"Gnoll-where to Hide"

"Such curious creatures, these humans..." Nex said as he settled into a perch high off the forest floor, watching a group of humans make camp. There were three males and one female constructing temporary fabric buildings that surrounded a great flame at the center of their camp.

Nex was a powerful warrior and he was quite light on his feet. The thickly muscled gnoll could feel the branches under him bend, but they didn't break under the weight of his body or his armor as he stared down at the strangers. His loincloth hung freely, giving any below him a good view of the goods he could normally keep hidden in proper company.

"Nex! Get down here!"

The gnoll looked down to see another warrior below, he was leaner than him, and his fur was more white in color with a brown streak that went straight up his back and almost flew off the crest of his brow, unlike his own which was a darker, grayer color. He clutched at the tree branch and coiled around it as he descended, dropping heavily onto the ground next to the other scantily clad warrior.

"What is it Morg?" Nex asked with a growl before crossing his arms.

"I grow tired of your curiosity, Nex." He said. "The humans are not your concern, in these woods, they will not last the night."

"I've watched them. They are quite resourceful creatures." Nex said. "I would not be surprised if they did."

"The darkness will consume them, just as it has every human before them."

"Why does it attack them and not us, cousin?"

"Because we do not stick snout where snout does not belong." Morg said slowly. "You should not dwell where humans roam, it will only give you trouble."

"Heh. Sometimes I think you tell me these things just to see me get in trouble." Nex said with a chortle. "Much like when we were young."

"Don't remind me of that, Nex." The gnoll waved a claw. "As memory served, you've scarred me more physically than you ever could mentally."

"Right." Nex said sarcastically as they continued down the path.

"Neeeeeeeeeex...." A voice whispered, making the gnoll turn, but nothing could be seen where it had come from. "Come, Nex. Come to me..."

"Nex! Will you get your ears out of the clouds and come on!?" Morg's voice shocked Nex out of the daze he found himself in, and he continued on after the party, nothing but a chill crawling along his skin and riding up his fur.

As they traveled through the forest, the fading light began to play tricks on him, Nex would turn to see shapes that he'd thought were animals or beings entirely. They gave him headaches after a while and was the first to request a moment to sit and to catch his breath. As the party settled down, one of them lit a small fire and it seemed the sun faded even faster after that. A strange illness was upon Nex, he felt dizzy and had lost much of his confident composure. Morg frowned and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Nex... what is wrong?"

"N-nothing." Nex said, shaking his head but his hand defiantly rested on the base of his snout as he tried to push another wave of dizziness from his mind. "I am just not well at the moment."

Morg placed a paw on his cousin's nose and frowned. "You are dehydrated." He said. "Here, drink this." He said, taking a flask from his hip and handing it to the warrior. Nex drank from the flask and instantly began to feel better. He was much thirstier than he felt and he rather eagerly drank the entire flask before he realized what he was doing.

"I'm... I'm sorry about that." He said. "I didn't..."

He paused as Morg returned his hand to the gnoll's snout. "Your snout has cooled, your nose is wet again, that is all I'd hoped from that. Don't worry, I can refill it when we pass the river."

Nex tried again to stand, but wobbled and quickly fell back into a seated position. It felt as though something was trying to hold him down, Morg frowned a bit again. "You are too weak to move on. Something in the forest ails you. I will return you to the village."

"No." Nex said. "I just need to rest." He patted Morg assuringly. "You and the rest of the pack go on ahead, I will meet you at the river in the morning. You should really move on before it grows too dangerous to travel."

"We will remain with you." Morg said, giving a sharp whistle to the rest of the group. "We make camp here." He said to the other men. "We will continue our trip to the hunting grounds tomorrow."

"But..."

"You're as hard headed as you are eager to die." Morg answered his cousin with a snappy sounding voice. "We can save half a mile's journey for tomorrow. I will ready your bebed roll."

Morg was stubborn and somewhat of a curmudgeon, older than Nex by a single season it was surprising to see how stern he'd grown during the years. He was a natural leader, and naturally... Nex tended to defy his orders frequently. But in this case, short of seeing his breakfast make a reappearance from his mouth, he figured he would rest and breathe away the feeling of being trapped like he was just then. He began to breathe more heavily now, suddenly feeling sick and exhausted he stood up abruptly and just as quickly felt himself falling.

It felt like he had fallen forever, but he'd only just realized he fainted when his eyes opened to the clear night sky above him and he was wrapped tightly in the security of his blanket on the bed roll that had been laid out for him. He gripped the sheets and that feeling of unease began to wash over him again.

"Neeeeeeeex...." The voice made the gnoll's ears perk, but he wasn't sure if it was terror or interest that filled his heart just then. He sat up and looked around. No one was awake that he could tell; the fire had been put out over an hour ago, the smoke was still rising from it. But no one seemed to be talking to him. "Nex, I know what you desire, deep within your heart... come to me."

