#10 of The Beginning

"It seems Tokugawa has hired some new disciplinarian as headmaster." // "Yeah, the assholes in this school really need to be kept on a leash." // "Are you talking about.." // "Shh! He's right there, plus he's our senpai." // "And the interclasses are starting today. I hope I don't get stuck in Nobunaga-sensei's class, he'll eat me alive!" // "We just need to reserve the seats and we'll be fine!" // "But it's a first come first serve!"

A bell rang as it resounded throughout the hallways, the students glistening with smiling faces and cheerful shouts. The teachers of each room slumped as they quickly ran out of the classrooms. As they ran out, the teachers nodded to each other as they quickly bolted towards the tower in the school peach garden. They seemed to hastily run towards it, as they had a meeting they had to attended. A lot of them had very nervous and scared faces as well. Just then, the PA was turned on, a very cheery female voice was resounding from the speaker.

"Konnichiwa, minna!~ (Good afternoon everyone!) This is Hikaru Akarui, the Morning Sensation! I hope you guys are having a wonderful start to your school year!~" the female voice shouted as motivating and cheery background music erupted from the speaker.

"I-I-IT'S.. HIKARU-SENPAI!" a lot of the students exclaimed as the whole school building was in uproar. Meanwhile in the tower, the teachers would only gaze as the ground was literally shaking as every student in the building had caused a riot inside.

Raiki then gazed at the speaker, resting his jaw on his hand. "Hikaru is back, is she?" he said as he gave a little yawn as closed his eyes.

"H-H-Hikaru.." Guren said as she slowly closed her eyes as she fainted in the process. The students in the room halted their cheering as they supported the supposed popular Gardevoir. A number of them had exclaimed and had showed concern for her well being. Jason could only look around as the students cheered loudly. He was a bit irritated, but was curious nonetheless. Using his psychic abilities, Jason traced their thoughts and read them.

"Hikaru-senpai!!!" // "She's finally back, the morning star that brightens my day! Hikaru-senpai!" // "She's on PA again, great. Now the school's going to be like this everyday. Can't I just take a peaceful school day without these idiots screaming all the time? // "I wonder how Guren-senpai's going to keep up with a teen pop sensation like her?" // "Hikaru-senpai! She's sure to brighten our day with one of her songs!" // "This makes me want to go to school everyday!" // "Just look at Guren-senpai.. she's can't take another love rival can she?" // "Hikaru's sure to go for Raiki-senpai again, as always. It always gets Guren-senpai so agitated. Let's just hope she doesn't stay in this class."

'Hm.. looks like one of Raiki and Guren's friends. She has pretty fluent English too, like everyone in Tokugawa.' Jason thought to himself. But he knew he wanted to know more about this Hikaru person, and since Guren was fainting, he had one more person to ask for more information. "Oi.." he said, directing a comedic glare towards the male who sat beside him. Raiki then gazed at Jason with the same unamused look. A few minutes of deadpan stares as Raiki comedically and quickly looked at the other direction as he gave a scoff.

'This.. this.. little shit.' Jason thought to himself as his inner self burned with a rage that could kill.

"Hmph, if you must know, Hikaru is one of my juniors." Raiki said, an eye slightly staring at the young boy. "She studied in America, but was originally here in Japan."

"You don't need to be such a dick about it. You could've just told me." Jason, irritated to an extent replied back. Although he appreciated the gesture, it was rare coming from Raiki.

"That's no fun." Raiki said, a slight smirk forming on his face as he took a unfolded his legs that lay on the table. Taking a step on the table, the nimble teen jumped as he landed without falter onto the lower platform, like a cat. Placing his hands behind his head, the male exited the room as automatic doors closed behind him. The voice in the PA resounded once more with a hearty laugh.

"Ugh, where's he going?" Jason asked himself as he gave an irritated look at the departing male.

"That's right, minna-san! (That's right, everyone!) Today is the return of the special college-high school interclasses! Where you get to meet your senpais from the higher curriculum!" Hikaru said on the PA, quite cheerful about this. With this announcement, a number of the students were in high spirits as they stood up and got more rambunctious. "So, guys! Let's get to our rooms before the application list fills up! Remember: it's first come, first served! Once again, konnichiwa, minna-san!" Hikaru ended as the music faded away.

