Winter slowly replaced the dying fall season. My mom passing away effected my life to the point waking up was a chore. Sometimes I would just lie in bed for the entire day, while Lu took care of me. He spent every second of his day with me, always making sure I was as happy as I could possibly be. And dammit I feel terrible knowing I'm dragging him down with me. But he is sure as hell on a mission to pull my head above water. Every morning he was up before me, always holding me. And every single night he would hold me til I fell asleep. Even when we scattered my mom's ashes, he comforted both me and my dad. He was a picture perfect husband, making sure his princess was always the number one priority.

Today however, was a different day.

A furry arm slowly found its way around my side as I fully opened my eyes looking face to face with Lu. He was already smiling and spoke, "so how we feeling today?"

You know what? I think it's about time I cut my depression act and make my living husband happy, no point in wallowing in sadness and bring him down too. As much as it hurts to let go of my mom, she is in fact gone. No denying that.

Before I spoke, I leaned in towards him brought my lips to his. My action completely caught him off guard, but he let out a soft moan and returned my kiss with a greater ferocity. He seemed absolutely elated I was no longer acting like a rock. And that alone set the rest of my day in a positive image that I could make Lu happy.

He pulled off first but quickly followed up with, "well I'm glad you're finally awake."

I jumped up out of bed, full of energy. I didn't even hesitate pulling the covers off of him and practically picking him up out of bed. "Come on soldier time to get out and enjoy the day!"

He stumbled to his feet attempting to regain his balance. "Did I do something wrong?"

I responded by wrapping my arms around him, and giving him another hearty kiss. "No sir, I'm just trying to apologize for making the last few months hell for you."

He returned my embrace and rested his head on my shoulder, "Sarah, I would do anything for you. And if that means holding you until you fall asleep, then that's what it means. Hun', you're the love of my life, and I can't live with myself knowing I'm not giving you my all."

I bumped my head off of his, "trust me, I'm the luckiest woman in the world to have a companion care this much. You literally stayed in bed with me for like half a year. There is literally no way to repay that."

"Sarah, I love spending every single second with you. Everyday you woke up in my arms made my life just a little bit better knowing that this person loves me as much as I love her." He kissed me on the cheek before ending with, "I had zero regrets then, I have none now."

I teared up a little bit, but for once it wasn't out of sadness. "I love you so much Lu... I love you."

He let go of me, and made sure I was looking at him. "I love you too my love."

He then grabbed me again, leaned me back, and gave me kiss while I had one leg hanging in the air. A low growl came out of Lu's lips, completely out of pleasure. Those little growls drove me crazy, it was his sign of love, and a sign that I was his. It wasn't even a controlling growl, just a way to tell me that he was there for me, and me only.

He pulled my back towards him, allowing me to plant my leg back on the ground when we finally let out lips go.

I opened up with a question, "what type of position was that?"

He blushed slightly, and scratched the back of his head. "I don't know, it just felt right... yea know?"

"Well I certainly enjoyed that."

His face receded to normal colors, "well I'll have to do that more often then."

Oh, so we're back to this flirting again? Man I love this relationship.

"Alright Lu, I think it's about time we take a step outside and get some fresh air!"

He happily nodded his head, grabbed my hand, and lead me downstairs. I looked out of a window at the bottom of the stairs, and instantly noticed snow on the ground. "Lu, did you know it snowed last night?"

He quickly responded, "I had no idea!"

We both smiled as Lu opened the front door causing the cold air to instantly send goose bumps up my entire body.

"Uhh I should change first, I'll be right down."

He took a step outside, "don't take too long!" and shut the door stopping the cold air from assaulting my body.

I wasted no time sprinting back up the stairs and changing into red and blue winter coat, and a pair of skinny blue jeans. It honestly wasn't the warmest clothing, but it was better then freaking short shorts. Back down the stairs, I found myself in a pair of black boots before I was outside in the wonderful world of snow.

But that wonderful sensation was quickly replaced with anxiety. Okay, what could Lu possibly be do...

*thud!*

A small snowball flew out of thin air, and landed perfectly on top of my head covering the upper portion of my body in snow. That was then followed up by the sound of laughter and some words, "you look good!"

I picked some snow off of the ground, and turned to face my assailant who was hiding behind a small shrub planted in the right side of our property. "Was that before or after the snow!" I threw the snowball back at him but of course I was off by like five feet.

