#2 of Kaiju

Well, on May 20th (the day after my birthday), I went to watch the new Godzilla film. Needless to say, I loved every second of it. It's not what I thought it would be, but I loved it regardless. A pleasant surprise. Being a fan of Godzilla and similar things ever since I was a little kid, I was hit with a surge of creativity after watching the film, and so I created my baby here.

I plan to have a story up for her, but it may be an adult story with mature themes and imagery. I may also make a G rated version of the same story, seeing as most of the adult stuff I've planned can easily be uploaded separate. I don't know.

Kamoya, the irradiated Sea Turtle. She's around 75 meters tall (around 246 feet), and weighs about 15,000 tons. She's one big girl. Her powers include extreme durability, fire breath, and more.

If you'd like to see a better picture of her, here is a link: https://www.sofurry.com/view/724537

Basic Information

Name: Kamoya

Nicknames: Mothera, the Mother Kaiju

Species: Irradiated Olive Ridley Sea Turtle

Height: ~75 meters / ~246 feet

Length: ~80 meters / ~262 feet

Weight: ~15,000 tons

Appearance: Despite being a Sea Turtle, Kamoya is a bipedal reptile with powerful hind legs. Her arms end in flippers with two long claws, while her legs end in large, three toed feet with a vestigial fourth toe raised off the ground. Both her shins and shoulders are covered in thick, spike-like scales, as well as the top and back of her head. Her breasts and belly are covered in a segmented shell, with her belly being able to freely expand and move due to the segmented armor. Her back, much like her front, is covered in a turtle-like shell. She possesses a turtle-like beak, but she also has molars within her mouth. Unlike a sea turtle, Kamoya also possesses a long, paddle-like tail, which she uses to aid her swimming as well as a weapon.

Detailed Information

Name Origin: Kamoya is derived from the Japanese words "kame," meaning turtle, and "oya," meaning parent.

Feeding Habits: Kamoya is an omnivore, feeding on various marine life as well as vegetation. She thoroughly enjoys jellyfish, sharks, and trees. Kamoya also feeds on and enjoys radiation and metal when possible. Due to her furnace-like belly, she can really feed on most anything.

Behavior: Unlike many Kaiju, Kamoya is quite docile and even tempered. She prefers resting on her beach over destroying civilized areas. She has been known to visit island settlements, but only when feeling in the mood will she destroy anything. Kamoya prefers to be a mother first and a monster later, tending to her young as well as any other friends she has made. Due to her even temperament, she will usually only become enraged if her young are in harm's way.

Allies: Her children, Anguirus

Enemies: None

Relationships:

  • Kame

    • Daughter
    • She looks like Kamoya except with pinkish skin. She is a medium height and chubby, just like her mother.
    • Fills the role of the middle sibling and usually follows around Umi. Is kind and naïve.
  • Umi

    • Daughter
    • She looks like Kamoya except blue. She is the tallest of Kamoya's children and not quite as chubby as her mother.
    • Fills the role of the older sibling. Is a leader type and likes to think she's right all the time.
  • Game

    • Son
    • He looks like Kamoya but with brown skin. He is short and thin and has more traditional hands instead of flippers.
    • Fills the role of the younger sibling. Likes to destroy things and annoy others. Feels embarrassed when around other Kaiju with his mother.
  • Anguirus

    • Friend
  • He met Kamoya while taking a walk on Monster Island. At first he was unsure of her, but they soon became friends.

Abilities:

  • Durability

    • Kamoya has a thick hide, spike armor on her shoulders and shins, and a tough shell over her back, breasts, and belly.
    • Her body has been known to take bullets, missiles, and fire without much damage.
  • Strength

    • Kamoya is powerful and built for combat. She could lift another kaiju with ease if not for the fact she lacks hands.
  • High Healing Factor

    • Kamoya can heal fairly quickly from various kinds of injuries.
  • Furnace Belly

    • Kamoya's belly acts as a living furnace, melting down whatever she ingests with great levels of heat. Due to this, she is able to swallow small enemies and destroy them quickly, she is able to digest most materials without ill effect, and when in need of some defense, she can vomit the molten contents of her stomach.
  • Fire Breath

    • Due to a furnace-like belly, she can exhale flames.
  • Claws

    • Her claws are mostly used for digging, so they are blunt, but that does not stop them from being a useful weapon in a battle.
  • Slapping arms/tail

    • Due to her arms and tail being large paddles, she can easily use them as a weapon to slap her enemies. What damage this does though is probably only enough to make an enemy mad.
  • Gills

    • Due to the gills on her neck, she can breathe both on land and under the ocean.
  • Asexuality

    • Due to this feature, she can lay fertilized eggs without the need of a male mate. However, she is still able to reproduce sexually, as well as lay unfertilized eggs (which she does once a month).
    • She can lay anywhere from one to five eggs at a time.

Weaknesses:

  • Freezing Temperatures

    • Despite her furnace-like belly, Kamoya is not resistant to extreme cold. The moment her body begins to cool, so do the contents in her belly. It is as of yet unclear why her belly stops acting like a furnace in extreme cold.
  • Her Children

    • To her, Kamoya's children are more valuable than her own life. One need only abuse this trait to effectively control or defeat Kamoya.
  • Slow Land Speed

    • Due to her immense size and weight, Kamoya is notoriously slow on land, much like a real turtle. However, she is a rather quick swimmer.

Origins: Irradiated some time during the 1940's, Kamoya is a direct result of man's reckless nature. Seeking a safe place to nest, she came across Monster Island. Full of similar creatures, she felt strangely at home, but chose a secluded section of the island just to be safe. Much of her history is unknown.
