Freedom
#11 of Poetry
Because sometimes we forget to let go and forgive
We walk around our towns and cities
Going about our daily lives for this and that
Along the way we here the abject committees
Their opinions forced upon us as though they spat.
Yet even within our closest allies
Our those who lies and those who belies
And for all the freedoms I do hold
I'm constantly and even now, always told.
Enough!
Not everyone is here to be a friend
There is no hope if we all pretend
That those who make us cry
Will for our friendship, every try.
Freedom can only come when we learn to let go.
Take those binds, grasp the chains, and break them all
Seize a break, see the sun, just say to all the pain, no.
Take the words of those who care and drown the drawl.
Seek a mirror, see the shimmer and smile wide
You're more than this and always have been.
Let yourself soar, and see the world on a mile high glide
Forget the pain, just let it go and show your sheen.
The world smiles and the wind flies
Let it take you and forget the lies.
Freedom only comes when you learn to let go
Spread your wings, let your beauty glow.
