#1 of Hazel Hill

Four years of drudging high school had finally paid off! Countless hours he had spend doing work instead of partying with his old middle school classmates. Sure he attended every single party offered in high school and sure he barely got into even this college, but not even that could sate his hunger for a good time. No one thought he'd ever pass four grades in a row, and if it hadn't been for the outlook of college and getting out of his boring town then he never would have.

The fruits of his efforts had finally come to realization as he knelt by a drawer in Collins, one of the common dorms on campus. He transferred one black shirt after another from his grocery bag into the drawers, checking to make sure all his favorite ones had made the trip. A raccoon, raver by his style of dress, sat behind him at a desk with his feet propped up.

"So, my new roommate is a mage blood? I've heard of your kind before, just never thought I'd end up getting to know one." The raccoon remarked casually, waving to a RA that passed by the open door. "So Aka, what was it like when you were younger- suddenly becoming different?"

Aka was silent for a moment, seeming to decide whether he wanted to answer the question as he unpacked the last shirt. "It's really none of your business, Zeik." He finally stated bluntly. He was proud of his powers, but that was only because he could control them now. He didn't have a cute I was scared and suddenly saved everyone with a supernatural ability' story. His delve into adolescence and the awakening of his magehood was raw and harsh.

Zeik blinked a couple times at his red fox roommate before smiling again and letting out a laid back "Nah, it really isn't is it? Besides, we don't have time for long stories if we're going to go to the freshman mixer."

"They going to have beer?" Aka asked in response, letting his aggressive tone fade.

"I'm afraid not at this party, it's school sponsored and you're the only freshman I know of that's legally allowed to drink." He paused for a moment, seeing the fox's disinterest. "But hey, this'll be the place where we can network, find out who would be throwing actual parties outside the school's knowledge."

Aka took a glance at Zeik's wall clock and nodded, heading to the door wordlessly as his raccoon roommate hopped up and left behind him, not bothering to close the door all the way. He never would have expected it, back home even leaving a single door unlocked was an invitation to be robbed. Here it seemed locking the door indicated that there was something to steal and made you more susceptible.

They walked together out of Collins and into the late-summer heat of Hazel Hill campus. An almost uncomfortable amount of non-sentient squirrels ran around on four legs as scattered sentient students meandered toward the student center and dining hall on two legs.

Most of them had even on the first day of school made good friends and were taking endlessly on frivolous topics, but there were a few like Aka and Zeik who trotted next to each other without a word.

One person in particular however caught his attention before they arrived. She was ahead of them, walking alone with a stride of confidence and superiority. By appearance she was some kind of black wolf, but her muzzle was shorter than he would have expected and there was something unusually fluid about her movements. She wore turquoise bands around one of her wrists, the opposite ankle, her neck, and at the base of her tail. Her shirt teasingly showed her mid-drift and her shorts revealed a tantalizing view of her soft dark legs.

"Hottie at 2, wolf girl." Aka whispered to Zeik. The raccoon turned his head and studied the figure for a second before turning back. "I guess so, but you can tell she's about as attractive as she's going to get and still isn't as pretty as some of the other freshman I've seen. Besides, she looks even older than you.

Aka narrowed his eyes for a second at the scathing review then relaxed. If Zeik didn't see the fine tune sexiness of the turquoise bound wolf that was just his loss. But man, just to imagine her with bedroom eyes. Murrrr....

Luckily no one noticed the subtle bulge in Aka's pants as he fantasized all the rest of the way to the cleared out dining hall. Almost all the freshman were gathered here, talking amongst each other and snacking on the food that had been provided. In reality Aka wouldn't have minded just going out and snatching up one of the squirrels for dinner, but hunting critters on campus was forbidden and he really didn't want to be expelled before he had a chance to even see a good party.

Aka split off from Zeik as they entered, starting a tag-team effort to work their way into the Hazel Hill underground by talking to every upper-classman they could find that had snuck in. It was a hard search but after a good fifteen minutes Zeik managed to find an otter named Blair who was having a party the next day off campus.

