Eurasia returns to his home to find out more about himself. The welcoming party is quite welcoming indeed

Welcome readers to a special series, collaborated by Caleb Magness, and myself. Eurasia and various minor characters is copyright to myself and Caleb.

"Mom said I was different. That difference was why I was not allowed out of the lab. Dad said I would understand someday, and that I would end up doing something great. I spend a lot of my time on the internet to learn what I cannot physically go out and examine or analyze in person. But that is not how you learn, as theory and mental training can only get you so far. Should I be happy that now I am given the chance to exit and leave behind the dark metal "prison" that was my room...only to go to a place that my parents spoke about?", thought a rather stressed male, sighing as he was unable to sleep throughout final few days of his trip. Though to him the trip felt rather short, it had taken a long 2 years to arrive at his destination.

His memories had been running in his mind, playing out the same conversations he had with his parents, "You'll find what you seek back "home"...Our job isn't done here. But...you're young. You need to experience the world like we have. Just not this one...they aren't ready for you yet.", said his mother, one who was worried over raising their child on a world where simply having a difference in skin color would erupt riots. But they believed that there was hope and did their work on improving their new home's society, while doing her best to give her child the best life possible. However her lover agreed that he would never be able to get any wisdom or knowledge hidden away from what life's greatest treasure could give him, the freedom and enjoyment of living.

"Don't worry son. Our differences make us the special things we are. Not sure what to say about your height..But you're a strong boy. Just like your old man.", added his father, putting a hand large enough to cover most of his son's head and rub it gently. He was less than half the size of his parents, which was a mystery to this day, but they loved him all the same. They were the only of their kind on this heavier, more backwards planet, staying only because these "intelligent creatures" were capable of learning from mistakes. Even if the learning took a considerable amount of time. A human in a gray colored uniform, having adorned with the symbol of earth on the chest walked into the room, checking on the passenger as he was supposed to.

"I see you're calmer than before Eurasia. We're almost arriving...My apologies if this trip is very taxing on you....", he spoke with a worried tone, being one of the crew, had made sure that their important passenger was as comfy as can be. It was a long trip, and a one way one for the crew considering how far out of the solar system they were going out, returning back was only an option if it was allowed by their destination, and if there was enough interest. The kind crew member got a nod and a light smile from the ship's passenger, slightly holding his arm as he wasn't sure if that was the truth.

Part of his job was making sure during the trip, to wake from stasis every few months to ensure they were on course, and everything was fine. However several times, this passenger was tossing and turning, something that isn't normal according to the crew handbook. It's understandable that leaving your home wasn't easy, being told that their passenger was a non-native to earth. The look of that blue skin with black markings was odd, but it wasn't bothersome in the least, and he treated him like any other person, "Understood. The ETA is 1 hour. If you require more refreshments, please do not hesitate to use the call button.", reminded the crew member, saluting him and walking back out. It was nice to have some human interaction that wasn't a Lab or a military leader, though he had too much on his mind to fully enjoy the sensation. Something caught his attention at the corner of his eye, now seeing the planet coming up in view through window, orbiting a yellow star similar to Sol back home.

It was rather green, looking lusher than Earth but a bit smaller. Not by much but compared to what he saw back home, and their relative distance, it was definitely a smaller planet, "Is that...sounds like it...mom mentioned compared to earth...Sector 1404 had so much more vegetation and lush forest. I can't even see a desert from here... The massive amount of..I think rainforest, is a huge reason there is no greenhouse effect.", he muttered to himself, not having seen a true forest outside of a picture in a book or a screen on a computer. The planet also seemed to have more landmasses than earth, but not by much, opening a book in front of him labeled "Basics of Sector 1404", to remind himself that compared to earth's 71%/29% water and to land ratio, Sector 1404 was 60%/40%.

