Chapter 1: the Loss of Loved Ones
Riolu wakes up hearing screams of agony then peeps through the bush to find his parents lying on the ground dead, Riolu then looks around just to find a Honchkrow, and A group of murkrows Riolu then sneaks through the bush Quietly and sneaks up to a tree tears streaming from his eyes. Riolu then sees a Pokémon trainer and hides in a nearby bush then looks at a raichu next to the trainer, Riolu then tries to sneak past the trainer but gets spotted and almost gets hit by a thunderbolt attack from the raichu, Riolu quickly springs into action and starts to run jumping from rock to rock being chased by the trainer and his raichu, several minutes later Riolu then gets hit by a thunder bolt and falls onto the ground twitching In serious pain before being hit by a poke-ball, Riolu watches the poke-ball open and is engulfed in a white light and goes into the poke ball shrunk down small enough to fit in the poke-ball, Riolu then barely manages to escape and opens the poke-ball and a red light shaped exactly like Riolu lands on the ground and Riolu appears where the red light is. Riolu appears to be engulfed in anger Riolu then looks at the Pokémon trainer and grabs the poke-ball and throws it at the trainer and runs away in the other direction, Riolu climbs up a apple tree and climbs onto a sturdy branch high up and sits down, Riolu then takes a rest on the branch for a few hours, Riolu looks down and sees the trainer set up camp next to the tree, a idea comes across Riolu and he decides to drop a apple onto the trainer's head but then Riolu listens to what the Pokémon trainer is saying The trainer says "Man that Riolu, it's rare to come across one I soon hope I'll capture that Riolu I don't care how long it takes I'll try to ca," Riolu has then dropped a apple onto the trainer's head before he can finish the rest of his sentence. six minutes later Riolu has now started to cry mourning the loss of his parents all Riolu wanted was to be left alone right now Riolu then closed his eyes and went to sleep hoping it was all a dream, Several hours later Riolu woke up at the crack of dawn and then climbed down the tree hoping the trainer and his raichu are asleep but they aren't Riolu ends up full of electricity after being shocked by the raichu, Riolu then fell onto his knees and then falls over the rest of the way Riolu then goes unconscious from the pain and wakes up in a poke-ball with six blue stars on top of it. Sparks (the Pokémon trainer) is traveling through route 210 walking through the dense fog holding a lantern with his raichu on his left shoulder, several minutes later a hoothoot flies in front of sparks scaring him and his raichu the hoothoot then flies away, sparks continues walking through the fog for 30 more minutes then decides to set up camp. 20 minutes later a small campfire was made and a tent was set up, Riolu was sent out of his poke-ball along with a Steelix, Monferno, Piplup, and a Honchkrow which kind of scares Riolu, Riolu then wanders around but barely sees through the fog, Riolu then walks back to camp and sits down next to the campfire and then starts to contemplate life, Riolu then notices that everyone is sleeping, 14 days later Riolu is in a Pokémon ranch owned by sparks parents near route 204. Riolu then wanders around and finds the raichu that belongs to sparks Riolu then tries to play with the raichu but the raichu simply ignores Riolu, Riolu then gets bored and walks away Riolu then practices quick attack by using it on a boulder each time cracking the boulder more and more after using quick attack 20 times the boulder breaks in half and both of the halves fall onto the ground, Riolu astonished at the power of his attacks sits down and starts thinking wondering why his parents were killed, Meanwhile sparks is talking to his parents "Isn't it strange to find a riolu without a pack or at-least a lucario?" says sparks. "Well maybe it's an orphan chances are its parents were killed," says sparks' dad. "I don't know dad, what if it hatched from an egg that someone lost" says sparks "You got a point," replies Sparks's dad. "Well problem is he isn't really playful. On this guide it says Riolus are playful and energetic. If they aren't it may be because it's either ill or depressed," says Sparks. "Wow," says Sparks's dad. Riolu gets up and wanders around then goes to the window of the house in the ranch and watches them talk, Sparks think about the chance that Riolu could have been abandoned by a trainer, "do you think. That he was abandoned," Sparks said. "I don't know if it's possible that he was abandoned," says Sparks's dad. Riolu watched them closely then walked away from the window "wait question is. Is he a she or is she a he?" asks Sparks. Sparks's dad then shrugs, meanwhile Riolu is having a conservation with piplup about Honchkrow behavior, but if you where a human you would have no idea what they are saying, piplup says he doesn't know a thing about murkrows or honchkrows at all, Riolu then says goodbye to piplup and wanders off, Riolu walks up to the boulder