#1 of In The Wake of War

As the sun rose over the white blanketed village of Rion, a place

once full of peace and harmony now destroyed in the wake of war.

Homes had been burned down to a cinder and bodies lay bloodied along the

once thriving feilds of vegetation. The occurence had not been forseen

for those of Rion were a neutral people, but apparently amongst them

was at least one traitor, possibly two, each on opposing sides of the

war that had been set off when Princess Zosma had been kidnapped.

Zosma was to have been the ruler of the lands for her parents had

died in a tragic accident a year ago and she was to have taken the

throne, perhaps it was more than just an accident no one even today

is certain. However this left her much younger sister, Zelea in the

hands of a guardian till the day she was old enough to take the throne

or the day when her sister would reappear.

On a lonely brown gnoll where once a lovely flower garden had grown

stood a little lynx kitten with enormous eyes holding close against

her body a little doll. The kitten's clothing as well as that of her

doll was tattered and torn, soot hiding most of the facial features

and soiling the doll. The kitten's tears rolled down her cheek

silently as she watched on, the last flickering flame now dowsed by

the downpour of rain. She was the last furre alive now of this town

or so she assumed. There appeared to be nothing and no one left and

if there were they were corpse's dead and rotting as ashes and the

outlines of houses surrounded them. It was a desolate sceen that

could not be changed.

With a sniffle the kitten jumped as thunder cracked above, she

ran for cover, but stopped as she came to the ruins of what she had

once called home. She didn't go inside, there was no longer an inside

to go in, but her family was buried beneath the rubble as the house

had caved in during the battle that had waged. There were kittens

younger and older than herself who had met their doom. She'd seen

such terrible things, some of them at least the females had been

taken as prisoners. Her best friend though, a male kitten about

a year older than her had been taken, she'd heard the soldiers

say that he'd be a tasty tidbit for those who prefered the same

gender as themselves. She wimpered his name, "Torry," again her

face was awash with tears, streaks of her silvery fur revealed in

streaks though still most of her and her clothing was torn, tattered

and covered in soot.

She glanced down at her doll, the only comfort she now had left,

"Jeniria. Oh Jeniria what am I going to do? Where will I go? What

is to happen to me. Why did Torry have to go?" she cried as she fell

to her knees, her arms wrapped around the small doll. "I miss Mommy

and Daddy, and Zyn, Cora, Cori, Jet, Jingle and Zahrn." They were

her brothers and sisters, all of whom had perished in the destruction

of their collapsed home and the war and fire. If they were not

underneath the rubble then they were somewhere else among the ruins

of Rion, bleeding, possibly with decapitations. It was to much for

such a small child to even comphrehend. However that night of the

battle and the morning afterwards she had had to grow up. Although

she still wasn't there, she was now wiser, but more distrustful. She

had no one left and now she would have to fend for herself, though

she knew not how, only being eleven years old even if she could pass

for thirteen or fourteen.

"Jeniria," the kitten whispered, "they who have brought chaos

to the village of Rion will pay, I will see to it, I will not rest

until vengence is mine." She was smarter than quite a few her own

age and had been put ahead three grades, but now she had so much

more to deal with. At least she just had herself, her young baby

brother would have been hard to keep alive, but that still didn't

mean she didn't wish that he was here or any of the others. The

smell now was putrid throughout the land and it quite saddened her.

Never again could she look back, never could she go back to the way

things had been, by some wicked twist of fate everything and everyone

she had ever known and loved were gone.

With a sniffle she slowly turned around to face the opposite direction

in which the village of Rion lay, all in ruin. There was nothing that one

such as herself could do, for no one was left, nothing not even a single

soul aside from herself still breathed life in the place which had once

been full of peace and tranquility. Where everyone knew your name,

a place where there had been no enemies, only friends, but now it

was destroyed, as her innocence was. She'd been sheltered in the

village of Rion, sheltered from War and Hatred and so much more.

Knowing that she was the only one left alive not taken prisoner by

those soldiers of man, she sensed or believed that, because she

was a survivor and had not been taken prisoner that she had some

purpose in life otherwise she knew she would have died or worse.

That in itself was a miracle for she too could very well have been

a casualty in the raging war that swept the land. Now here she stood

an orphanged kitten furre and had to fend for herself somehow, at least

she still had Jeniria, her doll.

Now was the end of innocence, and yet still there was much more

to learn and to know. Only one kind of innocence was left to her.