The last hour flew by incredibly fast, looking at the entry into the atmosphere and finding it to be quite a sight to behold. The turbulence was minimal as the clouds flew past with such speed, seeing that they were landing in what seemed to be a large runway with an even larger building, "So this is...my home-planet...we're supposed to be landing at the Brazilian Headquarters. Apparently the only landing site on the whole planet.", thought Eurasia as he shuffled through the pamphlet containing the brief info on the planet. It had a few things he didn't know, but it was mostly superficial things, such as comparing the oxygen content to earths and such. The roar of the engines drowned out what silence he had to think, luckily not dealing with the massive shaking nor needing to strap in like the old ships needed.

Clouds flew past as he could see a vast view of trees, very tall trees that nearly were as high as the elevated airport their ship landed, going on a runway and coming to a stop a few minutes later. The cabin slowly adjusted to the pressure of the planet, taking a few minutes to do so before finally the landing procedures were finished. He was nervous, much more nervous now that they had arrived. His scales were shaking all over, taking a deep breath and hearing the cabin door open up, "We've arrived Mr. Eurasia. I hope the trip was satisfactory.", asked the captain, saluting their passenger as it was a great honor in undertaking this trip.

Eurasia nodded while grabbing a bag, having brought the minimal needed for this trip. The ship contained many, many, many things that were considered exotic to Sector 1404, from various foods and fruits, to local tech that would be used in learning about humans. As he was led by the crew, he could see that he was getting a few glances, being 6'4", and having a tail made him the only non-human passenger on the ship. He had gotten a fair amount of questions about it, but it was still a marvel to look at apparently. Right at the exit, the hatch opened slowly, rising outward and a rush of air entering the ship. The warmth of the air felt nice, and the scent of it was very clean. The higher oxygen content was as he expected, but the sensation in his lungs was hard to describe.

The crew led him down the stairs onto the runway, seeing the skid marks the plane caused upon landing. The captain gave another salute once they brought him to the appointed waiting spot, Eurasia looking all over and rather enjoying the tropical feeling he was getting, "Thank you for the trip...though..I read something about this being a one way deal. Are you all...really okay with just leaving your home planet like that?", he asked, the crew looking at each other, before the captain stepped forward after taking his cap off, "Honestly, that is the reason why we signed up for this. All of us wanted a new start, and we are aware that we probably won't ever go back to earth. I hear humans aren't...really high on the approval list here, but we can guess how that was for you back on our planet. We hope you find what you are looking for Mr. Eurasia.", spoke the captain, everyone chuckling and nodding as they were all in this together, and willingly.

It was admirable that they were willing to go such lengths, hoping that they would not have any regrets on leaving. Regrets were one thing he had on his mind, wondering if leaving his life, though as small as it seemed, behind along with his only family. His parents did mention that he himself had a long life ahead of him, saying that compared to humans, the amount of years he had left in his current age of 25 earth years would be nearly negligible, "Howdy. Yawl must be the blue scales himself. Yer dad was quite an achiever...though I expected ya to be bigger. Dragons are known for their size...oh ho ho ho.", spoke someone from behind Eurasia, turning around and seeing three people coming towards him. It was the first time he had seen non humans, feeling a slight blood rush and anxiousness glide over his scales. He was a known as a blue and black scaled dragon, with a neck about 7 inches long, something that was interesting on earth. The black suit with a white under shirt was the parting gift his father gave him, wanting his favorite and only son to look his best when arriving. The looks he got from his welcome party were similar to what the human scientists gave him back home, though they all had a more, welcoming demeanor along with their curious gaze.

The one leading the other two was a Banded Shadow Lugia male, having black stripes on his arms and wearing black fingerless gloves. His outfit was rather interesting, a beige military vest with breast pockets on each side, over a black shirt with matching beige cargo pants and dog tags worn around his neck. What made him different from a regular Lugia was a unique inward curve on the middle of his head, before having a regular curve that a regular one would have. That voice sounded quite deep and what he would compare to something out of an old western, the blue dragon waving at him and the other two behind him. To the left was beige colored creature with large forehead that seemed to be armor plated, a similar outfit to what the shark was using. Cargo pants and military vest seemed to be the standard uniform he thought, all of them having dog tags and a vest from the last person on the left who he hadn't gotten a proper look at, "Hey you finally made it. How's it feel to be back home where you belong?", asked the Long Tail Blotched Armolin, having remembered now what he was. Eurasia gave a smile and a nod, feeling more at ease since he was actually able to get a conversation with what is his own kind technically.

