I have a true tale to tell you, about my Family history We had some Diary pages from this young girl My Great Great Great Great Great Great Gandfather knew. It will be one howling night!

The Moon over Fairfield Connecticut

The story I'm about to tell you is completely true, It takes place back in the late 1700's in a small town known as Fairfield Connecticut. Now before I start I know what you're thinking. Pf-ft the 1700's even if this story were true there is no way that it's around today so what's there to fear? Well kiddies you'd be wrong. Yes the original werewolf is dead, but those whose lives he failed to claim or let go. They are still around, to this day. Now after leaving that thought in your head slain allow us to continue to our story, our story starts out with a young woman's diary in which has some of our proof this story is real.

May 21st 1798

Dear Diary tis' I again I have met this most wonderful man today at the market he ain't no two faced white trash nigger lover either. He's a genuine gentleman. It had been raining, he pulled his carriage over grabbed my groceries putting them in the back of his buggy then helped me in! Such a dream it was to be helped like that in such a way; I felt like I was swept off my feet by such an Irish Joy! I could tell he was Irish by the way he talked the same way my father had talked. I longed for such a voice after Papaw passed. Oh, I can't wait to see him again!

"After this a few pages were ripped out. For what reason is unknown."

May 30th 1798

Dear Diary as always yours truly I saw that wonderful man again! Three days in a row today he approached me, with a smile, such pearly white teeth very large, but they looked rather sharp, or at least his fangs did, quite a way to describe them, they are almost like a dogs largest teeth in the front what ever that's called, but any who he wrapped one arm around me and walked with me down the park. So romantic indeed! I couldn't help, but feel overwhelmed that such a handsome Irish man had seemed to be attracted to me! He walked with me down a flower garden sided path into the forest. Oddly though when I brought up watching the stars with him he declined...probably some early sleeper, any who! It's a full night out tonight! So beautiful. I wish it would be like this every night! It just reminds me of him! Oh, dear me! I long for him once more!

"After this a large chunk of the diary is scribbled on ripped and water damaged so we can't read though a small diary still some valued information lost. Unfortunately this next page is the last in which we can salvage."

July 1st 1798

Dear Diary I can't believe in what had just happened! He agreed to set out tonight and watch the full moon with me! I was so happy when he first accepted, but that soon all changed. He took me down to the forest where he had brought me on our first walk together he kept walking deeper into the woods I had to admit I was horrified not aware of what lurked in the dark. Little had I known what I should have feared was...unheard of. He brought us to a clearing while the moon started to rise, but oddly enough as it had started to rise the higher it got the worse this stench got, the smell of a wet dog...It had kept growing and growing I looked up at him and he stared at the moon as if no one else was there except myself! The smell kept increasing so I kissed him on the cheek; I must have been blushing so hard! I remembered the path in which he took us and I left him to look at the moon, not as soon as I had gotten on the path though I heard a large howl from the direction of the clearing. Scared I started to run. The path was long about a mile to go before I would arrive back into town! After the first quarter of it I didn't hear another howl so I figured it was gone just some pesky wolf or something. I had hoped he was alright though. After getting a little further up the path. I had a horrid feeling someone was watching me. It was that feeling I'd get when some white trash would be staring at me as if I had been doing something wrong like they had the place to do such a thing I was the one they should look up to not look down upon. Damn white trash! Never the less this feeling I couldn't shake! I walked up the path picking up my pace a little bit wondering if I was just paranoid not having John with me. I wish that it was all just paranoia not even as soon as I picked up my pace I started smelling wet dog again. I started to walk even faster, but the smell had never left the area. Matter of fact it kept getting stronger! After about the half way point where the flowers were at I heard a stick snap behind me. I quickly turned around and yelled "who's there!" but I got no such response. So I called out thinking it had been John just playing with me. "John I know it's you please stop I'm scared!" in the midst of this all I had completely forgotten about the wet dog smell. After a while of no reply I relaxed coming to reason. It was probably just some rabbit; How wrong I was. I turned around closing my eyes with a sigh of relief when it hit me like a wall; the smell of wet dog was so strong I nearly puked. It wasn't like a normal wet dog smell It was like hundreds of wet dogs in a small room it was so strong! I opened my eyes and screamed there it was a large Wolf like creature the size of a bear standing in front of me on it's hind legs it had long black claws blood red eyes long pearly white teeth I had screamed so loud I must have startled the beast cause it reached out and grabbed me covering my mouth so I couldn't scream it pressed me up against a tree and ripped the ruffles of my dress right off with it's other hand I tried to scream but I couldn't This beat was toying with me! I bit it's hand, it howled in pain clawed my chest and threw me up the path. I wasted no time, I ran up the path getting to the town as quick as I could the beast had followed me but only for a short while one we came up closer to the town he stopped his pursuit. I can't believe I got away. I hope John is alright...

"That's where it ends her diary. If not for the cover of the diary we wouldn't know the ladies name Mary Seamus. My grandfather had told me a story passed down to him by his grandfather passed down to him by his great grandfather handed down to him by his father. So of course during this time the story may have gotten a little messed up, but never the less here is the story."

