Shade's Goodbye
Shade smiles as he slips on his coat, happy to be reunited with his clothing. His second shirt on as well, both hoods now resting on his head, covering his face like a shroud of darkness. His leather satchel slumped up against the wall next to the door, ready to leave as well.The wolfess yawned, it still being fairly too early for her to be awake. The vixen asleep and on her back, she demanded to be there when Shade left, but its impossible to wake her when she is asleep. This is the closest compromise she could come up with. Both of them are n long nightgowns to cover their partially nude forms, not knowing of the fright they gave Shade earlier.Shade chuckled with glee as he finally gets comfortable in his coat, "Thank you, I feel much better now."The wolfess yawns before she replies, "You're welcome, but I still don't sees why you are leaving so early. The sun just rose..."Shade smile from beneath the darkness of his hood and chuckled again, "Well if I do not leave early then I know for certain something bad will happen. This way I can avoid anyone and you four can get some rest."She yawns again, letting go of one of the vixen's hands so she can rub her eyes, "But we wanted to all goodbye to you... You were a wonderful quest, I enjoyed chasing after you..."Shade sent her a harmless glare behind his hood at this, " Hehe... Yeah..."He lifts the leather pouch off the ground and gets ready to leave, "Thank you for the food and the bed. I wish I could repay you."She smiles at this, her tail wagging, "If you stay another day it will repay us."Shade chuckles again and shakes his head, "Anything but that."She sighs and her tail stops wagging, "Can you at least stay until Sydney wakes up... She really wanted to say goodbye..."Shade looks back at Sydney and thinks it over for a while. Sighing soon as he decides, "Fine, I will stay until she wakes up. However after that I am leaving, no exceptions."Hannah nods happily and giggles, turning around and walking into her bedroom, "I'm going to get dressed, and try and dress lil' sleepy head."Once the click of their door is heard Shade sighs and walks into the living room, sitting down on the floor beside the low table that lays in front of the couch. Deciding he may as well get ready while he is waiting some more. He pulls his supplies off his shoulder and opens the pack that holds them, deciding to organize a bit while he thinks.'I don't see why they like me so much, they hardly know me at all. Am I just that likable?... Perhaps it is the simple fact that I am human, and they find me new and interesting. What was that story Father Alchem told me...' 'The humans of old traveled east, past the mountains to hide from the beasts they created, while the new humans embraced the new way and traveled south, to the forests to hide from the new hazards that have befallen them.''I wonder what he meant by
that... Are there other humans past some mountains, living in better peace than us, or are they worse off... I know we are the new humans, I mean, there never was another colony of humans living in the forest, but at the same time, there weren't just humans living there. LiLee is a great example of that... Her and her adorable soft white fur... Oh I miss hugging her so much. I wish she was here right now, and Lee. As much as I know I'm going to regret thinking that later. He's probably going to kiss me when we meet again...''His wet green tounge trying to get past my lips... His strong vine-like tail wrapping around my waist as I try to escape from his hold...' Shade shivers in disgust and awkwardness at the thought, 'Ugh, why does he have to do that so much? It creeps me out to no end... I do miss him though... I miss everyone... I hope he is keeping Umila safe..."Shade's worrying stops as soon as he hears the door opening. Hannah peeking around the corner playfully, now in a blue tunic that is a little too tight, her big cleavage begging for air as the cloth squeezes against them. Her legs are adorned with a tight pair of worn out jeans, having holes near the bottom parts of the legs. She apparently is either in a hurry or trying to show out, Shade's hope that it is the first one.The wolfess smiles at him, wagging her tail as she walks over, "She's still asleep, so you're just going to have to get used to me for awhile." She stick her tounge out as she sits on her couch.Shade rolls his eyes behind the darkness of his hood at her behavior, placing all of his rations and supplies back into his leather bag, "Alright..."Hannah keeps wagging her tail as she watches Shade pack up, once he is done however she pokes his shoulder and giggle, "So Shade, do you have any brothers?"Shade puts a mental note on the fact that she only stated brothers, and also the awkward coincidence that he was just thinking about him. "Yes, I have a twin brother and a little sister..."Hanna smiles a weird grin at this, laying down on the couch now as she looks at him, "Is he as pale and handsome as you are?"Shade blushes at this, his white cheeks turning red behind the darkness of his hood. He never considered himself attractive, in fact his personal visage never entered his mind. "Uh... Well no... He has a bit more... fur than I do.... that and a tail..."Hannah blinks in surprise at this, her tail thumping against the couch, "Oh? So he is one of us then? Tell me, what kind of cutie is he?"Shade is starting to feel really awkward with this conversation, however due to homesickness and the feeling that he should entertain his kind hostess he continues it. "Well uh... He is a fox... with black and green fur-""Green? That's new." Hannah wags her tail harder, clearly very excited at this new information, "Do you too get along? Is your sister a vixen as well?"Shade blinks at this new question, his