It was refreshing to see long tails like him, but the last person to the right was the one who stood out the most, having a short stubby tail. She was a red female with piercing yellow eyes, barely hidden by sunglasses that were hanging on her nose. Something about her was different, that long red hair, the way she looked at him made him shiver somewhat as if she had a an aura of mystery around her. She was the only one not wearing a vest, but she still had a black t-shirt with dog-tags resting against her cleavage, the three finally arriving in front of their new arrival, "It feels...I don't know what to feel yet. You must be....Vincent...Caleb..And Buffy? Mom and dad described you in the book he told me to bring.", he asked as he pointed to the Banded Shadow Lugia, then the Blotched Armolin who gave a thumbs up, and finally the Red Banded Tortle known as Buffy, who gave a light nod to confirm. Despite being a decently tall male on earth at 6'4", the welcoming party had to be a bit over 7 feet, not used to being towered over aside from his parents.

"Right on pardner. Vincent Vagia on duty. I reckon you'll like it here Eurasia....Hey Buffy, be a good lass and greet the greenhorn.", suggested Vincent with a smile. Eurasia gave a wave to her after setting his bag down, trying to give a good smile as to not make himself seem too odd. She tilted her head a bit to as if inspecting the dragon, before giving a light smile of her own back, "...Eurasia...Velcome...", spoke Buffy in a soft tone as she put her hands on her hips, a bit surprised herself to see that he was this size without a medallion. As odd as this was, this was a good thing to the scientists on their planet, having one of their kind actually born and raised on earth, which would yield valuable data. That strong accent she had cut through him like a knife, almost like she came from Transylvania in the movies he's seen. He felt himself getting an odd sensation in his stomach for a moment before swallowing hard, "T-thank you."

The response was enough to get Caleb to chuckle going over to give his fellow friend a pat on the shoulder, "Hey hey, no need to be nervous. You're with us now. Let's get you set up and show you around as I know there's quite a bit you want to experience first-hand. I'll tell you now though, don't rely what you learned on earth. Things here can get quite radical.", explained Caleb as he grabbed his bags, feeling them to be a bit heavier than expected. There was a lot to look into, not having all the information since his parents went to earth with little on them. He was eager to know the history of their planet, and the natural phenomenon that would occur on the planet. With his bags in tow, Eurasia started to take his first steps on Sector 1404, entering the Airport past two automatic sliding windowed doors.

It seemed like one of the airports back home, thinking that it was inspired by how humans built it but with a much higher ceiling. The floor was cold, though not uncomfortable for him as they went into a rather wide hallway with TV screens showing off ads about Earth Customs and such. Many were regarding what could be sent to earth and what would be arriving, as well as an important treat humans with the same respect you do with your fellow kind message from Vincent Vagia. Progress can only continue smoothly through cooperation and trust, having seen a lot in his time and knowing quite a bit of both of their planets. Eurasia was taking the time to really let things sink in, feeling a bit light in his steps, as if he had lost some weight.

"Well I trust yawl are settling in just right. First--Hmmph?", spoke Vincent, trying to get the ball rolling before getting a message sent to his communicator. He pulled it out from his left breast pocket and saw that there was more work to be done, shaking his head with a sigh, "Well now, that's a dog gone shame. There's a heap of trouble at the med wing. Caleb, Buffy, be a pair of dears and get our friend penciled in.", requested the head honcho himself, Caleb giving a nod while saluting and Buffy nodding as well with a bit less enthusiasm, though will do things to the best of her ability. He bid his farewell and sprinted off, leaving the dragon in the care of his two best subordinates.

Caleb wondered what went wrong that he wasn't told, but not worrying about it since he wanted to get his comrade squared away, "Must be bad to call the big guy. Well we need to get you over the customs. It's past the food court and lounge area.", he explained, the trio walking over until entering a large lobby like area. For the first time he saw not humans, but other creatures lounging about. There were quite a few different types, from more fuzzy and hairy to other scalies. What made him turn his head was seeing more of his kind, though being a bit shorter than his father. That didn't matter much since they were about over 11 feet, making him remember that he is a short dragon, and will always be one.

