he saw me smile and gave me a hug through the window frame
"So how'd it go? I thought your mother would murder you or something!" zack said completely nervous. I looked at him and said
"It's alright now, my mom finaly accepted me being gay we talked over dinner and I told her about us living in the same room and befor I left she asked if you'd be abel to come over this weekend for dinner?'
"Dinner at your place sounds like...omg...I just rememberd It's your birthday Saturday!!" Zack said picking me up and carring me inside. Truth be told I completely Forgot my 18th birthday Is this Saturday. I shrugged and asked
"so besides dinner with my mom, do you have any "plans" this Saturday?"
" Now you hear this you naughty kitty"Zack said giggling "you'll have to wait like every birthday boy" he said carring me up stairs into our room. Once we got in there, as if he read my mind he undressed me down to my boxers.
"I don't feel up to much it's been a long day" I said looking at Zacks undressed body
" I understand" he said sitting next to me "first the fight with sour pork, then making peace with your mom. You must be exhausted" and yes I was beat. Only good thing that I had to look forward to was the fact tomorrow is Friday,
When I awoke the next morning I was wondering how the day would play out. It turned out the entire school was Looking at me and Zack differently. There where no looks of Disgust or are you stupid looks. every where I walked people either grinned or asked how we met. The Dingo who helped us out Yesterday came up and gave both of us a hug and told us that if anyone gave us trouble give him a call. And my friends where excited and awestruck that I went as far as I did, and asked how I was able to do that with out fear of a consequences. And I just said I had The eye of the tiger in the back of my head Guiding me through the entire argument. The girls staired at me, and Tyler and Cole accused me of copywite using me for using such an expression. And everyone laughed at it. As the school day progressed All of Terry's and Zack's teachers where giving them extra credit. Even during break the teacher who watched us in the no goers room a few weeks back came up and asked if he could take them and there friends out to lunch and we accepted Immediately. Even my 4th period teacher Who said the other day we had an important test told me that him and the class that he decided to give everyone a passing grade.
Yes, I know sounds like the perfect day to me. It was even better when my same 4th perioed teacher wrote me a pass to visit my boyfriend for the rest of the perioed! And I ask you Would any normal teacher do that!? I don't know if I desirved this treatment but I didn't ask I just sat back and enjoyed the ride. By that I mean I went to 4th and stayed with him untill the bell rang. After school me and Zack drove home and talked about how our teachers treated us with respect. And zack remonded me it was all my doing to.
The next morning I woke up, And no Zack next to me. I just shrugged then looked on my night stand. I opened it and it was from Zack.
"Terry.
Me and my parrents went birthday present shopping.
We'll meet you at your moms at 2:00

After reading the note I got up and got dressed. I then looked at the clock and it said noon so I figured I'd head out for a while and grab a bite for a brunch. Afterwards I saw it was a quarter after 1:00 so I got in my car and head to my moms. When I got there I saw Zack and his folks where there so I walked in and the house was dark, so I figured oh boy surprise party! And my my suspicions where confirmed when I turned on the lights, everyone Jumped And yelled "SURPRISE" and what a surprise it was.
"Happy birthday big brother" Toby said giving me a hug

"Happy Birthday sweety" my mom said
"Happy 18" Zack's parents said I looked and zack wasn't in the in the room
"where's Zack at?" I asked
"in the kitchen" mom said
"he wants to give you your present befor dinner" Zacks mom said
So I walked into the Kitchen, as I walked in there stood Zack in one pair of hands he had a collar in each hand one Dark Purple (my Favorite color), and the other black
"This is present number one" Zack explained "you and me need to go up front for number two" I nodded and put the new collar on and It was awesome, a perfect fit. We walked to the front, and anyone had the feeling that everyone in the room had the same secret. And there was so much tenssion not to spoil it? That was the vibe I was getting. I had no Idea what was going on, But no force in heaven or hell could Prepare me for what was about to happen. I sat on the couch looking at everyone with a "ok whats going on?" look. Then I faced Zack who looked nervouse but at the same time happy. Then Zack brought one of his paws around and in it was a small box. And I thought....oh no!
