You, Me, and We

No, this is not about my life x3
I was given an assignment in theater class to write a monologue about a certain subject.
The subject given to me was breakups.
This turned into more of a poem...but hell, I just like to rhyme.
So enjoy my poem thingy!~
Once, there was you and me.
And life was great with you and me.
Then later, you and me were we.
Suddenly, my life was we.
I lived and breathed and worshiped we.
We was all I prayed we'd be.
But one day, we turned into you.
And I did what you told me to.
My choices were all for you.
My opinions favored you.
My life revolved around you.
I loved you.
But I got so sick of you.
Always pushing me to do
Exactly what you told me to.
And so, now there is no we.
Now that we is only me.
And I'm happier being me.
My choices will favor me.
My opinions will be for me.
And when it comes to you and me.
There will never be a we.
