The Garden

I got up one Sunday morning much earlier then usual I got out of bed sluggishly did my morning routine, eat breakfast, brush my teeth then shower. I got dressed in basketball shorts which were a light sky blue, a white cut off, and I put up my long black hair in my ponytail; y daily routine everyday. I decided since i was up so earlier i would go into the garden. I walked outside where I saw my mother standing in the middle of the garden still in her night gowned, I approached her, and asked what she was doing, but she just stared at the ground. I softly touched her shoulder

"Mother, What are you doing?"

She jumped for a moment then looked at me and for a minute it didn't seem like she new who i was then she blinked a few times and stared at me and said in a shaky exhausted tone

"there was a man in the garden, I came out here to see if he was okay a-and.."

And what mom?" I asked wondering what she was thinking she just started staring at the ground, I put my hand on her shoulder and softly shook her and she started to scream;

"Mom! calm down!"

Her screaming didn't stop however she started screaming louder and louder until the neighbors had called the cops, I heard sirens and i let out a long sigh and left the garden walking to the front; Letting my mom scream; She had a long history with these "episodes" where she would loose her shit if she didn't take a medication that kept her calm, some disorder i kept forgetting the name too but it led to her basically leaving our world and then suffering in another. I heard the cops pounding loudly on the door and i quickly rushed to answer it.

The cops barged in annoyed; this wasn't the first time after all as i said; a long history

"she's in the garden" i stated as they walked through our kitchen to the back door walking into the garden. as soon as they had opened the door though; the screams stopped

the officers both walked to the garden and then I heard them Yell I rushed to the back yard and saw them standing where my mom once was staring at the ground. as if they were in the same trance she was.

I quickly rushed to there side,

where did she go?" This was something knew she had never moved from her spot in an episode and this it seemed as if she disappeared. I grabbed the officer on the shoulder and shook him; He looked at me and did the exact same thing my own mother had done blinked a few times as if he didn't know who i was and then recognize me; T-the ground i-it sucked her up...." the officers voice was shaky and he was trembling. I watched him drop to his knees and start to dig; as if he was trying to find something. he rushed throwing the dirt to his side I couldn't comprehend what he had said; The ground sucked her up? I let out a long sigh and grabbed the other officer who started to run from the garden I quickly followed him asking what the hell happened but i couldn't get him to come to reason He started shaking and then he grabbed his hand gun running into the house Stunned i ran inside but as i got to the door i heard a scream from the officer still in the garden I quickly ran back to him but...no one was there...I looked around the hole he was even digging was...filled...In a panic i ran for the house where as i had just gotten to my door step BOOM. A shot was fired from inside the house I ran in; "what the hell is goi-..." I stared in the kitchen by the stove. Where the other officer was sitting on the ground the stove and walls painted in his blood with some brains he was missing most of his head I screamed at the top of my lungs. Hearing more sirens coming. i fell to my knees tears running down my face. I hadn't the slightest clue what was happening around me....it was then...when i saw it

in a reflection on the vase standing in the door way...I quickly turned around seeing my mother....She was covered in dirt...with some red liquid dripping from her mouth. it looked like blood but it couldn't;t be why would she be bleeding?! I quickly rushed to her side when she threw me. she was a frail woman who was a nervous wreck due to her episodes but somehow she has super human strength she had picked me up and thrown me into the living room i landed on he coffee table going through it i started to drag myself to the door as i saw the cops coming. I looked back seeing my mother drag the dead officer to the back yard. I yelled

"HELP FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE HELP!"

The cops had parked outside my house 8 squad cars each holding 2 cops 16 cops ran inside one of them picked me up and brought me outside looking me over. and grabbed the walkie talkie claiming we'd need an ambulance; I assumed the adrenalin was coursing through me cause i didn't feel a thing but i couldn't stand...I then started hearing gun shots. the officer looked at me and told me to stay put. that was twenty minutes ago; the gun fire has just stopped....

no ambulance has shown up yet...i don't think she gave the address...

after a while i just laid there slightly coughing starting to feel a horrible pain. for the first time i decided to look down at my body and upon doing so i wish i hadn't i saw a chunk of wood from the oak coffee table pierced through my side; with where it was it had clearly gone through a kidney

I started screaming for help but nothing came and like a weak animal even in town i kept screaming for help...then the officer came back out...but she was covered in dirt and like my mother she seemed to have blood coming out of her mouth in a steady thick syrup like stream.

I yelled and started to drag my body away when she grabbed my foot and dragged me to the garden....

On June 2nd 18 police officers a mother and her son have gone missing the mothers name Alice Crawly and the son James Crawly the officers will be listed on a different report. Looking around the house there was brain matter and blood sprayed from officer Gomez; the only thing different in the whole area besides that was the garden...

It's soil...there has never been richer
