Chapter 28

Zaldon's head went up and down between Kel's thighs as he tenderly sucked his dick. "Mm . . . mm . . ."

"Z-Zaldon . . ." Kel was on his back, trying desperately not to cry out: Aliona was sleeping in the bed beside them.

In the years after Kel and Zaldon's reconciliation, Zaldon made many such visits to the summer village with Yuri. The public eye thought he was coming simply to visit old friends, to check on Kel's health, and to allow his adopted daughter to play with her new friends. But Kel and his family knew the real reason for the visits: the passionate nights they spent together, in Kel's house, in Kel's bedroom, kissing and touching and cuddling, often whispering afterward of their lives and families as they lay together, happy and content.

Kel would twist the ring on his finger, and Zaldon would come. Sometimes instantly, as if he had been waiting. And Zaldon would take Kel in his arms and kiss him and hold him, his large white body all-consuming each time they embraced.

On many occasions, Aliona would join in the lovemaking, allowing Kel and Zaldon to fuck her between them - or else Kel would fuck her while Zaldon in turn fucked Kel. But every now and then, Aliona would pretend to sleep so that they could be alone. She was pretending to sleep right now - though Kel had no clue.

"Zaldon . . ." Kel whispered. He touched Zaldon's white mane. "Please . . ."

Zaldon looked up from Kel's hard cock and licked his lips. He smiled to see the suffering in his green eyes. He crawled up on top of Kel and his black eyes twinkled. "What do you want?" he whispered, showering Kel's neck and shoulder with kisses.

Kel frowned with pleasure when Zaldon took his cock in his paw and stroked it. "Zaldon . . ."

"Say it . . ." Zaldon whispered. He rubbed his nose against Kel's. "I love to hear you say it."

Kel blushed slightly, but he looked Zaldon in the eye, green eyes burning with quiet flames. "Make love to me, Zaldon."

"Oh, Kel . . ." Zaldon's kisses became frantic, as did his paws on Kel's body. He hunched his broad back, the tight muscles flexing. Kel closed his eyes and gasped as Zaldon's pink cock made its slow intrusion. His anus strained to take the girth of him, squelching with Zaldon's slobber. He locked his trembling thighs around Zaldon's hips and his black nails curled tight in the muscles of his back.

"Oh . . . oh, Kel," Zaldon sighed with pleasure. He looked down at his lover and frowned. "I'm not heavy on you . . .?"

"No - no, don't back away!"

Zaldon smiled and leaned down close again. He slipped his paw under and cradled the back of Kel's head, then kissed him wetly as they made love. Kel closed his arms tight around Zaldon's thick neck and kissed him back warmly.

They rocked slowly, carefully, and peered happily into each other's eyes. Looking down at Kel, Zaldon silently vowed to never let him get away again. Kel could push him away, but the next time he did, Zaldon was determined to fight for him. Because he knew in his heart that when Kel ended things, he should have fought harder, refused to let it end so suddenly and so easily. He should have ignored Kel and given him the ring anyway. He should have done . . . so many things.

But instead, what did he do? As they stood at the village gates, Kel told him it was over, and he nodded and blinked as he tried not to cry. Kel kissed him goodbye. And he nodded again. Like a stunned fool. Like someone had walloped him with a sack of bricks. That was certainly how it had felt . . . And instead of giving Kel the ring, he had kept it hidden in his paw, had turned away, had gone home.

"Never again," Zaldon whispered.

Kel frowned as they rocked together. "What?"

"Never again," Zaldon repeated, "will I let you get away from me!"

"Zaldon!" Kel cried out when Zaldon hugged him tight and humped him faster. Trapped in the wall of Zaldon's big white arms, he felt consumed by his heat, the hard press of his muscles . . . his enticing musk. He held on tightly, clutching his fingers in Zaldon's back as they rocked harder. He glanced past Zaldon's mane and saw Aliona sleeping with her back to them and marveled that she had not woken up: they were panting and gasping, grunting, crying out so loudly now that someone in the next room would have heard if the three of them weren't there alone.

"Kel . . ." Zaldon's black eyes softened. "I love being inside you . . ."

Kel smiled. "I love you inside." He frowned with pleasure and their panting mouths were close. "Zaldon . . . come . . . with me . . ." he gasped.

"A-Ahh!"

They cried out as they came together. Kel closed his eyes as Zaldon's hot fluids rushed to fill him. They sagged, and the room was filled with the sound of their panting. Slowly, Zaldon rolled off. Rather than lie down, he sat up against the pillows, and with his broad chest heaving, put his big arm behind his head.

Heaving to catch his breath, Kel rested his cheek on Zaldon's thigh and closed his eyes. Zaldon stroked his mane in the silence that followed. Every now and then, Kel glanced up at him. Zaldon was peering down at Kel with soft black eyes, completely engrossed in what he was doing. His large fingers stroked down Kel's smooth black mane, then lifted it, letting the tresses fall. It was soothing. Kel closed his eyes again.