from before then hears Steelix and piplup having a argument, they soon started fighting and Sparks broke them up before they badly injured each other. Meanwhile Sparks's dad was corralling some of the dodrios, and doduos into a group and corrals them into a fenced area, Riolu sits down and thinks about why the Honchkrow and his allies killed his parents then it hits him, it's because they were in the Honchkrow's territory it's so clear to Riolu right now why they killed his parents, Riolu then remembers seeing 15 dead murkrows Riolu then gets up then wanders around the ranch for 10 minutes until he hears Sparks say "lunch time everyone!" Riolu then walks to the house to find bowls full of Pokémon food and sees 5 Pokémon eating from one bowl, Riolu then walks up to one of the only unoccupied food bowls and eats the Pokémon food from it, 5 minutes later everyone finishes. "So how far did you get in the Pokémon league?" asks Sparks's dad "Only as half as far as my friend," Sparks replies. "Oh," says Sparks's dad. Riolu finishes eating and asks piplup why Steelix and he were fighting, "(well we were having an argument 'bout who's better and well you can say this it got outta hand,)" says piplup. Riolu asks who they thought was better "(well I said that Monferno would've made a better leader than Honchkrow but Steelix said that Honchkrow is better. Then it got outta hand because we decided to start fighting to decide who's right and our trainer broke us up before we could badly injure each other,)" Piplup said. "(Oh so you're trying to say that Monferno could make a better leader. I don't know whom to choose I mean I only have been like part of the team for fifteen or sixteen days,)" Riolu said. Piplup nods "(Well I better get going,)" Riolu said. Riolu then gets up and then notices Honchkrow was listening "(I don't know what you're planning but I got my eye on you,)" Honchkrow said. Riolu has a worried look on his face, Riolu then takes a few steps backwards in fear because of the fact that a honchkrow killed his parents, "(Oh look the little riolu is scared. Is it because you're scared of honchkrows)" Honchkrow said. Honchkrow chuckles, "I can use that fear against him," honchkrow thinks. "Is it possible that he's scared could he really have a fear of honchkrows?" thinks piplup. Riolu then runs away engulfed in fear as Honchkrow laughs, Riolu runs past the boulder from before and stops running and turns around hoping he wasn't followed, almost no-one has followed Riolu, Meanwhile Monferno, and Piplup are having a discussion they are trying to find out why Riolu is scared of honchkrows they think it could be because that Riolu had a bad encounter with a honchkrow before or his friends and family was killed by one and his/her allies but the only way they could really find out is if he told them, Riolu has collected all of his thoughts and collected enough courage to walk back once Riolu came back Piplup asked him why he was scared of honchkrows, "(Well my family was killed by a honchkrow and his or hers members about 25 murkrows I believe? Anyways most of them have died and I barely managed to escape,)" Riolu says. "(Then why are you scared of the leader?)" Piplup said. "(Well it left me with a fear of them)" Riolu said. Riolu and Piplup may not know it but Honchkrow Is listening to them. 2 days later Riolu is challenged to a fight with honchkrow and accepts the challenge, "(Believe me I'm not going to go easy on you)" says Honchkrow. Riolu starts out with a quick attack and Honchkrow flies out of the way and uses sucker punch and it's a critical hit, Riolu falls onto his knees then gets up and uses quick attack again and honchkrow flies out of the way again and uses night slash and scores another critical, Riolu falls onto his knees and gets up Riolu then tries to use hand to hand combat or paw to paw combat in this case on his opponent but the opponent dodges every time, Riolu gets struck by a wing attack and it scores a critical hit, Riolu's left arm breaks and Riolu falls down onto the ground paralyzed by the pain and is declared unable to battle. Honchkrow starts to kick Riolu while he's down. "(You're so weak. you should've never have been born,)" Honchkrow said. Honchkrow then unleashes a powerful attack onto Riolu's stomach and Riolu coughs out blood "raichu thunderbolt!" screams a familiar voice. And raichu unleashes a powerful thunderbolt onto honchkrow before he can do anymore damage, Riolu then fell unconscious from the pain as Sparks walks up to Riolu and picks him up "You should be ashamed Honchkrow injuring him this much after he lost the battle," Sparks said. 30 minutes later Riolu wakes up on a couch with his left arm in a cast, Riolu tries to get up but the pain forces him to fall back down, "You shouldn't try to get up you need rest right now," Sparks said Riolu waits for a while and Sparks then left the room and Riolu then sits up and gets off of the couch and walks around. Riolu then sits back down on the couch and examines the cast and it appears to be made out of bandages, Riolu then tries to