Alright, I'm sorry for missing Sunday but I've decided that from now on Saturday and Sunday are days for me as they're not business days. As a result a story uploaded on those days should be considered an extra since on those days I'll most likely be playing games or whatever. Anyway Here's a story Based off of something that came and went at my school, parkour.

"Shit." That was the one thought going through his head. He felt his fur ruffling in the wind as his situation became more hopeless. Xavier was panicking, this was it. He was sure of it. All the background noise of the busy city and panicking people all blurred into one continuous ringing noise as Xavier got lost in his thoughts. How did he end up in such a situation? That was quite the story. It all started when parkour had become popular.

[Approximately one month earlier]

The bell rang and as usual, there was a flood of furs running out of the high school. One of these furs, grey furred cat was running to catch up with his best friend. "Hey! Hey Xavier, have you heard the news??"

Xavier blinked, turning to his friend "No, what's up?"

"Well, a buncha guys are holding a competition of sorts, to see who could complete their course with the fastest time. The winner gets the pot. There's a twenty dollar entry fee and ten people have already joined. You up for it?"

Xavier grinned "Yeah, I got this in the bag. Don't worry about it. Are you competing Jake?"

Jake nodded "Yeah, it's going to be a tie between me and you I bet. We used to do this all the time."

Xavier's grin only grew wider. "Well man, let's start getting ready. When's this tournament?"

Jake thought back for a moment "In six months' time, to give people time to train."

Xavier nodded to himself before running to his house, vaulting over benches or railings and jumping over fences to get to his home. People looked on, either impressed at the kid's skill or envious. Some were annoyed at him though, and yelled at him for whatever reason. Depositing his stuff on his bed Xavier threw himself down onto his bed and sighed. It was time to get back out on the streets, he knew that much. Getting up and walking downstairs to his kitchen Xavier waved to his mom and brothers who were all downstairs doing various things. "I'm going to go out for a run, I'll be back soon." Picking up an apple Xavier ate it while he made his way to the more urban part of the city

Now that he was in the middle of the city Xavier grinned. "This city was made for Parkour." Throwing the apple core he had onto the ground Xavier made his way through the city swiftly, vaulting over benches and jumping over railings. Eventually he worked his way higher, jumping off a dumpster and making his way onto a low rise building. He Xavier jumped onto a ventilation fan and jumped again to get on an even higher building. Xavier ran along rooftops, making daring leaps from one roof to another until he saw a familiar rundown building and decided to make an end to his journey. Instead of jumping off the nearest roof Xavier braced himself and simply ran off the roof, landing inside the building because of an old, broken window. Rolling Xavier got back on his feet and sighed. "Jeez, that was intense." Xavier called it a day and headed home. His days more or less stayed the same for a while, as Xavier found it fun and good for his health.

[Six months later]

Xavier had looked over the planned course. It was easy enough, except for the last jump. He'd never made such a jump before. Deciding to go against his better judgement Xavier decided to go first to show off how pro's did it. Unlike what you, the reader might've thought this is done like a qualifying lap, only one person on the track at a time so no foul play is involved. Xavier breezed through the course, jumping, flipping, and sliding. He knew this wouldn't be too hard. And to top it off the total pot was $400 so even if he felt he didn't need to Xavier put his all into it. Once the final gap was in view Xavier started sprinting. He jumped, putting all his effort into it and reached out for the edge of the other building. His paws never met the other surface, and he kept falling, the wind drowning out all the noise. "Shit."
