Author's Note:

So I decided to make a little side story to the current one. The setting is Rakuen, the paradise healed by Furui but scorched once more by a civil war between the Bureau. But the Conspirators, a faction they have rivaled for so long had interrupted, and therefore leading to the Bureau's temporary alliance to stop them. The war is old fashioned, meaning, they use swords, spears, arrows, siege weapons, catapults and other medieval weapons. This is due to Rakuen not allowing technology to work inside it, therefore, guns and other machinery will not work.

Two amber eyes gazed upon the burning wreck of destruction, flames spread wide across the scorched battlefield. The plains was scattered with ungodly fire, the flames of war that have sprouted forth. Bodies sprawled across the field, lifeless and brutally injured, men and women who sacrificed themselves to their lord's cause. Valiant as they may have stood, the malice of war had engulfed them in a single gulp. The figure gazing upon this sight sighed and reveled at the destruction that has been done to this lost paradise. A paradise that was revived, but destroyed by the greed and selflessness of human minds. Closing his eyes, the male turned around, his cape willfully flowing into the smoke that emitted from the area. He was cloaked with an old-fashioned armor, adorned with designed fabrics of golden dragons and wolves onto every etch of his attire. The man wore the color blue, as to faction his alignment. He didn't seem like measly infantry, nor was he just an underling assigned to command over the foot soldiers. No, he was the prime commander himself, he who ordered that this war be made. The decision to waste human life was his, and he seemed to see no regrets in what he has done.

"Are you willing to risk more human lives?" a woman, with a low toned voice appeared in front of the male. "Is this what your selfish ambition has come to? The death of these innocent people, foolish enough to join a worthless cause." she snapped her phrases with conviction as the male gave him a nonchalant look.

"Anyone who is foolish enough to get in the way of my ambition will be cut down." he said in a rather direct tone, his eyes showing no emotion. "These men and women have been sparked with the entirety of my cause, and therefore, their wills have been fortified. This cause has inspired people to quell the chaos with order and reason." he spoke wisely, as if being an old scholar who knew various things on the matter of politics. And that he was.

"Order and reason?" The female snapped, her eyebrows creasing as her visage slowly becoming more irritated. A slender arm waved it across the horizon of dead bodies. "Is this what you mean?" She said, her teeth gritting in anger.

The male blinked, his eyes a bit droopy from her statement, as if mocking the woman before him. "You are merely a foolish cur, unable to see the horizon. Unable to transcend your sight into the bigger picture." The male turned around to look at the flames of the battlefield as he struck a finger across it, pointing at it as to emphasize a reason. "What you see before you is only a step to my greater ambition. How are we to survive if all we do is contract a peaceful pact? There is no compromise in this corrupt world, as you can see. They will give us no pardon, no excuse. The mere fact they have engaged my army in battle is a testament to their foolishness. We cannot reach peaceful terms, as you can see." the male phrased with conviction.

"The world is littered by fools." the male said, gazing into the red sky. "Fools who believe they have the bravado to challenge me. The idiots who have the gall to question my authority. The alliance we have is only a temporary pact, Yukana. Once I have dealt with these Conspirators, I will dispose of both you and all the remaining factions that have us divided and unite them all." The male turned, passing the green-haired female as he whistled for his horse. He seemed to be getting ready for his departure.

"And if I retaliate?" the female named Yukana retorted, seemingly not wanting to speak any further of the situation.

"Then I'll strike you down where you stand." the male said coldly, not giving the other his glance.

"Raiji Kizu.." she spoke lightly, as she gave the man a glare of her own. "If you continue to tread this path, you'll find that you will be the only one walking it." she warned, her omen seeming serious. But all the male did was laugh lowly at her statement. A slight turn of his head took a gander at the female as he prepared his horseback for departure. His amber eyes staring mercilessly into her soul.

"Well.." he spoke, slightly with a hearty tone. "It is better to betray the world, than have the world betray me." The male ended coldly as he struck the horse with the leather strap. The horse neighed, as it took off into the horizon, leaving a thick cloud of dust behind.
