Coren couldn't keep his jaw shut. This hansom wolf that walked into the room was the most beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes on. His fur was a light brown color and his hair was dark brown. His muzzle was covered in a cream colored fur that made a borderline that separated the two colors, which made him even more sexy. His bright green eyes glimmered in the light, giving him an appearance of confidence and pride. He wore a black sheeny leather jacket with a gray t-shirt underneath. His jeans were a light blue color, making his swaying tail stand out. Coren couldn't even think straight.

"Uh, um, h-hey..." Coren muttered weakly. He could feel his cheeks burn red, and he hoped that no one would notice him blush under his orange fur.

"Oh, a little shy are we?" Will chuckled. "It's okay, lots of people are awestruck by my appearance." Coren instantly lost interest right then there and went back to his annoyed glare. "Anyway, what's your name?"

"Coren Donatell." Coren growled.

"Well nice to meet you." Will smiled and held out a paw. Coren reluctantly took Will's paw and shook it. His face turned red at the touch of his paw and he felt flustered once again.

_'Auhg! God damn it, you don't like people! Get a hold of yourself!'_Coren quickly pulled his paw back and turned his back towards Will. "Nice to meet you too." He rushed to the seat next to Haley and sat down. He put a paw under his chin and sighed.

"Welp, that's that." Haley turned to Will with her usual perky smile. "Sorry if he seems rude, but he's not used to strangers." She gestured towards Coren.

"Yeah, don't worry, he'll warm up to ya." Floyd walked up beside Will and smacked hi on the back. "Wait 'till you hear all of the embarrassing stories I haave of him! This one time-"

"F-Floyd!" Coren shouted. Haley nearly fell out of her seat when Coren sprang out of his chair. His tail lashed from side to side with an angry and embarrassed look on his face.

"Sorry, Sorry!" Floyd raised his hands in defeat.

Will rolled his eyes with a wide grin on his face. "Geez, Floyd. Anyways, I hope we become great friends!" Will walked up to Coren and patted him on the shoulder.

He crossed the line.

"Hands off!" Coren quickly smacked Will's paws off of his shoulders and glared. "_No_one touches me, got it?" Coren then sighed and calmed himself down. " Now please keep your hands to yourself." Will was taken aback. A look of fear and guilt washed away the smile he had on his muzzle earlier.

"Coren!" Haley shouted. Coren turned away from Will and Haley and folded his arms with closed eyes. "You could have asked _nicely!_Jesus. I'm sorry Will. You okay?"

"Uh, y-yeah." Will shook his head and looked at Coren. "I'm sorry Coren, I should've known better." Coren opened his eyes and glanced at the apologetic wolf. He actually looked sorry and hurt. Coren felt his stomach churn as he looked at the hurt in Will's eyes.

"N-no, I'm s-sorry, Will. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that." Haley and Floyd turned their heads towards Coren in shock. Coren noticed the stares from the two and said "What? Never heard of an apology before?"

"Not from you!" Floyd said, surprised.

"Shut up, Floyd."

Will laughed along with Haley as the atmosphere changed to a lighter and happier one. "Well, It's okay, Coren." Will smiled as he turned to the orange cat. "My little Akita back in Kansas would bark almost as loud as you when I ever touched her, So I'm used to it." Coren broke into a smile and chuckled along with everyone else in the room.

"Will, would you care to join us in a round of SSBB?" Floyd invited as he plopped onto his bed.

"I'd love to. You got any Game cube controllers?" Will glanced around the room.

"Here." Floyd grabbed a controller off of his nightstand and tossed it over to Will. "Now, time to whup all your asses!"

"Not if I can help it!" Coren grinned.

"Uh-oh. Should I be worried?" Will turned to Haley with a teasing grin on his face.

Haley smirked and said "Not really. Floyd just out right sucks, and Coren's not that much of an opponent either."

"Hey!" Floyd and Coren protested in unison.

Will laughed at their reaction. He then quickly regained his composure and asked, "Shall we get started, then?"

"What the hell?" Coren and Floyd shouted in unison.

"HAH!" Will shouted as he smashed Ike off of the stage with Falco.

"Damn you... you're good." Coren turned to Will and glared. Haley sat back and grinned to herself. She was greatly entertained by the show that was being put on in front of her.

"I don't play this game often. I don't know how I beat you two." Will shrugged.

"Bullshit!" Floyd jumped up and pointed at Will with fury in his eyes. "You have _obviously_practiced this a lot! How in HELLS did you beat me?"

"I don't know, because you suck." Haley snorted.

"You shut up!" He quickly spun around to face Haley. " You were the first to go, so SHUSH!" Haley rolled her eyes and checked her watch.

"It's six. I need to head home." Haley stood up brushed off her skirt. "I'll see you guys at lunch tomorrow. Oh, wait, you have second or first lunch, Will?"

Will blinked several times before answering. "Um... what? I don't have the same lunch every day?"