remember what happened after he lost the fight but can't remember much and Riolu comes to the conclusion that he went unconscious after the fight or he's suffering amnesia. Honchkrow flies through the open window and lands in front of Riolu "(Next time you won't be so lucky,)" Honchkrow said. Honchkrow then flies through the window he came in from, A loud banging noise was heard outside apparently Steelix and Piplup were fighting again, Riolu then walked outside of the house to see what was going on and he was almost hit by a ice beam which scared riolu, Piplup and Steelix stopped battling each other and then they looked over to Riolu, "(Let me guess battling over who's better,)" Riolu said. "(Yep)" Steelix said. Riolu then rolled his eyes and moved on being followed by Honchkrow for a unknown reason, Riolu then walked up to a tree and sat down thinking about life wondering why his parents were murdered other than trespassing in the Honchkrow's territory, Honchkrow then landed in front of Riolu "(Well time to choose if you choose me you will be spared if you choose someone else I will kill you got it?)" said Honchkrow. Riolu forces the palm of his right paw backwards and then forwards onto Honchkrows chest then shoots a light yellow blast through the palm and it ends up launching Honchkrow a few hundred feet away doing a lot of damage plus the damage of the beginning movement, "(I choose someone else,)" Riolu Said. Riolu then got up and ran away from the tree towards the house and ran up to Piplup "(Well I used force palm on the idiot leader the second he threatened me and I don't think he's too happy what do you think I should do now)" Riolu said. "(Y-Y-You did what?!)" Piplup said "(Well I suggest you hide right now)" Piplup then points at a hollow boulder with a few breathing holes on top of it Riolu then climbed under the rock and sat in the compartment inside waiting while Honchkrow was flying around looking for Riolu, 2 hours later Honchkrow forgot what happened earlier and then landed in a tree and went to sleep, Riolu then climbed out of the boulder and thanked piplup for helping and walked away, Riolu then noticed it was dusk and walked up to a tree and sat down and waited, A hour later Riolu saw a falling star, Riolu then went to sleep and woke up at the crack of dawn and got up and wandered around the ranch, Riolu then walked up to a tree and slammed the palm of his right paw onto the boulder and then shoots a light yellow blast through the palm of his right palm and the boulder budges only 10 feet, Riolu stared at his right paw wondering why he could suddenly do a move he never knew how to use, Riolu then hears someone say "Breakfast everyone!" then goes to the source of the sound and finds out it was sparks, Riolu then walked up to one of the unoccupied food bowls and ate with it he found it quite awkward considering that he is left pawed, Riolu then finished the food and is challenged again by Honchkrow but declines, A month later it becomes winter and Riolu's left arm is completely healed, Riolu takes off the cast and moves his healed arm around knowing its back in business, Monferno has evolved into Infernape, and a new member was added into the ranch an Eevee named spice caught by Sparks' father. Riolu then walked up to spice and said hello but was ignored completely. Riolu then got hit in the back by a night slash and fell over and got up, "(Did that hurt? Well there's more where that came from you piece of crap,)" Honchkrow said. Riolu then turned around and looked at Honchkrow but riolu gets picked up by sparks "I don't want you two attacking each other right now," Sparks said. "Wait I haven't given any of you nicknames, your nickname will be Ruffian from now on" Riolu then rolled his eyes, Sparks then put down Riolu "Now Riolu don't get into any trouble okay," Sparks said, Riolu then wanders around then almost gets hit by a ice beam, Riolu then turned around and saw that Steelix and Piplup are fighting again Riolu barely manages to break them up before things could get of hand, Riolu then gets hit in the back by a sucker punch then turns around and looks at Honchkrow, Riolu then growls his patience growing thin, Riolu then walks away then gets hit in the back by a sucker punch Riolu's patience has disappeared and Riolu turned around "(What's wrong are you scared?)" Honchkrow said, Riolu then used quick attack and caught Honchkrow off guard and knocked him 20 feet away "(No I'm angry)" Riolu said. Riolu turned around and walked away, Riolu then hears Honchkrow flying towards him and ducks and Honchkrow flies overhead and crashes into a tree, Riolu then face paws and continues walking towards the tree "(I'm going to regret doing this but I must)" Riolu said as he pulls Honchkrow out of the tree, Riolu successfully pulls Honchkrow out of the tree and lets go and walks away towards the house, Honchkrow then gets angry and tackles Riolu, Riolu then slams the left palm of his paw onto honchkrows chest and launches a light blue blast from his left paw and it launches Honchkrow into Steelix, Riolu