With a chilling silence, the rooms were quiet for about five seconds. Jason gazed at everyone as they succumbed to the silence. Then his senses picked up that he had to save his position in the music department. Without hesitation, Jason then climbed up his table and hastily ran outside the room. With that snap second, everyone started to riot as they chased after Jason, with the same reason as him: to reserve their places. Within the lapse of Jason being the hallway, he was one door burst open as students flowed from it like a raging river, they seem to be headed towards the tower the teachers were in. Not knowing where he was supposed to go, Jason had spotted Raiki. Again, he had to ask him where the music room was.

"Raiki!--" Jason called out, but just then, Raiki turned his head to look at Jason behind him as he gave him a short farewell gesture.

"Later." he said with a cool composure as he dissipated in lightning, disappearing without a trace.

"Dammit!" Jason exclaimed as he stomped at the floor. But without a second thought, he gazed a the students from inside his room stampeding towards him. Before he knew it, Jason was already consumed by the raging river of students, Jason had to claw his way out of the crowd.

--

As Raiki was going to open the tower's doors, he looked back and saw the security holding back the students from exiting the building.

"P-Please! Let us wait for the headmaster to make the necessary decisions!" one of the men said, as he tried to hold back the flocking students. Raiki seemed unfazed as they tried to escape the security, seeing as they have already resorted to their necessary barrier formation to hoold back the students. "Dammit, it's like this every year!" he exclaimed as he tried to hold back the students using a mirror like barrier, along with the other personnel. "H-Hey, what's he doing out there?!" he said as he noticed that Raiki clearly got out of the building faster than anyone. "Send a dispatch unit! The headmaster's going to have our heads!"

Jason tried to push back the incoming students that were shoving him away, as he wore a comedically angry face. "H-HEY! DANGIT! THOSE AREN'T THINGS YOU SHOULD BE TOUCHING, PERV!" he exclaimed as he clawed his way inside to reclaim some space and rest. "Ugh, it's no use. It's like trying to walk through cement." Jason then gazed at the elevator, as he thought of an idea. Quickly, the male ran towards the lift as he opened it, closing it in before anyone could enter. "I bet if I get on top of the roof deck."

Meanwhile, outside as Raiki was about to pull the doors, as sudden drop came from the roof. It was a male wearing the Tokugawa uniform as an orange scarf cloaked his face, only his topaz eyes being shown, orange hair flowed like fire as his landing scorched the very earth itself. The male gave Raiki a lone finger as he pointed it towards him. "Kizu-san! I'm not going to let you enter that door!" he exclaimed a fiery aura enveloping his body, the heat was as intense as magma.

"Hmph. Netsu, I should've known you would interrupt me. You're still keeping tough act up, are you? Should I take you down a notch?" Raiki said, as he turned around, flaring his volatile lightning as streaks of blue bolts descended from the sky, gray clouds rolled in as it simply darkened the horizon. Amber eyes faded into gold as his rigid canines came to grow in length. Raiki growled he added more intimidation to his adversary by releasing a battle cry, followed with a devastating roar of thunder, as if he commanded it himself. "Bring it, punk." he taunted, the male charged up seeming to lay waste on this battlefield. With this, the unruly students were taken in by silence and fear.

"I-I-Isn't R-Raiki-senpai taking too seriously?" // "He's getting overboard this year." // "To think he'd be the silent type yet so ambitious, I'll never really understand him." // "It's always like this every year. Netsu-senpai and Raiki-senpai going at it. Seems like they're going to finally kill each other." // "The Combat class students are really a rambunctious bunch. It's always fighting."

The students were at awe of Raiki's power, although was very disappointed at this was not necessary at all. Some of the students hit their faces with their palms as they sighed. The group simply came at ease, knowing that they would be killed if they even took a step out of there.

"Hah!" Netsu exclaimed, smiling widely as his sharp canines showed as well. "I'm all fired up, you little kitten!" he exclaimed once more. Netsu simply put his intimidation up a notch, as breathed fire, every exhalation he executed was accompanied with devilish breath of heat. Yellow eyes gazed at his enemy as he stomped on the ground, seemingly breaking the concrete under his soles. Two craters erupted behind him as lava went for its course, fire erupting from his very feet. "I'm going to burn you to a crisp!" Fists flaring with an omnipotent flame, the male lunged at Raiki.