"Zaldon . . ."

"Mm."

"What did you mean by . . . It just seemed all of a sudden."

"Life is too short for us to keep hurting each other, Kel. Unless I've got a damn good reason, I'm never going to stop seeing you. I love . . . being with you."

Eyes closed, Kel smiled as he listened to Zaldon's deep voice. Sometimes when Zaldon went away, he was frightened he would forget how he sounded . . . or how he smelled . . . or the way his long lashes would blink slowly when he was looking at Kel . . . or the way his black eyes would fire when he was aroused. Kel was so frightened of forgetting. He closed his paw on Zaldon's thigh and rubbed the tight place where hip met thigh.

"Are you . . . going to stay?" Kel whispered. "Or . . ." He yawned.

Zaldon smiled: Kel was getting sleepy. He couldn't count all the happy times he had fallen asleep with Kel in his lap, in his arms, on his chest . . .

". . . or are you going to check on Yuri?" Kel finished.

"Go to sleep, Kel," Zaldon whispered. "I might have to go and check on her. If I do, I promise you'll awake in the morning with me beside you."

Kel closed his eyes and smiled. He dozed off.

When Kel was breathing gently and quietly, Zaldon looked over at Aliona and whispered her name. He was not surprised when she looked over her shoulder at him. Her long gray mane tumbled as she turned over. Being in bed, she was naturally not wearing a shawl, and her large naked breasts trembled as she sat up. She smiled to see Kel sleeping with his head in Zaldon's lap. She reached over and stroked Kel's mane with Zaldon.

"What is it, Zaldon?" Aliona whispered after a while. She looked at him curiously.

Zaldon knew Aliona had every reason to be curious. He did not usually initiate a conversation with her when she had gone through the trouble of pretending to sleep so that Kel and Zaldon could be alone. He usually gave her a secret wink that she returned, then fucked Kel and fell asleep with him. But tonight, he had called her name.

"Thank you for . . . pretending to sleep," he said, feeling guilty.

Seeing his guilt, Aliona laughed and rubbed his paw to reassure him. "We both know how Kel likes to see us having sex together. . . . and we both know how we like to be alone with him."

Zaldon chuckled, putting his big arm around Aliona and pulling her close. Aliona dropped her head on his shoulder.

It was true that Kel enjoyed seeing Zaldon with Aliona. It had always been his fantasy to be between the two of them, to watch them making love and to watch as Zaldon fingered Aliona, making her come again and again. Kel confessed such things soon after Zaldon cured him of his sickness. Back when Eloein kidnapped Aliona, Zaldon had been forced to have public sex with her. Watching them that day . . . Kel had not been able to stop thinking about it. So the night when they made love to Aliona together . . . Heh. That had been planned. They discussed having sex with Aliona beforehand, and Kel asked Zaldon to do it. And Zaldon said yes. He always had a difficult time saying no to Kel. Especially when he kissed him in that place . . .

"Next time the three of us are together, maybe I'll put a Glamour spell on you," Zaldon teased. "Make you look like Kel . . . Then I could have two Kels."

Wrapped in Zaldon's big arm, Aliona laughed. "You had better not!"

They laughed together, and in the silence that followed, Zaldon stroked Aliona's long gray mane. Then he touched Kel's mane, and his black eyes were soft with affection.

"I wanted to ask you something."

"I'm listening."

"One day . . . not right now or anything," Zaldon added quickly, and Aliona nodded, watching him in amusement. "One day . . . I want to ask Kel to marry me. I want the two of you to live with me, in my home." He waited.

Aliona's lashes lowered. She seemed to be chewing on his words. Zaldon wished he could know what she was thinking.

"When the kids are older," Zaldon went on. "I wouldn't ask you to help me raise Yuri. And my little house is so crowded right now . . . three wives and Julyan. And I'm sure no one in the sun village would care if I married twice again. Some males have upwards of seven wives there . . . some females live in groups . . . all married."

"Zaldon . . ." Aliona placed a paw on her bosom, touched. "You would marry me as well? You wish . . . to include me?"

"Of course, Aliona! You are Kel's wife. I would care for you too. You would be a part of my family. Hell . . . you already are." He smiled.

"Oh, Zaldon," she said fondly. "That is the sweetest . . ."

Zaldon cleared his throat uncomfortably. Aliona laughed: she was embarrassing him. She reached over and took his paw. He squeezed her fingers. She looked at their joined paws and thought his was so big it could swallow hers and make it disappear.

