Jack looked at the wolf that was sitting before him. Luke was about five years old now. "Luke?" Jack asked."Yeah?" Luke asked, looking up. When he saw the look on Jack's face he became worried, "Wh-what? Why are you looking at me like that?" His voice quivered, and the pup looked on the verge of tears.Jack merely rubbed the back of his head and looked away. "You're, um...you're a kid, dude." the husky said glancing at the whelp to see Luke's reaction."I'm a kid?" Luke asked, looking at himself. He was surprised at what he saw and, it seemed, slightly embarrassed. His mood quickly changed to upset and he started to cry again. Jack, not liking the idea of someone, especially a kid, being upset, he picked up the pup and hugged him, trying to calm him down.I swear, this kid has the mind of a three year old, getting upset over everything. Jack thought. "Hey, it's okay, I'm not mad." he said."That's not all that I'm upset about." the wolf sniffled."Really now?" Jack asked, as if he didn't already know. Luke obviously did this to himself. His motives? Well, Jack's best guess was that Luke's emotions triggered the action.Jack also knew that the pup was now wearing a diaper, and that the pup had just used it. That part was obvious."Well I can tell you this, there's nothing for you to be upset about except for the fact you're wearing a wet diaper." Jack said, trying to keep the mood light."And how exactly is turning into a five year old not something I should be worried about?" Luke asked.Jack replied, "Well, I would love to be able to regress right now, but I have to be mature at the moment." Luke looked at Jack with a questioning look."You would want to be in my place?" Luke asked."Yeah. In fact, I can actually regress myself at will, but my age affects my stealth. I don't know why, though." Jack said.Luke laughed, "Maybe it's the lack of being able to crouch. I mean, you do have less motor skills at younger ages.""Perhaps." Jack said, "Okay, so I need to know your real name. I'm not going to call you by something that a demon labeled you.""And how are you going to find that out?" Luke asked, "I don't exactly remember.""Ah, you may not consciously remember, but

your mind knows truths. To make it easier, tell me, 'My name starts with' and then put a letter." Jack suggested, "In the mean time, we should get going. How about a piggy back ride?""Since I don't know how to fix my age at will, sure." Luke accepted. As Jack put Luke on his shoulders, Luke asked, "Does my name start with a J?""Well, I wouldn't know. I can't detect lies in questions. Those are for seeking knowledge, not asserting fact or fiction. My name starts with a J, though." Jack stated."What is your name?""Jack.""Well, Jack. I'm pretty sure my name starts with a P." Jack's quiver strap started to glow."It doesn't appear so, but your diaper's full of it." Jack added with a chuckle."Oh, shut up. I don't have any spares. I'm only just now starting to enjoy diapers, anyway.""Oh? I thought you were upset over them." Jack asked."I'm starting to appreciate the softness." Luke admitted, "I'm also sure that my name starts with G.""Go fish.""There's no pond to fish from.""Dig one then.""How about Q? Highly unlikely, I bet.""Wrong again. Well, I guess that's three letters we've knicked out.""Did I not guess J?""You asked it. I can't disprove a question.""My name must start with a J, then.""I'm afraid not, buddy." Jack informed."Well then it must start with a Z."Jack stopped walking. "That's actually correct." he said."Awesome. Now what?" Jack continued walking."Start guessing names or hints to them." Jack suggested, "Who knew that so much fun can be made of this?""I didn't. But I know that my name has an A in it. Not very many Z names that don't.""Inductive, my furry friend, and also correct.""Well then is it Zack? It's a common name.""It is indeed, nice guess. Spell it.""It's spelled Z-A-C-K.""It does rightfully appear so, Zack.""Woo! Four guessing streak!" Zack whooped. There were a few moments of silence, "What now, Jack?""I don't know, Zack. Hey! That rhymed." the husky said with a childish giggle, "How about more guessing games?""I would like to know where we're going, first.""I'm honestly just looking for signs of my girlfriend trying to signal me. I also just realized that I'd abandoned stealth." Jack stopped walking, his voice slowly fading.Jack reached up and put Zack on the ground while the wolf asked, "What are you doing?" Zack asked as he turned around. His answer was a five year old Jack looking at him, smiling in a juvenilely devious manner. Zack never noticed the bioluminescence of Jack's markings until now.Jack had black overfur and white underfur like most huskies, but he had a staggering red stripe seperating the two. It glowed slightly."Nice stripe." Zack commented. He looked at his paw pads. They were bordered by a ring of glowing, deep blue fur. He looked back at Jack, who hadn't moved a muscle, "What?"Jack poked Zack's arm, said, "You're it!" and ran off. Zack's childish mind kicked in and he chased after the husky. After a playful bout of tag, Jack was it and was chasing Zack down on all fours, looking to all the world as if he was truly five years old. He got close enough to Zack and tackled the wolf, sending them rolling until they came to stop, with Jack lying on Zack, the husky's head resting on the whelp's chest. They were both breathing heavily, having been running around for hours."You are my new best friend." Jack said as he caught his breath."I was just going to say the same thing." Zack added. Jack rolled off of Zack and lay beside him, the two just lying in silence."So how much do you remember?" Jack asked.Zack thought for a second, "I guess just enough to make it convenient for a demon.""Meaning?""I remember basic human functioning skills. That's about it other than random bits and pieces of memory." Zack clarified, "A little more comes back each day, but I wish I could wake up and remember everything.""You know, I don't know why, but ever since I met you I've been having a sense of nostalgia." Jack said, "Something about you reminds me of my best friend