"Hmph." Raiki said, his eyebrows creasing, as he tapped his shoe on the ground with his eyes closed. He then opened it once more, to glare at the oncomig enemy as he quickly dissipated into lightning. Without coming off a fighting stance, Raiki was already in a deadly fighting position due to the quick reflexes he had. Raiki was as versatile and quick as lightning, therefore, any intervals for breaks was completely fantasy. Raiki, with a fist coated with blue lightning, was hoping to meet the punch of Netsu.

_"ENOUGH!!" _

A booming shout erupted as before the two had collided, a powerful shriek of black lightning met their collision course as their proximities were lengthened. With a shout of pain, Netsu was thrown aback as he landed face first onto the floor in a comedic manner. Although for Raiki, being as nimble as he is, quickly reverted to a retreating stance as he landed grcefully aback, avoiding the peculiarly colored lightning. Raiki blinked in amazement as the dust cloud settled, revealing a tall man with an oddly styled hair-do.

The male seemed to be wearing a cape of some sort as a piece of cloth flowed from behind him. The silhouette had its arms crossed as he slowly walked towards the middle of the two. It grasped it's cape as he swooped away the cloud that obscured their visions. He revealed that the cloth was not a cape, but a black suit jacket with gold embellishments. The male sighed as he dusted off the suit jacket. "You children, my suit's all dirty." he said as his face was slowly being revealed. His lips were graced with a Chinese-styled mustache and goatee, his sideburns grew up to shoulder length and some hair beside his forehead stuck out symmetrically. The male's thick and manly eyebrows creased as his golden eyes; like that of a Luxray's gazed at Raiki.

Raiki's eyes widened as his jaw dropped. He was informed that the new headmaster was one to enforce the rules and discipline, although none had ever contained the male, he was too much of a rebel to even be quelled, but it had seemed he found his match.

"If I only knew this is the trouble you caused everyday, I would've applied for the job earlier. Isn't that right... son?" he asked as he gave Raiki a giant grin as he fixed his purple tie.

"F-FATHER?!!" He excalimed, mouth agape as he could not believe his eyes. The new headmaster was his own father?! Raiki had not imagined this scenario in his whole life.

"RAIJI-SAMA?!" Netsu exclaimed as he got off his knocked off position as he fixed his scarf in the process.

"KIZU-SAMA?!" Every student who was fended off by the guards exclaimed as all their eyes widened in surprise.

"R-R-Raiji--.. sama--" Guren said as she felt faint once more, which followed through the support of the male students as they showed concern for their senpai.

Raiji then gave a smile of victory, although not winning anything, he won the student's attention. With one eye closed, Raiji pointed at the students with a smug look, as a comedic shine came from his teeth. The older male wore his suit jacket on his back, under that he wore a black vest with a purple tie and a purple long sleeved polo. His left hand was adorned with an open fingered black glove, like Raiki's. Raiji then took off the glove as he kept it inside his pocket. "Having to make me use this so early in my career is very, very disappointing. These old bones aren't what they used to be, I used to be able to kill people with that kind of voltage." he explained as he lifted both males in the air with the use of his black lightning.

Flabbergasted, the two were lifted in the air, latched onto the leg by a giant blak hand made out of lightning. Raiji then placed both his hands on his hips as he leaned in to take a good look. His golden pupils surveyed the two as it shifted from Raiki to Netsu, then back and forth. The proud father took Raiki's cheek as he pinched it, along with a cheerful smile. "Now we can spend some quality time in my office, son! This turned out to be a great first day!" he exclaimed heartily as he laughed with a very baritone voice. Raiki only adverted his eyes as he crossed his arms in irritation, giving his father a slightly pompous pout. Raiji then walked between them as he gestured for his lightning hands to follow him to his office in the Administrative building, the building that was adorned with lights and an interior that looked like the bridge of a spacecraft.