Nex tried to fight against the will of his body as it turned and he slid from his bed. He was still dressed, but somehow the idea of that felt unnatural. He was tempted to remove his armor and clothing, but he stopped himself, merely obeying the unseeing guidance into the forest and away from the camp.

Nex looked back at the slowly shrinking campgrounds, he tried to cry out to warn the others, but the words would not escape his throat. He felt cornered by his own body, trapped inside like he was looking out of the window of a hut, and having no control over his outside actions. He began to wonder what this voice was that called him, he tried to pull his mind back but it seemed impossible. He could feel his fur flutter in the evening wind, he watched as the darkness of the night surrounded him and soon he began to realize he was retreading his own footsteps from earlier, heading back in the other direction toward the human camp. His feet automatically passed the obstacles that presented themselves as he walked, effortlessly he climbed over rocks and walked through the frigid runoff from the small muddy stream they'd passed over earlier. Miraculously his stomach and chest began to loosen somewhat as he continued onward, like moving away from the humans' camp had made him feel sicker and sicker.

"YAAAAAGH!" The scream was so loud that it broke the strange hold over the gnoll and he spotted a man running through the woods. He recognized him as one of the men at the camp he had seen earlier. He wailed as he approached the gnoll and fell over onto his hands and feet only a few inches from him. As he looked at Nex his eyes shined with the watery light from tears that had been running down his face. "P-Please! Help me!" He screamed, lacking any control over the volume of his voice as he staggered toward Nex. "You-you have to help me!"

"Why should I help a human?"

"You don't--don't understand. It attacked us, it seared right through their hearts, their heads exploded..." He sobbed. "Blood was... everywhere!"

He was coated in blood splatters that covered the majority of his hat, he wore no pants and barely any undergarments to speak of. It was like he'd run screaming without even stopping to tuck himself in properly. "What did you see?" Nex asked.

"It..." The man sniffled. "It was a bright, purple light... we thought it was a firefly at first, but... as it grew closer, it began to... I'm not sure... sense our thoughts, I guess?" He shivered. "E-Elaine she tried to stand between it and her father and it shot straight through her... she fell over dead in an instant as the professor's head began to swell like a balloon. He seemed... he seemed to enjoy what filled his mind, he even began to laugh even after looking at his dead daughter. Then... he said "Oh my..." and his head blew apart clean off his shoulders! It was the most horrific sight I'd ever seen!"

"You had three men though, what of the third?"

"Elijah... he and I tried to flee it. But something stopped him, he stopped dead in his tracks and looked back at it. I could see it radiating some weird aura. It was like it was talking to him and he could understand it... then he exploded completely... that's when I ran."

"You ran aimlessly into the forest to flee a creature like this? You must have a death wish." He sighed. "I will examine your camp, perhaps more survived than you suspect."

"I... I really hope so." He said with a cringe. "And... if you don't mind me asking, what are you?"

"I am a gnoll. I am native to these forests, and immune to the creature's destructive influence. Now come. I will protect you."

Nex felt his body move on his own accord, feeling an elated anxiety over what was happening to him versus what had happened to this human and his companions.

Coming over the next rise, the human slowed down as Nex marched ahead toward their camp. It had been torn to shreds, the shelters they had put up were full of holes, one had fallen over the fire and filled the night with a light more intense than the flame itself. It was there that he saw it; a strange purple light that shot up from the ground and filled the night sky and forest in its brilliance. Nex shielded his eyes from the bright light and all of a sudden, everything fell still.

Nex felt his nose let out a loud snort as he was wakened with light slapping to his face. He looked up to see Morg standing over him, a confused look in his eyes as Nex sat up. "Nex? Are you alright?"

It was daylight, Nex must have been sleeping on the ground throughout the night. There was no dragging him from the camp, there was no human seeking rescue. It must have been a dream.

"You know you want me."

"What?" Nex questioned his cousin.

Morg's eyes widened and his eyebrows raised. "I... did not say anything, Nex. Are you sure you are well?"

"I am... hrm... just confused." Nex said. "I thought you said something."

Morg shook his head, then immediately spoke. "You want me, Nex, I can feel it in my gut." He looked at the gnoll, his eyes glowing a swirling purple light.

"No!" Nex grabbed both sides of his head as he cried out, looking down and away from his cousin.

"You've wanted me ever since we were young. Admit it!" He said more harshly now, his voice sounding gravelly. "And the best of all is that you've always wanted me to mate with you! You prantak!"

In their language, "prantak" was a rather harsh term for one who yearned to be with one of their own sex. And while he had thought about it, Nex would never actually admit this sort of thing to his cousin. "No, no! You are wrong!" Nex pleaded angrily. "Stay out of my head!"

