I Need Help!!

Im writing a book that i want to get published but i need some help with some sci-fi gadget's to put into the book. If you guy's have any idea's please let me know. Oh and a little about the story. It's a post apocalyptic sci-fi romance with human's, robot's, super-mutant's, and a space alien invasion. The tech is scavenged bits of what ever is still running mashed together into some kind of weapon, armor or some other device. there will be energy weapon's, real world weapon's and powered armor, mech's and giant robot's. I just need help with the scavenged tech that the people of thee waste's use.