mind too clouded with social nervousness to think, "Well... My little sister isn't a woman yet. She is only half fox, with a very soft and fluffy tail and ears... As for my brother..." Shade shivers again at the memories of him, "He is... a little weird...""How so?""I do not want to talk about it..."Hannah sighs at this and lays on her back, "Ok... Is he as strong as you, and as socially awkward?"Shade blinks at the bluntness at this, "Am I awkward?..."Hanna giggles and shakes her head, "I meant that as if you're shy silly.""Oh... Then no. He is the most social one of our family..." 'If you don't count Father Jera...' he thought to himself, "As for strength... I honestly do not know.""What about the little girl?..." Shade flinches at the new voice, it coming from Sydney. She is peeking around the corner as well, half asleep and the other half shy. She is in her red dress again, only this one seems to only come down to her knees. Her bright red tail wagging slowly behind her, "What is she like?..."Shade blinks as he thinks of what to say. Normally he would say she is the best cute sister ever, but that's not very descriptive. "She is... Shy, kind, very intelligent. Whenever she gets scared she hides behind her tail and poofs it out, making it feel like a big soft pillow..." That was probably a worse way to describe her.Sydney giggles softly and comes around the corner, giving a curtsy to Shade, "Sorry for making you wait. Will you be leaving now?"Shad nods, standing up and placing his satchel back on, "Yes, I need to leave as soon as possible." Sydney wags her tail slowly and blushes, "Well... We have a gift for you before you leave. Can you wait by the door while we get it ready?"Shade sighs at this but nods, leaning on his right leg as he crosses his arms, "I swear you two would keep me as a pet if Iet you..." He whispers under his breath.The two do not hear this however and dash into their room, getting the present ready. Shade meanwhile walks over to the exit and leans against the wall, sighing as he waits. Soon they come back, holding their hands behind their backs as both of them blush brightly, Hannah speaks up first, "Can you take your hood down?"Shade sighs and puts his satchel down again, standing up now, "Do I have to?..."They both nod and wag their tails."Alright..." Shade removes both of his hoods, revealing his face to full view, "I do not see why you need to see my face for th-"Shade gets interrupted by their lips. Both of them leaning forward quickly as he is distracted and giving him a kiss on the lips. In the process they are kissing each other as well, since they have to get so close to do this, however they seem to not mind. Shade's eyes go wide at this, completely caught off guard as his body tenses. He is in so much shock his eye's even flash between colors, going from their real vibrant green iris
and red pupil to the masked color of slate green.The two stop slowly as they part the kiss, their cheeks a bright red, they both stare into his flashing eyes shyly. Sydney speaks up first, "A-Are you ok?..."Shade simply stays frozen,his mouth open slightly, his eyes are still flashing as he tries to both regain control of his powers and also figure out what just happened to him."I hope you do not mind Shade... We really wanted to do that all along... Please do not be mad at us..." The vixen curls her tail around her friend's leg, the wolf doing the same.Shade eventually recovers, his eyes slowly going back to the slate green and black pupil color, "I... I'm fine... Just... Surprised..."They both giggle and lean on each other, clearly very happy now. Hannah speak up, her cheek resting on Sydney's head, "Your welcome... Bye Shade, we'll miss you. Oh, and tell your brother I said hi."Sydney nods and blushes harder, "And tell your sister I said hello... Goodbye Shade..."Shade nods slowly and pulls up a shivering hand to wave to them, "Good... bye..."He then slowly pulls his hoods back up and opens the door, revealing a empty street as he walks out. The canine duo wave goodbye to him as he walks down the street, not going back in until he is out of their view. Shade however stays silent as he walks, his satchel dragging on the ground behind him. His mind completely blank until he reaches past the village's border.'...That was my first kiss... Or would that be kisses?'