Suddenly, the gnoll grabbed the back of his neck and forced him to look into his eyes. Such a beautiful swirl emanated from them, Nex couldn't look away. He tried to push his cousin back, but it was hardly helpful. Morg grinned and spoke in a completely different voice, an almost soothing voice. "You cannot resist us, you cannot fight us, gnoll... give in. Give into our desires... give in to your lust."

Nex had already grown hard under his loincloth, his cock was now fully exposed from behind it as his struggles began to slow. "I..." His voice remained sturdy but it was steadily ebbing off. "I don't want..." His voice faded, his eyes beginning to echo the light coming from the other gnoll's eyes as he lowered his arms and was pulled into a lusty locking of their muzzles.

The light of the purple orb hovered down in front of Nex's face, shimmering and flickering in a particular pattern. The human watched from the edge of the camp as the light came closer to Nex's face, making him fall to his knees as it glowed brightly, reflecting in his eyes, shining off his fur. Then the human did something either incredibly brave, or incredibly foolish; grabbing a large stick, he bellowed out a loud roar and started charging toward the creature holding the gnoll in its gaze. In a resounding pulse of light though, the man had become no more than a pile of bones, his flesh suddenly flash fried into ash only a few inches away.

"Sit, gnoll..." The voice said to Nex who immediately fell back to his backside, his tail flopping under him. "And remove your garment." It said, indicating the male's loincloth, which he mindlessly removed by tugging the cord on the side and tossing the fabric off into the darkness. "We mean you no harm, Nex... we desire you, we want to give you pleasure..."

"Give... me pleasure." Nex repeated mindlessly as he stared at the light.

"Stroke yourself." The swirl commanded, flashing brighter as it did so. "Pleasure yourself..."

Nex was already quite aroused by this point, just touching his own shaft made it jump from his paws for a moment. He took it in both hands and began to slowly run his pads down along the length. He shivered and sighed passionately as a slow trail of precum began to spout from the tip and drain down the bottom of his cock toward his thick, round balls. Instinctively, his hand crept lower and he began to tug on them, occasionally lifting his hand to sniff and to lick at the liquid covering his index and middle fingers.

"Good.... very good..." The voice said assuringly, its subtle glow providing comfort for the gnoll who had given up all struggle against it. "I want you to pleasure your hole now." It sounded pleased as Nex's hand came even lower and he began to press his digits inward. A jump of precum shot onto his chest. "Yes.... yesssss.... give into your pleasure, give into your desire... you want to cum, you want to cover yourself in your seed, and you don't even care..."

Nex's eyes twitched a bit, he could feel that burning sensation rising suddenly, he wanted it to come, he wanted to please his master, his mouth opened slightly as his toe claws dug into the dirt and he hissed as his strokes began to speed up, he slipped a second digit into his hole, pressing harder against his prostate, feeling the tingling sensation rise drastically.

"NNNGH!" He grunted loudly, but his face remained frozen. He felt a slap of cum strike his armor, then another, more powerful burst shoot across his muzzle. Another one shot against his face just to the right of his eye and another hit his chin, getting a little into his open maw. He tasted it and another heavy slap hit his chest and stomach at once as the orgasm began to edge away slightly. The light was mere inches from his face, it glowed and flickered almost tauntingly as it hovered.

"Oh, yes... yes..." It whispered as it fluttered about. "We are pleased." It said. "You came well... you will be ours again..." Slowly it faded away. "Now, sleep... you will waken tomorrow morning with your kin." As it faded completely out of sight, a wave of exhaustion suddenly hit Nex and he toppled over sideways. Spying the last human's skeletal remains as the darkness enveloped him.

The sun was shining the next morning as he bolted upright in his bed roll. Nex looked around in a bit of a stark panic as he realized that the night before must have been a dream. Morg looked at him and came over to him with a stern look in his eye. "Did I not say to stay away from the humans?"

"I... what?" Nex asked.

"You wandered into camp last night without your loincloth. We followed your trail back to the human camp and found that it had completely vanished. Your loincloth was found there, and it is assumed you frightened the humans off. Is that true?"

"N-No! I don't think so. I don't really remember what happened last night."

"The next time you wander off like that without leave, I will have your balls to decorate my hut, cousin. It is the law to never approach the humans."

"But I didn't..."

"And another word of advice. If you are going to pleasure yourself, please task yourself to clean up afterward? I am not willing to do that to you again."

Indeed Nex was clean. but he did not remember pleasuring himself in any sort. But as he sat there, watching his cousin's backside walking away from him, a strange warm sensation began to rise from his stomach...

"Neeeeeeeeeeeeeex!"