There was a fountain in the center, with lots of tables and food stands for everyone to try the local cuisine. Those leaving and entering were able to get food from every part of the planet, with the amount of variety shown. The food smelled delicious, and made his stomach want to try some. Caleb glanced back seeing the dragon sniff the air, considering showing him to where his native homelands number 1 dish would be served. Before he could ask to see if Eurasia was curious, Caleb bumped into the legs of a tall pair of blue striped dragons who walked over, curious to who the oddly dressed little hatching looking dragon with two of the more well-known workers of the Brazilian Headquarters, "Why are ye pinky sized Ca-reb. Didn't think ya be needing yer medallion for babysitting a wee toddler.", asked the male of the pair with a strong Irish accent, petting Eurasia who seemed a bit confused though shaking his head and stepping back.

It seemed that overalls was a popular choice of fashion, seeing she had on a lovely pink dress that sparkled in the light. She found Eurasia to be a cute little boy, before Celeb set the bags down and raised a hand, "Hey hey, he's not a toddler Liam. He's our arrival from earth. You know, Jocko's kid?", explained Caleb with a bit of an annoyed expression on his face, Buffy remaining quiet and folding her arms together. Eurasia rubbed his snout and looked up at the couple, seeing him quake in his overalls and realize who he was in the presence with. His size was far cry from the intimidating height of one of the most world renown on their kind had, almost forgetting that he left with his lover at the time to learn more about the universe.

"W-what? This little thing? You're pulling my scales. Jocko himself was a tall intimidating dragon, being a bit over double the height of what this little guy is--oh wait. He was born on that planet...earth right?", asked Liam, Caleb giving a nod, and Eurasia as well. That would explain a bit, as earth was quite a different planet from theirs, "Well yea. He went to earth to learn about it. Rubi was probably pregnant before they left...ask Eurasia.", he replied, looking over to Eurasia and everyone else wondering what his story was. He thought about how to explain it as simple as possible, not really feeling too comfy now with so much emphasis on him and his family heritage.

"J--I mean Dad said I was born on earth...though I don't know the circumstances around my birth. Though for now, I'm not at liberty to reveal what is in the report.", explained Eurasia while rubbing his left arm, not wanting to say too much considering all of the information from earth was supposed to be given to Vincent. He would need to remember next time to give him what was in the briefcase Caleb was carrying. Liam was still divided on if this little dragon was the real deal, though the way he spoke, with those big words, shows that he was educated and such., "Errm...right-o then. If yer really Jocko's kid, stop by. The village misses his inventions. Would be mighty fine if yer were to drop in and give the family a holler."

His father mentioned something visiting his home town and meeting the family, giving a nod to Liam in which he then let them be, feeling like a complete idiot but glad to know that their fellow dragon had not forgotten about them. It was sudden and a shock to hear that Jocko and Rubi left suddenly, though they were always curious about the world beyond their home. Caleb put a hand on Eurasia's shoulder to bring him back to Sector 1404, then grabbing his things, "Don't knock out on me yet. We still have things to do. Buffy needs to get you checked in. And I know a few places to get some grub too!", reminded Caleb with a happy go lucky tone in his voice. Buffy adjusted her black tinted glasses and led the way this time, heading over to customs.

They were greeted by a kind Giraffe looking security guard, "Oy, this little bundle of scales is the new arrival? Was hoping the J-man himself would be here....do you have your papers?", he asked with a great amount of curiosity on the dragon. Eurasia took the suitcase from Caleb and opened it, grabbing a small folder and handing to Caleb, who in turn handed it over to the guard, "This is him alright Joise. Eurasia's back home and here to learn what he's missed out on!", exclaimed the Armolin, with a big smile. The giraffe looked over and double checked the papers, "Hmm...Yes this is Jocko's signature, and a copy of your birth certificate. You were born...25 years ago? In the month of November. Buffy, Caleb take him to the nurse's office for a blood sample---wait, Caleb, where's Vincent? Wasn't he with you?"