She had been the daughter of a Viscount, her mother a beautiful woman

of the ton. Her eldest sister Cora was to have been married next

week to someone she hadn't even known, but she had not minded, it

was the thing to do in their day and age. Now she would have to

somehow get the news to Cora's fiancee. She knew little of him, not

what he looked like, sounded like or even acted like. The only thing

she knew was his name, Eldon second son of the King, next in line

for the throne since his brother had dissappeared when he was only

two years old and Eldon not even yet born. With a sigh she began her

quest, trekking down the grassy gnoll to the other side of civilization.

Where she could see no destruction had not yet followed and it was

where she would go, to warn others of what had happened and

perhaps to join the army.

With teary aquamarine irises she hugged her doll, Jeniria close,

somehow, someway she would make it through this. She would have

vengence against those whom had destroyed her family and her town,

and her innocence. That night after seven miles of walking

it was way past her bedtime, not that she had one now, for she had

no roof over her head, no arms around her, no family to comfort her,

no parents to tell her what to do. She didn't care that she'd had

rules though, she had had a wonderful family and loved them dearly

even now that they were gone.

She lay down beneath a weeping willow for it gave in her oppinion

the most protection in as far as natural shelters went, there hadn't

appeared to be a cave or den nearby so she figured that it would have

to do until she moved on. Curling into fetal position using her doll

as a pillow, curling silver tresses covering Jeniria, and using

some tree leaves as a blanket she slept restlessly. She knew she had

to keep her strength up and be aware, the latter would be taken care

of, when she woke she'd work on the former, for one could not have

strength without food.

****************************

Kicking his boot against the ground, hands in his pockets he looked

up at the sky, tonight was a full moon. He would turn again tonight,

but he was no werewolf that anyone could be certain of. With a

bitter laugh at himself he lay down, he was sure there was no

lifeforms for miles around, at least not any that would matter for

one was able to eat the critters of the forest, so he didn't believe

there would be anyone around to harm or maim in any way. Not

that he had much choice in the matter, the beast in him always,

always managed to get free on a night like this. Sometimes he

thought that he'd rather be dead than have to go through this

again and again repeatedly especially when there was the

chance that someone would end up hurt or dead. Shaking his

head he banished his thoughts, it was no use thinking when there

was nothing he could do, but try and get as far away from civilization

as was possible. At that moment his stomach chose to grumble

mightly as his thoughts turned towards that of some tasty morsel

of flesh that he would surely end up engulphing even if he had no

wish to do so.

Soon he thought, soon the moon would glow bright and he would change,

even if he was just a measly jaguar furre, more human than anything.

All which he had were the ears, tail and paws of such a creature, but

tonight he would change into a were-jaguar. A vicious beast that had

terroized the outer city limits of Narvinia. He'd killed several,

maimed many and knew he had turned some of them. However he'd never

heard stories about them, just himself for he could vaugly recall

what he had done.

Removing his clothing he revealed to the air his bronzed skin,

darkned by the sun from hard labour of outdoor work. He was a farmer,

no more like a slave now, but sometimes he dreamed of a past where he'd

been royal, but it was just fancifal dreams, or so said his mother now long

gone, because of him and his rampage one moonlit night. Closing his eyes

he tried to block the wave of guilt that still plauged him.

The clouds soon parted, the tender rays of the moon shining upon

him as though it were a spotlight and he growled in pain, he always

fought it even if he knew it was enivitable. He could hear his bones

craking as they reshaped and reformed. His back arched slightly,

though not as much as a werewolves might. His eyes became almond

shaped and a lighter green that was almost transparent or so they

seemed. His paws grew twice their size, and his tail became

the same length as his body as he stood well over seven feet tall,

with bulging mucles. His face formed into that of a jaguar's

his teeth becoming sharp as felines.

Once the transformation was complete there where once a furre had

stood was now a were-jaguar whose stomach grumbled sounding like

thunder. Jumping onto all fours he sniffed the air trying to find a

scent, perhaps of some unknowing prey. With ears pinnioned against

his head he stalked towards a distant gnoll, some scent there seemed

to draw him ever towards it, passing feild mice, quail and other

such prey up. He could sense that this was something bigger and

perhaps jucier, though he could also smell beyond the being

the scent of blood and death.

Soon he was upon a weeping willow and leaped through the hanging

limbs so that he stood over the tiny form on the ground. He growled

and hissed at the form his jaw opening ready to snap the neck of

the soot covered form.