The entire time Aka kept an eye out for that wolf girl he'd spotted earlier. It wasn't until halfway through the mixer that he finally caught sight of her. What an unfortunate sight it was though. He saw her first sitting in a chair checking out the other freshman when a group of three sets of mates- visible by their gold collars of varying design- walked up to her and apparently tried to start conversation. She remained aloof and uninterested it seemed until the last of the mates introduced themselves. Aka was almost there when she darted up from her seat, glared daggers at a red wolf introducing his collie mate to her, and stomped off. "Fuck you and your beautiful mate Sylvia'" He heard her grumble to herself as she walked past him, pads hitting hard against the thinly carpeted concrete.

He'd wanted to do that a couple times to through the evening in all honesty with all the students having become mates out of high school, but she really seemed to be taking it hard. "Hey wait!" he called out as he turned to follow.

She ignored him and kept walking. He tried again and still no answer. After getting almost halfway across the dining hall she spun around and glared at him, her deep blue eyes boring into his mind an image or rage and pain. "None of your business, idiot kid." She yelled before she... disappeared.

Disappeared though perhaps was not the best description. She was still there in plain view; just all of a sudden it became extremely hard to focus on her. Even the smallest movement of students around them drew more attention than her retreating form. It was like she had suddenly become a part of the background, as noticeable as a piece of lint on the floor or a single decoration amongst many in the wall.

"Hottie?" Aka whispered as he looked around for her. No, she wasn't around him, she was ahead of him. If he concentrated hard enough and focused entirely on looking for her he could just make out that she was stomping toward a corner of the room. He followed, though he could only now and then make out her location, and that was because he was seriously trying to. He'd have thought that her curves would help draw his eyes to her, but not even that seemed to help much.

When he arrived at the corner and studied the scenery closely he found her sitting on the floor with her muzzle between her knees. "Are you okay?" he asked softly as he knelt beside her; feeling as if he was talking to a houseplant.

"Go away" he heard her voice, though he almost didn't catch it. The sound now was as noticeable as the conversations of everyone in the background. If he hadn't known the exact voice he was listening for it would have doubtlessly been lost to him.

"You are hurting." He replied softly, not knowing what else to say. All of a sudden she appeared again to him in full detail. Her watery eyes looked up at him in sorrowful malice, as if she were about to kill him for hitting her non-sentient pet puppy.

"What are you trying to do, jerk? Get laid?" She sobbed at him, slowly rising to her fore and hind paws in an almost critter pose. Aka was knocked speechless and looked around. No one was paying them any attention whatsoever even though there were students just a few feet away. "Fine!" she practically yelled out once again to no one's notice. "Yiff me!"

"I... I..." he stuttered. Sure he'd been fantasizing about it for a good part of the evening but here? In a crowded room?

"Now." She demanded. In a flash it was like she had changed completely. She looked exactly the same but her beauty to Aka magnified ten fold. In one instant every strand of her fur seemed to be positioned to beautiful perfection, her face like that of a goddess, her breasts supple and crying out for attention from beneath the small purple shirt she wore.

Aka was torn, he wanted to reach out, more than anything, but wouldn't he be taking advantage of her? Not only that but what if this spell she seemed to have cast over the room wore off. A college party wasn't really a college party if you were expelled, right?

Before he could fully make up his mind she lunged at him and pinned him to the ground. "What? Am I not good enough to yiff? You don't have a collar and if you were so high and moral you wouldn't have been staring at my chest so constantly."

This was his chance, what was he doing? A hot chick just pounced him and was demanding that he show her what he could do. If he was good enough she might even let him do it again. His heart raced as she stoked his jeans with her long sexy legs and his hips jerked when she placed one of his twitching hands on her breast. What the hell was he waiting for?

She frowned at him and slapped away the hand she had positioned on her breast, then turned and sat in the corner again leaving Aka panting on the ground. He was still dazed by the experience and at this point cursing himself for passing up the opportunity. "I should have known you'd be too much a coward to take me. Now get away before I decide to retaliate."

She was still fully visible to him, but had returned to the same appearance she had appeared to be before casting the spell of beauty or whatever it was.

"It's not that, it's just." Aka started before being interrupted by her glare. There was no longer sadness in her stare, but pure unadulterated rage.

"I said go, loser. I'm not worth your time." She muttered, all the while staring at him. Aka sat up fully but didn't move past that. She narrowed her eyes and her appearance to him changed yet again, except this time in the opposite direction. Her face brought to mind images of decay, her fur unclean and disgusting though no physical changes had taken place. Her eyes might as well have been empty sockets filled with maggots. Aka cringed at the change her appearance had taken. It was the same face, the same body that moments earlier he'd lusted after more than anything but now he cringed with every second that passed as he gazed back at her. "Yeah, run away coward. If you're not going to sleep with me then just hate me already."