"General Raiji? Y-You mean.. the man who led the defense of Shinzuku City during the Conspiracy's attack. That man? We're all as good as dead once we step out of line." One of the guards said as a numner of them sweated heavily due to the shockig revelation.

--

During the next few minutes, the students were released and now have entered the tower. At the roof deck of the classroom building..

"I-- I'm finally here!" Jason exclaimed as he climbed onto the ledge of the roof. The male was excited to be one of the first students out there, and he was sure to endure the attacks of both lightning and fire, as they are his weaknesses. He believed the battlefield down there was a his own personal death sentence. But as he gazed down to jump, he already saw the students rushing in towards the tower. Jason's eyes then widened as he quickly jumped down, concrete cracking by just a bit due to the height he had fallen from. But there was no time to think, the last of the students were almost filling the tower. Jasonr raced towards the doors.

As the automatic door slided for him, he gazed at the lobby and it was empty. The male's heartbeat stopped as if the whole room was turning blank on him. He had been hearing the rumors of Nobunaga's class being a horrible one, and those have not reserved their seats would be stuck in his class. Nobunaga's class was the Combat class, that being filled with the toughest and competitive students in all of Tokugawa. That being a harsh environment and filled with fighters out of everyone's league, less experienced fighters tend to avoid the combat class as Nobunaga had been very strict with his students and their training is quite rigorous.

Jason had his eyes set for the music class, to hone his abilities with the musical arts. With a hasty mindset, Jason quickly ran towards the room. As he passed empty hallways, his heart beat raced faster. Just then he bumped onto a male, due to his hastiness, he dropped on the floor and did not see him at all. The male seemed to have dropped some papers.

The blonde gazed at the male with a confused face as he tilted his head. He stuck his hand out to reach for the male's hand. Jason quickly grabbed it as he was pulled back up in standing position. The male's eyes widened as he was pulled back up with ease, seeing as he was of a slim build, he didn't think he would be able to pull him up with one hand. The blonde surveyed the shorter male as he dusted off his uniform. He wore a peculiar undershirt, he was wearing the black jacket of the high school students but had his right sleeve intentionally torn off, his left sleeve was folded, tailored with gems and he wore a orange and black striped long sleeve shirt. Although he seemed a highschool student, Jason was sure that he wasn't.

"Oh, I'm sorry." he started as he gave the male a smile. "You're late, what room are you in?" he asked as a yellow bolt of electricity had fixed the papers in place and back into his hand. He gazed at his papers for a few seconds then back to Jason's visage.

'He reminds me so much of that Kiyoshi person... not that's.. a bad thing.' Jason's thoughts automatically swirled around his head. "I'm heading for the Music class." Jason said as he tried to return an appreciative gesture by smiling sheepishly, nervously scratching the back of his head.

"What a coincidence." The blonde's eyebrows rose as gazed at the male with squinted eyes. "Hm.. by any chance, are you that transfer student I've been hearing about?" the male asked as he gazed at the ceiling, thinking with a small and cute pout.

"Um, hai, if that's how you say yes." Jason smiled sheepishly, gazing at the ground slightly giving out a small but choking laugh. 'Ugh, fuck fuck fuck.'

"Hm?" The choking of the male caught the blonde's attention as he covered his mouth and gave out a little giggle. "Naruhodo (I see.).. You're correct." he said with a very amused face.

'He probably thinks I'm some wannabe Japanese student, goddamit.' Jason chuckled at his reaction, but inside he was slowly dying. 'I promise to make my betters respect, he's probably someone of high stature. This isn't a good first impression.'

"Well, follow me then. We're in the same class, apparently." The blonde turned and walked towards the hallway as Jason jogged to catch up with him.

"What do you mean? Isn't this a first come, first served?" Jason asked, a bit confused.

"Well, my friend told me that you should be inside this class. She's a really close friend, but she's not telling me why she looks out for you. I don't think you even know her." A slight chuckle, the blonde closed his eyes in confusion as he shook his head.

"Hm.. I don't know anyone here. That's weird. What's her name?" Jason said as he pondered as he gave deep thought to the situation.

"To be honest with you, she doesn't want you to know. I don't know, but I do keep my word." The blonde said as he was looking around for the room they were supposed to be in.