****************************

Feeling heavy warm breaths over her, she opened her eyes and once

she had done so opened her mouth ready to scream, but no sound came

forth, she was to frightened. This massive beast would surely

slaughter her, but then she would not be able to tell anyone what

had happened nor would she be able to seek vengence. His teeth she

watched as they drew ever nearer to her neck. Qucikly rolling over

beneath him with her stomach to the ground she made to scramble

away, only to have his teeth clamp down on the back of her neck.

She meweled in fright.

He was taken aback, this thing, he could not devour it though

he still might. It had a peculiar oder he had not smelt before,

and it made him pause a fraction of a moment. And it sounded

almost like one of his own kind, though small and frightened

even if it didn't look like it.

She stilled, now there was little choice in the matter, but maybe

if she didn't stir he'd lose interest in her as a meal or whatever

he had in mind for her.

His talons extended as he clawed away her clothes, hearing her

scream once as he left at least one mark upon her. The sound excited

him, soon his penis grew enlarged becoming dimensions of twelve

inches by six inches long and around. She wasn't in heat, but that

did not matter to him. His cock rested between her netherlips.

She gasped beneath him, paleing beneath her silvery fur that was

a shade or two lighter than her hair, "Please... don't."

Deep in his throat he laughed, his handpaws wrapped around her hips

pulling her up and closer against his very maleness. Slowly he began

to slide inside her velvety walls within.

She gasped and cried, "Stop!"

"Oh? Please don't stop? Alright then I won't."

She spluttered beneath him and before she could say a single word

she felt his rod ram into her, past her hymen. She screamed in agony

as she felt torn asunder by the savagery of the beast who held her.

Again and again she felt him ram into her, pulling out so much then

slamming back in. His balls banged against her bottom and she felt

nothing more than shame as she cried in fear, agony and in loss for

all she had to grieve about while her tiny young body was abused

by the beast. Finally she heard him let out a loud growl and

felt him burst inside her, and she sobbed.

Shuddering he released his seed within the passage of the creature

beneath him, making her his. Collapsing on top of her he nearly

crushed her with his weight, but he rolled over onto his back and

picking her up deposited her on his rod once more. He was once again

hard. "Ride me bitch." he laughed harshly as he lifted one of his

hands ready to strike her.

Afraid he would destroy her, though this was surely destroying her

at least alive she'd have a chance to seek vengence on those who

had destroyed everything she'd ever had, but now he too was added to

that list. Slowly she began to move her hips back and forth, slightly

seeming to lift herself from him then drop back down so that his

shaft remained inside her sheath. She took no pleasure from it as

tears silently rolled down her cheeks.

With a growl of pleasure his cum burst forth from his erectile state

between the velvety lips, and inside the plush inner walls of the

lynx kitten, he filled her with his cum once more, shooting upwards

inside of her before he once again withdrew. Gently he lay her down

whilst he glanced up at the moon and before he sprinted away to

leave her there crying, desolate and alone, bruised and nude

he knealt down and licked her cheek with a gentleness that made

a mockery of his earlier terrorfying state and his harsh treatment

of her almost as though he cared. Of course she didn't believe that

he did, not after what had happened and her mind was reeling to much

to even care or to try and understand what was going on. Neither of

them knowing each others name, and he not particullary caring. Once

back to where he'd left his clothing he collapsed and changed back which

was just as painful as becoming the beast.

He fell asleep there, and would no doubt be unable to

recall what had happened for that was often the case, though sometimes

he did remember, but vaugely. This one if he remembered it would

bring to him such shame, that it was certain, with his mind frame

and all that had gone on before, would make him wish for his

own death more than he ever had done so before.

****************************

Sobbing she looked around to see if he was still there, but he

was not, she was thankful for that, but now it would be difficult

to track him down. She was to weak and weary to contemplate much and

so fell back asleep after climbing up into the tree. Perhaps tomorrow

would be a better day than today. Anything would be better than

this day and yesterday. Her innocence now was completely gone, she

had nothing to offer a potential swain, but all matters would have

to wait till the morrow in order to even think what she would next

set forth to accomplish. Her dreams were nightmarish, full of visions

of fire, rage, war and abuse of the were-jaguar who had visited her i

n the night upon a lonely full moon. If only he'd been less cruel, less

demanding, less frightening, and had offered comfort instead of what

he had, then maybe there would be no such nightmares that were

sure to persist for days, weeks, months even years to come.

Somehow, someway she could destroy him for what he had done

to her, but first she would sleep as best she could dispite the

nightmares and tomorrow when she woke would set out towards

the Castle in order to join the Army not forseeing the future except

for what she desired most, justice and revenge.