His fur was already brilliantly laced with snow, making his blue fur look almost white. He ran over towards me and tackled me into the snow before I even had the chance to move. He gave me a cold kiss, but still one that was sweet. "You look amazing."

I laughed, "coming from the albino Lucario."

He shared my laughter, "give me a break."

Then a voice came from my neighbors yard, "hey get off of her!"

Lu snapped his head up, but didn't seem too concerned. "Oh hi Harry."

I was relieved knowing it was our nicest neighbor Harry, and not the old witch Barbra.

"So ya'll finally decided to come outside? I was getting worried you guys died in there or somethin'."

Lu jumped up to his feet, and pulled me up with him. And when I finally saw Harry his appearance threw me off. "Uhh dude you realize you're just wearing shorts right?"

He looked down at himself, almost like he actually didn't know, but he replied, "yeah didn't feel like getting dressed up."

Then Lu added in, "lucky for me I don't have to dress up!"

I lightly punched his arm, "yeah but you'll have to on wedding night."

He lowered his head slightly and pitifully let out, "I know..."

"Oh I see yea finally got yer' ring Lu."

Lu grabbed my hand and held it up," our rings are a matching set, but we still have to get our actual wedding rings made, and plan the wedding."

Harry then spoke, "man ya'll people are really quite somethin' I can't even keep a steady relationship, but you two are stuck like glue."

I decided to chip in, "well maybe if you actually wore clothes you would attract more attention."

He laughed and headed back towards his house. "Well I hope ya'll have a good day!"

We both replied in unison, "you too."

Alright, now that there are no distractions, I swear I'm not gonna miss this time. Without Lu noticing, I managed to grab a handful of snow and smashed it right up against his chest. I looked up and practically froze in place. Not only did he not have a reaction, he had a giant pile of snow hovering over my head.

He let out an evil smirk before he dropped the snow on my head. I slouched my posture, now a little depressed my hair was all missed up. But to help cheer me up he said, "I'm sorry hun'."

I laughed and gave him a cold kiss to his muzzle, "me too."

He effortlessly lifted me off of the ground and carried me on his shoulder marching me back in doors. He licked his lips as he put me down, "hey Sarah, I think you should cook up some hot chocolate."

I nodded and hustled towards our kitchen to prepare the drink. To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of hot chocolate, but if Lu wanted it, he was going to get it. He followed me into the kitchen and took a seat waiting patiently. I always find it funny how much he enjoys chocolate.

We conversed for a little bit until the drink was finally ready. I poured some into a cup, and decided I would at least give it another try. He carefully took the cup out of my hands, and took a slow sip of the drink. He finished the entire cup before he spoke, "nothing quite like a nice hot drink on a cold day!"

I smiled before I took a sip of my own drink. And just like before I didn't enjoy it so I just passed it off to Lu. "Ehh, I'm not that big of a fan. I'm glad you like it though."

He seemed displeased that I didn't enjoy my own drink, but he finished off the rest for me. "Thanks for the pleasant treat."

I walked over to him and kissed him, "anytime."

"Hey Sarah, a little bit ago you were asking me would I be willing to, but you never finished your sentence. I've been thinking about it, and I just wanted to let you know I be willing to do anything you wanted me to."

Oh god, why does he always randomly bring these things up? And does anything literally mean anything? Is sex included in this package? I never really asked or even brought it up before. But after this mornings events he seems to be trying to make a move. And I sure as hell won't reject his advances.

"Is something wrong Sarah?"

I didn't even realize just how long I was standing still lost in thought. "No, just taking in your words."

"Why, trying to think of something I wouldn't do? Cause if you asked me to leave, I wouldn't."

That put a tear in my eye, that fact he loved me so much to the point he would refuse to leave. Not like I ever would leave you.

He stood up and embraced me. "I couldn't ever bring myself to let you go."

For the first time in like a year he started to cry, "you make my life worth living Sarah. I swear to Arceus I would do anything with you. And if you die before I do, you'll have me close behind."

He practically collapsed in my arms but I stood strong using my entire body to keep his up. I managed to let one sentence out before I too collapsed to the ground, "Lu, I'm not going anywhere."

We were both on our knees holding each other on the ground, riding out our sudden emotional expressions together. Lu whimpered out, "I'm so scared of losing you Sarah... I don't want to lose you..."

I squeaked out, "I'm afraid of losing you too Lu... Trust me, everything will be alright, no one is going any where any time soon. I love you Lu, don't ever forget that."

We brought our lips together with tears still rolling down both of our faces. He mumbled out, "I love you too."