'Suspicious. His aura doesn't seem to be faltering. He can't tell because he kept his word.' Jason thought as he gave the blonde a slightly awkward stare.

"Hm? Is something the matter?" The blonde's eyes widened as he looked at Jason with a confused face.

"O-Oh! It's n-nothing, p-please! Carry on! I'm very sorry." Jason said as he looked down on the ground, quite embarrassed that he was caught by the stranger.

The blonde giggled once more as he smiled at the younger and shorter male. "Don't be so apologetic, it'll become a disadvantage one day."

"I-I see. I'm sorry." Jason said, still not making eye contact with the taller male. The mere mention of not being apologetic that followed through with another apology left the blonde in a fit og laughter.

"I bet the women just eat you up." he remarked as he gave Jason a cool smile.

"U-Um. Not really." Jason have another sheepish smile as he blushed slightly.

--

Seconds after, the two had already found the room and as the blonde opened the sliding doors, a flurry of female screams had been heard from the inside of the room. The blonde could only wave and smile sheepishly at those who would be screaming at his presence. Jason, a bit irritated tried to ignore the flurry of women flocking with him. The blonde just told them to calm down as he took his seat at the very top of the platform, and away from the women that flocked him.

The blonde then gestured for Jason to sit next to him to which he complied with. The male took his seat and placed his bag near him, only to find that the blonde stranger had been gazing at him with fervor.

"U-U-Um.. why is he looking at me like that?' Jason thought with a horrified look on his face.

"Anyways, you probably don't know this. But I am your senpai for this class." The blonde remarked as he reverted to a normal taking position. "My name is Sadao Hakuoro, and I'll be your senpai or senior in English for music. I'm a college student, it's part of the project we have to strengthen relations with the high school students, more importantly you seniors since you graduate next year. Hm, where should I start? Don't join the fraternities here, some of them engage in the worst possible vices you could think of. They kill without remorse and betray their own. Learn to keep up with your deadlines, it'll become something useful in the near future. And, don't be apologetic, it's a disadvantage." Sadao smiled as he tilted his head. "Those are the only things you need to survive our department. Hm, now something about me.." Sadao said as he pondered at what to say.

"I'm Sadao Hakuoro, you may call me Hakuoro-senpai for formalities or simply Sadao-senpai for informal meetings. Usually, a college student is assigned to a student to help them with their studies. We're not actually graded in this class, it's more voluntarily, than mandatory. Plus, I've been given a special task for you. I'm to teach you the honorifics we use, basic and slang Japanese so you know when someone's talking behind your back.." Sadao said as he kept on thinking at what to say.

'Yeah.. I really, really need that.' Jason thought as he was reminded of the stunts Raiki had pulled on him during his first day. He knew there were some insults hidden in his words. "Um, if you don't mind me asking.. what does usuratonkachi mean?" Jason asked, itching to know this little nickname.

"Hm.." Sadao pondered as he tapped his chin, and then gave the male a deadpan stare. "Dumbass."

'That little shit...!' Jason screamed inside his head as he was close to tearing his hair out. "Oh.. th-thanks." Jason said, trying to suppress his anger.

"I'm straying away from my introduction, sorry." Sadao smiled. But now he already knew how to relay his words. "I'm Sadao Hakuoro, and I am the heir to the Hakuoro noble clan in Shinzuku. My father's a businessman and is currently one of the top salesman in his own industry, he and one of his friends who's son is also my best friend is rivalled with the Kagayaku-Kizu corporation to where they settle their fights with sales and progress. But enough of that, about me, well I have some things that I like and some things that I hate. But I do know how to give appreciation to someone who deserves it. I love to write, I write in my spare time. I hate lateness, it's something I've disliked for quite awhile now, so be best to remember that. I also hate waking up early, I just throw the angriest fits around the house. And as you may have known, I'm quite popular, as most people say, the display there was only a small contingent. I have a really big 'fanbase'. As you probably know earlier, my family and the Kizus and Kagayakus have been under heat for awhile now. Raiki Kizu, the famous combatant specialist is someone I haven't have been in good terms with." Sadao said, looking down at his feet, feeling a bit sad.