"Terry I know we've known each other for three weeks" I nodded "But I would be honored If you would marry me" he said opening the little box containing a silver ring with a dark Purpel gem in the center. I gasped as I picked it up and looked at the others and including my mom who was also waiting for an answer. I looked at Zack with tears forming in my eyes and said
"Of course I will but, since you proposed to me, you have to but the ring on" I said handing it to zack wh took it and placed it on my middle finger (since I only have 4 )
And leand then leaned up to give me a kiss. Next thing I hear my mom and zacks mom squealing in happiness. We then broke apart stareing at each other with smiles on or faces an then I looked at my ring an asked Zack "does this match my collar?"
"you bet it does" toby sad jumping on the couch landing next to me
" Uh, Toby you mind helping mom out with dinner we'd like a little privacy" I said
"Sure, and congradulations you two" he said
" thanks my new brother in-law" Zack said rubbing Tobys head.
During dinner the six of us sat in the dinning room and had a Marvlouse feast. Both my mom and Zack's mom spent 2 entire hours in the kitchen preparing a Variaty of Dishes Chicken, Salmon(one of my Favorites) Mashed patatoes Gravy, corn and a salad that even my mom brother and I agreed was superb. And during the dinnner we where discussing the wedding plans "Of course were being married in a church but the problem is finding a church who can marry the two of us." Zack started
"I Remember my teacher mentioning something about a church in the town just north of here who are more than willing to do a marriage ceremony anyone no matter what gender" Toby mentioned "I could ask her Monday if there still functioning that way."
"Thank's Toby" my Mom said with the note pad "now we need to think of where to have the the wedding party, Penny How much room is in your house?"
"well that depends on how many gusets there are going to be We know both of Zack's aunts uncles and cousins are comeing so that makes 11 from our side"
"ok, Zack Terry, how many friends are you thinking of inviting"
I looked at Zack and smiled then said "8 friends"
"Eight ,eleven and five, makes a total of 24 guests" my mom calculated
"we should have plenty of room then" Penny said
"Awesome...uh" she looked around"actualy Penny on seconed thought, I think we could pull it off here at my house, not to be rude but I think my design team would feel more comfortable working here" she said looking at Zacks mom with an apoligenic look on her face "no worries Tina either way it will be a wonderful wedding." she replied
"I agree now the cake and food...." my mom started but Zack's interrupted clearing his voice
" We can Handle that, I'm the head chef at Lacal, the 5 star restraunt, I'm positive my boss will agree to alow us to cater, and my Wife can bake a wonderful cake."
"Wow this is good; next we need a band to Perform, some one to take photos, and arrangements for the honey moon, and more importantly a date for the actual wedding"
"Quick question mom are we going kind of cheap on this wedding" I had to ask
"Yes Terry why?" she replied
" because I have an Idea on the band and a few guys who are very good with Photography and Video recording skills"
"Yes but would they be willing to do it" she asked
"I could ask, but I don't think they'll have any problems doing so"
"Ok, uh... any Ideas on were were gonna find Appropriate dress wear?" she asked. This time it was Zack who spoke " mom does Aunt harriet still own The Casual wear in Phillmore?"
" yes she does and I can call her and give her the everyone measurements" she replied
"Splendid, now what day where you guys thinking about for the wedding" Zacks dad said I thought for a moment then whisperd to Zack "How would the Thursday after next sound?" I asked
"Sounds great to me"Zack said
"The Thursday after next!" we said in unisen
"Ok, 2 weeks from now we're having ourselves a wedding" my mom said Then Raising her glass said " to the happy, soon to be married coupel" everyone raised there glasses and toasted us and then we had my birthday cake, which tasted great. And my resents where fabulose; a new cell phone from mom, a $30 gift card from Toby and a nekeles from zacks folks. After some more General Disgussing me Zack and his folks left and I told them I'd be a few more minuets.
"Thanks mom for Approving of this It means a lot"I said giving her a hug and helped with Dishes
"Oh it's no trouble Terry. And agin I do apoligise for my behavior"
" I love you mom" I said giving her a hug
"I love you to" she said returning the hug " now go be with your boyfriend and promiss me you'll visit sometime after school if you can"
"I will" I said giving her a kis and went out the door and drove back to Zacks place and I ran up stairs I saw Zack Laying on his back on his bed I crept up to him and woke him with a long deep kiss "Am sleeping beauty or something" he asked