from a long time ago. He moved away when I was five though. I never made very many friends after that. Meeting Holly, my girlfriend, was a blessing. I guess that's why I'm the way I am. Young in mind and heart, and craving to let loose all the time.""Let me guess," Zack started, "you found out you like diapers before you met Holly, and you had to keep it secret from her?"Jack laughed a bit, "Not for long. She was really good at getting information she wanted. That's one of the main reasons we had to separate. She was being tracked because she was too curious. She said that she knew a place to go, but that they could track two people much easier than one. I just hope she's okay.""I'm sure she is. If she's anything like you, she's probably better off than us." Zack assured the husky.Jack sighed and looked around. He hoped he would find a hint to her location, and, by a stroke of luck, he did. "That sly vixen." he muttered with a smile, standing up. He back toward the building behind him while remaining fixated on a point at the top of the structure in front of him."What was that?" Zack asked, sitting up. He looked toward Jack."Have you ever climbed a building?" Jack asked, ignoring Zack's question."Well, no. I didn't exactly walk around thinking that was a logical skill." Zack said.Jack giggled and turned towards the building behind him, getting a grip on the bricks, "Then grab on."Zack hopped on Jack's back, and Jack proceeded to crawl up the tower. "Hey Jack?" Zack asked, "Where's your bow and arrows?"The husky replied, "On my wrist. When you're given a magical quiver, don't underestimate it." Zack saw the gadget on his new best friend's wrist."A quiver turned into that?" Zack asked. The husky replied, "It can also turn into a backpack. Don't ask why, cuz I don't know either."Zack decided to look around at this point and made the mistake of looking down. He tightened his grip on the Jack's back and closed his eyes shut."Yeah, we're pretty high up, Zack. Also, did you just wet yourself again?" Jack asked."S-sorry!" Zack immediately answered.Jack just giggled, "Don't sweat it. I was just making sure that warmth on my back wasn't a hallucination.""I really should