then gets up and continues to walk towards the house"(He has more power than I expected,)" Honchkrow said. Riolu then looks in through the window to see what's going on and sees Spice is inside looking around Riolu then walks away from the window and wanders around then walks up to Piplup and says hello "(Man Honchkrow been picking on you since like the day you came,)" Piplup said. Before Riolu could respond he was tackled by Honchkrow "(Get off of me you numbskull)" Riolu said. "(Nope)" Honchkrow replies. Piplup then uses bubble beam on Honchkrow and knocks him off, Riolu then gets up and thanks Piplup and looks at Honchkrow, "(I challenge you to a fight Riolu!)" Honchkrow said. "(Well I gladly accept you're challenge,)" Riolu said. Riolu then lunges at Honchkrow and Honchkrow uses Dark pulse, Riolu then spins to the right dodging the attack and kicks Honchkrow in the chest launching him a good foot away, "(I never expected you to be this strong have you been training since the day I defeated you that one time)" Honchkrow said. Riolu nods and then jumps back, Honchkrow then flies directly at Riolu, At the last second Riolu spins to the left dodging the attack and then punches Honchkrow causing him to stop flying and to fall onto the ground, Honchkrow gets frustrated and gets up, Riolu then uses screech then lunges at Honchkrow and slams the palm of his left paw onto honchkrow's chest and launches a light blue blast through the left palm causing Honchkrow to fly into a boulder and slide down unable to move, Honchkrow is declared unable to battle By piplup "(You defeated one of the most elite Pokémon in this ranch I'm guessing that makes you stronger than most of us,)" Piplup said. Sparks was watching the whole battle, Honchkrow tries to get up but fails Riolu then walks up to Honchkrow and helps him get up, Honchkrow then launches a powerful attack at Riolu's stomach and it hits, Riolu then coughs up blood and is launched backwards, Honchkrow then gets up and walks away, a few storm clouds roll in and it starts to rain golf ball sized hail, Riolu then gets pelted by them along with other Pokémon Riolu then takes shelter behind a tree with other Pokémon and waits out the storm, 30 minutes later the storm passes and everyone walks away from the tree, Riolu then gets struck by a lightning bolt which scares the heck out of some of the Pokémon. Riolu wakes up in the house a day later with his burn wounds from being hit by the lightning bolt treated, Riolu then takes the blanket he is covered with off then gets up and walks around and exits the house, Riolu then walks up to Piplup "(So what happened while I was out?)" Riolu asked. "(Well when you got struck by the lightning bolt you went out I'm sure it shocked you more than that raichu did. Sparks brought you into the house and the burn marks on you were treated with a burn medicine. They then laid you on the coffee table and put a cotton blanket on you and I was by your side most of the time. And that's pretty much it except for Infernape she became the new leader or co-leader as I would call it I don't know her nickname I forgot it again anyways that pretty much wraps it up. Plus the last time I was struck by lightning I was in pain for weeks I'm surprised you're not in that much pain,)" Piplup replied. "(Oookay?)" Riolu said "(I'm going to get going,)" Riolu then walks up to a tree and sits down, "Hey Riolu I have something to show you!" Sparks said running up to Riolu. Sparks then fitted a leather and metal gauntlet behind the nub on the back of Riolu's left paw "With this you'll always be able to remember me. I hope," Sparks said "Well I better get going" Sparks then hugged Riolu and walked away and started doing errands for his parents, Riolu then walked to the southern fences and almost gets hit by a bubble beam, Riolu then walked back to the house and found Steelix and Piplup fighting again "(Get out of my way I'm going to kill that infernape,)" Steelix said, Riolu sighed and slammed his left paw against Steelix's head and slams his right paw against Piplup's forehead, "(Give me a reason not to force palm the both of you,)" Riolu said in a annoyed voice. "(Uh never mind I don't think I want to kill that infernape anymore,)" Steelix said in a scared voice as he went away. Riolu then toke his right palm off of Piplup and lowered his left, an Infernape then walked up to Riolu "(Let me guess you're the new co-leader of the ranch,)" Riolu said. Infernape nods "Hey Ruffian come in here I have someone to show you!" Sparks said. Riolu then walked into the house, Sparks then Showed Riolu a riolu nicknamed Spade, "My father just caught him or is he a she I don't know today I hope the both of you can become friends," Sparks said. Riolu then gets hit by an ice beam and is engulfed in ice, apparently Piplup and Steelix are going at it again, and Riolu is dragged outside and sparks chisels Riolu out of the ice, once Riolu is chiseled out of the ice he appears to have one emotion on his face, Anger because Piplup froze him, Riolu then tries to take a few steps then falls over