Caleb quickly nodded and grabbed the papers needed to complete the first half of immigration, "OH yea, he was called for some situation...not sure what it was but it was pretty major. Don't worry, we'll keep him safe.", he said with confidence, getting a nod from Joise and giving them access to the immigration scanning that Eurasia would need to be given. Although he was disinfected prior to arriving, his blood would need to be checked and cataloged, as well as a few other important things to ensure that he was counted as a new citizen. It was a good thing that he was not too worried over needles, though it was a bit embarrassing that the Brachiosaurus nurses were forced to use child size needles for his smaller than normal adult size.

As they took his blood, Eurasia wondered about the many things in store for him, needing to confirm with Caleb and maybe Buffy if she felt like talking what he was told by his father. After about 20 minutes of blood checking and more paperwork, he was finally discharged, and given a clean bill of health. Though the detailed information on his blood would not be complete for a few days, the preliminary analysis showed that he had no foreign bacteria in him either. The last thing he needed to do was to introduce something possibly deadly to a different planet, so every sort of medical exam "Man Eura, you're pretty heavy. I never would've figured you're over 670 Kilos....good thing everything here is made to support our weight. You probably couldn't go much anywhere back on earth with its...heavier gravity and such.", commented Caleb once everything had been finished, the blue dragon feeling embarrassed over the examination. It seemed his scales were much denser than expected for a dragon of his size, though they got the job done no problem.

The problem was that he was not used to be naked in anyone's presence, except a few, very important moments where he needed to be completely naked to have his body examined for scientific purposes. It was also true that it was more than simply his looks that prevented him, as his weight would be an issue. His parents were more than double his own weight, and that needed the top of the line flooring and housing for them. The feelings of such a thing for science was bittersweet for Eurasia, just wanting to forget about getting a needle put into him, "I...I rather...not think about that. What now?", he asked Caleb who was leading the way. It was amusing to have seen the quiet dragon get nervous, though there was still a lot to do and daylight was burning fast.

"Ah right! Though they said your blood was a bit odd, so we'll to wait a few days to get the full results. Now let's get some eats! Vincent won't be back for a while longer so we really have to wait anyway.", replied Caleb with a chuckle, the blue dragon still embarrassed he had to take his shirt off to get a proper weight and X-ray. Buffy cleared her throat hearing that her very eager co-worker was offering to treat their special guest to a meal, "...Rice and black pepper beef?...", she suggested in that soft sensual voice, getting a great idea from his more silent co-worker. What better way to introduce a guest back home than with some delicious food, cooked by the finest chefs around. Vincent spared no expense at enforcing the fact that a welcome with a full stomach is the best type of welcome. Quickly Caleb grabbed Eura and tugged him at full speed to his favorite spot to eat when out on the field.

Buffy casually followed the two males, chuckling to herself at Caleb's excitement to where she'd see him when doing her rounds. It was no secret to anyone that Sri Thai was well known for its sweet and delicious flavors, sea food and excellent overall Thai cuisine, and that a certain Armolin spent his lunch and dinners daily eating their food. With their doors wide open, the two rushed in to the dimly lit restaurant. Inside from the airport's dull silvery floors and walls was a more relaxing scene. The walls were a dark orange in a room made for those the size of Eurasia's parents. Though it seemed that there was another room at the far end for human sized guests. The head chef was a Dumeril Monitor lizard by the name of Aroy Mok, with coffee colored scales and claws that could make a meal single handedly. His red chef's outfit complimented his red slitted eyes, greeting his most valued and favorite customer, "Oh Mr. Magness! You're early for your Lunch. And you brought...a guest? Must be business if you're that size.", he spoke with a bit of curiosity, not expecting a blue dragon, nor having seen this little feller before.

It seemed that something was off about what he said, giving a wave at the 12 foot lizard looming over him. His size was starting to make him question about a few things, though his stomach growling caught everyone's attention, to his dismay, "Aack..Uh...Hiya...I'm Eurasia..Sorry...", he apologized while blushing, not eating much before arriving. Caleb cracked up from the well timed stomach growl, giving the dragon a firm pat on the back, "Ha-ha! Don't worry dude. That's why we're here.", he laughed, finding it hilarious, before turning to look up at his favorite food creator, "Yea, this is Jocko's kid. The one you were talking about the other day. Mind getting me the usual, but for three people instead of two? Buffy should be arriving shortly."