The fox's breathing became heavy again, but this time for a completely different reason than before. Why was he wasting his time here? The girl was obviously psycho. Even so he couldn't move an inch from where he was. He couldn't stop looking at her, wondering what had happened to the girl he'd seen walking into the student center. The images were exactly the same, so why did she look like this now?

"I'm not going to run away." He said before even knowing he'd opened his maw. The feline-like wolf before him shifted her weight, a movement that at the moment brought the same feeling as watching an oozing monster slink. Aka's stomach was giving him trouble, but as long as he'd started he might as well finish. He'd hate to completely offend such a sexy girl first day of school. "You are a mage blood, like me I think. I mean you no harm, I mean you no insult. I looked for you earlier because I'd seen you come to the center and thought you had a lovely body. I followed you because I didn't want to see a hot girl cry." He paused, looking at her black paws and turquoise anklets which might as well have been made of wormwood. "I didn't give into my desires for you because... because..." Once again he stopped. Why hadn't he? This time he was silent, rolling the question over and over in his mind.

The girl's frightening gaze lessened in intensity and slowly her appearance began to return to normal. Nothing had changed about her, yet everything was different. She'd gone from pretty to beautiful to horrifyingly ugly to pretty again without adjusting a hair. "You're different..." She said quietly even though there was no need. The other students had been completely oblivious of their presence the entire time despite all the commotion and yelling. "Tell me, strange mage blood fox, what is your name?"

His mind was still reeling from the experience; he wasn't sure whether it wanted him to try to get her to renew her earlier offer or whether it wanted him to reach out and hold her without even trying to cop a feel. It finally settled on just answering the question as lucid thinking set back into place. "My name is Aka. Who are you exactly? Your abilities are... intriguing."

Really though intriguing wasn't the right word. It was freaking hot! Not only could she could amplify her already hot appearance, but she could make herself and others practically unnoticeable. They had been about to start yiffing right in view of the entire freshman class and there wouldn't have been any repercussions doing such a stunt! Then again he wondered if she could also do that uglifying thing to others. He'd sure hate to be on her bad side if that were the case.

She examined him closely, subtly smirking in amusement as his gaze constantly shifted between her face, the crowd, and her chest. She touched the grey mask-like marking over her eyes for a second, as if remembering something, before responding. "I'm Najwa, and I better not catch you spreading around the fact that I'm a mage blood. How good do you think my tricks would work if everyone knew I had tricks at all?"

Aka nodded quickly, not wanting to invoke any wrath after his recent revelation.

"Good." She responded tersely before crawling over closer to Aka.

The playful smirk deepened as almost undetectably her breasts became much more noticeable. It was the same thing that had happened before except in the inverse. Every slight movement drew his attention like a juggling orange penguin critter in the class hallways would. It was as if the entire world were composed of nothing but those two veiled lumps of happiness.

"You still want to yiff me don't you?" she asked, staring with a teasing gaze at his twitching bulge.

The drawing of attention lessened and Aka found it much easier to actually look at her face again. He nodded eagerly with the thought of this power in addition to the others.

"Perhaps we can work out a deal then?" Najwa started off in an almost snakelike tone. "For the next week you're mine. That means keep your pants on around others and treat me special. If you do well I might grant you a few courtesies. If you keep it up to my satisfaction the entire week you may get lucky with me." She watched for a reaction, getting exactly what she was hoping for. Aka showed no protest, in fact he seemed rather intrigued by the idea. "Beyond that we'll just have to see. It's up to me to decide whether you'd be make boyfriend material."

The fox's eyes widened at the last words. Was she serious?! "It's a deal!" he responded enthusiastically, his tail wagging behind him.

Najwa stood up and motioned for Aka to do the same. A couple random students nearby lethargically turned their heads to look at the two but then just went back to their own business.

"Why don't you go introduce me to your friends?" Najwa asked; her smile not as sly as it had been a moment earlier but still holding a degree of playfulness.

Aka mirrored her smile and started walking toward the crowd. "I'd be happy to, Najwa. Looks like most of them are near the food."

The fox led the way with Najwa right beside. All the while he mused over the nights events. It seemed that college life would be more different and exciting than he'd ever thought before.