"From my great great great great great great grandfather John O'Hara point of view"

It was a quite night nothing out of the usual really going on when I saw a young woman running out of the forest from the flower path that I tended to once a week. Her dress had been ripped and she had a long claw mark across her chest stunned I tried to stop her, but she just yelled It's in the forest for the love of god kill it! And she continued to run away. Astonished by what she had just yelled in a haze. Most would have thought she was crazy; but her dress was after all torn and her cleavage was cut up rather badly I figured something in there was worth checking out. I grabbed my gun and told a few of the townsmen what I had witnessed and they figured we better check out the forest before someone else gets hurt. So we grabbed our guns and knives expecting to kill some wolf or bear or any animal of that sort. After walking down the path for a good while we decided to spread out, there had been nine of us so we decided we'd go into 4 groups of 2 and 1 group of one to cover more ground I was in a group by myself. Why I agreed to be the single man out I don't know probably cause I had the best aim out of all of them. We all took off in a separate direction the 4 groups each went one direction into the forest, as I stayed on the path perhaps some sense of security since I was to be on my own. I continued down the path figuring I wouldn't find anything with my luck. Which don't get me wrong I wasn't complaining but I wouldn't get the glory of killing the animal that hurt the girl. As I continued up the path I heard gun shots well behind me. I pulled out my pocket watch to see the time. We had only been separate for about fifteen minutes and we all agreed to meet back in an hour at the edge of where the flower beds were. Agreeing to this I kept walking, but no sooner did I put my watch away did more gun shots fire except this time from the other side of the path. Knowing no animal could move that fast I figured one group must have gotten scared if not both, and continued on my walk. After about another fifteen minutes half way done with this whole exploration I had heard more gun shots a total of 8 one from each gun. Laughing to my self I thought "Either some of those fools got him, or they were shaking in their boots to much to hold a gun. Realizing it had taken me thirty minutes just to go this way I turned around heading back. After about ten minutes though I had started smelling wet dog. Knowing what this meant an animal was close I readied my gun and proceeded with caution I proceeded up the path only smelling wet dog more and more as I got closer to the flower beds where we were to meet I started to relax some knowing I'd be seeing my friends soon enough, but once I had gotten the flower beds in my sight I saw something. It was to dark to really tell what it was but it was a large black thing I readied my gun hearing it eating something the sound of bone crunching and flesh being ripped from a bone was all I could hear. I took aim, but as soon as I did the what I can only describe as a beast turned around staring at me its muzzle had been covered in blood I looked slightly beyond it seeing a mutilated human shape then I dropped my gun. What I saw next will haunt me to my grave. A gold tooth replacing the mutilated humans top row of teeth. Only one man around here could afford that, it was James Smith! I dropped to my knees softly saying "No, not James, No." I felt my tears drip down my face the beast in front of me got up and started walking in my direction. I was to scared to move at this point. What I was staring at was what I could only describe as death its self. It was a large wolf walking on it's hind legs its muzzle covered in a coating of James's blood it had claws that looked like small daggers also covered in his blood it's teeth were coated more of a yellow-orange color clearly from it's saliva wiping off a lot of the blood the beast picked me up by my hair, and I swore it smiled. It's eyes were pure red t-those eyes those damn eyes will haunt me to this day they looked up past me, and looked up at the moon, and he howled; He howled so loud I thought my ears were going to pop! I thought I was going to die like the rest of my friends that day. The beast threw me up the path then charged at me. I didn't run. I laid there still immobilized by fear. The creature grabbed my leg pulled me up to him, and bit me. He bit me so hard right on my shoulder I yelled in pain quickly regaining all my ability to move I pulled out my knife from my pocket and stabbed the beast right in the stomach and pulled upwards trying to gut it, but it was to quick it threw me away and pulled out the knife throwing it to the ground he howled in pain then snarled. Blood was gushing out of the wound as well from his mouth I had injured it dearly. Scrambling to James's corpse the beast charged at me I pulled out my diseased friends silver pocket knife quickly pulling out the blade I kicked the beast as hard as I could right for his leg the sound of bone crunching as you watched it pop out the back of its own leg made me want to vomit. The beast howled in pain spreading it's arms. I have to admit now I was impressed it's balls were larger then even my foot. There was no that wasn't going to hurt. I quickly lunged at the beast stabbing it right at the base of his stomach just above it's groin, and pulled up as hard as I could. Right as I did the beast lunged it's head at me but stopped it's jaws just around my neck. It then fell to it's side. I quickly ran to the village to alert everyone of what just happened. The next morning a group of the townsfolk all set out. Looking for the corpses of my friends. Finding James next to the flower bed now stained in his blood, but what had caught my attention was the...beast. It was no longer a beast at all but it was John! This rich folk from out of town He has been stabbed just above his groin area and what ever stabbed him had been dragged to his chest. Just like I had done to the beast. It took me around a month to discover what he really was. I had decided to go for a walk on the path to visit where we had found my friends bodies the last full moon. I looked up at the moon, but that was all I could remember of the night I woke up naked in the middle of the forest with a few dead rabbits around myself. This went on and off for a few months till I realized what I'd become, and what all my children would become. Lovely moon isn't it?

So that's the story passed down from my Great great great great great great grandfather. A lovely night isn't it? I think I'll go for a walk. The moon is full after all