"It's okay I--" Jason said, but was interrupted abruptly by the blonde.

"I completely despise him." He said with a big smile, a smile as sadistic as Kiyoshi's.

'Okay! I really think this is the actual Kiyoshi, the world is screwing with me right now!' Jason exclaimed inside his head as he just gave the male a nervous smile. But he couldn't agree more, they both hated the male. 'But.. he does have a point. And a completely sound reason to hate him.'

"Oh, class is about to start. It's about time I teach you how we do things here in my domain." Sadao cooed slightly with a low chuckle.

'Please tell me he doesn't mean what I'm thinking.' Jason pleaded as he rolled his eyes in mere nervousness.

--

The bell had rang, signalling the end of the special period. The students exited the classrooms as most of them had been talking to their assigned senpai as they left their classes. Jason with Sadao had already left their room as they were merrily talking to each other, seeing as they have the correct resonance. Jason had finally found someone to call his friend.

"Your talent with the piano is amazing, Jason-kun." Sadao said in a very cool voice as he gave the male a nonchalant smile.

Jason blushed in embarrassment as he sscratched the back of his head. "Well, I am pretty proud of my finger skills."

"Finger skills, huh?" Sadao giggled as bit as he adverted his eyes in a coy manner. "How dirty, Jason-kun.~"

"W-Wait no! I didn't mean--!" Jason retorted as his blush reddened in intensity. "Senpai, please it's not--!"

"I'm joking, don't take it seriously at all." Sadao said, playfully punching the other male's shoulder. Afterwhich the two had been walking across a long, glass window as pink leaves scattered all over the place. "The cherry blossoms don't have much time left." Sadao said, his smile unwavering. A lone hand took something out of his bag, a very expensive phone. The blonde had opened it to his camera application and switched it to the front camera. "How's about a picture for our first meeting?"

Jason then nodded and smiled. "O-Of course!" he replied with a beaming face.

Sadao then placed his arm around the male's waist quickly as he neared his head towards him, placing the camera in front of them. Jason particularly felt unease when the male had to touch that sensitive part of his, it was quite unnerving, seeing as he had only knew him for an hour. But, he decided he was overthinking things. In no way was this somewhat used in a dirty way. It was normal for guys to do this, right? Jason was very conflicted. Both of them smiled at the camera as Sadao pressed the capture button.

"Well, this looks good." Sadao said as he glazed over the picture. "Well, I should walk you home--"

"Oi!" A familiar voice rang as the blonde was abruptly interrupted. Creasing his eyebrows in a glare, Sadao gazed at the intruder of their conversation. It was Raiki, who had been fresh out of his father's office who seemed extra angry today about some things. "You, Kiyoshi-senpai's calling for you. He needs to orient you with the members of--" Raiki then choked as he gazed at the blonde, his black eyebrows creasing, ivory skin flaring in anger as two of his fists clenched in anger.

Raiki's eyes bruned with intense anger. "Sadao.." he growled, his canines growing longer by the second, his eyes flashing gold then back to amber once more. It was a sign that was not pleased to seeing the male.

"Ah, Raiki-chan.." Sadao replied with a sadistic smile, as he gave no heed to the other's agitation. "You're as cute as ever, are you?~"

'This isnt good.. their auras are clashing with each other. They're really going to kill themselves if I don't stop this.' Jason thought, as he quickly tried to think of a solution.

"Cute, huh? Let's see how cute I am when I rip your face off, you little--!" Raiki snarled his fingernails starting to grow into an intensive length. But before Raiki could even get his hands on the blonde, Jason hugged the male as tried to push him back.

"A-Alright, Kiyoshi wanted me to do what? Let's go, let's go! I'm sorry, senpai, we'll have to talk at another time!" Jason said as he forcefully pushed Raiki away, resulting in his relaxation. Raiki was completely calmed once the shorter male had tried to comfort him. Was he using some sort of aura to alleviate his anger?

"Ah, that's quite alright, Jason-kun. Have fun!" Sadao waved goodbye as he turned and left. 'Hmph, so the little kitten's still kicking around, is he? He's got eyes on my prize too it seems.' Sadao thoguht before leaving, his cool demeanor was facaded by a sadistic mask.