"Oh of course Caleb. Large Bowl of White Rice, Black Peppered Beef and Steam Bean Curd, made in the style we do best!", shouted Aroi with conviction, ready to make yet another masterpiece. Caleb felt like drooling already, leading the dragon to a table of 3, in which Buffy soon arrived at her own leisurely pace, taking a seat and completing the trio. The food was being cooked to perfection as they waited, being told about how delicious things were and plans on where they were going first. 30 minutes flew by fast as Eurasia spoke a bit of his father and what he was researching, only the stuff that could be told, not the sensitive stuff, more so in a general vague sense, "....-10 hours a day learning everything he knew. Though he purposely left out things about his home planet...talking about "It's not a place you can justify with any words. You need to experience it", or something to that effect."

Caleb understood better why Eurasia seemed to be rather soft spoken after learning about the intense schooling he went through. It was also nice to hear that the dragon was a fan of the water and swimming, though unable to swim properly himself, relaxing in moving water felt rather nice, "Man that's rough...though if you're ever feeling burnt out. I know a good creek not far from here to relax. Just sit yourself in between some rocks and just let the water cascade over your body. Oooh, yeeaaahhh~..Though if you want to stretch your arms and legs, it leads to a nice lake. Buffy goes there to lounge and swim when she's unable to head to the ocean.", told Caleb of the fun things to do when they are free. It did sound fun and Buffy herself was quite a swimmer, which Eurasia will learn soon enough.

All that talking made the wait feel like nothing as Aroi and his chefs in training brought out the food in multiple bowls, the table being set with fine white china, forks, knifes, napkins, along with the delicious Thai cuisine, in a matter of 10 seconds. Their speed was impressive, as much as the food they were about to dig into to, which was enough to leave Eurasia's jaw slightly open. The scent of meat, and bean curd was intoxicating, the fresh meal right in front of them was ready to be dug in, "Well...lets dig in!", yelled Caleb, the blue dragon following his example. The beef was soaked in delicious oil and mixed with chopped onions and green pepper, the smell alone making Eurasia grab it first onto his plate. The white rice was in a massive orange bowl, more than enough for all of them alongside a smaller bowl containing bean curd in chopped garlic, chives and doused in soy sauce. Delicious food, good friends, Eurasia had finally felt some comfort in the worry he had before arriving.

Buffy waited her turn as to not get anything on her outfit, only taking a modest amount of rice and peppered beef and chewing in a refined manner compared to her company. Though she had gotten used to Caleb's playfulness and energetic nature, and it seemed that Eurasia was a good sort of dragon. The flavors in his mouth were nothing he could describe, having gotten use to bland processed food at home with little variety, the beef was seasoned so well that he felt like sobbing in joy. It was good to see the good taste this dragon had, the two eating and eating until their stomachs nearly exploded. There was little food left by the time they finished, the dragon and Armolin relaxing with their full tummies and almost forgetting there was more work to be done.

It was a perfect moment before Caleb nearly fell out of his chair feeling the phone in his front vest pocket shake. That was a cruel but good reminder that he was still technically on duty, "Ack!...okay...oh its Vincent.", he remarked, standing up and answering it. The smart phone he had was an interesting one, flat screen but no buttons, holding it close to his ear hole and seeing what the big boss wanted, "Yea?.....What?!...Wow, that's pathetic.....Okay we'll be there immediately. Eurasia's medical came out green with one small mark that will be investigated in the coming days....Roger that.", spoke Caleb with a more serious tone in his voice, ending the call and grabbing Eurasia's suitcase. Whatever it was, it sounded important, important enough for Caleb to not take any food to go. Buffy held on to a napkin to ensure her fingers and mouth was clean, having a fair idea what had happened. With that, the trio headed out to the emergency wing on the far side of the airport, to meet back up with Vincent and see what the problem was.