"Dude, you ever heard of block schedule?" Coren turned to Will with a puzzled expression on his face.

"Um.. sort of. You have 4 different classes every day?"

"Right. But the school is so huge, not all of the students could fit into the cafeteria. That's why they decided to split the lunch times in half." Coren explained. "So, what's your seventh period?"

"Um... just a sec." Will pulled out a schedule from a pocket in his leather jacket and unfolded it. "Um... Mrs. Peterson for computer tech 2."

"Hey I have that class tomorrow!" Coren exclaimed. "She has second lunch, which means we go to lunch after that class. I have second lunch on both days."

"I have second lunch on both days, too." Haley commented.

"I have first lunch tomorrow." Floyd sighed. "What lunch did you have today?"

"Um... Is first lunch before third or seventh period?" Will asked. He turned to Coren for an answer.

"Yes. If you can find us, you can sit next to us!" Haley exclaimed. Will jumped at the sound of her voice. He was not expecting an answer from her. She then started walking out of the room as she said "I need to go now. See ya guys!"

"Bye." Coren, Will and Floyd waved at her as she left the room.

"I'm headed out too." Will stood up and stretched his arms and yawned. "You headed out too, Coren?"

"Well, um... I probably need to go see if Mom is home, so..."

"Great you can walk with me then!" Will pulled Coren out of his seat. Coren tripped and landed on Will's chest.

Coren felt Will's heart beat calmly and he felt the slow rise and fall of his chest with his breathing. Coren felt so comfortable in his embrace, and he didn't want to let go. He could feel the heat from his body transfer over to his head and he felt his tail sway back and forth.

"Uh... Coren, you all right?" Coren looked up and saw Will staring at him. He quickly realized what had happened and pushed back from Will. He could feel his face burn bright red as he shyly stepped another step back away from Will.

"Oh, u-um, y-yeah, I-I'm fine. S-sorry." Coren stammered as he stared at his hind paws. Floyd gave Coren a quizzical look, and then he suddenly smiled. Coren noticed and quickly shouted, "W-what?"

"Nnnnnoooooothiiiin!" Floyd teased. Coren quickly became more embarrassed.

"Come on, let's go." Coren turned and headed out the door. Will said goodbye and quickly followed after Coren.

"So, where ya from?" Coren was trying to keep a conversation going while walking home. He wasn't succeeding at the moment. They spent the first half of their walk home in silence, which Coren didn't mind, but he felt he was being rude and he had to at least keep some conversation going.

"Oh, I'm from Paola, Kansas. Best food EVEH!" Will chuckled. "It's kind of a small farming town, but It has and all you can eat Italian buffet that I loved to go to every once in a while." Will smiled at the happy memories. Coren's stomach growled right on cue once food was mentioned. Will heard and laughed. "You hungry dude?"

"Duh. I love pasta..." Coren drooled at the thought of lasagna and spaghetti. The tomato sauce, noodles, cheese... Coren shook his head and rid his thought fo food.

"Oh, hey, I have a question." Coren turned his head towards Will. He flicked his ears in anticipation and waited patiently. The duo turned around a corner and headed towards Coren's house on 810 west. Will turned and looked Coren in the eye's. "Are you a pure fur or have you been through the Change?"

Coren was taken aback. That was not the question he was expecting. "Um, no, I'm a pure bread fur. Are you?"

Will sighed and said "Nope, I'm not pure bred. I was a human before I was a wolf." Coren had heard of the Change before. It was a extremely dangerous surgery that changed the DNA of a human to the animal of their choice. A scientist that was obsessed with finding a way to change himself into a lynx. He created a serum and created the process. It was rumored that his son was the first fur, and then he had the procedure done on himself. Coren's Mom had gone through the Change, but Coren had been a Cat his whole life. Right now, furs were fighting for equal rights for humans since furs weren't treated well, especially when they first appeared. Will sighed and said "That's why I moved here to Tooele, Utah. Back at home, my Mother and I had saved up enough money for the surgery. She supported me in my choice to become this-" he gestured to all of himself, "-and helped me through everything. I then tried to go back to school the week after the surgery and..." a pained expression flashed across his face as he looked upon his memories.

"I, uh, um... wow. Sorry, dude. You don't have to tell me what happened." Coren smiled at Will. He was sure that he'd face the same hardships here in Utah as he did in Kansas if the human and pure bred students found out he had the surgery. "I won't tell anyone."

"Thanks dude. I appreciate it." Will smiled back. Coren then saw his house coming up the street.

"No problem. My house is here, so I'll see you tomorrow at school. See ya!" Coren waved a paw at Will before walking up the driveway.

"See you." Will waved back and walked onwards to his house. Coren was at the front door of his house when he suddenly stopped and realized something.

'He shared a secret with me already! Did I make a friend in a day?' Coren smiled as he opened the door to his house.