change my diaper soon. Diaper rashes are not fun." Zack said as he began to look inside windows."You're telling me. My ignorance taught me that the hard way." Jack scoffed, "Don't worry, I have spares that'll fit you. You can change on the r-OOF!" Jack got cut off as Zack began flailing about."Ah! I think I just saw someone in that window." Zack cried."Calm down, it was probably just a ghoul. Or your imagination." Jack dismissed, gritting his teeth to keeo his grip, "Now could you stop flailing? You're gonna kill us both.""Sorry, you're right." Zack murmured. Thirty seconds of silence later, Jack was heaving himself and his passenger onto the roof, and rolled forward, throwing Zack off and beginning to pant like a dog."So why did we get up here again?" Zack asked, standing up."I saw a message in a script that me and my girlfriend use." explained the canine child, "It told me to climb up here.""What script?""Not important, here." Jack sat up and morphed his wristband into a backpack, handing the wolf a diaper from within."Well these look extremely childish..." Zack commented."Of course they do. And for good reasons. One being that they're diapers, and another being that I like the childish look." Jack explained."One other thing..." the wolf started, looking away and blushing."What?" Jack zipped up his backpack after getting out some baby powder and wipes."I...don't...I don't know...how to...change a...a uh...diaper." Zack mumbled."Oh, that's it?" Jack said, sounding confused that that would embarrass Zack, "I can change you, if you want. I mean, it's no problem.""I dunno..." Zack said with reluctance.Jack rolled his eyes, "Dude, lay down. You don't need to be getting a diaper rash cuz you're shy." Jack walked over to Zack, accepting the diaper as Zack gave it to the husky.Zack then lay down and Jack quickly pulled off the wolf's pants and changed Zack's diaper in a matter of seconds. "Thanks." Zack said as Jack finished."No problem, it's what friend are for." Jack replied with a friendly smile, putting away the powder and wipes he had gotten out."Where are my pants?" Zack

asked. Jack reached to where the pants had been placed."They were just right here." Jack mused. He looked over the building and saw the pants lying on the ground, "Oh.""What?! No!" Zack exclaimed, leaning over the building himself, "This is so embarrassing..."Jack rubbed the wolf's back trying to comfort, "Hey, would it make you feel better if I went without pants?"Zack didn't look up, "Maybe." he muttered."Well, then look!" Jack announced. Zack looked over to see Jack posing like a superhero, his pants discarded.Zack couldn't help but giggle, "Okay, that does make me feel a little better."Jack then walked to the far edge of the building. "There's a note over here." he noted."There is?" Zack asked."And it's from Holly!" Jack ripped open the letter, ignoring Zack's question. On the inside was a note in Holly's handwriting, also written in the same code that Holly and Jack used so often."What's it say?" Zack asked as he peered over Jack shoulder, "And what's it written in?""It's written in Elian Script." Jack said as he read over the letter, "'Dear Jack, I'm sorry.'"Jack pauses as his face shows his obvious confusion. He chuckles nervously and continues, "'I've tried to make it work, but I can't. I've waited for you, day in and day out, hoping you would arrive eventually. I've given up. I hope you'll understand. By the time you read this, who knows what'll have happened to me, but I promise you that it won't be something you like. Again, I'm sorry. Holly.'" Jack was tearing up and on the verge of beginning to wail like a child as he finished the letter. He crumble it up and threw it of the building. He looked at the envelope with a newfound rage. Examining the shredded paper, he found something he had previously overlooked. The demon's sigil: three 6's, the mark of the beast.Either Holly had been killed and this was written by a demon, or Holly herself was not who she claimed. In a trance of shock, Jack dropped the note and walked back the way he came."Jack?" Zack asked as Jack walked away, "Jack? Are you okay?" the husky ignored Zack's questions, "Jack! Answer me!" the wolf called as Jack got closer to the other edge of the building. Why is he...oh no.Zack's system went

into full overload as he leaped after Zack on all fours, tackling the husky to the ground with inches of building to spare. The wolf forced Jack to look into his lupine eyes, and saw nothing but a blank stare and emotionless face. Zack shook Jack's shoulders, trying to break him from the trance, "Jack! Dude! Wake up!"Out of frustration, Zack growled and slapped Jack across his canine face. Jack's face seemed to melt and reform in a instant, transforming into anger as he yelled at Zack, "What the hell was that for?""Thank God, you're alright." Zack replied, suddenly looking tired, "I'm sleepy." Zack fell off of Jack and the husky gasped as he saw a dart sticking out of the wolf's shoulder...