"I love your husband," Zaldon said quietly, "and that makes me responsible for you as well. You would become mine, as much as you are his, Aliona. I am becoming very wealthy over in the sun village. The chief has given me a new home with many rooms. We're currently in the process of moving across the village, so when you finally live with me, there will be more space. Julyan is so excited." He laughed softly.

Aliona smiled. Zaldon always had a happy light in his eye anytime he spoke of Julyan.

"He can't wait for you and Kel to live with us," Zaldon went on. He frowned. "I believe he was always very lonely in his life. He has only ever had his sister. Now he's got me and Yuri and my wives . . . and soon, he'll have you." Zaldon looked at Aliona and smiled. "That's assuming your answer is yes."

Aliona's answer was to lean over and peck Zaldon on the cheek. The big white wolf turned a little red and chuckled.

"So what's your answer?" he teased.

"Zaldon!" Aliona cried.

They laughed.

"I would love to live with you," Aliona said warmly. "And I'm sure Kel would as well. As soon as Roan, Zane, and Enya are older. I want to see my grandchild grow up."

"Of course."

"And when we do leave, we can always visit with your magic!"

"Yes." Zaldon chuckled again. "You sound as excited as Julyan."

Aliona beamed at him. "Because I feel like I'm gaining something tremendous! I'm going to live in a wealthy home with the male that I love and be taken care of the rest of my life. What is there to be unhappy about?"

Zaldon chuckled heartily. He put his big arm around Aliona and hugged her close. She laughed when he kissed her hard, just above the eye.

Still lying with his head in Zaldon's lap, Kel grunted in his sleep.

"Have you spoken to Kel about this? I'll assume you haven't."

"No," Zaldon admitted. "I . . . haven't got up the nerve."

Aliona looked at him in amusement. "He'll say yes, Zaldon."

Zaldon sighed, unconvinced. "I know he's very attached to Kilyan. He will want to stay here and watch over him. Like a hawk. A crazy hawk."

Aliona laughed. "He'll say yes," she assured him and patted the hard muscles of his chest with her little paw. "When will you ask him?"

"Fifty years from now?" was the weak reply.

Aliona laughed again. She was going to say something when there was a knock near the front curtain.

"I'll get it," Zaldon said. He eased Kel off his lap and watched as Kel, eyes closed, reached blindly for Aliona. He found her lap and - muttering in his sleep - dropped his head in it instead. Aliona smiled fondly at her husband and stroked his mane. Smiling and content, Zaldon lumbered into the front room.

When Zaldon pulled the curtain aside, Keeno was standing there, holding Yuri's paw. Yuri's face was stained with tears and her sable eyes were wet with them. She was seven years old, her lustrous blue fur a silent testament to the moon wolf blood in her veins. Her long straight mane had a way of flowing around her like water, and she peered up at Zaldon from it, wide-eyed and frightened. The moment she saw him, she ran to him and latched to his belly.

Zaldon stroked the top of Yuri's head and looked at Keeno. "A nightmare?"

Keeno nodded gravely. "Sorry for buggin' ya," he said. "Usually Zalia will sing to her, but it didn't help this time. She wanted you."

Yuri sniffled.

"Hey," Zaldon whispered, squatting down. He took Yuri's shoulders. "What is the matter with Julyan's little angel? What did you see?"

Yuri bowed her head and her long mane swept forward. Zaldon knew what she had dreamt of: her mother. Yana swimming, fighting, choking as water filled her lungs and the storm raged on. Yuri had described the traumatic experience to him before. She told him that one of the last things she remembered was her mother calling her name. "Yurisia!" she had called, fighting to keep Yuri afloat on a piece of driftwood. "Yurisia - remember that I love you!"

Yuri's face contorted and she suddenly hugged Zaldon's neck tight. Zaldon gathered her to his chest and stood, stroking her mane as she sobbed against him.

"Thank you, Keeno," Zaldon said. "I'll take it from here, I guess."

Keeno nodded. "Night, Zaldon."

Zaldon closed the curtain and carried Yuri to the fire, where he sat with her and began to sing. Her sniffles quieted as he rocked her. She closed her eyes and dropped her cheek against him. Looking down at the little thing in his arms, he sadly realized how much Yuri had grown. Her body - which had been so squat and chubby with puppy fat - was growing thin and long. Pretty soon . . . she wouldn't be his little girl anymore. He sighed sadly and dropped his cheek against her mane, not noticing it when Kel and Aliona appeared in the hallway behind him.

Kel put his arm around Aliona. "Zaldon is such a good father. I'm happy for him. I know he always wanted a child."

"He's a good husband as well," Aliona said, shooting Kel a furtive glance.

Kel frowned, wondering what that had to do with anything. "Of course he is . . ." He looked at Aliona, whose eyes were sparkling mischievously. "Aliona . . . is there something I should know?"

Aliona's reply was to kiss Kel on the cheek. "You'll know in time, my husband."
